Ordered a medium poke bowl and hand rolls. Fish did not taste fresh, which is why they tried to mask it with a ton of sauce. Portions were pathetically small especially considering the low quality fish they source (if they were using sushi grade fish I can understand smaller portioning). Staff were rude and unwelcoming. I can tolerate mediocrity when it comes to restaurants especially if it's a spot I have not been to but when it's this far below mediocre I'm inclined to leave a review... take shortcuts with quality and your customers WILL notice. If you want excellent poke at the same price range I'd recommend Poke works & H2O Poke. But chances are, any other place u go to will be better than this one. read more

Having been a long time patron of this establishment with my last visit being pre Covid, I'm sad to see that the quality and value has gone down. This was truly one of the best poke places in the area and now seems subpar with small portions, and lowered food quality. Service seemed forced at best with the lady seeming annoyed with my order. I ordered a hot milk tea (in addition to my two rolls and poke bowl) and she offered boba and then told me not to order boba since they don't have it available at the moment. I don't think after my recent visit I will be returning unless I observe that quality has been restored. read more

I was very unsatisfied with the the service at poke roll. The owners did not greet me as I walked in and right away, it made me feel unwelcome. In addition their fish was not fresh and they give you skimpy amounts of sides in the bowl as well as fish. They did not use fresh fish in the hand rolls which left the foul taste in my mouth. After I finished eating, I had a stomach ache and right away, I knew that it was from the fish/amount of sauce they gave. Stumbled upon this place because we wanted some sushi and poke and saw that it had good reviews. This place definitely lives up to the good reviews it has! The owner took our order and was so nice. He said we were able to adjust our sushi roll order since I wanted to get fresh salmon instead of seared salmon. We ended up getting the Poki Roll and the Imperial Roll (sub raw salmon instead of seared). Both rolls exceeded our expectations. The poki roll had a good kick to it from the spicy tuna and the poki marinade was delicious. The imperial roll was topped with red and black fish eggs which added a nice flavor to it. This roll had no rice and was wrapped in soy paper. I would definitely get both of these rolls again. This place does not skimp on ingredients! We also got a large poke bowl (5 scoops) and got octopus, spicy tuna, spicy salmon, and 2 salmon. The person creating our bowl was great at giving us recommendations. I feel like it's nice and fresh every time, I came in with my daughter and ordered two poke bowls, when I asked how much was a cup of miso soup to go he said $1, I said I'd have two of them to go. Then he went on to say to try to go somewhere else and check out prices, I never said anything about pricing as I know all goes up. I am also in the restaurant business and our prices just went up. He told me it was very frustrating people asking for prices. I didn't want to say anything in front of my daughter. But, I called him back and told him it's not ok to talk to customers like that. Specially I have been coming here from before here was there. Poki Roll is in my neighborhood, but I will make sure we don't go there anymore, I know other Poki places where they are not rude or talk to guests like that in front of their invites, in this case my daughter. Very yummy poke -- comparable to pokinometry but I think I like the sauce at pokinometry a bit more. I got a small salmon bowl with origin mild sauce, spicy mayo, and ponzu sauce. My absolute favorite spot to grab a poke roll! Their poke rolls (which I refer to as smaller versions of "sushi burritos") are the perfect size for me. One notable factor that stood out to me was that they are wrapped in soy paper, which is way more study and gets less messy than the typical seaweed. I prefer the soy paper personally, but my boyfriend prefers the saltiness that seaweed has. To each their own! The portions are also a little smaller than a poke burrito would be elsewhere, but I personally think it is worth the price. My boyfriend orders the poke bowls and enjoys it. Wow! I just found my favorite poki restaurant in my town. I should have known this restaurant earlier because their foods are outstanding and it is only 5 minutes away from my home. Today was already my third time visit less than a week. I cannot stop coming back because of their great service and delicious foods. The restaurant's main seller is poki bowl, but they also have sushi rolls, and hot kitchen foods that Japanese restaurants offer such as katsu, terriyaki, and udon. There are so much to choose from the menu. I always get pork katsu, and spicy pork as two-item bento box. The box comes with one piece of gyoza, red pickled radish, spring mix, and miso soup as side dishes. Everything was delicious. Pork katsu was very crunchy outside and juicy inside. Spicy pork was sweet, and spicy. The porks were melting in my mouth as they are using only high quality ones. All side dishes were very fresh and flavorful too. Prices on the menu are affordable. My bento box was only 11 dollars total. If customer wants to make change from white rice to brown rice, the restaurant offers that for free. Not many restaurants do that. I also got one can of diet coke, and it was only a dollar. That is as cheap as local liquor stores. The interior of restaurant is very modern, clean, and filled with comfortable looking tables, but customers are not allow to dine in due to COVID19 Pandamic. I hope they can reopen the dining room as soon as possible. I am definitely coming back soon to have a great experience again. read more

