First time here today. Place was loud but playing reggae so that's okay by me. Server seemed a bit distracted at first & didn't seem to know the word for Chimichuri as she asked my husband if he wanted the "green stuff" on his steak. My Desert Mule was okay. My favorite is still the Palm Springs Mule at Sammy G's. The best I've ever had. My husband's Bloody Mezz drink was good. The nachos were tasty & loaded up. I asked for half chicken & half steak which they did. The chicken was better in my opinion. My husband enjoyed his steak but didn't like the fries as they had too much Parmesan on them. I tasted them & had to agree. The flavor was overpowering. Overall, a good experience. We'll return for happy hour next time & hopefully enjoy the patio in cooler weather.

We finally made it to Indio Tap House although we've passed it up many of times! We started off with some drinks which I had the Bloody Mezz & my wife the Desert Mule both were good but my wife said she preferred mine better. I ordered the Steak & Parmigiana Frites with chimichurri on the stake which was good & didn't need any stake sauce! My wife ordered the Tap House Nachos with half stake & chicken which she enjoyed so did I! Haha the ambience was good enjoyed all the old school reggae being played! The service was good & out waitress was attentive. I'd come back again for another Bloody Mezz!

Awesome place in the heart of downtown Indio. They had a food festival going on there in front of the restaurant. Such a beautiful place to visit and enjoy everything they have. Our servers were amazing and on point with everything.

Came to Indio Taphouse for the Mexico World Cup Game against England. The atmosphere was so warm and friendly! The customer service was absolutely top notch. Amanda was helping us when we arrived and she was super attentive and sweet. The food, I had heard was a little pricey, but every bite was worth what we paid for & more. I'm sad I didn't take a picture of their regular nachos, but they were gone pretty quickly!! So yummy!! Their drinks were delicious and they kept them coming! Will visit again for sure. Thank you for the vibes!! :)

Sampler platter with Wagu sliders and Wings

Mariah G.

It was my first time to this restaurant, because really my husband and I thought they only had beer there until we saw some reviews and realized they had more to offer! We got a sampler platter with wagu sliders, and wings. Everything was delicious. The potato skin was crispy and crunchy, but also soft and smooth on the inside. The wagu sliders come with bacon jam that is phenomenal, it's a little sweet, but it's cut by some of the acid from what looks like a freshly made pickle on the burger. The wings were perfectly crispy and flavored, and the chili fries were amazing as well. We also got a few drinks which were delicious as well. The service was great, we were greeted right away and told it was open seating and to sit anywhere. Our server was extremely attentive and kind! With this bar being in downtown Indio it was a little worrisome honestly, but when you walk in you forget you're in downtown, and feel like you're in a small town bar. Everyone that was there seemed to be having a great time as well. I will definitely be back as the experience was a 10/10

This Taphouse had a great vibe going on with awesome service I was able to sample a beer before I purchased it which goes a long way cause I'm definitely going to order more beers that I prefer. We had some appetizers that were very good. I would definitely recommend and come back again. Don't forget to check out the dope pics of all the criminals in the bathroom also the bathroom is for everyone to use multiple stalls.

Sat at the bar at Indio Taproom and had a solid overall experience. The food was decent, about what you would expect from a bar, and the bar selection was good, though I am more of a wine person. One unusual aspect was the communal all gender bathroom. I did not mind it, but I heard a couple walking out complaining about it, so it may not be for everyone. The food took too long to come out, and forty dollars felt steep for a sampler. On the bright side, it was a much more enjoyable experience than watching the Bears try to keep up with the 49ers. (Lots of 49er fans in the desert, I guess!) Still a decent spot to grab a drink and a bite.

