My friend has been wanting me to try this place every time I visit. Last time it was closed so we were so happy when we saw it open. We both ordered the quarter chicken meal which comes with tortillas, rice, beans, pico de Gallo, and red and green salsa. We also both got a Margarita because - why not! As far as main dishes they basically only have one choice, CHICKEN. The chicken is amazingly seasoned and cooked. You can just order their chicken by itself or you can order a meal. The meal is served with tortillas, rice(amazing), beans(amazing), pico de gallo, and red / green salsas. They have a 1/4 , 1/2, whole bird option. Let me just say there is value in having a limited menu. When you have a whole bunch of crap you always risk not having enough of it and running out or it being out of season and so on and so forth. This place just sells chicken, corn, rice and beans and they keep it real simple. There's no need to place an order in advance for pick up because literally it takes about 2 to 3 minutes from the time you order to get your meal. By the time I backed up against the wall to wait they were calling my name. Of course there are several factors that come into play such as the day of the week or the time of day. This was a Tuesday 2/8/22 evening and I figured it would've been slow but it was pretty busy seeing as though it was Latin food and i suppose that somewhat ties into taco Tuesday. The lady at the register did very well with explaining the menu. Sometimes I feel like a grouch when I do these reviews because I'm so particular with customer service but they hit the nail on the head. Is it too much to ask for a friendly cashier who is knowledgeable, good food. and quick service? At home I devoured my chicken and rice. The chicken was well seasoned, great flavor! I had Mexican corn as well. It wasn't great but it wasn't bad, I've had better. One con is they seem heavy with the salt. I like flavor but don't have my food dripping in salt. The menu is simple AF. It basically says "do you want this delicious ass chicken or no?" From there the next menu item is "Are you ready for these scrumptious beans and rice or no?". "Ok, now do you want a drink or a side or what?" And there you have it. The drive-thru nor alcoholic beverages were available as of this review but both seemed to be imminent. The chicken though. It's like they took each individual sprinkle of seasoning and uniquely placed it in the optimal taste location and then magically cooked it with mighty grills of heaven. That's my cheesy way of saying it was memorably delicious. I found the dark meat leg quarter to be more flavorful than the breast quarter but I'm willing to be convinced I'm wrong about it. The rice and beans are good all by themselves. You really don't need the chicken to join the party but you wouldn't drive all the way to Pollo just for rice and beans. The parking situation is good but the popularity of this place might make it seem insufficient. One thing to note - it's kind of hard to turn out of the parking lot. Oncoming traffic is no joke at this intersection. Finally, I'm glad to see movement in the SE Atlanta quad. A lot of food is happening in EAV, Summer Hill, Grant Park, Cabbagetown, Reynoldstown, Glenwood Park, and Ormewood neighborhoods. They have been hidden gems for a while but now that the variety is growing, I see rapid growth in SE ATL's future. read more

I've passed this place so many times and wondered about it. Then I saw the business featured on IG, but didn't put the two together until I drove up and basically slapped myself on the forehead. I went inside to enter the business. It's small inside with maybe 4 booths and there's seating outside on the patio. There are heaters to keep you warm. That works as long as it's not too cold or windy (Atlanta weather). The menu is very simple, different variations of sizes for meals of roasted chicken. 1/4, 1/2, whole bird or 2 whole birds. The meal comes with rice and refried beans and tortillas. They have other sides like esquites, similar to elote but the corn is off the cob. I also placed an order for churros to go and had a frozen margarita with a hibiscus float. It was so good. I enjoyed the food and ordered extra tortillas. I felt that I received a good portion for $11 for a 1/4 bird. I had enough for 2 meals. I'll definitely be back. read more

And $8 for a quarter-white meal with sides seemed very fair, especially in this inflationary environment. I'm no stranger to the various styles of Latin American rotisserie chicken, and with ample context to make a comparative judgment, I'll say that that my meal here unfortunately fell short. The biggest problem was that the chicken was very overcooked, to the point that the skin had hardened, and the flesh was rather dry. Also, the beans were heavier and saltier than I'm accustomed to. Come hungry! Probably one of the best values in Metro Atlanta. For $25, we shared the "Half Bird" and a side of guac between two people. We had leftovers for the next day. The chicken itself lives up to the hype. It's juicy, falls right off the bone, and, most importantly, has the right amount of spice to keep you licking your fingers. The meal comes with a side of rice, which was cooked perfectly and also seasoned well (these people know seasoning!), refried beans, and fresh-off-the-griddle tortillas. Well the last time I visited, my family ordered the whole chicken meal and we only received 2 servings worth of sauce. I normally come here alone and order the 1/4 chicken meal and receive one set of sauces so I was very confused on why a whole chicken meal only came with 2 sets of sauces. I kindly asked the order caller to provide me with one more salsa verde and he said something like the full meal only comes with 2 sets of sauces but since I was only asking for 1 sauce, he'd let me have it. The order came out super fast and came with tortillas, rice, beans, pico, and salsas. The chicken was seasoned super well and tasted great with the rest of the sides. There was plenty of food for the group and honestly we could have been fine with one whole chicken meal plus a half chicken. Not only was it tasty, everything was also super cheap at around $12 per person. So I loved Supremo Taco so I had to try the sister restaurant Pollo Supremo while the experience was still fresh in my mind.Ordering is pretty simple since it's basically just the chicken and sides. I got the 1/4 bird meal with dark meat and added a side of guacamole and got the frozen margarita with the hibiscus topper. I only had to wait about 5 mins for my order to be ready which was nice. So I really loved the meal here. The chicken was seasoned and juicy with a citrusy crust that reminded me a lot of crispy skin of jerk chicken which I love! I read the tortillas are made in house and I have to say, it's worth it. They were fresh with the right amount of chewiness. The portion size for this meal was pretty generous. Margarita was good and kinda crept up on me lol. I enjoyed my meal so much that I went and got a half bird and an extra side of beans to make a meal for the following day. The more options you get the more lost you sometimes become and this was a simple menu that hit the spot. Chicken had great flavor along with the rice and beans. Both had their own unique flavor that I was able to appreciate. The esquites/elotes tasted awesome. A small size will get you a long way. They give you big portions by the way.