I tried this location recently on my lunch break, I found it on Yelp and they had many good reviews. When I arrived there was a person waiting ahead of me, and 2 men working. They looked at me several times but took a while to actually greet or acknowledge me. I ordered a small poke bowl with brown rice. I was a little disappointed by the small portion of rice, I actually ran out of it before I ran out of toppings. The fish is fresh, I ordered salmon and tuna. The scoop sizes are a little on the small side. They had fresh toppings and were generous with them, the avocado is $1 extra but they do give half an avocado, so that was good. One thing I did like was that they added the fish and dressings, and some of the toppings to a separate bowl, mixed them and then added them to the poke bowl. As you can read in other reviews yeah it is hidden so driving by it might not get much attention but only reason why checked this place out because looked up reviews on yelp and am always intrigued to try new poke places. I do have my go to that I know I won't be disappointed but when I want to venture out to try a different place I look on here and referring to this place it wasn't a disappointment at all. When my group got there we were craving poke that morning but wanted to try a closer place and a new one and also one that opened early enough to appease to our cravings. The restaurant itself is really nice and clean inside and the staff was very welcoming. Not sure if we were the first customers of the day but it seemed like it and as we got our food to eat there, other customers would come and take it to go but for the most part the place inside was nice and peaceful oh and of course the food was good. I definitely recommend this place and will try it again. Do wish they had spicier options but either way I'm not complaining about the quality of the food or the way it tasted. It was very good and am willing to try it more often since its close to where I live and the interior was a nice place to eat inside. Of course the time we went was right when they opened, so don't know how the quality and customer service is during peak hours. Just hope the quality and experience doesn't diminish but even writing this review I'm getting in the mood to go to it now to get some poke from them. We chose the medium poki bowl, 8.50. They allow you to go half on your base choices and I chose half brown rice and half salad. The brown rice was yummy. Medium gets you three choices of fish. Spicy and non spicy. I chose spicy tuna, albacore, and salmon. Lots of extras to choose from and of course everything is also an option. This place is chill and has pro service. The selection of fish is amazing and they are always tasty. Most places don't have octopus and yellowtail but they have them. You can get boba of all different flavors and hang out listening to relaxing music and they have some big tables for groups. The sauces are a great selection also, though my wife and I usually get NoSpicy sauce and Ponzu because we are of the less spicy variety of folks. We always get the noodle poke bowl base and they cook the noodles fresh to order. It is in a quiet corner of a small shopping center. Really tucked away between the two white pillars of the building. We go there often, many Saturdays for lunch and sometimes we order ahead and get it as takeout. You should check it out! read more

With all the great reviews, idk why I was surprised how good this place was. They got all your standard toppings and fish and for the price, they're very generous with their portions. I think the reason why I was so impressed and what I loved about it was the spicy tuna. Spicy tuna was actually spicy and they adjust the bowl just right that it tastes good but not overly done. Poke was 10/10. We also got the yakisoba and that was a little disappointing.. for some reason there was a lot of liquid at the bottom of the box. I assume cabbage being overcooked. Okay, I'd seen all the great reviews and my "regular" place kept upping their prices and the last time, I actually took it back because it wasn't very fresh and it was that bad. So, tonight we popped in here. You all were right, it IS quite literally a hole in between two walls. There were two employees at the counter and we were promptly and pleasantly greeted. I told the man (found out his name was Tom and he is the manager) and female at the counter, the reason we were here was the great reviews on Yelp. Also, they were running a promotion which was advertised outside in signage, "California Roll $1.99". We also got a shrimp crunch roll which was $8. The poki bowls were the reason we were there. We got two medium bowls. It's very easy to decide what and when.....there are instructions for what order the ingredients should go into the bowl, (starting with "Station 1" & so on, to "Station 5") above us on the colorful menu board (see pictures). There was a very wide variety of proteins to select from, more than I've seen at most places. Avocado is a dollar extra, as is most places. I found the serving of avocado very generous and it was appreciated. A half and avocado! The other place didn't give that much. However the crab is included! You get two scoops, one regular and one spicy. If you don't want the spicy, you can get two of the regular. They do mix your proteins with your selection of sauces separately before placing in your bowl. Then you finish it up with the toppings. I think the only thing I missed from the other place I've been going, were the fried onions and for me, that was a big deal. They really add to my enjoyment of the bowl. Yes, the prices are substantially less than the other place. However, they were decidedly much more careful here with the proteins, to give you just what fit in the scooper only.....it was, in my opinion, very measured. No extra little bit. I did like having the proteins mixed together with the sauces. Both my husband and I commented that we liked extra sesame oil, but what we got wasn't quite enough. And I did request spicy Mayo on the side which she must have forgotten. And I forgot to check the bag before we left. I think there were two areas lacking that stood out to me. The mild sauce we selected (what can I say? We are both wimps when it comes to spicy!) was 1) not sufficient, we needed more sauce, too dry. And 2) both of us felt the bowl needed something more....the big flavor punch we were expecting, I'm sad to say was missing. The sauce flavor was blah. It was a bit flavorless. My proteins were tuna, yellowtail and scallops. My husband had salmon, tuna and albacore. It wasn't that it wasn't fresh.....it was just that it didn't wow us with flavor. I so wanted to give this place 5 stars. However, I'll be back again. Maybe something was just off tonight. With all the great reviews, this place is worth another visit. Unable to rate the rolls as we've not had them yet. I'll post a picture of them, minus the one roll my husband popped in his mouth on the way home!
