Poke is one of my favorite things to eat as a healthy meal option. The VB/Chesapeake area has so many options and I was glad to try Poketastic. Poketastic was great for a couple reasons. First, the toppings are quite eclectic. You never really see lotus root in most places, and I thought that was a great addition. The ingredients are all fresh and I thought that the crispy onions were especially on point. Lastly, the service was great. Everything was prepared on point and you could tell that there was a lot of thought and care put into each bowl. I'd definitely come back when I'm in the area.

I don't eat poké all too often, but when I do it is a nice light refreshing treat. Pokétastic has been one of the better places I have gotten poké. There are two things I love about this place. One is that the workers are friendly, diligent, and patient. The man who fixed my bowl helped me with all my questions about what certain ingredients were and what they taste like. The second thing I liked about this place is that they take your meat and toss them in however many sauces you want (and they have an abundance of sauces to choose from), this gives their bowls and extra kick of flavor; moreover, I loved each and every bite of my bowl both time I've been in for lunch. All in all, Pokétastic is fantastic! PS: Don't forget to check in on Yelp and get your free can of Hawaiian Sun. The green tea with apple and ginseng flavor is everything.

Probably one of my favorite poke places in Hampton Roads. So glad a good one opened up in Chesapeake! Generous portions, fresh ingredients and super friendly staff- what more could I ask for? Like most poke restaurants it is build your own. If you know how you like your sushi, then you should find it easy to put together a pretty good bowl. I like my poke on the spicy side so I order the spicy salmon and top it with spicy sauce and Poketastic sauce which had a little kick! I would advise against overdoing the sides...you do not want to overwhelm the protein which I have done in the past. And don't forget to check in for your free Hawaiian Sun drink! Space is clean and modern. I've been here multiple times and definitely plan to return in the near future.

Poke is the next big thing and Poketastic does it very well. I stopped in for a takeout lunch and went a little berzerk. Starting off with a "large" bowl and then going double for two proteins. Spring mix base, salmon and salmon and tuna and shrimp, adding avocado (another $1 upcharge), shredded krab, cucumbers, cilantro, cabbage and their spicy mayo. All of that fits extremely well on my keto diet. So I had a meal that was not only delicious but also healthy. There's nothing wrong with that. [Review 10871 overall, 642 of 2019.]

Poketastic is fantastic! I haven't been in a little bit but the flavor is just as good as I remember - Awesome. We. both got a two protein build your own. The size of the container has shrunk. Definitely recommend them without hesitation.

BAY-BEE!! This place gave me my entire life!!! I loved everything about Poketastic, from the hilarious employees to the music that plays in the background. My favorite food is sushi and who knew I could get sushi in a bowl?? I saw this place while driving to a training one day and decided I would try it for lunch. After looking at the reviews I decided I would place an online order because I didn't want to be totally clueless when I got there. It was pretty easy though, you choose what you want in your bowl, much like Chipotle or Subway. If you don't eat raw salmon they can cook it for you, that's what I chose this time. I also added shrimp and everything I usually like in my sushi. They also serve chicken now. I got the small bowl, It was more than enough, I could actually get the xtra small bowl from now on. I just can't stop raving about Poketastic. It definitely lives up to its name!

I have been searching for the best poke in Hampton Roads. As a big fan of poke, Poketastic is the 5th poke restaurant that I've been to. I learned about this restaurant when a former coworker tagged me on their social media post and from then on, Poketastic was on my watch list as the next Poke restaurant that I wanted to visit. First and foremost, I think their Chesapeake location is perfect. They pretty much monopolize the poke business in Chesapeake and all the neighboring cities such as Virginia Beach and Suffolk. Also, they are located in Battlefield, which I think is one of the busiest street in Chesapeake. Poketastic is the only poke restaurant that I have been to that is very considerate to their customers. They offer toasted proteins if you are not a big fan of raw fishes, like me. They also serve chips as their base which is very unique. They offer more sauces compared to the other poke restaurants and they let you have extra sauces as well. They have a huge selection of toppings to choose from, which makes their bowls affordable. As for the drinks, there's a lot of options to choose from, especially if you prefer teas. For the portioning, their portions are huge. I normally order medium from other poke restaurants, but at Poketastic, I can't even finish the small. As for their food, you have to try the gochujang sauce mixed with your protein which will definitely make your bowl extra flavorful. You can tell that their fishes are fresh just by looking at their bright color. The restaurant is very trendy and has a rustic theme. Although the dining area is clean, the one of the things that stands out about this restaurant is their bathroom. The bathroom smells so good and it is very spacious. The water faucet has a light every time you turn on, which is quite unique. With delicious poke bowls, clean surroundings, and perfect location, my Poketastic experience is very enjoyable. Poketastic is now on my top 1 favorite poke restaurant in Hampton Road. Even though they just opened last month, they pretty much set the bar high for new and the established poke restaurants in the area.