We came in Sunday afternoon before heading back home after a family event. We originally were gonna stop in just but decided to order the steak nachos and I'm so glad we did. I lucked out and they had sour beer on top so I ordered one of those as well. It was pretty packed for Sunday. A lot of people seem to be enjoying themselves some high top tables as well as the full bar with TVs. And the nachos came out. They looked amazing and tasted even better. Steak was good quality jalapeños were hot and the sauce was awesome. I'm bummed this place is so far from my house. I'd probably come quite often for these parking was pretty easy we found some on the street but I'm sure on busier days. It might be a little more difficult. The location isn't huge, but it's not exactly small either. I found the last few seats at the end of the bar and really had a good time. Service was nice and quick. We had no issues. I'd come again when we're in town.

Indio Taphouse is a great place to go with kids and dogs! Great food & Room to roam - it's the perfect family spot. We stopped here based on other reviews. We were traveling with our pup and our kids so we were very thankful for the green lawn area to stretch our legs. When we got there, it was seat yourself so we found a picnic table outside. We were greeted by a waitress quickly! Food came out fast and drinks were served quickly! We will definitely stop by again the next time we are in Indio!

Anita G.

What a fun venue! The food is delicious and the drinks are great. It's a unique spot to meet with friends or go solo. The service is excellent. I only wish they served brunch later on Sundays so I can get my steak and eggs after a solid workout. Go! You'll love it! I promise! My food pics aren't showing up. The steak is fantastic!

Katherine Z.

Absolutely delicious food, amazing beers and the best service ever in the desert. I was there for my bday wk and discovered them 10 days ago, sadly at the end of our trip but we loved it so much and had so much fun we went back 2 nights in a row! I highly recommend Ruben, John and Nate, best beertenders ever, so fun patient and educational! Cannot wait to go back!! Only bad thing is you cannot buy the tshirts that the staff are wearing sadly, so fun!!! Hint hint management Also, Amanda at the Speakeasy was ao kind and educated us as well! Cant wait to go back there too!! We wish we lived closer

Brenda M.

Very overcrowded inside with hardly any room to walk. We ordered our drinks and headed outside where it was a lot more enjoyable and less crowded. Plenty of seating out doors. The service was awesome we got complimentary Jell-O shots. Had a great night while also playing cornhole.

Lori S.

Stop having my reviews removed. I'm giving an honest assessment of your establishment when I ate there and you keep having them removed. The service is terrible, no greeting from the bartender or even an acknowledgment while I stand and wait to order a drink. As I said before the appetizer (with shrimp) made me sick. The health department found that your shrimp was not being refrigerated properly! Hopefully you take this and evaluate your situation to find a solution rather than attacking customers.

Usually a nice place. But management seems to be ok with one dude sitting on patio snuffing something making his behavior uncomfortable for others. Saw a few customers walk up and then away. Not sure why this is tolerated. Whatever the guy is doing, it's obvious he's sick. Not cool. Come on Indio get your shit straight. read more

What a place! This was our 1st experience at the Indio Tap house and we were blown away. 5 of us strolled in at 4:45 on Friday and the rest is history. The atmosphere was electric and the service and food were delish- we ordered 7 different items all were good, but the wings and Italian sandwich were excellent! ! This place is perfect for an impromptu happy hour, a drink after a round of golf or whatever. The vibe is young and fun, artsy and hip, very cool spot. Andy was our server- she was excellent, attentive, knowledgeable and made us feel welcome. We will definitely be back! read more

We LOVE the Indio Taphouse. First thing I notice is that it's incredibly clean, front doors are wide open for an indoor / outdoor environment. Staff is by far the most welcoming and engaging. Seven years living in the Desert and the best service by far from any establishment we have visited. That's saying everything to all you restaurant owners out there. Hire amazing staff and your business will flourish! Our favorite item on the menu is so unlike us, but it's the Carne Asada Fries! You must try these. The steak is tender and delicious, and actually very gourmet. Foodies Here! Please do not miss out on this amazing place in the newly revitalized downtown area of Indio. Truly a 10 Star if I could, because you checked all our boxes and more! read more

