IF YOU HAVE AFTERMARKET RIMS DO NOT COME HERE!!! This shop absolutely destroyed my rims. I noticed it right when I got to the vacuum spot at Flagstop that something wasn't right. (See video attached) I immediately called the shop owner, and he began to come up with ways that it could've happened other than his mechanic causing the problem. Once I brought it back up to the shop and let him look at it, it was clear that it was caused by an impact gun from where they took the lug nuts off my rims. He told me he wouldn't be paying for the damages. I told him I wanted them fixed, I don't care how he does it. He proceeded to call a rim specialist to cover up the marks on every hole on the rims. it has been about two months since and I can already see the scratches all over my rims again. I paid $2000 for these rims and now I won't even be able to resell them for $500 if I wanted too..... it's just pure laziness and carelessness by the mechanic and shop owner. This company does not care about your vehicle and just wants to get you in and out the door as fast as possible. The mechanics are all young kids that probably could care less about what happens to your car as well as their position with the company. If you have a nice car, just take it somewhere else. I took it here because it was a little cheaper than other places but now I see why. I will be taking the more expensive route from now on. Shame on you Allen tire. read more

Brought in my fiat 500x for a simple tire replacement since I already had a tire (brand new continental)and my back passenger side tire (a nexen) had a nail in it close to the wall on the outer side. They tried to give the car back to me with the tire with the nail in it put on upside down (with the nail now in the inner side of the tread instead) and argued with me when I showed them! Actually yelling in my face over and over that the continental was the one with the nail that had come off the car... he then quickly changes his story and tells me that the continental has a hole in it too, ended up charging me $75 for a permanent plug when he realized he couldn't scam me, if you're young and especially if you're a girl don't go here they'll try to take advantage read more

I would have to say that my experience was 10/10. The people really showed that they cared and did excellent work. They went over each step to fix the problems with my wife's car. They didn't just say oh it's this and only fix one thing and wait until you show back up to fix the rest. Good people here. Definitely will be bringing my cars back here in the future. read more

We were on our way to vacation on 95 when we blew a tire, luckily close to our hotel. We called Allen Tire first thing in the morning hoping they could get us a special order tire. Not only were they able to special order a tire that morning, but they got it in quicker than expected. Rob took a look at the rest of our tires since we still had a long drive ahead of us. He noticed we were close to losing a second tire, did not force a second tire on us at all, and let us come out into the shop to look at it. We decided to get the second tire and Rob called it in immediately. After they took the tire off they realized it was worse than it looked. Had he not taken the time to look into that tire we would have been in bad shape. Wonderful hospitality, great work, and good people. Can't recommend this shop enough. read more

Have been coming here on and off for years. After spending $875 on an oil change and four new tire installation I noticed that on pick up the check engine light was on and an error on dash in regard to the all wheel drive system. It was not in prior to drop off. I asked if they could check it out and they said they would gladly oblige for a $95 fee. I explained that if they would waive the fee I would have it fixed in the shop but refused to budge. I feel a little swindled by the experience and disappointed. read more

Bunch of thieves. I had a flat tire and wanted them to replace it. They were very confident that because they found a nail in it, they could repair it. I figured, why not, it cheaper...needless to say, my tire was flat again the next morning. What kind of professional auto shop doesn't inspect their work to make sure they actually fixed the problem. They've stolen my money by not fixing the problem they said they were going to fix and shouldn't be trusted to inspect or repair your car. In November we out of towners had a flat. took it here. they went way above and beyond. fixed the tire, put back on our car, put the spare back under my Volkswagen mini van, (like who invented that pain in the....?) for a really reasonable price. They recently squeezed me in when I had a flat tire and where able to patch it the same day for a good price m, versus pushing me to buy a new one. I'm always able to schedule a drop off with my busy work schedule for an inspection to be done the next day, and they always call me once it's done. read more

Why isn't negative starts not available?? I have to give a one, but there is NO WAY I'd ever go back. My repair was only going to be $600, then it was almost $900. An hour later I get a call saying that another part had to be replaced or the whole thing is a waste, but not to worry because I wasn't going to be charged much more. Oh and they couldn't get the part until Monday. After spending a grand to not 'fix' my car, I don't have money to rent a car for a few days so I can go to work and school. My girlfriend took her car here because when she turned on the heat, she just got cool air, no warm/heated air. Their initial estimate was $1300 for a leaking water pipe, new timing belt and fittings. I was paying the bill so I told her only authorize fixing the heat, nothing else (the timing belt has nothing to do with heat and it was unnecessary based on the mileage). They quoted her $600 to fix the leak/heat issue and confirmed it would be ready later the same day. Two hours later they called back and said the price was $850 that $600 only covered the labor and not the parts. And they said there was a "rusted pipe" that needed replacing too and that part was not available so they would need to keep the car for another day. Outrageous! Their diagnostic costs and estimates are suspect and they definitely try to up-sell unnecessary parts and repairs. read more

Was recommended by a family member as I am new in town. They kept my car for 2.5 days because of a "part" hadn't been delivered for brake work. This caused me to miss work and several appointments. WHAT A JOKE! Such a RIPOFF!!! My car recently broke down near this shop and I decided to drop it off here since it was so close, and what a poor decision that was. They said that I had a blown head gasket and it would cost at least $2,000 to repair. I clearly said no thanks, and had a friend look at it, and it just ended up being a crack in the coolant tank and cost me only $125 to repair. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone. I called the guys at Allen Tire at 5 --they close at 6 -- and they told me to bring it in right away and within 35 minutes they had a new tire on the car and had repaired another. I went in for a state inspection everyone that was getting finished up before me was told about the "laundry" list of things wrong with their vehicle. My vehicle was just serviced and tuned up about 2 months before, so I was a lil anxious to find out what they were going to try to sell me. As it turns out they had about $800 worth of repairs my vehicle needed before they would inspect it. When I asked what needed to be repaired to pass inspection they said all of it. The last time I checked the air filter (which I had just replaced) and a transmission flush ( which isn't due for another 5,000 miles ) wasn't needed to pass inspection! The list goes on and on. The only thing that was actually needed to pass inspection was a broken fog light lens & 2 burnt out light bulbs & replacement windshield wipers (which I did not let them replace) I told them to put a rejection sticker on it & I would take my business someone else.. I will never go back there again for any reason. BEWARE. If someone you know anyone that has service done there make sure they aren't being scammed like the many people I saw that day. read more

Terrible. I went in for a state inspection sticker, and was told I needed to fix a dashboard light, new brakes, and something about a wheel hub. After many hours and multiple appointments, I was told that he would need to be paid $292 UPFRONT to even order the part, and then told me that to diagnose the light, I would have to take it to the dealership. He said he repacked the hub or bearing, but I later took it to another mechanic, who stated that he absolutely did NOT repack the hub, and at best, may have sprayed grease on the cap. For this, I was charged $108. ALLEN TIRE also charged me $60.00 for a diagnose fee ( for the light ), but actually that should have been part of the $16 inspection fee. He didn't even put in writing what the diagnose was so that I could bring it somewhere else to save on that mechanics diagnose fee. ALL in ALL, stay away from ALLEN. read more
