It is convenient. The fish is decently fresh. A small bowl, which has two scopes of fish and 3 toppings was sufficient to fill this big boy up. They also have poki tacos, which is basically a wonton shell that they put the poki in. That was a little gimmicky and I prefer the bowl better. Delicious! For dinner was crazing something "different" and stopped in. The quantity and quality of ingredients was very welcoming. I ordered mine with tuna and all kinds of toppings. Was in town for the Holidays and running errands when my stomach said it was time to eat. Having tried all the "other" poké places in Simi, I thought it was time to eat here. Very generous portions and a great selection of fresh toppings. The tell-tell sign is always the spring mix and the cucumbers. If either is looking a little sad, I go somewhere else. For Simi Valley, a 4-star rating from me is pretty darn good, and to be honest, I would have given them FIVE stars !! However, the reason I didn't award 5 stars is because the place was kind of bordering on slovenly. By that, I mean, the counters were not clean, everything looked like they were busy as all get out and didn't have the time to keep things clean and neat. I say all this, but I grant you, and I hope even more, that the food itself was fine. Actually, I would add, though, that given the summer heat, the fish could (SHOULD) have been kept a bit colder. It's raw fish !!! Anyway, once I got past what I saw, the food tasted fresh and delicious, and in my mind as I was making comparisons to other poke places that I love, I honestly couldn't find one flaw... other than what I said above. For me, I always get 1/2 spring salad mix with 1/2 brown rice. I usually have them give me 1/2 the amount they would normally because I just find the amounts of rice and lettuce excessive. That's not a slight against any of these poke places... just my personal preference. Anyway, I probably would have preferred a different type of lettuce at PokiTomik than what they offered, but again, just preference. This was more "weed" like in appearance and texture, but it was totally fresh. Since it was dinner, I got 4 scoops of fish.. 3 salmon and 1 spicy tuna. I also got a scoop of crabmeat, some edamame, avocado, cucumber, seaweed salad, crispy fried onion pieces, and a variety of sauces. From what I could see, and if memory serves, this place offers a few more items than the other poke places, and I think their prices are even cheaper here. They also offer options of getting the food prep in a "burrito" or "taco" style, but for me, a "bowl" is the ONLY way to get this. From a covid standpoint, it's a very small place. I was very happy to see that everyone was masked. The food preparers all wore gloves - BOTH hands - so that was good. There were only 2 tables outside (that I saw). There were maybe only 4 tables inside, but it's not a place to go and eat. It's a takeout place for sure, and if you want things a certain way, you stand there and tell them exactly what you want and to add more, remove, whatever you want. That's the ONLY way to do it in my opinion. We got in and out pretty quickly, and the line got really long AFTER us, but it moves. For sure, we'll go back. We love poke, I love that it's pretty close to our home, but I'm going to be watching the cleanliness factor because it definitely needs to be better. It shouldn't matter how busy they are. They need to stop and take the time to keep things neat, clean and orderly... esp. with foods that are exposed like that.... and keep the foods colder. read more

Coming from the 626 this poke place was up to par! for $15 I got a lot but also the fish , toppings, and sauce was well balanced out. HUGE PORTIONS!! Recently saw this place on Yelp and was excited to try it out. First, the portions are huge it was enough for both lunch and dinner for me and my boyfriend. I ordered the sweet salmon, salmon, and spicy tuna. All of the proteins were delicious. One major thing we appreciated is that the spicy/regular crab is considered a topping instead of a protein, which a lot of other poké places cheap out on. The cost of $12-14 for a bowl is reasonable for the quality! Overall, the food was fresh, filling and delicious! They have burritos, bowls, and tacos which I want to try each someday.
