TikTok brought me here lol . I follow a young lady on TikTok and she's always posting some great content . She had recently posted a this establishment in one of her videos raving about the whole grilled chicken , and broke down the steps for how she eats/enjoys it . It was so on point!! Nicely seasoned, juicy in all the right places and don't even get me started on the rice .. I'm not big on rice especially because of having braces , however this rice was soooo delicious, so I did my best with eating it and ignoring the discomfort that comes behind it . Personally , I wasn't a fan of the beans but my puppies were fans so for that the beans aren't really apart of this post. Service was mediocre, I felt slightly rushed and unwanted . As a first time customer, I asked questions and was looked at like k should have already known the answers. Overall the food is great I'll definitely be returning . It's small spot so my claustrophobia may restrict me from dinning in but I do plan to return!! read more

I love the food here because they remind me of the food of my native country of Mexico. Everytime i need a pick me up or craving 'homemade fast food' this is my go to. I love everything about them, the beans, rice, chicken, tostadas and of courses the salsa. When you dine in you get the eat from the salsa bar with the warm and toasty tortilla chips and all the toppings from the salsa bar. I love the green tomatillo salsa the most but sometimes they can be stingy. The portions are big and let me tell yall whenever I get the burger I am never able to finish the whole thing. I like that they cut the burger in half already so i know i can have leftovers for the next day. The french fries are good, not too crispy but soft enough to enjoy. The flautas are good along with the refried beans and rice. One of my favorites is the whole chicken itself and the rancho beans that come with it. OMG i just can't get enough of that mesquite fire blacken chicken. I don't like going through the drive-thru because it can take a while to get your order. I rather dine in and much on chips and salsa while my food is being made. The building itself could use some updates but for the most part, it is clean and usually never busy when I go in. The soda machine is at the front counter so refills are easy to get, the bathrooms are handicap accessible and the parking lot is well lit with plenty of space to park. read more

This is one of our favorite Pollo Regio's, as not all locations are equal. The flavors & portions here are consistent. We love the chicken, charro beans, rice, & salsa verde. The flavor of the chicken is well balanced mixed with the smoky flavor. You can taste the seasoning down to the bones! The salsa verde is hot spicy with smooth creamy texture (some other locations make this salsa very mild & salty or bland), sooo good & unique for pollo regio. The charro beans & rice are also one of the best we e had! My kids love the cheese sauce. It's not a fancy venue, but the food sure makes up for it ... & I prefer it that way! They do mess up a little on our to-go orders at times, like packing the wrong sauce or less number if small salsa containers than what we ordered, but nothing major. Sometimes the food wasn't ready at the pick-up time, but we have learned to adjust our timing accordingly . The 2 chicken meal can easily feed 7 people with normal adult appetite. read more

Fantastic service and quality. Brought friends in from out of town and needed a quick and easy option for a great lunch that was not your typical fast food amd especially not Tex Mex. This location is trash. I placed an online order and when I went to pick it up they tell me they are out of meat???? Huh how are you out of meat at 6pm. And didn't bother to notify me before arriving. I ask for a refund and the guy is like oh I don't know. I ask is there a manager that may know he says there is no manager there at all and he walks away. I pull up to the window and I ask again for a refund or a manager and he says oh yea a manager just got here and she'll take care of the refund. Do better. Thuy and I were actually heading to another restaurant when I spied this new (at least to me) Regio location. When we get to our intended destination, it was closed, so we decided to head back to Regio. I was thinking a number 4, taco de carne asada, would be pretty tasty. So we walk in and first thing I notice is I don't get the same happy vibe as I did from the Pioneer location (http://www.yelp.com/biz/el-pollo-regio-arlington). The young girl behind the counter did not seem to care about customer satisfaction at all. I already know what I want, but Thuy takes a moment to look over the menu. This seems to annoy the girl, even though there was no one behind us and only a couple of tables seated (at Regio's you order at the counter and you pick up your order when it's ready). Thuy decides on a number 10 (beef tacos). We place our order and get asked a couple of questions I did not understand, and for that matter never did, even though a) they were repeated and b) the girl spoke perfect English. No big deal. I order a horchata, Thuy requests a water. Well they are out of "little cups" so the only way Thuy is going to get a water is if she buys a cup. No thanks. Food arrives (it was actually delivered to us, by the young girl, so I'm sending some credit back her way). The first couple bites of my meal tasted OK, though the beef was a bit tough. But then it started to get saltier and saltier. Not to the point I could not eat it, it just stopped hitting the notes I wanted. Also the horchata tasted very diluted. It did not have the richnes I was expecting. Thuy's tacos were good, though they forgot the lime and I did not feel like asking for it. As we left we realized this location was not billowing the wonderful scent of the roasted chicken... So either it was not roasting time (seems they are always roasting over on Pioneer), or the chicken gets delivered to this location. Came here 10/10/20 because it had a 3.5 rating. Who lied!!!! I swear these places are getting worst. I waited for 10 minutes for my food through the drive thru. To just get old chicken as shown on the picture. A lot of it is old. And the tostada was hard and stale. Why you do serve this garbage??? If you don't speak Spanish, you get treated differently. The food is just OK at this location, the chicken is a lot of times dry, and edge pieces are crunchy. The baked potato - to - toppings ratio is never quite what it should be. But the worst part about this place is the customer service. Especially if you're a white customer. 10 out of 10 do not recommend this location if you're Caucasian. read more

