YUM!!! Soooo good! Definitely comfort Mexican food! Great service too. We used to come all the time years ago, got a craving for them since we've moved out of Arlington and it did not disappoint on our visit! Salsa is so good, Queso is yum and all our meals were great! Husband had the tilapia dish and said it was just as he remembered. I get the botanas appetizer platter as my meal and the kids get enchiladas. We all enjoyed our yummy meal and our server was on it, she was kind and continually kept our drinks filled and checked on us. Prices are good too! This is a authentic Mexican Restaurant that is open late. Maria was our wonderful waitress/ bartender on 11/30/21 at closing really the last table... Her service was a blessing. After a fun night of Roller Skating, we both enjoyed her very tasty Margaritas. The table side guacamole/ yellow queso were fresh. The fajitas steak Nachos were my husbands Must Order Again Entrée!!! Co worker regularly goes here so I came along, I thought it looked nice when I went in. Waitresses were nice and they brought out chips and salsa. The menu was just massive and they had a burger which I was actually in mood for, it came out really fast and was a good size. It actually tasted good and I was filled up by the pretty good fries. Do not expect fast service. You cannot be in a hurry. yes It is in a strip mall. However, the food is really top notch quality food. Their salsa is a little on the stronger end of spicy. Two people in our party of 8 didn't eat it due to spicy factor but for me it was just right. I have been here twice now and both times the food was great. The first time I shared appetizers and the pastorcitos and quesadillas were excellent. The green sauce that comes with the pastorcitos is potent but good. The second time I went with a house specialty.. The Chicken Sado. That stuff was really,really good. It may be hard for me to try something new because I liked that Chicken Sado so much. The Restaurant was nice and clean, but the food was mediocre. Salsa had a fishy taste, the chips were ok. I ordered the Chavas plate which was a crunchy beef taco and a cheese enchilada, rice and beans. It wasn't the best food Ive had, but it was wasn't the worst either. The Service was horrible! we had a lady take our order, then she sits right next to us in a booth and takes her lunch break. No one ever came to check on us until we were almost finished eating. We needed drink refills, and they never came by yet our server was sitting right next to us. The staff kept going to her table and refilling her drinks and would all sit in her booth and talk to her while she ate. We were the only caucasians in the restaurant, every time a new customer came in that was hispanic they were immediatly taken care of and we were ignored. We waited 15 minutes to get our check and no one ever came back, I finally had to go to the register and pay without a check. I only tipped $1, because the service was horrible. This place can be great... really great, or horrible depending on what your idea of good mexican food is. I have eaten here off and on for 4-5 years now and seen this place go through some changes. It is usually somewhat less than sparkling clean, the salsa is bland, the chips are stale and the service at times is so slow it ain't even funny. That being said the entrees (when you finally get it) are usually pretty good. At times the food is piping hot and tastes like it was cooked today. Other times it tastes like it has been a warm up from yesterday. The rice and beans here have been served cold or lukewarm (room temp) at best on every visit we have made here. The little fried tacos (Pastorcitos) are usually excellent, the soups are also very good in my experience. This isn't exactly a Tex Mex place, and you can get some food that won't make you sick at late hours. Other than the above, it's dreadfully average, and in my opinion dingy and a little grimy. The upside is, the prices are incredibly cheap and if you speak enough Spanglish to actually get your order understood, you stand a great chance of getting some mediocre food... eventually. If they would clean the place up, put 10% more effort into the service , this place could be great. read more

This is a nice solid lunch option if you find yourself in this part of the DFW. Their chips and salsa are always fresh but be carful with the salsa because it is a little spicy. I usually have their tacos, or fajita plate. The fish soup is also very good, and the price is right. The inside is nice and clean and decorated with some tacky frog pictures and statues.