Was seated and never greeted. Instead staff was mingling with everyone at bar. I get that they have to engage but we were seated at a table waiting for menus as we wanted to eat and gave some drinks. Not a way to run an establishment. Staff should be attentive and aware of when guests arrive. We never got greeted so we got up and left. Very disappointing and an easy way to run a business down. read more

My wife and I went for the grand opening last week, and overall it was great. The place is very large with indoor and outdoor service and a large backyard which is great for kids to play, or to host live music. The service was great. A couple of small knocks: I had the Italian Torta (pictured) and it was very good, but incredibly salty. Also, they were out of the first beer I ordered as well as the first beer my wife ordered. None of that will stop me from going again. This place is bound to be a big success. read more

We are local and have wanted to try the Taphouse since it opened. We can now say that we have and don't have to go back! I guess we are not cool enough to hang here, we basically were ignored. After one drink and asking for menus we were never spoken to again. There were 2 or three employees hanging out at the tables since it was down time- 3:30pm on a Tuesday afternoon. There were only 2 other customers, the employees outnumbered the guests. The menu was not very enticing yet we were going to try the nachos yet no one approached us. Ambiance is nice, music is good. We are early 50's and not nearly cool enough for this place/ they didn't even want our money. read more

Indio Taphouse has become my go-to spot--it's like a weekly date with flavor destiny! The portions might be on the smaller side, but WOW, they pack a punch. Each bite is a little celebration for your taste buds, making you slow down and truly savor the moment (because let's face it, good things come in small, delicious packages). The service? Speedy and friendlier than your grandma handing out cookies. And the vibe? Chill and casual, like that cool cousin who always knows where the party's at. If you haven't stopped by yet, what are you even doing with your life?! Thanks @Skip for bring this place to downtown! read more

Wife and I were out looking for a place to have dinner We came upon a restaurant where the music was so loud we could clear make out the lyrics from the parking lot( sound like an old man don't I?) We drove away and decided to stop at the Tap House in Indio We have been wanting to try the place out bust just have not had time We arrived and immediately were greeted by a server who helped us find a seat Not a minute later a second server brought us water and asked if we wanted to order The place has Terrific ambiance Music not too loud, wide and I were able to hold a conversation and still enjoy the music. I ordered the Chile Verde Torta which was very good! Only problem is that it is so small I thought I ordered a happy meal! Wife shared her steak which was very good! Old Fashion was good and the wife had a glass of wine. All in all great place just have to remember to Super Size my next meal!! read more

Had a great night last night at the new Indio Taphouse! The drinks, the food, the service...all fantastic! We shared a number of items and one was better that the last! Start with the Agua Chile Tostada...so delicious, light and fresh. We also shared deviled eggs (with bacon!), zucchini bites, periquitos, beatnik salad, and a couple of the Tortas. Everything is yummy, inspired, and special. What a fantastic addition to the newly refreshed downtown Indio area! And watch for live music coming this summer! Highly recommended! read more

A nice bar don't get me wrong but ... they really need to get a TouchTunes or something because I asked to play a little bit of country (instead of some generic pop that's on a loop) for Stagecoach weekend and they basically said no they didn't want favor any other music to lose customers... this is a more of a lets grab a drink and chill type of bar so i dont understand why they wouldn't have a set playlist for everyone's taste. read more

We had a party of 3 that met for appetizers and drinks. We ordered the vegetarian bao buns, the stuffed yellow peppers and the cauliflower steak. The cauliflower steak was delicious, the peppers were good, but nothing special. I probably wouldn't order the bao buns again as the buns were very dry, not light and fluffy like bao buns should be. One person in our group ordered a bottled beer that came out warm. She attempted to get it swapped for a colder one but was told they were all put in the fridge at the same time. We were there in the evening so not sure how the beers were not being replaced throughout the day. Granted the World Series was on so maybe the business was busier than they were prepared for. Based on the food alone I'd probably give 3 stars, but the staff were hardworking and engaging.. read more

