We stopped by for dinner and ordered à la carte. The service was amazing! Our server was a really kind person and checked in on us throughout. I LOVED the presentation of the sushi, the artwork with the sauce (a butterfly and flowers, see pic in review) was such a nice touch. I took a star off because some of the rolls fell apart easily and I wish they offered more variety of rolls on the menu! Still thought it was nice sushi spot to stop by :) read more

I had the pleasure of trying out Ang's Sushi Bistro and it's one of my favorites that I've had. It has definitely been a long time since I've had sushi, but this was a good re-introduction into the world of sushi! The service was great-- sushi chef whipped up a beautiful masterpiece right in front of me. Ambiance is cute and cozy inside. My Godzilla Roll was tasty. read more

I usually approach all-you-can-eat sushi with a healthy dose of skepticism. Too often it means skimpy portions, mediocre fish, or rolls that are 90% rice. Ang's Sushi Bistro completely changed my mind. Their AYCE deal covers the entire menu. The rolls were absolutely delicious and generously sized. The sashimi was fresh and quality, which is really the true test of any sushi spot. And somehow, despite the all-you-can-eat format, the quality never felt compromised. What really elevated the experience was the service. Our server was incredibly sweet and attentive throughout the whole meal. Highly recommend to anyone who loves sushi and great value! read more

The decor is pretty nice when first entering the restaurant. And the service was spot on. I ordered a the "Chesapeake Roll" and Salomon Roll. Both we're delicious, but I thought the salmon roll had a little to much rice. All in all it was good, but honestly there are other places to try. You can order alacart or all you can eat. read more

Admittedly, I'm not a fan of AYCE sushi restaurants. I think that there are far better options available in the restaurants that serve à la cart. Ang's sushi is one of the better places that serve AYCE sushi. You can enjoy some decent sushi there but it's just not as good as you might find elsewhere. If quantity over quality is your only concern, check out Ang's sushi restaurant. read more

This is me and my husband's favorite sushi place! The food is so good!! Best all you can eat sushi! The waiter is friendly and attentive. All the rolls are made fresh. It doesn't take a long time to wait for food to come out. The salmon hand roll is my fav! read more

Low key gem, forreal! As fate would have it, The egg bistro would have a 45 minute wait, and this spot had "all you can eat sushi" in the window, for the win! The sushi was fire! Great service and food! Have been here a few times with friends and family and they also loved it. Only downside is the very young children that are there in the dinning area. I'm assuming they belong to the workers and/or owners. Which really isn't an issue unless they become loud. Overall, I'd recommend! read more

The only reason I'm giving 4 stars is the Teriyaki steak needed more vegetables with it. The steak and rice was plenty and good. Didn't have to wait long. The miso soup was really good. The waitress was attentive and checked on me several times to see if I needed anything. The restaurant is kind of small. The buffet isn't like a regular buffet where the food is visible and you serve yourself. The price was resonable. read more

This place was absolutely amazing. Coming from California quality all you can eat sushi places. This place is top tier. From the quality and freshness of their ingredients, to the presentation and the service. Everything comes together perfectly. The ambiance is extremely pleasant to the experience too. Will definitely be coming back. Thank god our sushi fix option has been locked in with Ang's and it's 8 minutes from the house. Great job guys! read more

We discovered this place after hot yoga one night and have come back many times now. It's our new fave sushi spot! Upon entry, it looks like a typical sushi restaurant. We like that we had the option to sit anywhere we like. I've only ever seen one server and appreciate how attentive he has been each time, even when it gets busy. We're big eaters, so the all you can eat option was right up our alley. Each item we ordered was incredibly flavorful. My new favorite roll is the Yummy Roll and I get it every time we go. At Ang's, they have this ability to make everything taste so good! So many dishes that I've had so many times taste so much better when I have it at Ang's. This place is definitely a hidden gem. read more

