I also got a base roll which was good. Service was great but it's slow wouldn't recommend if you in a rush. There's a few tables to eat inside it's not a very big place. I saw 1 table outside. Great place for poke bowl. It's been our favorite place whenever we're craving for poke. Service is quick and friendly. The store is spacious and perfect for group gathering. Highly recommend by a friend. Plenty of parking. I have been to a lot of poke places but what this place stands out is not just poke, but it has sushi rolls and ramen. Like any poke places, you choose your rice, protein and your sides and sauces like any typical poke place. If you regulars come here on the daily basis, you will see one male worker all the time...turns out that is the owner. He is very chill and does not question if you ask for extra condiments. The spicy mayo is actually spicy but not too spicy to burn your lips. The fish is fresh. I have yet to try to the ramen but friend does not recommend it. Been going here for awhile. Generally, I've always had a good experience. Food is better than most places. The chef/owner keeps conversations to a minimum. Overall, my experience was okay. Visiting California from Las Vegas and stopped by this restaurant for lunch. Upon walking in, we were greeted by the nice gentleman behind the counter. The menu was above the counter and easy to read. We all chose to make our own bowls and the gentleman was very helpful and efficient. I ordered white rice with Salmon, albacore and Tuna with cucumbers, massago, carrots and original sauce. This was probably the best Poke Bowl that I have ever had. The fish was fresh and tasty. The bowl was just enough food for lunch. I was full about 3/4 the way through but it was almost impossible to put down the chopsticks because it was just that tasty! The establishment was nice and clean inside. We grabbed a table and stayed for over an hour just talking and enjoying company. Very welcoming environment and a great experience. I attend a gym close by and after a hard morning of lifting I did a quick Yelp search and was pleased that this place was literally a few blocks down. Upon entering indoor dining is closed but they had everything set up to maintain social distancing. The bathroom was also closed off to the public so that's a bummer I definitely would've rather washed my hands then just used their hand sanitizers. They have a lot of items to choose from depending on what you're craving. I settled on the hand roll combo which allows you to choose 3 hand rolls of your choice I went with the spicy tuna, crunch roll, and spicy salmon but was given the regular salmon by mistake. I didn't realize it until I left the restaurant but that's ok I'll try the spicy salmon next time. Hand rolls were decent in size and had a good amount of fish to rice ratio. I definitely would order them again next time. 4 stars*** I also got the large Poke bowl which comes with 5 small scoops of your choice of fish. They have like 8 options to choose from which is nice. They also have lots of toppings and bases as well as sauces you can choose from. I like that there isn't a limit of toppings you can add. The only additional charge is for avocado. Large poke bowl is a bit smaller than other larges but it's a good amount and definitely satisfied my cravings. Literally one of my favorite spots to eat! The poke bowl is pretty filling and there's lots of toppings to choose from. The baked salmon and angrytail rolls are also very very good. Quick service, a nice neighborhood hole in the wall ambiance, kept clean inside. Lots of seating inside as well. Lastly the value for the price is hard to beat anywhere else. The poke here is ok, but I'm not sure how it has the highest rating of any poke joint in the area. Portion sizes are on the small side, particularly the base and toppings, but the sauce was poured on heavy and was too much for the amount of rice, salad, protein, and toppings provided. The salmon and yellowtail were OK quality, but the tuna was dyed red and lacked flavor. The jalapenos are pickled jalapenos like you might serve on bowling alley nachos, pretty weird in a poke bowl. The crab salad is not great. All that said, the prices are quite reasonable, so if you're trying to go out for poke but keep your costs down this might fit the bill. read more

