IF YOU HAVE AFTERMARKET RIMS DO NOT COME HERE!!! This shop absolutely destroyed my rims. I noticed it right when I got to the vacuum spot at Flagstop that something wasn't right. (See video attached) I immediately called the shop owner, and he began to come up with ways that it could've happened other than his mechanic causing the problem. Once I brought it back up to the shop and let him look at it, it was clear that it was caused by an impact gun from where they took the lug nuts off my rims. He told me he wouldn't be paying for the damages. I told him I wanted them fixed, I don't care how he does it. He proceeded to call a rim specialist to cover up the marks on every hole on the rims. it has been about two months since and I can already see the scratches all over my rims again. I paid $2000 for these rims and now I won't even be able to resell them for $500 if I wanted too..... it's just pure laziness and carelessness by the mechanic and shop owner. This company does not care about your vehicle and just wants to get you in and out the door as fast as possible. The mechanics are all young kids that probably could care less about what happens to your car as well as their position with the company. If you have a nice car, just take it somewhere else. I took it here because it was a little cheaper than other places but now I see why. I will be taking the more expensive route from now on. Shame on you Allen tire. read more

Wow, insane service! I had a nail in the tread and only discovered it just before they closed on Friday. Not only did they get it done, a person from the shop came to my house to bring me my keys because I had dropped them in the parking lot on the way out. Impressive, Allen tire. Impressive. read more

Brought in my fiat 500x for a simple tire replacement since I already had a tire (brand new continental)and my back passenger side tire (a nexen) had a nail in it close to the wall on the outer side. They tried to give the car back to me with the tire with the nail in it put on upside down (with the nail now in the inner side of the tread instead) and argued with me when I showed them! Actually yelling in my face over and over that the continental was the one with the nail that had come off the car... he then quickly changes his story and tells me that the continental has a hole in it too, ended up charging me $75 for a permanent plug when he realized he couldn't scam me, if you're young and especially if you're a girl don't go here they'll try to take advantage read more

This place is the worst ever if you want your car banged up stuff stolen out of it and your prices inflated for repairs this place will have you paying for a new automobile. Don't go here.. go to Christian brothers auto !!!! It's on Richmond highway!! read more

I would have to say that my experience was 10/10. The people really showed that they cared and did excellent work. They went over each step to fix the problems with my wife's car. They didn't just say oh it's this and only fix one thing and wait until you show back up to fix the rest. Good people here. Definitely will be bringing my cars back here in the future. read more

First time to visit this shop. (Thank you to my mom who found this place) As soon as I arrived there, I was so impressed! All staff were very polite, friendly and professional. We were on our way to vacation on 95 when we blew a tire, luckily close to our hotel. We called Allen Tire first thing in the morning hoping they could get us a special order tire. Not only were they able to special order a tire that morning, but they got it in quicker than expected. Rob took a look at the rest of our tires since we still had a long drive ahead of us. He noticed we were close to losing a second tire, did not force a second tire on us at all, and let us come out into the shop to look at it. We decided to get the second tire and Rob called it in immediately. After they took the tire off they realized it was worse than it looked. Had he not taken the time to look into that tire we would have been in bad shape. Wonderful hospitality, great work, and good people. Can't recommend this shop enough. read more

Noticed that past reviews are three years or older. Difficult determining how to submit review as it's not on menu. Have used AllenTire for over six years since moving to Chester. Have been coming here on and off for years. After spending $875 on an oil change and four new tire installation I noticed that on pick up the check engine light was on and an error on dash in regard to the all wheel drive system. It was not in prior to drop off. I asked if they could check it out and they said they would gladly oblige for a $95 fee. I explained that if they would waive the fee I would have it fixed in the shop but refused to budge. I feel a little swindled by the experience and disappointed. read more

We are new to the area so it's always a gamble when looking for services in a new area of town but I was pleasantly surprised. The staff was knowledgeable and gave transparent car advice to help me stay within budget. They also sent a thank you card which was very thoughtful. Bunch of thieves. I had a flat tire and wanted them to replace it. They were very confident that because they found a nail in it, they could repair it. I figured, why not, it cheaper...needless to say, my tire was flat again the next morning. What kind of professional auto shop doesn't inspect their work to make sure they actually fixed the problem. They've stolen my money by not fixing the problem they said they were going to fix and shouldn't be trusted to inspect or repair your car. Go somewhere else with your money because you will be ripped off here. read more

ALLEN TIRE - Great service, reasonable prices, quick delivery. Right across the street from Sibley BBQ. - Tires Near Me - Chester, Virginia

In November we out of towners had a flat. took it here. they went way above and beyond. fixed the tire, put back on our car, put the spare back under my Volkswagen mini van, (like who invented that pain in the....?) for a really reasonable price. I was so grateful. we were camping so all our gear was in the back of the van. No theft. so glad we ended up here. Thank you so much. read more

Take your $$ elsewhere!! Went in for a state inspection and my vehicle failed due to the headlights. Once we wiped the mud off and drove it to Firestone it passed without hesitation. They get you in fast & can fix almost anything. Great customer service! Car is always done when promised.

