It tasted almost like a donut, if you've had the Korean rice donuts filled with red bean or sweet cream cheese, these tasted like the latter, but with some sort of melting cheese like mozzarella also mixed in. They're heavy on the veggies like cabbage, which I actually enjoy about it. It holds the sauce in a way the rice cakes just don't. Their sauce is also lightly sweet and not too rich or spicy. You may expect boneless chicken to be dry or flavorless, but bb.q chicken somehow manages to avoid all that while still achieving a satisfying crunch all while covered in sauce. Even their sauced chicken is somehow still crispy, which I think is owed mostly to their breading and frying methods, as well as the conservative amount of sauce they put on it (which we appreciate). I would definitely return to this location for Korean fried chicken. The Irvine one wall has also been reliable in my experience.