It's a solid great poki place. You can tell they cut their own fish. Great toppings like caviar and crab meat. They have octopus also. First time I went they were generous In portion size, second time they were pretty precise. The quality of the fish was surprisingly high. Good price - 5 portion size for $10.50. The couple in front of us left after the line didn't move for a good 10-15 min. Got the small poke with sushi roll combo for $14. The small is very very small and kind of expensive if you buy it separately. You won't get full off a small. The sushi had 8 pieces, a standard sushi roll. Came across this place because of the high Yelp rating, and this place didn't disappoint. We had the hand roll trio and the roll/poki combo. I couldn't believe the great value of the meal for the price we paid. The crunch roll hand roll had battered shrimp tempura which was crunchy flavorful and light non-oily. My first time here. The Poke was fresh and delicious! This appears to be a family-owned business run by a husband and wife. They have sushi, too. The atmosphere was cool and intriguing. It's more like a restaurant setting than a poke place. For those who complained about portion size..... their Large Bowl is the same price as other's medium bowl - $14.99. I got a large bowl which is 5 scoops. So even though their scoops are smaller than other's, you get two more scoops than other's 3 scoops medium bowl that is also $14.99. So it's the same. Prices of everything have gone through the roof the past 3.5 years. If you want to eat out, you have to suck it up. If you want good Poke, this is the place. read more

LOCATION Near a laundromat in a plaza near the Arby's. On Lincoln (north side) between Walker and Valley View. SAFETY All employees are wearing masks, not too crowded, hand sanitizer on counter. QUALITY This place sticks out for the consistency and service. When going to a poke/sushi place, I care about (1) how fresh their salmon is (like light pink color with visible fat stripes type of fresh and moist/glossy looking) and (2) how great the deal is. This fits those two check marks! It's a dollar to add avocado. (That's not such a great deal but thought I'd mention- the bowls itself are a good deal) And they have brown rice, rice noodle, or salad as another base option. I've been going here for years and glad to see this place still thriving! I've been burned once by North Shore and Poke Bar with either stale fish (is stale the right word? Lol no) or browning avocado, and my other go-to was Bowls by 37, but they closed- and I loved that place because no other poke place offered pineapple as a topping! I digress... This was my favorite poke place. The owner's wife is so fucking rude and mean. I just came and ordered a bowl - she gave me a about a flick of a spoons worth of toppings - I asked if I can I have a little bit more. She charged me extra for all of those. I didn't know until I paid. I asked why extra and she said you got everything extra in a rude annoyed tone. Upon reading more reviews, I see she treats others like that. I noticed when an Asian customer came in - she treated him differently and greeted him with a smile and goodbye with a smile. EDIT : I just told the owner how I felt - that this was my favorite place and that is wife is very rude and the flicks of spoons and that there are reviews stating this and he was very unfazed / no remorse and just said sorry that happened and scoffed. Our poor experience started as soon as we parked, some lady was walking around outside and staring us down with dirty looks. She walked inside before us, said something to the man and woman working the counter and went to the back kitchen. Like everybody else, we weren't even greeted when we came in, just two people staring you down with a look like they're annoyed you're even there. The place was empty at 6:30 which was a red flag. We ordered two medium bowls and garlic edamame and the portions they give you is laughable. The bowl is about 70% rice, and we had to ask to add more of pretty much everything, because they serve using table spoons I think. Of course, in return they give you more dirty looks and never said a thing. The edamame was kind of hard and the inside itself was very warm, which obviously fish should be kept at a cool temperature. Not sure how you mess edamame up, but they were successful. The tuna in my bowl was very dark and didn't taste normal, I threw mine away. You couldn't pay me to come back here; from the unfriendly customer service to quality of food to the unpleasant atmosphere, save your money! read more

The poke was alright. Maybe it's because I've had poke from places all over on the islands of Hawaii so my expectations are higher. Also I felt like my medium bowl did not have enough rice. Usually I have the opposite issue of too much rice. One of the best poke bowls I've ever had (and I've had A LOT). The salmon pieces are so fresh and soft, the portions are perfect, and the prices are very reasonable. I love getting everything on their toppings and I love their house spicy sauce + ponzu dressing. I get half salad, half brown rice and 2 scoops of salmon. The size small bowl is surprisingly bigger than I thought. Would definitely get their poke bowls again when I'm in the area :) My 2 sisters are also obsessed with this place and they say the service is very good as well.