Heard great things about this place and finally remembered to stop by while I was in the area. I arrived hungry around 8pm. I've now been to a few poke restaurants so I was already familiar with the process. Pick your protein, base and toppings. I went with my usual 2 proteins: salmon and tuna. I noticed the tuna was running low as the employee was pretty much scraping the bin. I asked her if that was all the tuna left to which she replied yes. I felt a little shorted being that I didn't get compensated for not getting my full scoop, the salmon was looking pretty low too. They have a broad selection of toppings which I took advantage of as well as Hawaiian Sun drinks, that was perfect to wash it all down with. Other than the empty tuna, I would come back again and give them another try because I was pleased with the taste.

I've been here many times and I can't believe I haven't checked in or wrote a review here but this place definitely needs to be acknowledged. I found out about this place through my nephew and his fiancé, they apparently know the owner & with it being so close to my job, i was like - why not? Poketastic keeps it plain and simple - choose you size and have it your way. They are very gracious with the amount they give you and everything always tastes amazing. Unlike other places in the area, Poketatsic gives you your money's worth. If its your first time, the staff will definitely take good care of you; any questions you have they got you. And speaking of staff, customer service is on point here. They're always so upbeat and friendly. Thanks Poketastic!

This place is delicious! I havent had seafood in a while and came here. Definitely not disappointed. I got the 4 protein bowl with all the helpings. Make sure you get some sesame oil and poketastic sauce, they add it to the protein AND to the top of the bowl once youre done pickin the toppings to add more flavor. I've been trying some poke spots in the area and this is probably the best that I have so far. First thing I noticed was that their small bowl Is the same size S some other Poke restaurant's small sized bowl. So, already.... value is way better. The ratios of proteins to added ingredients was great. They didn't skimp on the proteins or any of the side items. Everything tasted fresh, didn't see any wilting, mold or anything that might throw up any red flags. I definitely recommend this place to anyone else looking to eat at a Poke spot. Love the food, quality and portions! We ordered take out, of course, and I didn't go in.. so I can't say much for the exterior or ambiance of the place. Definitely 2 thumbs up. Go get some!

I stumbled across this place on Yelp and decided to give it a try since I work right around the corner. I was not at all disappointed! First you pick your base (white rice, brown rice, or greens) then your protein. There's a great selection but j highly recommended the spicy tuna and shrimp They have several sauces they let you sample and once you make your selections, they whip it up with your protein. Definitely try a combination of sauces because you'll come up with a flavor combo specifically for you. Then comes the best part - the toppings! I got carrots, edamame, bean sprouts, and cucumber. Top it all off with fried garlic and drizzled Japanese mayo....mmmm I plan on making this a regular lunch spot. read more

