This place is as authentic as it comes. Hole in the wall for sure. Is located in a small shopping outlet. This place has tortas, tacos, puposas, sopes, nachos, Menudo, pozole, cakes and other stuff. I had the the chicaron and cheese puposas that came with some kind of pickled coleslaw. They all came out hot and perfect. My friend had the tacos we pastor and the beef was well season and moist. There's so many things on the menue that I have yet to try out but you can bet I will come back to try them all. This is our favorite Authentic Mexican Restaurant in Arlington. We come from far away because they have the best fajita tacos and the Trompo pork meat is a must try. Today I tried the chicharrón ( pork rind with green sauce) and I was very impressed. The green hot salsa is really spicy, creamy and tasty. The nachos with fajita is more than enough to share. The extensive Torta selection is awesome. My picky 15 year old loves the tacos here. Try it once and you will be hooked. Tasty homemade food at reasonable prices. Was rolling through the Walgreens parking lot on Valentine's Day, redbox movies and munchies in tow- and I saw a flame burning in the distance. I really high flame- too high to be a grill. My first thought was it looked like a frigging trumpo de pastor. So I creep over in my car- it's a shady part of town, and sure enough- I see the "Taco Rico" sign and some raza sitting around a glistening stack of meat toasting perfectly from a vertical flame. Now mind you, I was totally planning on grabbing some warm rolls and chicken, but a taco on the side sounded like the perfect valentine dinner. I was so disappointed, cause I took my order to go and could complain in person. What they gave me on my tacos tasted like it was hours old and reheated. If I rated just on salsas it would be 5 stars. The salsa Verde and the salsa for chips were both excellent there was also a red salsa while it's good just not my favorite style salsa. So my friend and I walked in today, and we were trying to order street tacos! I originally ordered only 4 of them and 2 of them were beef tongues and beef tripes. So the price is only more expensive for couple of cents! I walked up to the waiter and ordered it, and note that I'm Vietnamese, so I can't speak Spanish! He took my order and charged me $10.34 for 4 tacos and each of them was only about $1.45! Me and my friend were looking at each other liked: "what the heck? Why is it so expensive?"! So me and my friend got the menu and did the math, the total added up was only $6.34 (w/o 8% tax)! HE CHARGED ME $4 EXTRA MORE!!!! I was so irritated and I got up to talk to him, and he said that the machine was "malfunctioning"! And he told me that we couldn't cancel the order but he will add 2 more tacos for us! I'm never gonna go back here anymore! Obviously, I don't mind paying $4, but don't giving a bullshit excuse and just charge me more because I cannot speak Spanish! I kind of hate "meh'ing" a place when I tried something I had never tried before, but...... I wasn't real impressed with the quality of the food and the "big menu over the ordering area" not having prices on it kind of put me off, too. This is an OLD place. Maybe a converted 7-11 from the 60's or 70's? I don't know.. It's old, though, and not in the best of shape. If you're a gringo, expect to repeat your order, as English does not seem to be their first language. (There's nothing wrong with that!