Date Night at Ang's was perfect! This was my first time going this place. I wanted to try out their all you can eat buffet menu which was $28. With this option you order from the menu & they bring it out fresh. Our food arrived quickly and was hot and delicious! I felt I got my moneys worth. I ordered hibachi chicken, beef noodles, spring rolls, house salad, and shumai. I was stuffed. If you're hungry, the all you can eat option makes the most sense. However, if you're trying to eat light, just order the entrees. Our server was friendly. My only recommendation is to not order food you cannot finish. I think most sushi all you can eat places charge a fee for wasted food. However, I had a little bit of leftover noodles and no fee was added. The waitress told me not to worry. I appreciated that. read more

We went to hot yoga right next door and craved AYCE sushi. We have never been in this area and we were in the car ready to leave then Ang's caught my eye. Saw their sign right before we drove off and went in. The restaurant is smaller than what we were used to but it made the experience a little more private. The service was great and they were very attentive. Literally everything was perfect. Sushi was amazing and so was every other food dish we ate. Seriously surprised that we haven't heard of this place before. It's definitely a sleeper AYCE in the area. Please try this place out, you will not be disappointed! EDIT: 5/8/23 You guessed it, we came back after a yoga session. We came at 8:45 and they were getting ready to close at 9:30. First and foremost, my boy Antonio really took care of us. This man was offering food to us at 9:29. 1 freaking minute before they closed! That is insanely crazy and very much appreciated. The food was epic like very first time and their steak is just so damn tender and juicy and perfectly medium rare. Shout out to my man Antonio for real, he's the real MVP at this restaurant. This is so, so painful (see previous review). Ang, please come back! We miss you dearly! I'll just keep this short because I'm getting heartburn reliving my last Ang's dinner. Forever. Unless Ang returns. Please! Ordered take out on Friday night. Seaweed salad tasted like the grocery store stuff. Boston roll was missing the mayo. Dry romaine lettuce (gone are the tender mixed greens), dry, chewy shrimp and dry rice - left an inedible bolus of unflavored goo in my mouth. The beautiful roll sounded good but there was no indication (unlike others on the menu) that it would be a fried roll so I was annoyed at that. Hubby's sweet potato roll had mayo on it. What?! The earthquake roll was the only decent looking thing that we got. I'm just sad. Ang's had the best sushi in the area. Now I'm open to suggestions... read more

I'm Japanese. The sushi restaurant here is excellent, with fresh fish, perfectly seasoned rice, and expertly crafted nigiri. The miso soup broth was incredibly flavorful. Surprisingly, even the fried rice was delicious, which is uncommon for a sushi place. A friend recommended it, and I can see why they love it so much; I'd definitely go back. Plus, it's rare to find sashimi on an all-you-can-eat sushi menu, so I left feeling completely satisfied. read more

Every time I dine here I am so amazed by each and every creation of sushi that this sushi place makes! The sushi is always hand made, you can see the chefs crafting the dishes and taking there time, not only on the flavor but also perfecting the aesthetic. I've tried damn near all the sushi dishes including sashimi, special rolls, appetizers. etc... Its always fresh, its always flavorful, its always creative. The chefs group flavors of sauces together that you wouldn't think will work. My first time trying the Crazy Ang's roll my wig flew to Dubai never to return. The customer service is also excellent here. My order is always correct, whether I call it in for pick up, or I simply decide to dine in after work. The waitress is always double checking my order for accuracy and even offering suggestions to my kid on how to eat with chop sticks lol. I love this restaurant and will continue to support it, I hope when you visit you will to. read more

New to the area but Ive tried Sushi King, Yama & Masa Sushi but this place beats them out of the water! Love the all you can eat, perfectly portioned salads, entrees, appetizers and rolls. Impressed with the cooks here, they're quick and very attentive to detail and flavor. Love that it's not too busy during the week days as well! The rolls aren't over packed with rice or too much fried dough. And coming from the south: the sweet tea is always SWEET! read more