First time I ever had poké was from this place! They're the only place in the area I know that cooks the proteins, and for a person who hates raw fish that's a great option, lol. On top of that, you get to add as much of the toppings as you'd like. The staff is nothing short of amazing, always super friendly. You get a punch card to earn a free bowl too. I was so terribly disappointed in my bowl especially after spending $19 on it. It is without a doubt the least tastiest one I have ever eaten! They have crab on the menu board but it's really imitation crab. When I asked to substitute the imitation crab it for a different protein I was told it would be at an additional cost. Although I couldn't understand the reasoning behind it I agreed. When it was time to check out I was surprised to be charged for 3 proteins rather than one. What the person preparing my meal didn't tell me was by ordering the salmon, I would get 2 servings of it. Had I known it was going to have 2 servings of protein I would have never ordered the shrimp at an additional cost. In the end, it was far from delicious and I ended up throwing half of it away. Ordered the salmon dream bowl today with added guac. Hooooly smokes! It was so damn good! Everything was fresh, marinated perfectly, and put together well. Great Poke bowls! The selection of fresh ingredients is great! We loved picking our ingredients and customizing our bowls. Delicious! We will definitely be going back for more and won't even mind the hour drive to get there! Would have been 5 stars but the music was a little loud and they don't have a lot of seating. I don't know if it's because I'm from the West Coast but I immediately notice things I didn't like. Much pricer than San Diego. The appearance of the place is inviting and clean. They have your typical poke station setup. Staff is friendly. The way the server stacked the food in the bowl, showed his inexperience with food preparation. I immediately decided to not let that ruin my experience, so I sat down and began to eat me bowl. My food complaints with this place, rice tasted like it was from the day prior, cucumbers had no crunk, sea weed salad was slimy, imitation crab had a strong taste, ginger was soggy, not sure how he messed up the spicy tuna. Overall dissatisfied with the quality of food and would not recommend. read more

So ... meh. I really used to like coming here. I don't think I'll be back though. You are paying a delivery fee for pickup. The owners are still doing delivery only. There ate plenty of local places to get the same or better fare for the same coin AND have an enjoyable experience. Contrast sitting in the parking lot like you're waiting for something illegal. If you want delivery go to amazon, if you want Poke go somewhere actually open. read more

I love love love poketastic! Their ingredients are always fresh and they never disappoint. One thing I do wanna say however, I put in a to go order at around 11:45am and I picked 1:00pm for the pick up time. I got here exactly at 1pm called like the banner said and the person that answered said my order wasn't ready yet and it would take 5 more mins. I thought an hour and 15 mins is more than enough time to make my food. I do only get an hour for lunch and it takes me about 15 mins for me drive here. read more

The best poke place I have been to in Chesapeake. You get to choose from a variety of bases (chips, white rice, brown rice and lettuce). Three different sizes are available. Each size comes with a different amount of base and meat depending on the size. They have a large variety of Hawaiian Sun juices. Bowl prices start at around $11. A small is more than enough to get full from. There are several proteins to choose from (spicy tuna, spicy salmon, salmon, tuna, shrimp and more). There are about 10 sauces that you can choose from, and at-least 15 different mix ins. Have been here several times and never had a bad experience. read more

Love the Poke' here! But I came at 11am one day, it was still pretty quiet, they took my order. I sat down and wait for my toasted salmon to cook. Then a huge crowd came in. Employees got busy and started getting all confused with which the bowls belonged to. I patiently waited for a good 30 mins for my food & decided to follow up. One of the employees apparently gave my order to another customer!!! Not even aware who is waiting for it. So if I didn't ask them about my food, no one even knows I've been waiting!!! Then they want me to go back in line and make my Poke' again. Of course I said no and just ask for my money back. You guys been open for a while, and still do not have a system in place when you get slammed. Anyway, I just discovered a new place called Molly on Greenbrier. They put numbers on people's orders and call out that number when it's ready! It's that simple, Poke' bowls are amazing, plus they have Ramen and Bubble tea!! Just go! We lived in Hawaii for a while and became poke addicts. We had yet to find anything comparable around here. The other poke joints had been let downs. Then we tried Poketastic! This place was not on my radar but I was encouraged to eat here. I was pleasantly surprised. This is sushi's answer to Subway or Chipotle. I wasn't sure how to combine my meats or toppings but the staff was patient and pleasant enough guiding me through. I truly felt like delicious, healthy and clean eating. Decor is nice and hip. Definitely overpriced BUT can't even be mad due to the food quality. This was my first time trying it and I was definitely thrown off by the pricing given the fact I eat poke from everywhere and if it's ever near this price I get an explainable amount. If they were more consistent and a little faster, I'd be there more often. I'm not a fan of musubi. Once I found a hair in mine from here and it really turned me off so that I can't order them anymore from there. Not a huge loss since as mentioned, I don't enjoy musubi anyways. We got takoyaki and the sushi burrito to share, and she got the ramen and I got the pork udon. First of all you order at the kiosks and they are very easy to follow. I will say I'd prefer to talk to someone about how to order if I wasn't already super familiar with the types of food they carry. The tables were mostly full. There were only a handful of spots to sit. I will say, the entire store was a little disheveled. There are drinks on palettes in the middle of the floor, the tables were a little dirty. You clean up after yourself when you are done eating, so I'm not sure how often someone comes through and wipes them down. Other than that, everything was fine and the food was delicious. We will be back and I'm coming STRAIGHT FOR THE SUSHI BURRITO. It was the best thing we had. Followed closely by the takoyaki.

