Our family loves the excellent services combined with the excellent creations at Sakura. We have always done the all you can eat option. It gives you the opportunity to try something different. The friendly staff is always checking on you to see if you want to try anything different. Our go to is always start with Kani salad, bbq squid and then we order 3-4 rolls. The volcano roll is my favorite roll. It has a light batter over the rolls that is fried. The contrast of the warm batter (outside) and cool salmon, crabmeat inside. Definitely earn my five stars every time!

I got the lunch chicken katsu don($16) and it was made in about 20 mins. The food itself wasn't too bad, probably just above average. The chicken had a really crispy layer. Staff had some mistake on my groups order, but they made it right by remaking it and letting us keep the wrong dish. The inside was decorated very nice. Overall a good experience, I bet it would've been better if I had gotten the sushi.

Delicious, fresh and healthy food available in an all you can eat menu or a La carte, your choice. Quaint Japanese ambience with matching music in the backdrop. Nice and comfortable seating, all makes for a wonderful experience. Warm, welcoming and helpful staff.

All you can eat sushi. About $19 per person on Sunday at open (lunch). I believe the price goes up a few dollars later in the day but I'm not certain. Pros: Service is great. Food is good and ready fast. Never overcrowded. Con: It definitely seems like they overtake the primary ingredients with a lot of rice. Possibly to make you full quicker. I'm not sure. I would definitely only order about 2 roles at a time for the average person. If you waste a lot, they do have the ability to charge you extra.

Stopped in for lunch and took advantage of their "all-you-can-eat" offer. Here you order items from their special menu and everything is made to order. Options are a little bit limited, but reasonable, and this enables the chefs to keep up with demand. Food was delivered promptly (often sushi can be exceedingly slow!) and fish was fresh and tasty. Several items were deep fried (shumai - unexpectedly) and gyoza, but either oil was not hot enough or basket was overcrowded as they were very greasy. Dining room is very kitschy, with myriad knickknacks and decorations - so much that it seems almost claustrophobic. (Really, you can take down the Christmas decorations in June!). Tables in middle of room for grubhub and doordash, along with menu washing stations are off-putting holdovers from initial pandemic reactions and need to be readdressed in a way that is more appropriate.

The sushi was delicious. I never had fried sushi before it was scrumptious. The service was great our food came out hot and fresh. The seating was comfortable and we had plenty room for all our plates. The server came to collect our place and refill our drinks in a timely manner. I enjoyed their lunch buffet.

What a nice surprise Sakura turned out to be. My brother and I decided to eat here for lunch and opted for the all-you-can sushi lunch. We couldn't believe the quality of the rolls provided on the menu and were very happy with the sushi and other snacks. One rule to the all-you-can eat menu is you must eat all the items you order otherwise they will charge you for the dish. I found that to be a bit overboard, but can certainly understand they don't want people abusing or wasting food. Overall, great sushi and service.

WE LOVE A BENTO BOX!!! From the start we have ordered to go from this restaurant multiple times since discovered it within the last week. Due to this, I cannot comment on the atmosphere or ambiance of the restaurant. The food is delicious period. There's nothing more to say there except get it and have your pallet be satiated. I would give this 5 stars except that I ordered dumplings one day and they forgot to include them. That was very sad so minus 1 star for the unfortunate service there. Absolutely recommend checking them out if you have not. They are quick to have the food prepared as well! And the bento box is so cute

