I lucked out and they had sour beer on top so I ordered one of those as well. It was pretty packed for Sunday. A lot of people seem to be enjoying themselves some high top tables as well as the full bar with TVs. And the nachos came out. They looked amazing and tasted even better. Steak was good quality jalapeños were hot and the sauce was awesome. I'm bummed this place is so far from my house. I'd probably come quite often for these parking was pretty easy we found some on the street but I'm sure on busier days. It might be a little more difficult. The location isn't huge, but it's not exactly small either. I found the last few seats at the end of the bar and really had a good time. Service was nice and quick. We had no issues. Sat at the bar at Indio Taproom and had a solid overall experience. The food was decent, about what you would expect from a bar, and the bar selection was good, though I am more of a wine person. One unusual aspect was the communal all gender bathroom. I did not mind it, but I heard a couple walking out complaining about it, so it may not be for everyone. The food took too long to come out, and forty dollars felt steep for a sampler. On the bright side, it was a much more enjoyable experience than watching the Bears try to keep up with the 49ers. (Lots of 49er fans in the desert, I guess!) Still a decent spot to grab a drink and a bite. read more

Let's be very clear--your response to our review is not only inaccurate, it's completely misleading. You claimed our dog showed aggressive behavior and that there were complaints. That did not happen. Not a single guest with children complained about our dog. The only issue came from your own employee. What's worse is your complete failure to manage the situation. An off-duty employee took it upon themselves to harass us, and not one person currently working--no manager, no staff member, not even your security--stepped in to address it. Instead, your chef chose to involve himself and continued the harassment, which is both unprofessional and unacceptable. At this point, it's obvious your establishment has an issue with dogs and, more importantly, a lack of accountability when your staff behaves inappropriately. You chose to deflect and misrepresent what happened rather than take responsibility. As we were leaving, multiple parents commented on how poorly this was handled and how inappropriate your chef's behavior was. And just to address your claim one more time--our so-called "aggressive" dog calmly interacted with others, even licking our waitress and your security guard on the way out. If this is how you handle customer concerns--by distorting facts and ignoring staff misconduct--people should know exactly what kind of experience to expect. read more

So basically I had arrived to the bar with two other friends. Upon arriving our bartender that was attending to us was very dismissive towards one of our guy friends. We had come on Wednesday and I had ordered the soup of the day and not a drink as I was driving; the soup of the day was unfortunately very salty. I'm not sure if the soup was supposed to be an imitation of chili but as I said it was watery and incredibly salty. When it was my friends turn to order, one had called for a Candy Apple Martini (absolutely delicious). As for my other friend, he had originally found this popular location for social media. He's a bit of a beer fanatic and was excited to try out this brewery location. Which was why the dismissive behavior of our bartender was incredibly disappointing and a big let down. Our bartender was a pretty buff guy and was wearing headwear that day. My friend had initially asked as to what was recommended for beers only for his question to be ignored and tossed the menu. Our bartender couldn't care for the tourists (aka us and most likely others too) and more of his locals. I did my best to be polite and gestured and gently called him over a few times for the bill, until after a few times I just had to be firm and call out loudly so that we could just pay and go. SMH. One of our group of 6, got TWO different glasses that were broken! One water glass and then her margarita came broken also! Eeek! I got the Californian no bun 7/10. First came with no side (chips). The chips were half crunchy and half soft. The cheese I had to scrap off, and the. Chicken was extremely thin. It's so nice that Indio has a solid Taphouse with a great lively younger atmosphere, fun drinks, and tasty food now. Downtown Indio has been hurting for some businesses that will stand the test of time but I'm certain this restaurant and bar is going to make it because the energy is great and they bring a refreshing spirit to this side of town. The mural outside is definitely eye catching and a smart move because I don't know if I would have seen this spot without the mural. It gives an inclusive, welcoming vibe. The restaurant is long with bar stools and an L shaped bar. Thankfully they do have some high tops and booths which is nice if you want a more casual dining experience away from the loudness of the bar patrons. The menu has a variety of appetizers, sandwiches, salads and such. The menu has a better selection of cocktails and beers in my opinion. The prices are definitely reasonable and it's classic bar food with some Mexican and Italian influences from tortas to sausage and peppers. While they aren't a brewery with their own crafted beers they had a good beer selection. However, I'll be coming back for the cocktails. I had the best tamarind margaritas and would highly recommend that or their Paloma. Always it was fun to order some Jell-O shots haha. Made me feel young again. We got a lime shot and an orange shot, classic. Good times to be had here for sure. Cocktails are a 5/5 here. We ordered a couple appetizers and they were good. Some better than others but overall definitely 4/5 stars. The deviled eggs were fabulous. Loved the little chopped pickle/relish and bacon crumbs. We ordered the blistered zucchini not sure what to expect. I'd call them a healthier bar appetizer as it turned out to be grilled/roasted zucchini slices (no matter) with a moderate spicy chili oil on top. While I probably wouldn't order them again (I like my bar food greasy and unhealthy haha) it wasn't a bad bite. Tasted fresh and was unique I'll say that. Service here was 5 stars and really impressive. We came for Memorial Day weekend and they were slammed. We didn't even wander in until 2pm and every table was full expect for the last two seater we could snag. The waitress said they aren't usually that busy but at the same time they are only a few months old and if the bar is already getting that busy then better to get there early on a weekend. Our waitress was April and she was wonderful! Super attentive and sweet throughout our meal. I was impressed that despite how busy they were she gave us top notch service with a smile on her face from start to finish. I'd definitely try to snag a table with April again. From what we could see the other staff seemed friendly and on top of it. Good vibes! Love the small touches to detail too. While the bathroom is communal which can be surprising at first, the stalls are all separate with doors/walls from top to bottom so you can't see under or over. No urinals etc. All separate stalls. The ballroom decor was definitely cool with different celebrities sitting on the toilet (see my picture of Ozzy Osbourne). 1 Star Absolutely awful service. We came in to support a local spot, but clearly, Indio Taphouse isn't interested in earning repeat business. The bartender couldn't be bothered to engage and quickly passed us off to a server who disappeared after bringing our first beers. My glass sat empty for over 25 minutes with zero follow-up or acknowledgment. It's not like the place was packed--there were maybe 13 customers in the entire bar, and at least four employees working, including someone who looked like the manager just sitting at a table on his laptop joking around with staff. No one seemed remotely interested in doing their jobs. This place has all the staffing and none of the service. It's lazy, unprofessional, and frankly embarrassing. We left feeling ignored and annoyed. If you're thinking about coming here, don't. There are way better places that actually value their customers. read more