We also ordered a drink that was supposed to include egg white, but it was served without it. After having issues with four dishes and a drink during the same visit, we felt that something was clearly off with the kitchen and bar that evening. We asked the owner, who was sitting next to us at the bar, whether the chef had changed because it seemed like the restaurant was simply having an off night. What happened next was even more disappointing. At first, the owner pretended that he wasn't the owner and said that he knew nothing about the restaurant. After overhearing our continued discussion about the quality of the food and drinks, he confronted us and said, "We don't need patrons like you at our restaurant. There are plenty of other restaurants for you to eat at. Why don't you just leave?" We were not being disrespectful or unreasonable--we were simply disappointed with the food and drinks and trying to understand what had happened. Being spoken to that way by the owner was insulting, completely uncalled for, and genuinely hurtful. I do want to make one thing very clear: the staff and bartenders who work at Cork & Fork were wonderful. They felt terrible about what happened and made it clear that they believed the owner's behavior toward us was completely inappropriate. After we left, several staff members actually followed us outside to apologize on behalf of the owner for the way he had spoken to us. Their kindness and concern were greatly appreciated, and this review is not a reflection of them. There are many excellent restaurants in La Quinta, and based on this experience, we will be taking our business elsewhere. We would strongly suggest considering the many other fine establishments in La Quinta before choosing Cork & Fork.

You don't want to live near the first row during a fan frenzy. It's a high risk // high reward world to existent in, but when the dust settles and you're seeking sanctuary the Coachella Craft Beer Barn is a literal oasis in a desert. The festival is mostly a cash-based society, but CCBB is one of the few areas that accept credit cards. Under the comfort of a tent you can barter for drafts from established breweries like Stone, Victory and The Bruery. Also present are sudsy start-ups like Coronado, Faction and La Quinta and their beer flows like blood in a Motorhead mosh-pit. There are some truly rare and exceptional selections, but enjoying a tequila-barrel aged ale or imperial pilsner comes at a cost. The more you drink, the more you miss. First, it's an exhausting 5-15 minute walk in 90+ degree weather from any of the stages. Not a big deal once or twice but over 36 hours it adds up. Second, bands perform in quick succession so you'll have to choose whether you really want a craft beer or see live music. Third, because it's open to all-ages, the promoters quarantine drinkers whom cannot leave with intoxicants. The rules are enforced to protect minors, but I'd like to enjoy a crafty beer while listening to bands...crazy I know. Find another way...like secluding the kids, they're the minority. It's pretty much a wasteland outside the Barn's city limits; low quality carnival foods, soft drinks and merchandise. Inside you'll find luxuries you took for granted in your pre-Coachella world like seating, freshly prepared meals and restrooms rather than port-a-potties. If there's a gap in your schedule rest your weary bones here, trust me you don't want to be anywhere else.

I don't normally leave negative reviews, but my experience at Indio Taphouse was incredibly disappointing and deserves to be shared. After joining my dad for a couple of beers, I was cashed out immediately each time without explanation. While unusual, I didn't make a big deal of it. I personally prefer tipping in cash at the end of my visit after experiencing the full service. Barely after taking a sip of my second beer, the bartender approached me and, in a condescending tone, told me something along the lines of "if you want service, you have to tip" -- singling me out publicly and accusing me of not tipping fast enough. I was stunned by his rude and completely unprofessional behavior but kept my composure and responded simply with "Noted." My dad, who had tipped on his previous orders, tried to clarify the situation with the bartender, only for him to double down with more condescension, stating he "depends on tipped income" and cutting off the conversation with a sarcastic "enjoy your drinks and have a good night." After that, we were effectively refused service. Despite the poor treatment, my dad attempted to order another round, intending to leave a tip and even offered to cover the drinks for a nearby table that was also struggling to get service. Instead, the bartender continued to be rude, refused to let us pay for the other table, and reiterated that we would not be served. From start to finish, the attitude and professionalism of the bartender were completely unacceptable. Building positive relationships with customers is essential in the service industry, especially in a highly competitive area with many other options. Unfortunately, Indio Taphouse failed miserably in this regard. I won't be coming back. The name on my receipt is Nathaniel. read more

