Great place to go they cut the fish right there and the sauces were good too. They didn't have kobo or yellow tail anymore when I went but it was still great. The service was fast and they were super kind. The inside was super clean and there was a lot of seating which was great. I got Togo cause of my schedule but definitely will come back

Haven't been in many years and was craving poke due to the warm weather Local spot indeed Multiple Offerings Rolls Hand rolls Poke Entrees Sides Multiple sizes of bowls: small medium large would determine number of scoops of protein Upon serving it would seem like very specific portions are being served though service was easy and nice. (note $1 for avocado) clean and various booths and tables to sit, was semi quiet due to time of day Would return, poke light tasty fresh flavor, garlicky edamame had some extra seasoning and smelled wonderful Hidden gem literally in a corner yes

Poki Roll has been around for a while, but it was only through yelp that I was able to find it. This spot is a small, family-owned business. The best value is their "special combo", which is a small poke bowl with a "base roll" for $15.50. I upgraded to a medium bowl and my "roll" was a crunch roll. With their poke bowls, their small bowl is two scoops of protein, their medium bowl is three scoops of protein, and their large bowl is 5 scoops of protein. I have to say that I enjoyed my roll and my bowl, but my issue is that the scoops of protein are on the smaller side. The scoop is about the size of a knob of butter on a stack of pancakes. I was waffling between three stars and four. Even though I felt that what I ordered was delicious, I ultimately felt that the value and food experience was simply OK, which is three stars in the yelp scale. I do think that it's a good spot for poke and everything tastes good. If you're hungry, definitely go with a large bowl and don't overlook that "special combo" as it helps you maximize value.

Good poke. Fresh, and taste so authentic. The place is little and feels so homey. We came in the evening and it was pretty empty for sit down, the people helping us were helpful and nice. My husband and I had medium bowls, and my son grabbed a chicken teriyaki bento box.

Such a cute restaurant with amazing food. The service was great. Every question i had they answered and offered me different options. Can't wait to go back.

$20 for a large poke bowl is pretty standard but the fact that this place was so stingy with their add ons. 3 pieces of cucumber, two strings of carrots and so on. You're paying for the fish and veggies are not that expensive that they have to put so little. Disappointed. Also got the lychee slushie with boba and the boba was hard as pellets which means it's olddddd!

I love going to this poki place with my girlfriend because the pokey is really good and the owner himself is a cool dude and it's really adorable to unlike some other places

Some of the best Poki I've had hands down. It not only looks great, but it tastes amazing. I love how fresh the fish and salad/topping items are. The service was prompt and I loved how clean and artsy the space was inside. In the City of Cypress, this may seem like a hole in the wall spot from the outside but is truly a hidden gem! I enjoy eating here and highly recommend trying this spot.

Finally had the chance to try this spot today! I arrived at around 5pm and there was no wait. I ordered 3 poke bowls and 1 premium roll. The man who took my order was friendly and easily prepared each different poke bowl, and my premium roll was finished at pretty much the same time as the bowls were done. My salmon tasted fresh, and all the toppings were great quality too. There are lots of different options for toppings, and everyone enjoyed their food. I will definitely be back!

Good service. Food: BEST onigiri iv had! Iv tried the kbbq, mentaiko, honey walnut, and spicy salmon onigiri. My two favorite were the mentaiko and spicy salmon onigiri. The mentaiko (fish eggs) was delicious, it was salty but like the good saltiness (not overly salty if that makes sense haha) and keep in mind that it is a tad spicy but for me I can handle it because I love anything spicy! Now the spicy salmon onigiri was PERFECT. Not too spicy (perfect for those who likes a mild spice) and creamy. My bf ordered spicy salmon as well and honey walnut shrimp. Both he said were delicious and his favorite was the honey walnut shrimp! For the kbbq, it was delicious too! Reminded me of Kbbq! All onigiris came with seasoned furikake and seaweed (there's an option if u want it on the side or remove it). There is also ahi tube poke and 3 sauces to choose from. At the very least, it has been my favorite chain of Japanese markets, but it stinks how they have just one location in the Bay Area! In fact, across my limited number of trips to SoCal, I've already visited more locations down here than back at home and I have to say - this location may be the newest, but it's also my least favorite one I've been to. Like pretty much every other Mitsuwa I've been to, this location has a cute little food court with a half dozen or so eateries offering a variety of food options - from ramen, udon, and curry rice plates to onigiri, matcha, and Japanese sweets. As for the market, it has all of the usual offerings you would expect - a solid selection of fresh produce, meats, seafood, frozen foods, pantry staples, alcohol, snacks, and sections of prepared foods and sushi to choose from. What's more, as a whole, everything here felt so new and clean (which makes sense in hindsight, as it apparently opened only back in November). With all of that having been said, though, it's weird to me how this place still felt a bit...lacking. While you can find a decent mix of things to eat at their food court, it's pretty much limited to three eateries, so don't be surprised to see lines when it's busy. Also, despite how new it is, the market feels smaller than other Mitsuwas I've been to. That's not inherently bad, but pickings felt relatively slim for certain meats and produce we were looking for, as well as their bento boxes and sushi. Granted, it probably didn't help that we were here on a Sunday and the place was packed with customers, but it's not like we stopped in towards the end of the day either. All in all, while I definitely think there are plenty of positives about this location, I'd be lying if I said I was as impressed with this one as I was by their location in Costa Mesa. It's definitely nice how new it is and I would never be opposed to going to any Mitsuwa, but if I lived out this way, it'd be tough not to know whether I'll be able to get everything I need here or if I'll also need to stop off somewhere else. THREE AND A HALF STARS rounded down for now.