I have been using this location for years, they have always provided me with reliable, quick, reasonably priced service and great customer service. I couldn't ask for more. They recently squeezed me in when I had a flat tire and where able to patch it the same day for a good price m, versus pushing me to buy a new one. I'm always able to schedule a drop off with my busy work schedule for an inspection to be done the next day, and they always call me once it's done. read more

I have been taking my family's four cars to Allen Tire in Chester for over six years. We've used them for tires, repairs, inspections, routine maintenance, etc. All of their workmanship has been good and their honesty and ethics are top notch. I live within walking distance of this business and that is the only reason I started using them. I'm not a friend, relative, paid reviewer or any of that other BS. I recommend Allen Tire in Chester to everyone. (I have no idea how good the other Allen Tire locations are.) read more

Why isn't negative starts not available?? I have to give a one, but there is NO WAY I'd ever go back. My repair was only going to be $600, then it was almost $900. An hour later I get a call saying that another part had to be replaced or the whole thing is a waste, but not to worry because I wasn't going to be charged much more. Oh and they couldn't get the part until Monday. After spending a grand to not 'fix' my car, I don't have money to rent a car for a few days so I can go to work and school. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE do NOT go there!! I'm so mad I created an account just for this review so no one else has to go through what I did. read more

My girlfriend took her car here because when she turned on the heat, she just got cool air, no warm/heated air. Their initial estimate was $1300 for a leaking water pipe, new timing belt and fittings. I was paying the bill so I told her only authorize fixing the heat, nothing else (the timing belt has nothing to do with heat and it was unnecessary based on the mileage). They quoted her $600 to fix the leak/heat issue and confirmed it would be ready later the same day. Two hours later they called back and said the price was $850 that $600 only covered the labor and not the parts. And they said there was a "rusted pipe" that needed replacing too and that part was not available so they would need to keep the car for another day. Outrageous! Their diagnostic costs and estimates are suspect and they definitely try to up-sell unnecessary parts and repairs. read more

I needed a State inspection for a car I bought out of state. I had to immediately leave town due to a family illness. 4 different shops turned me away. Not only did they squeeze me in, the also advised me of things that were worn that I should have someone look at soon. They didn't even try to get me to do the work there, but my goal is to take it back to them. They were incredible. read more

Was recommended by a family member as I am new in town. They kept my car for 2.5 days because of a "part" hadn't been delivered for brake work. This caused me to miss work and several appointments. The "part" miraculously arrived after I asked to just pick up my car because I felt like they weren't being honest. I will NOT take my car back there again. Stay away from this place! read more

WHAT A JOKE! Such a RIPOFF!!! My car recently broke down near this shop and I decided to drop it off here since it was so close, and what a poor decision that was. They said that I had a blown head gasket and it would cost at least $2,000 to repair. I clearly said no thanks, and had a friend look at it, and it just ended up being a crack in the coolant tank and cost me only $125 to repair. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone. DO NOT TAKE YOUR CAR HERE, unless you want to get RIPPED OFF!!! read more

I went in for a state inspection everyone that was getting finished up before me was told about the "laundry" list of things wrong with their vehicle. My vehicle was just serviced and tuned up about 2 months before, so I was a lil anxious to find out what they were going to try to sell me. As it turns out they had about $800 worth of repairs my vehicle needed before they would inspect it. When I asked what needed to be repaired to pass inspection they said all of it. The last time I checked the air filter (which I had just replaced) and a transmission flush ( which isn't due for another 5,000 miles ) wasn't needed to pass inspection! The list goes on and on. The only thing that was actually needed to pass inspection was a broken fog light lens & 2 burnt out light bulbs & replacement windshield wipers (which I did not let them replace) I told them to put a rejection sticker on it & I would take my business someone else.. I will never go back there again for any reason. BEWARE. If someone you know anyone that has service done there make sure they aren't being scammed like the many people I saw that day. read more

Fiancé had a flat tire on the way home from work today. I called the guys at Allen Tire at 5 --they close at 6 -- and they told me to bring it in right away and within 35 minutes they had a new tire on the car and had repaired another. Service couldn't have been better from both a communication and getting the job done perspective. A++ plus all the way. Thank you again! read more

Terrible. I went in for a state inspection sticker, and was told I needed to fix a dashboard light, new brakes, and something about a wheel hub. After many hours and multiple appointments, I was told that he would need to be paid $292 UPFRONT to even order the part, and then told me that to diagnose the light, I would have to take it to the dealership. He said he repacked the hub or bearing, but I later took it to another mechanic, who stated that he absolutely did NOT repack the hub, and at best, may have sprayed grease on the cap. For this, I was charged $108. ALLEN TIRE also charged me $60.00 for a diagnose fee ( for the light ), but actually that should have been part of the $16 inspection fee. He didn't even put in writing what the diagnose was so that I could bring it somewhere else to save on that mechanics diagnose fee. ALL in ALL, stay away from ALLEN. read more