The only thing I didn't like is that the menu says grilled chicken. The chicken for my Ramen was not grilled. It looked boiled to me though it had flavor. I didn't eat the chicken or peas (I just don't like peas). I was super pleased and excited about how thoughtfully the food was wrapped. The smoothie I can best describe as an adult sippy cup. I will be drinking out of that cup for maybe a day or 2 before I throw it away. The food was in a bento box!!! The Ramen and other things were separate from the broth. I added the Ramen and other things to it and it was really good. Next time I will get the vegetable Ramen with the nuggets. The nuggets was good too. Can't wait to try another drink. But for now my friend and I are trying to choose what to eat. So I see poké on yelp and wonder what it is. Looks like a deconstructed sushi roll with no seaweed. Never had one so I thought I would check it out and this restaurant had some good reviews and wasn't to far. It's a tiny hole in the wall along a strip mall. My friend and I ordered several items. Tonkotsu broth with chicken katsu ramen with extra ramen noodles, a couple pick three protein poké bowls, salmon tataki, seaweed salad, volcano roll, coconut smoothie with added boba and rainbow jellies, and Thai Tea. Our orders are to go cause we have kids and didn't feel like having them mess the little joint up. The to go bags are absolutely the cutest! They're reusable red bags and each of us had our order neatly tucked away into them. Hot food was hot and cold food was cold. And our drinks were in the bags too and had little heart stoppers on the lids so no spilling was gonna happen in my car. The food was great! I feel like I went a little to heavy in the sauces I ordered because I didn't know how it worked. So they sauce your proteins and then sauce the top of your bowl. I'm not a fan of mayonnaise and there was something creamy in my bowl and I think a squirt of Japanese mayonnaise made it in by accident. But my bowl still tasted really good. I chose salmon, tuna, and salmon tataki for my proteins and mixed with all the other mixers it was pretty good! I will definitely know what to order and what not to order for my bowl next time. The sides were a great addition. Seaweed salad is always such a fresh side to get and it was cold and crunchy and seasoned well. The volcano roll was savory and lightly fried and was really good!!! One of the better ones I've tried and it was large and the sauces on top of it were perfect. The salmon tataki wasn't my absolute favorite. There was a creamy sort of sauce on it and again I'm not a huge fan of creamy flavors on raw fish. It took away the freshness of the fish in my opinion, but that's not their failure. It's just my preference. The drinks were so delicious!!!!! They can in a neat looking slick cup, I'm am so happy that I ordered my drink at only 30% the sugar content as regular cause whoa, it was still pretty sweet but not overly sweet. The boba was delicious and soft and only very slightly chewy and the rainbow jelly made my white coconut smoothie look so pretty!!! My friends Thai Tea she said was extremely sweet but she liked it very sugary and ordered the normal 100% sugar content. The drinks alongside the savory and spicy entrees were such a good accompaniment to each other and definitely so delicious. So I'm officially hooked on pokè bowls now and boba and jelly drinks. Definitely check this restaurant out if you haven't done so! I definitely enjoyed myself and so did my friend and kids! Everyone loved everything.

The prices just went up a few dollars a dish but the amount of food is always enough for two meals. I personally love the Chicken and Shrimp over rice.