Grilled Eel, $3.60 prior to tax- My husband and I split this one. I really liked the eel and also the sauce that was used on top of the eel. My husband also really liked this one. Fried Oyster, $3.60 prior to tax- I decided to order this one but it was topped with a spicy mayonnaise that I thought was a little too spicy for me (again, I am not a spicy eater). But the fried oyster itself was good. ---------------------------------- (Total= $10.67 after tax) Wait time for our items was pretty much non existent, since the girl helping us boxed up our items before I even had the chance to finish paying (I always struggle to pay via tap on the first try... I always seem to have the credit card somewhere else, instead of wherever the sensor is to pay for it...D'oh). This was a great snack for us since we had lunch 3 hours before (I had a light lunch of a tofu salad so the 1.5 onigiri that I had was perfect for me). I like that the onigiri was fresh and the filling. But there is a significant amount of rice and very little of the filling. I usually get my food without sesame and I noticed the other day they accidentally out a little sesame on it and instead of just picking it off and giving it to me the remade the whole order. I was very very impressed by it. The ambiance is nice. It can feel casual but the food you taste is very Delicious and feel high end.

Quick dinner on a Friday after work. The staff is always welcoming and made sure to check in on us…read moreregularly. Our first time here was last. It was happy hour before 5pm. Prices are affordable and sushi was flavorful. Today, we ordered almost the same items but unfortunately there was barely any taste. It did not taste bad more like freshly unfrozen with only some flavor and little sweetness. Spicy edamame - tasted like it was just sate'd in chili oil and salt Yellow tail belly Albacore belly Jumbo Scallop Ankimo Spanish Makeral Red Snapper We really enjoyed this place and wanted to give it another try but if you do try; definitely come before 5pm for their Makeral hour prices. Again, the staff was very nice nice welcoming. It is a place for family and quick get together but the food has been hit n miss.

I was craving some cold soba and saw that Echizen offered Zaru Soba! We waited about 15 minutes or…read moreso for a table for 2. Under their Light Dinner section, they offer a Zarusoba for $12.00 and a Tempura Udon/Soba with Shrimp Tempura for $13.00. However, if you want Zarusoba with Tempura, they charge an extra dollar. The Zarusoba was good, but it would be nice if they gave a bit more sauce for dipping. I also got a Sashimi Salad, which had a lot of sashimi! It had salmon, tuna, and a white fish. Pretty good, but it could have used a little more dressing as well. The Combination Plate with Salmon and Tempura was enjoyable. It comes with a piece of salmon, a variety of tempura (shrimp, broccoli, sweet potato, onion), side salad, miso soup, rice, tempura sauce, and teriyaki sauce. Salmon was cooked well, and I liked all of the tempura! Their Lunch Specials are originally what caught my eye, but it seems like they don't have anything similar for dinner. Instead, everything is a la carte with the exception of a few combination plates. I wish they would do dinner specials similar to their lunch specials! Parking here is pretty difficult. The lot gets packed with several cars circling around hunting for a spot. They're also going some construction right now which doesn't help. There is a large parking lot where the Home Depot is next door, but they specifically have signs posted to say you can't park there.

Been coming here since 2014…read more Started as a broke Cypress College student now working in corporate. Authentic Japanese-owned, mostly Japanese staff, with a couple of long-timers who have clearly found their forever workplace - over a decade and counting. New owner took over when the original retired, a few small changes here and there, but the food and service? Barely touched. That is the highest compliment a ownership transition can get. Check IG for their lunch specials from M-F. I am leaving this review purely out of self-interest. This place cannot close.