If you're looking for a lively spot to catch football games, enjoy great food, and sip on drinks, Indio Tap House is worth a visit. I arrived at 11:30 AM, expecting the regular opening time, but discovered they had opened at 8:00 AM for a special "Cars with Coffee" brunch event. (This happens every first Sunday, so plan accordingly if you're into car shows and brunch.) Seating is self-serve, and while the service started a bit slow, it improved as the day progressed. The atmosphere was perfect for spending the day watching games, enjoying good company, and indulging in drinks and food. Food Highlights: Carne Asada Nachos were Delicious Loaded Potato Skins: Tasty but more like twice-baked potatoes than traditional potato skins. Fried Chicken Sandwich: The standout dish of the day--crispy, flavorful, and a must-try. The beers and cocktails were excellent! For three people, including drinks, food, and shots over the course of five and a half hours, the total bill was $286--great value considering the quality and quantity. I'll definitely be back to try more menu items. Indio Tap House is a solid spot for food, drinks, and good times. read more

This place has to be the worst bar in indio for there lack of cold beer on tap, its a hit or miss if you ever get a nice cold beer here. You would thing in a city where it gets 115 degrees in the summer there beverages would be top tier. Also seems like management discriminates a-lot on certain guest and groups that go in, i would not choose this place ever again or recommend to anyone due to that reason and seeing it first hand.I would definitely recommend contacting the labor board to any employee working here that don't want to make a verbal complaint to HR with consequences because seems like whoever runs this place lacks the proper tools to run a successful work environment. read more

At first glance, it doesn't look like much from the outside, but it's really cool inside. There's all kinds of firefighter memorabilia on the walls, and it wasn't until the second time we were here that we realized that the glass "walls" are actually garage doors--as in the place opens up like a firehouse, but for nice weather instead of local emergencies. The patio is also very nice, although it has always been too hot or sunny when we came to eat out there. As you might expect from a restaurant run by firefighters, there's a lot of meat. I mean a lot. I mean every single thing includes meat, including the vodka penne and all of the salads other than the Caprese--and who likes Caprese salad? The good news is that the servers are very good at recommending either ways to demeatify a given dish or what to order that might not be on the menu. No, there's no secret menu, but it can feel more like visiting your friend's house than going to a restaurant. The second time we came, I had some questions, and the server ran to the kitchen to ask the chef before she had even finished taking our orders! The service truly stands out here. We've had a different server every time we've eaten here, but one of our old servers remembered us and said hello even though we weren't in her section and we hadn't been here in months. Somehow, she remembered us as the people going to Tempe (we were headed to Phoenix proper this time). Everyone seems to enjoy working here, and there's a very good balance of relaxed and efficient. When they're busy, the food can take a while to come out, but it's a slightly longer than usual wait--not a terribly long wait. Pay attention to the hand-drawn signs outside. They're punny, sunny, and often quite funny in a dad (who drinks too much) joke kind of way. When you're coming from the 10, it can be difficult to find the entrance to the parking lot. The restaurant is in the corner of the parking lot, but the two entrances aren't close to it. Enter either by the Carl's Jr. on Gerald Ford Drive or the Cold Stone Creamery on Cook Street.

The Caesar salad portion was huge, easily enough for two people and probably even enough to share among four. The BBQ chicken pizza was absolutely delicious and a standout dish for us. I want to give a special shout-out to Carlos and the food runner working tonight. He was very friendly and made a point to check on us as he passed by to make sure everything was good. In my opinion, that kind of attentiveness is what separates average service from seasoned food and beverage professionals. He said that they were doing their own investigation of what was going on under the table where we had been sitting. Instead of taking our word for it, that we had been bitten by bugs over the span of 15 minutes, the bartender challenged us.