So I recently went to Daikichi Sushi. I hadn't been there since a few years ago and honestly back…read morethen, went there looking for great ramen. I wasn't impressed and didn't return. So I went back for their sushi as it felt unfair to rate them on ramen when their specialty was sushi. There are very few sushi places actually owned and run by Japanese outside of big cities, people rave about this place, and I'm all for supporting them. I did order the ramen again hoping it changed. It was ok, but I resigned it is not the place for ramen. However, I will say their sushi and other appetizers are great, no lie. But my recent visit left a bad taste despite their great food. When we arrived, about 6pm, the waitress told me and my teenage daughter, "only the bar was available". There were 2 4-person tables that could be separated for a table for 2. And I noticed 2 couples already there sitting at 4 person tables. So I asked the waitress why are they seated at the tables? She said they arrived earlier and now they need to keep the tables open Ok, I get that, even though they only opened an hour ago. It's Saturday night, so I'll go with that. Well, shortly after putting in our order at the bar, I see them seat 2 people at one of the 4-person tables. And then shortly after that, they separated the other 4 seater into 2 tables and sat 2 more couples that arrived at each table. Now, I'm raising an eyebrow. I didn't say anything but before I left, I said to the waitress, I couldn't help but notice there were several couples seated at tables after us. She said oh, that couple knows the owner, referring to the first couple seated at a 4 person table (they didn't even separate the table). Ok I figured that when the owner gave a loud and enthusiastic good bye to them and the diner looked Japanese. I replied to the waitress, but then you all seated 2 more couples and pulled the table apart to accommodate them. She replied that the boss ordered them to separate the tables but he rarely does. I replied that we had arrived well before any of those 3 couples and were told we couldn't sit at the table. She just shrugged as if to say she was just following the boss' order. I left the usual 20% tip because I know the waitress didn't make the decision and she gave great service and the sushi was great. However, that said, the blatant preference of other customers felt insulting and left a super disappointing taste in my mouth. And no, they were not all Japanese. Just that one diner. The owner clearly picked and chose to not give us a table, for whatever biased reason. I could understand if I were alone or my daughter was 8, but she looks clearly like an adult. It just really sat wrong with me and left me upset enough that I question returning. It's very unfortunate that an otherwise great experience was marred by this blatant refusal to seat my daughter and I at a table, only to have salt rubbed into the wound by seating numerous couples that followed at a table, by separating the tables. They didn't even offer to seat us at the traditional tables, all of which were empty at the time we arrived. To me, the authentic Japanese sushi was not worth the insulting unexplained preference to seat other customers after us at a table. PS: the only sushi roll I didn't like was the real crab California roll. The real crab was grey and cold and tasted so fishy, I asked to make sure it was cooked real crab and not raw. (They said it was cooked). I guess I was expecting real Alaska crab white crab and it was not this at all.

But what sets this place apart are the low tables where you fit on padded floor cushions on wooden backs. They even provide slippers for you to dog on the platform that's lined with sisal mat. To the far end is a rock garden. Very zen indeed. I was seated by the sushi bar. I had green tea. Waiting for my order of ramen with spicy miso. The umami orbits broth was great. I wish it had more crunch to it than just the kimchi. Also the pork was slightly cold, they didn't warm up to temp with the broth.

The hostess did not greet myself or my party as we entered and took a seat in the waiting area. It took about 8 min for all to arrive but a basic "welcome, let me know when you're ready to be seated" would have been nice. Atmosphere= 2 stars The decor is old and worn which I could overlook if it wasn't filthy. The bathroom was generally didn't and gross. Dirt, water, and maybe mildew on the sink counters. Carpeted Floors throughout the restaurant were unclean and sticky in places. 2 chairs at our hibachi table had food and liquid pooled on them. The restaurant was not busy and at no time during the visit did I see any employee clean. Food= 3+stars My party of 6 ordered a variety of hibachi including veggie, chicken, steak, shrimp, scallops and lobster. All the proteins were enjoyed. The veggies were decent. Appetizers were yummy and we enjoyed our sushi roll. The fried rice was overly salty/too much soy sauce for my preference but still edible. Yum-Yum sauce was weirdly over sweet. Overall, my guys enjoyed their food. I definitely wouldn't come for a special occasion but maybe it's ok for a random meal for guys in their 20's? Lol

The wait staff took our drink orders and our dinner orders right away. We ordered an appetizer of Tempura Shrimp to start our meal. It was delicious. The shrimp was tender and the coating was not greasy. The sauce that accompanied it enhanced the flavor of the shrimp. My wife ordered the steak and scallops , while I ordered the lobster, shrimp and scallops. The hibachi chef was engaging and obviously very skilled. Our meals came with fried rice and we both agree that we haven't had any fried rice better then this! My wife's steak and scallops were expertly prepared and so tasty that Yum Yum sauce really wasn't necessary. The flavors were so good that dipping sauce, to us were there to add variety. If you expect the same quality and/or costs in both places, you are setting yourself up for failure. If you want the best sushi, go to a sushi restaurant and be prepared to pay those prices. I, personally, if left to my own devices, can easily eat over $100 of sushi at a great restaurant, and my bank account says I can't do that right now. So, I look for good all-you-can-eat sushi that has options for my non-fishy son. Kagura is our go-to. Part of that is because it is close to the house and has something for everyone in our family. The sushi roll list is okay if not overly fantastic, but there are enough options that we leave full-bellied and happy-mouthed every time. Is the sushi fantastic? No, but it is good and affordable, which is the trade off I am willing to make. The restaurant is small, so we have not felt like we are in a feed lot, and we have always had good service. Sometimes things move a bit slower, but not to any seriously frustrating point. In general this is a good all-you-can-eat restaurant that meets my sushi flavor needs without requiring a second mortgage to pay the bill. If you want amazing, trendy, complex roll options, this is probably not the place for you.