I tried my first Pollo Regio this past Saturday on my way to a gig at Hwy 30 on Samuell... AMAZING GOOD TACOS!!! I was so impressed I decided to look for locations near my home in Grand Prairie. I was quite disappointed to see the Yelp reviews for every location in my area has a low amount of stars. This location seemed to have the better of mixed reviews in a 5 mile radius so I decided to give it a chance. Big mistake. Let's just say that if I would've tried this location first I would've never have tried another. Burnt chips... re warmed, over priced greasy, hard chunks of carne Asada Greasy beans... so much for quality control across locations I guess. The staff was kind, and manager was apologetic when she asked how my food was and I replied so/so and showed her my 1/2 Written yelp review. But no compensation of my cold greasy $10.00 Carne Asada plate with tortillas that were poorly warmed and had seemed to be sitting in foil for hours. Tacos Banqueta is my typical local go to for amazing fresh mex-food, with a staff that barely speaks English but are attentive, and cleaner and my food ALWAYS comes out hot and freshly made. This is what I get for not trusting the other 1 & 2 star reviews I read on here. Improperly trained / supervised millennials are going to cost you your business if someone doesn't take notice to the Arlington locations. Look at Pollo Tropical and Pollo Loco, you are headed down the same path... Then go try Tacos Banqueta and see why I'm comparing... Sorry but won't be coming back here or any of the other local locations until I see some more consistent yelp reviews. Post workout dinner lead me here. I want something full of protein that was quite lean and this was the place. I actually prefer this location over the other location because their beans aren't as salty and the chicken was much juicier. I can't comment on the beef because I've never had it at either location. I always go for the 1/2 chicken meal because I'll have food for the following day and for a little over $8, it's not too bad. :) The rice is ok. I love Regios but this location is horrible. They close at 10pm but always run out of chicken before 7pm. YOU SELL CHICKEN how are you always out. Especially around peak hours. This is a busy location, which means you should have too much chicken, in my opinion. (Somebody's not handling inventory well) Also food never seemed fresh the times I was able to get chicken. Went here today for the first time. I had heard good things about it and was in the area so we stopped by. Dine in was closed so we went through the drive thru. We both ordered the flautas. The menu showed flautas with rice and beans (#4). We sat in the drive their for about 10 - 12 minutes at the pickup window. I don't think I've ever sat at a drive thru so long. When we finally got our order we left to find someplace to eat. Upon opening the bag there were 2 containers that had flautas only. No rice. No beans. $8.99 for flour tortillas with a bit of chicken inside?? Never again. The flautas weren't even good. They were just ok. Needless to say, we won't be going back. read more

I strongly recommend not coming to this location. Their absolute inability to get food out in a timely fashion with an accurate order deserves zero customers. When I came in to the Restaraunt due to the fact that my drive-through order was screwed up, the manager was eating in the restaurant section. The server tried to explain well I'm sorry it doesn't print out. This one the receipt actually says exactly what I ordered. The staff clearly lacks discipline and follow through. The fact that I have to audit their work before I leave the drive-through is reprehensible. If this was the first occasion of this I would not be as negative. Additionally it does not take 12 minutes to make a quesadilla fries and three green salsa. I am willing to pay a premium when food is of good quality and service is adequate. As this clearly is no longer the case at this location my recommendation is to save the money and go to taco Bueno Or other like fast food location. The only semi-redeeming factor was that they immediately returned my money when I gave them back the meal. They really need to remodel this place . I was driving up like Idk about this place . But it was nice and clean in the inside. I only gave it 4 stars because the lady taking my order got an attitude when i asked could see the cup sizes to determine if I wanted a large or a small . She didn't say anything but it was all over her face, this was my first time at this establishment. I cannot describe how long I waited to even get to the drive through speaker here. I don't know what's up but just takes so long to get up there. Watching the drive through shift from 15 cars to 5 because so many people give up. It's sad. They need to hire more people. Edit: I'm finally up at the window, fifteen minutes later after writing this. Been here probably 45 minutes. I've been given no "sorry for the wait" or anything if the sort. We went back with a great surprise...after our last visit and ordering a whole chicken and only getting 5 flour tortillas and complaining on Yelp we went on Friday for lunch bot got the 1/2 chicken and it came with 5 flour tortillas that's what it should come with just hope when we order the whole chicken it comes with 10 flour tortillas ...to be continue at a later date...management don't let me down have whole chicken dishes ners come with 10 tortillas it says a whole chicken Feeds up to 4 people then 10 tortillas should be in each order...thanks again read more
