Looks like a new KBBQ restaurant and ownership. No lunch KBBQ but open for dinner on weekdays and all day on weekends. My husband, baby and I went to check it out on a Saturday afternoon. Lots of parking available in the strip mall and they're located on a corner. They have a couple different AYCE options and we went with the simple one Soya A at $35.95. Soya B looks good but just a little higher price point. There were one family there dining so we were the second family in the restaurant. The vibe of the place was calm with Kpop music videos playing on the TVs and not super loud. We received excellent service for ordering and getting refills on banchan, salad and sesame oil (I love me some sesame oil with my meats :9). I always get the rice paper and theirs tasted really good. You gotta have the corn cheese too, which this place offers it. Their fried chicken wings were fried fresh and the japchae tasted on the sweeter side. Part of me felt like I could have eaten more meats but we were conservative and ordered the prime brisket, beef belly, thinly sliced pork belly, seasoned beef and spicy pork belly. It sounds like a lot now that I type it out but can't wait to try it again next time :D

Excellent! This is under new ownership. The servers are extremely helpful, attentive and informative. The meat quality is amazing. Beef belly, brisket and the top sirloin were some favorites. They have a variety of options, for both AYCE and a la carte. All bachan were super fresh and tasty. The tofu stew had amazing flavor. Some other kbbq spots tend to water it down but this was delicious. Another highlight was the japchae, it was freshly made and tasted incredible. Granted the price is up there everything was well worth the price. The other benefit honestly was service & quality. I'm excited to come back and try more.

Yeah AYCE kbbq in Simi Valley!! Omg the meat is high quality!!! I love their meats!!! Its so soft it melts in your mouth! Their service is great and quick. Interior is clean and chic. Its under new ownership so it's very clean all around! I would highly recommend to friends and family. Great for big parties and lunch&dinnet. Casual eat out!

Best KBBQ in simi valley!!! The restaurant is new renovated and is very clean. Food is so delicious and fresh! The quality of the meat beats anything in LA. The brisket was so flavorful, chewy, and soft. The thin slice pork belly was also very delicious. It was crispy and almost resembles bacon. I couldn't stop ordering it! The seasoned beef was so tender and the sesame oil marinade was amazing. The stir fried octopus was spicy yet sweet! The octopus was so soft and the vegetables were refreshing. The side dishes were all very yummy and the salad had a sweet sauce. Service was amazing as well! Owner of the restaurant is super sweet!!! Please support this small business and visit Soya!!

I was very impressed by the quality of the meats--everything was fresh, flavorful, and cooked to perfection. We ordered the prime brisket, pork belly (both regular and thinly sliced), and the beef belly--all of which were high quality and absolutely delicious. The sides were also great, with a nice variety of options. Some of my favorites were the radish wrap paper, the corn cheese, and the radish soup--so tasty and well-prepared! The service was excellent. Our server was great--anytime we wanted more sides, they brought them out quickly and with a smile. The owner was also incredibly kind and welcoming, which made the experience even more enjoyable. Another huge plus is that they have a parking lot, which is so convenient. One thing we weren't a fan of was the automatic service charge (tip), as we usually prefer to decide that ourselves based on the experience. That being said, we still had a great time overall. I'm so happy this place opened up--it's definitely a new go-to spot for KBBQ, and I'm already looking forward to coming back!

Typing this as we are in the restaurant. Tuesday night with 630pm reservation seated right away. HOWEVER, 4 parties in the restaurant, we are the 5th. This is the slowest restaurant that I've been to like REALLY SLOW. We asked for another salad since we sat in, it's not yet here. We've waiting for meat, this the second grill since the first one is already burnt. So, disappointed with their star rating

Great new KBBQ spot! Reasonably priced, SUPER friendly and sweet staff, and delicious meats. I wish they had more banchan- they had a few which were all delicious but not the fish cakes, rice cakes. Japchae was super flavorful and the chili fried chicken was shockingly good. Would happily come again!

I consider myself well versed in Korean BBQ. This small spot in a strip mall in Simi Valley is a genuine surprise. The meats are all high quality, the side dishes are obviously scratch made. The kimchi is fantastic with all the depth of flavor that can only be made with the hands of experience. We had several sides all of which were very good. Hailey did a great job of serving.

The bulgogi was bland and lacked the flavor you'd normally expect from Korean BBQ. Cheese corn, but it was overloaded with mayo to the point that it completely overpowered the dish. Instead of tasting cheesy and balanced, it felt overly saturated and unappetizing ( Jizz Corn appearance). The posted menu prices appeared cheaper than what we were actually charged, which was frustrating. We went around noon and requested bean sprouts, but they were already out. It's surprising for an all-you-can-eat restaurant to run out of a basic appetizer that early in the day. The nonstop music became overwhelming after a while, and the server kept asking if we were done eating, which made us feel rushed. It wasn't until the next day that my girlfriend noticed there was apparently a 2-hour seating limit listed on the menu. That would have been helpful to know upfront instead of feeling pressured throughout the meal. Overall, not the experience we expected.

They had one server for the entire restaurant. This affected our meal and we probably won't be coming back. The food was good but was not worth the very long wait. The best meats we tried were the flat iron steak and the beef brisket. The Korean Fried chicken was also great. We also had the mango soju pouch, which was very yummy as well. Yeah, by the time we were all done with our All You Can Eat Feast, I had everyone at our table acknowledging me with, Yes Chef! ;) And when it was time to pay the bill... I was also the Bankroller, The Benefactor, The Meal Ticket and my little Citi Bank Costco card took the tab like a champ! Yeah, $257 Big Ones for 4 adults with adult Bevies, including tip for a meal that I literally cooked myself. At first, I was a little taken back, but after doing my research, I completely understood the reasons why K-BBQ costs what it does. So why is Korean Bbq so pricey you ask, especially since you are the one doing the actual cooking? Well according to Google... Premium Quality Meats, Labor Intensive Preparation, Imported Ingredients from the Motherland, aka Korean Spices, etc., and of course the Specialized Cooking Equipment.... All of this contributes to the hefty price per person, not to mention, it is AYCE after all. So I guess $257 isn't really all that crazy when you think about it, as long as you get your moneys worth. Being that it was my wife and I's first time here, and that my wife's sister & husband are regulars, we let them take charge and do all of the ordering. From the Premium All You Can Eat section, we went balls to the wall and ordered everything under the sun. A little Pork Fried Dumpling, some Fried Vegetable Egg Rolls, Marinated Tofu, Kimchi, and what seemed to be endless amounts of Beef, Pork, Chicken and Shrimp kept flowing to our table. Not gonna lie, We definitely did some damage. The presentation of all of the appetizers, sauces and extras was definitely intriguing, especially to a first timer (Me), but it wasn't until all of the proteins started rolling out until I really got excited. Rolled Beef Brisket, Sliced Ribeye, Beef Bulgogi, Chicken Bulgogi, Pork Bulgogi, Shrimp... All cooked by me, right at our table, with no formal Korean BBQ Training... And it actually got me thinking... That I just might be ready to take on Bobby Flay! Haha. Service was good and our server checked in with us regularly making sure to change out the Cooking BBQ Plate a few times over the course of our meal as the high heat and marinade juices on the meat left the Cooking Plate scorched after a few rounds of barbecuing our meats. All in All it was a good experience, and we will for sure come back, but more than likely only for special occasions. For beginners, like myself, I definitely recommend you read their restrictions on the All You Can Eat (AYCE) portion of the menu so you know what to expect. Now Have fun and go get your Janchi on!
