You are better off taking your car elsewhere. Was under the impression they were fixing the entirety of the car. For the check engine light to come back on within exactly 50 miles of leaving the shop. Told it's not their problem. Was accused of clearing my own codes. The "manager" was disrespectful, and argumentative. They do not honor their work. These people are scammers. read more

It's a story. First made appointment for state inspection as recommended by a local business. Told Person meeting me at the desk they came highly recommended and that person said I'll charge you double! Thought it was a joke. Took car in for state inspection-it failed & according to these guys needed a left rear lateral arm costing approx $420.00 plus two days to get parts. My husband, knowing a little about cars, asked questions to determine what was going on...........desk person said I didn't inspect it. I'm too busy to answer questions. So, they DID want to charge me double!! We took it to the Ford dealership, they tightened a bolt and it passed inspection! Cost of inspection only! Have taken two different vehicles there and they are busy, so I drop mine off and get it a few days later . They will try and save their customers money at every issue. I was referred to Polo's Automotive from a family friend that insisted I stop in - they had excellent repair work on their car (which ended up saving them $1000 in repairs) and had received excellent services. My car was in need of an oil change and inspection and I was in a time crunch. I had called the previous evening asking if they had any appointments available and they said that if I came in early, they would squeeze me in first thing. I arrived at 9AM. I saw the guys in the garage already working on two cars so I had my hesistation about getting in on time for my car to be worked on. The guy at the front came in and after I told him what I needed done, he said it should not take more than 30 minutes to complete and that he would get my car in now. I sat down in the waiting room and read a magazine until my car was ready. 45 minutes later my car was done and I was out the door. All though he had quoted me incorrectly my wait time, I was more than happy to wait the extra 15 mintues to have my car fixed with no problems. Overall great service. read more

Took my car here for a simple inspection and an ac recharge. I had an appointment, it's not like I just walked in. But they said it would be best if I could drop the car off, so I dropped it off at about 10am. 430 pm I'd heard nothing and they close at 530, so I called to check in and was told my car was next up. 545 I showed up, knowing they were closing, they refused to give me a time estimate and told me that they recharged my ac but it didn't work so they were starting to take my ac apart to diagnose without calling to check or giving me any kind of quote on that service, and hadn't even started inspecting it. Then brought my keys back and told me to bring it back in the morning and they would look at it, after having my car for over 8 hours. They were charging me over 200 dollars in labor to NOT fix my AC or inspect my car. Not wanting to cause a scene, I handed my card and said just run my card so I can leave and then asked me to come back in the morning, to which I said, "I'm not ever coming back, your charging me over 200 to fix nothing and keep my car for 8 hours." This man at the desk THREW MY CARD BACK AT ME and said good, don't come back! He did not end up charging me for the work they did not do. But this was hands down the worst customer service and automotive repair service I have ever received. I honestly don't understand how they still have customers read more

i Waited 2 days for an appointment at 8am and was told the vehicle would be looked at first thing when I dropped the vehicle off that morning. I made an appointment on a Tuesday for a Thursday morning to have and inspection,shocks,and front end alignment. I dropped it off at 750 am and called at 1 pm to check on it.I was told I would get a call back.I called back at 2 and was told the same thing.Then after calling numerous times from my number at 3 with no answer I called from another number that was answered right away. Still the same lies.So I drove up there and my truck sat in the same spot as I left it at 750 in the am. I highly recommend not going to this place and they did not care that it was a company truck and I took off all day to leave it there for nothing. read more

Polo's is the greatest. We were headed home to SC from Washington DC. Our SUV broke down at the Pizza Hut up the street. We had it towed to Polo's. They took it in immediately and began Diagnosing the problem. Within 10 minutes they had found the problem (bad fuel pump). This was at 1:30pm and they had it replaced and we were back on the road at 5pm. These guys were very friendly and put every effort into getting us back on the road. Had a great first experience.I had a 10am appointment at Virginia automotive center for an inspection sticker, which was right up the street. I had to leave Virginia automotive because it was 11am and they really seemed unprofessional and unorganized. I came to polos, made an appointment for 4pm that evening. I got there at 340 pm and was walking out at 430pm. It's about treating people right. My experience at Virginia automotive was awful. This place made my day better. The day before Thanksgiving my muffler fell apart. I needed to drive to Maryland and was convinced that I wouldn't be able to make it home for the holiday. I stopped by Polo's and they squeezed me in. They were able to get my muffler back in one piece and even mounted my new tires for me. They were very accommodating and didn't over charge me for the short notice work. I highly recommend going to them. read more