First dinner of 2023: Ang's Sushi Bistro. Quaint, family run spot with fresh made to order sushi and other good eats too! They were out of chicken nuggets for my toddler. But he DEVOURED the chicken katsu. Great recommendation by our server who was also very friendly, accommodating and attentive. For 6:30pm on New Year's day, not bad at all. Came here on a Friday night were seated immediately and our food got to us relatively quickly for how short staffed they were. The food was excellent: we ordered the nigiri, shumai, spring rolls and a couple other things. All of it was excellent quality and generous portions. Our waiter was very kind and made sure all the guests and take away orders were promptly taken care of. Will be back! (much better than sushi king) read more

Chef Ang doesn't own this place anymore. It's got a new owner and management; it's all you can eat (or a la cart) now too. The menu and prices are all new. There seem to be a lot more rolls and none are more than $10. They also have some noodle and hibachi dishes. Several rolls can be made raw or cooked. I thought the lunch all you can eat was nicely priced at $11.99. The waitress was busy doing some work at the bar off and on. I had some plates on my table for a while, it wasn't busy at all. They seemed to get a little short with me (and want to walk away) when I ordered more. I can eat 3 rolls, ok?! Either way, I got my food fast and it was tasty and well made. The menu can be a little confusing since it has spelling errors, it also has lunch a la cart on one side with all you can eat on the other. My mackerel was pretty bland tasting, so I probably won't get that here again. The clear soup had lots of mushrooms. It was great. read more

I quite enjoyed Ang's Sushi Bustro. They offer good quality rolls for a pretty good price. The service here was also friendly and helpful without being overbearing as I have expirenced with other sushi places around Hampton Roads. The ginger dressing on the salad is the best I ever had. It has so much flavor. It was the first time I've ever been impressed with a side salad with ginger dressing. As for the rolls, they were beautifully put together. Nobody likes a sloppy sushi roll that falls apart when you pick it up with your chopsticks. They also had a nice ratio of filling to rice, and each of my spicy rolls had a kick without overwhelming heat. The dessert was a real treat. Fried Tempura Cheesecake. It was warm on the outside while being cool on the inside and maintaining the consistency of cheesecake on the inside. While I appreciated this, if you like your fried cheesecake to be warm on the inside as well let your server know so they can heat it up a bit longer. All in all, Ang's provides good quality food and service. read more

I generally love all you can eat sushi! This place looked promising! We came with our kids and from the second we walked in, the sushi chef(s) were staring at us like we were unwelcome. We ordered a few rolls, one of which had fresh jalapeño in it. I started with that, and it was way too spicy for me, which was my mistake. I had a hard time eating any of the rest of my rolls. My kids were starting to get restless, so we asked for the check with food still on our plates. The waitress asked us if we planned to take our sushi home, to which I said sure! She told me there would be an extra charge, so I then declined. She then told me there would a wasted food charge. I find this ridiculous for a few reasons - I would love to eat the food, but my kids were being loud and it was time to go. I wanted to finish my rolls but I was having a hard time because of the spice of my first. We didn't order an unreasonable amount of food for two adults. I don't appreciate the way the waitress treated my family and we will never return. read more

I am not gonna say much cause all the fake and real reviews are mixed up all in here (it's obvious, if you can see, some "good reviews" are attached under actual reviews.. which is weird) but ORDER TO GO instead of all you can eat cause they PURPOSELY mess up your fish:rice ratio, having to put little to almost non-existent pieces of fish in each piece of a roll, AND they FOR REAL reason out with you it's cause it's All you can eat, they don't put too much fish - saying it's the same at other all you can eat restaurants (which isn't true. I have worked at a sushi restaurant and have eaten at others, their sushi stays consistent) again, you've been warned. Come back to this comment and give it a thumbs up if you played yourself lol idk if it's the change in management over the years but this is definitely disappointing. read more
