We ordered 2 margarita swirls which were huge and strong so definitely need a DD when you leave lol I ordered 3 taco plate and my friend ordered the chicken burrito. Very delicious just prices are a lil bit high but other than that no complaints. We also ordered fries and they were amazing. Nice and crispy tasted just like mcdonalds but fresher lol. Loved the authenticity of this restaurant. They're doing grilled chicken to perfection. They also serve plenty of drinks including beer. Lots of people were flowing in and out of the restaurant. I can see why. Great food, awesome service and some pretty ladies helping out behind the counter make this place super special. Went with the 3 piece combo of grilled chicken with all rice. We ordered food from here recently and it was so good. It's scary ordering delivery from someplace for the first time and you're not sure what it'll be like, and I often assume the worst so I'm not disappointed-- but was so happily surprised to really enjoy my food. Jon got the carne asada fries and he only had good things to say and basically ate them all. The salsas were really tasty and fresh. The spicy avocado cream is especially good (and hot!!), and I really loved the chicken/veggie soup. I'm a little under the weather lately so soup sounded perfect, and I was not let down. I also got charro beans to save for later, but they were so good I ate half of them already! I'm really looking forward to visiting or ordering again and trying out much more of their menu. read more

I've dined in and gone through drive thru at this locations. Staff has always been nice and helpful. The food is good, better than some other places I've gone and I will go back every once in a while. If you order through drive thru it does take longer than other places but that's because it's cooked while your waiting and is hot! The Grand Prairie location is small and does get busy but they have both indoor and outdoor seating and I've never not had a place to sit when dining at the Grand Prairie location. The issues I have with this business is that you cannot call in orders or order online. It gives you the option on the website to call the locations but that looks for an app I don't have on my laptop. If I call the phone number, I usually get a message that the mailbox is not set up. Out of all the times I've called I think I've only gotten a person 3x. I come from the next city to eat here and like to call in so I can pick it up through drive through. We've been eating here for years now but have never left a review till now. This place has its lows and highs. The lows are how long you have to wait for your food at the drive thru, but once you get it home it's the bomb! They have this one green salsa that is spot on, tasty and spicy at the same time. It's addicting because it's good and it burns at the same time, lol!! And you keep on dipping in and can't let go. My first time visiting this place because a friend suggested it. Looked at the reviews/pictures it all looked good. Ended up giving it a try drive out of my way to try. When I get there ordered enchiladas. I'm someone who doesn't eat that much spicy stuff I only took two tiny bites and decided I couldn't eat it comfortably. So I asked if they could replace the item for something else same price. The staff and manager both said they are not about to do that. Since it isn't their problem that I did not like their food. It wasn't that I didn'tq like their food the food was way to spicy for me to eat. The manager on duty and staff both also told me well they are enchiladas it's in the name they are spicy. How stupid do they sound saying that. I've gone to other places who have had enchiladas made the same way but not as or even spicy. I've made green enchiladas as well in the past not as spicy. At the end they were not able to even refund me my money cause it wasn't their fault. I've worked in foo industry before and managed. That isn't right. They expect me to eat that. I asked for a corporate number the manager on duty was able to give me the "owners" number when I had called the number finally someone picked up after 3 days. And said they were the manager of that location. That if I want to reach the owner I would have to go through their page and send a message. The owner Daniel finally reached out. He was pretty much rude as well. Saying the same thing about the enchiladas. That they are a Mexican restaurant of course the food will be spicy they have nothing there mild. Unable to refund me but replace my item. You think after the experience I had with his staff I'd want to go back even more with the stuff he was saying. At the end he said he will refund me my money. Which was only the enchiladas. I spent 30. I didn't not touch anything else that I ordered. I get people try and get free stuff but all I asked was to replace my food at first. I am a regular here during the work week! They have amazing tacos and great lunch specials, such as fajita Fridays! Almost everything you order for lunch is $10 or less. I always order two pastor tacos with a side of rice. The pastor is always incredible and very flavorful, and they never skill on the meat. You get grilled onions and fresh limes alongside your taco order and 3-4 sauce cups. After getting your order, you head to the salsa bar where they have 5-6 different salsas ranging in spice level and some munchies like diced jalapeños, pickles red onions, and additional onions and cilantro. They also have a self-serve tortilla chip box with small to-go trays next to it for you to take. They offer call ahead and dine in with plenty of seating. They even have heat lamps on the patio! Ahhh, Pollo Salsa. I actually enjoy SOME of the food quite a lot (see below), but it's soooo hard to order. At first, I just assumed it was a language barrier thing, but now I honestly think their ordering microphone/speaker dealie might be messed up. Cuz my Spanish really isn't the worst, I swear, AND they also couldn't understand my dear Spanish-speaking prometido when he was ordering last time either. But anyway, eventually they give up and tell you to come to the window, but both times so far that this has happened, they've been really friendly anyway. As for the food, get beef instead of chicken! We didn't like the food the first time we tried it because we got only chicken... it's *Pollo* salsa so you'd think that would be the best, but it's unfortunately been dry and bland. Finally ventured out to Grand Prairie to see what all the hype was about with this restaurant. This was an hour drive for me to dine in this establishment, so I crossed my fingers that it would be worth it. Upon my arrival the parking lot was full however I found a spot. First thing I noticed was the drive-thru was closed off, which meant all orders has to be placed inside may it be dine-in or carry out. The restaurant is small in size I would estimate possibly 15 to 18 tables. With the salsa bar staff provides you with your Beverages and refills if you need them after you order. We tried a little bit of everything on the menu (2) of the three-piece chicken. One with two sides (Beans & rice) one meat only, carne asada fries, and the steak stuffed burrito. ( containing beans, rice, guacamole, queso and any choice of meat) our grand total $34!!! Compared to Pollo Regio here are my findings... The chicken is good has a nice flavor on the skin however it has not been marinated so it penetrates through to the Bone. Carne asada fries are a Texas version versus a California version. Shortening fries cheddar cheese meat and guacamole. The stuffed burrito was amazing my only problem is it was more rice than anything else. I will say that the wait was about 10 to 15 minutes after we ordered our food, but for as many people there placing orders it was understandable. I will say the salsa bar didn't really have a good variety of salsa. Lastly the cashier who was taking the orders was outstanding!?? He explained the menu PERFECTLY by pointing out everything so you could see it. He was helpful, speedy and friendly within his presentation. read more

They have a drive-thru, combos consisting of food and a drink, and you order at the counter...but it's not greasy and predictable enough to really be called a fast food place. I would say the food here is the equivalent of a street stand in Mexico. They have a giant grill going and it is covered with chicken. They have other things, but if you're stopping you really want to get the chicken, which is best served in taco form with tortillas, beans and some rice. There's a salsa bar with an assortment of homemade options, all of which are pretty good. Basically, if you're in Grand Prairie and looking for something fast and cheap that's a little more off the beaten path than Taco Bell or Taco Cabana or Taco Bueno--all of which are on the same highway--then this place is worth trying as an alternative. Or, if you're just looking for chicken to take home for dinner, this is a great option. You can add your own sides or throw it in a soup or just fill up on nothing but grilled chicken. read more
