So basically I had arrived to the bar with two other friends. Upon arriving our bartender that was attending to us was very dismissive towards one of our guy friends. We had come on Wednesday and I had ordered the soup of the day and not a drink as I was driving; the soup of the day was unfortunately very salty. I'm not sure if the soup was supposed to be an imitation of chili but as I said it was watery and incredibly salty. When it was my friends turn to order, one had called for a Candy Apple Martini (absolutely delicious). As for my other friend, he had originally found this popular location for social media. He's a bit of a beer fanatic and was excited to try out this brewery location. Which was why the dismissive behavior of our bartender was incredibly disappointing and a big let down. Our bartender was a pretty buff guy and was wearing headwear that day. My friend had initially asked as to what was recommended for beers only for his question to be ignored and tossed the menu. Our bartender couldn't care for the tourists (aka us and most likely others too) and more of his locals. I did my best to be polite and gestured and gently called him over a few times for the bill, until after a few times I just had to be firm and call out loudly so that we could just pay and go. SMH. Otherwise aesthetically, the design and decor of the place was very nice. It had a bit of a gothic thriller retro vibe to it which is something that I greatly appreciated as well. read more

1 Star Absolutely awful service. We came in to support a local spot, but clearly, Indio Taphouse isn't interested in earning repeat business. The bartender couldn't be bothered to engage and quickly passed us off to a server who disappeared after bringing our first beers. My glass sat empty for over 25 minutes with zero follow-up or acknowledgment. It's not like the place was packed--there were maybe 13 customers in the entire bar, and at least four employees working, including someone who looked like the manager just sitting at a table on his laptop joking around with staff. No one seemed remotely interested in doing their jobs. This place has all the staffing and none of the service. It's lazy, unprofessional, and frankly embarrassing. We left feeling ignored and annoyed. If you're thinking about coming here, don't. There are way better places that actually value their customers. read more

Let's be very clear--your response to our review is not only inaccurate, it's completely misleading. You claimed our dog showed aggressive behavior and that there were complaints. That did not happen. Not a single guest with children complained about our dog. The only issue came from your own employee. What's worse is your complete failure to manage the situation. An off-duty employee took it upon themselves to harass us, and not one person currently working--no manager, no staff member, not even your security--stepped in to address it. Instead, your chef chose to involve himself and continued the harassment, which is both unprofessional and unacceptable. At this point, it's obvious your establishment has an issue with dogs and, more importantly, a lack of accountability when your staff behaves inappropriately. You chose to deflect and misrepresent what happened rather than take responsibility. As we were leaving, multiple parents commented on how poorly this was handled and how inappropriate your chef's behavior was. And just to address your claim one more time--our so-called "aggressive" dog calmly interacted with others, even licking our waitress and your security guard on the way out. If this is how you handle customer concerns--by distorting facts and ignoring staff misconduct--people should know exactly what kind of experience to expect. read more

Unfortunately, our experience was ruined by an extremely rude bartender with blonde hair and glasses. We waited a long time just to receive menus, and when IDs were checked, mine and my guest's were thrown back onto the table rather than handed to us. When my brother was still looking at the menu, the bartender yelled, "Do you know what you want yet?" which felt completely unnecessary and disrespectful. Customer service matters, and this interaction made us feel unwelcome. Three of us came for the first time and were the first ones in the place at 11:30, when they open. Our waitress was very friendly, helpful and knowledgeable and about the menu and beers. We all ordered the burger and fries and everyone was happy with the meal. The burgers came out hot, cooked medium and very tasty. Our only knock on the burger was they were smaller in size compared to other burger places, but were $14 not $19 which most other restaurants charge. Ordered the zucchini- baked in a lot of oil and some chilis on top. Was expecting fried zucchini, was caught off when these came. I met my little brother for a beer, on the first day of our vacation. I arrived a little after 3:30. I was surprised to see how many people were in there. I was given an option to sit at the bar, so I sat at the bar. (All of the tables were full.) Very nice lady, with big eyes, got me a few menus and a glass of water. She asked if I wanted a beer. I was excited to see 805 on tap, so I requested one. They were out. So, I asked her to surprise me with a beer on tap. I was brought a Slap and Tickle. I have never had a fruitier beer, in my life. It smelled like guava. It has weird sweet and sour notes. I should have just ordered a Negra Modelo. My brother got a Guinness, sadly in a can. My brother asked what appetizers she recommended. She picked up the menu and read it to him. I asked which was her favorite. "Well, you could pick the ones you like." Okay. I ordered the house chips and he got zucchini. The zucchini was medallions of zucchini that were grilled, likely on a flat top, as I didn't see any grill marks. What surprised me was the varying thicknesses of the zucchini medallions. There was a relish on top of them and a orange colored oil underneath. He said they tasted ok. My chips were super thin and very overcooked. They were very nearly chocolate brown. I picked through and picked out the least burnt ones. But, the sauce that they were served with was incredibly flavorful! They advertise the appetizers as small plates, perfect for sharing. Everyone might get a bite or two, but I thought they were overpriced for the portion size. Service was quick. Everyone was friendly. My favorite thing were the bathrooms! There are 8 or 9, I counted but forgot how many, bathrooms, each with a mural and number on them. In each there is an individual toilet. The walls go all the way up and the doors lock, so the bathroom is truly coed (and safe). Bar is really long. A few patio tables and pillow patio chairs. Inside, there are some hightop tables. Really like the indoor/outdoor setup and the knowledgeable staff when it comes to finding the right beer. What's really odd is the restroom setup: behind a door are a series of doors for anyone to use. My dad felt uncomfortable going behind a door to this room and I also along with another female patron found this odd and potentially dangerous. Why have a door to a room of doors vs. not have the door at all? Also, had to walk past many of them to find a toilet seat down to use. The woman I was speaking with really disliked the bathroom setup also and talked about her friend found people having sex in one of the stalls on a separate visit. Sigh. read more

My review has been removed twice, but it is important for those considering this establishment know this before going in; if you go the staff is super, they are very accommodating. But even if you follow their instructions, be warned that you could be confronted by a very angry owner, he will be very rude and try to embarrass you and make it known that he is THE owner. I recommend you do not take your pet, even though it is pet friendly. There is another active review that backs this up, another customer experienced the exact same thing as we did. I know the owner does not want my review to remain, he does not want his actions to be known. My experience was real and embarrassing to us, especially when what he did was uncalled for, we are two 60plus Veterans there to enjoy a beer and a meal, we minded our own business, talked quietly, followed instructions of staff, paid and tipped genously.
