What a fun find in Virginia Beach! My friend who has a shellfish and ground nut allergy is able to eat here, which is always a plus! She just asked about certain items and told the staff about her allergies and the restaurant accommodated. I love sushi and ordered the Sushi Matsu. It's a little pricey at $31.95 but has 8 nigri. I just realized that the menu says 9, so the chef forgot one (photo is just 8) plus a tuna roll. Friend got the salmon teriyaki and ate every bite. The food was excellent quality and certainly will come again for the fun seating (low booth with a space for feet below), quick service, yummy food and accommodated allergy requests!

This was my first time at this establishment , my grandson goes there a lot with his friend and his family. His friend actually works there , for the time we entered it was very welcoming, warming and attentive. The food was amazing we had several appetizers , sushi and entree I must say everything was 10/10

**Review Update: 06/26/2024** This has become our new go-to spot, and we visit much more frequently now. The staff, from the back of the store to the front, is always amazing, courteous, and kind. Whether I'm getting sashimi, sushi, or one of their many rolls, everything has always been fresh and delicious! They have the best ginger dressing I've ever had at any sushi place! If you're new to sushi, they'll answer any questions and explain anything with patience and kindness. This will continue to be our weekly dinner spot! I tried the Bento box for lunch today and it did not disappoint! I got the one with the Spicy Volcano, and my daughter had the Beef Teriyaki--both were delicious, and the beef was cooked to perfection!! They also have the best green tea in town; I always get the hot green tea!

Yuck. Grey tuna, overpriced, got the lunch special, the fish smelled old. Took one bite and spit it out. Will not return.

3.5 Stars - Rounding down This is a decent spot for sushi and other Japanese cuisine. It is right across from TCC VA Beach, where I take my classes. The interior is very cute and the service was friendly and patient. My friend took me here, as it is his favorite spot for sushi. He is a regular here. The booth we were sat in was unique to me. I haven't dined at a sushi restaurant with traditional Japanese-style seating. It was very cool! The server knew my friend very well and his exact order. They don't serve coffee, but they always kindly put on a pot for him that is usually for themselves! My friend gets the Philly Roll and the Volcano Roll. He is very fond of the food here, like I mentioned. He begged me to come try the food here for a long while. I went with an order of Shrimp Tempura and a Twin Tower roll. Unfortunately, I wasn't dazzled by the shrimp. It did not have much flavor. It was also really greasy. The Twin Tower roll has tempura shrimp in it as well. With the rice and crab salad, it became just decent. The shrimp by itself, however, was pretty disappointing. On a happier note, my sashimi was really fresh and melted in my mouth. I loveee salmon sashimi, and it was a hit for me. The yellowtail was new for me, and it was just as good as the salmon. These cuts of fish were savory and delicious. Next time, I'll try something else... I was sad because I am usually a big fan of tempura shrimp. But maybe I need to mix things up, or stick with my sashimi. I'm bound to come here again as my friend and I usually get out of class at the same time and we pick a spot for lunch.

This place is easy to miss, we walked right passed it. Went in for lunch on Saturday and we were the only customers. Not sure if they had to go orders but they didn't seem busy. The waiter was nice, and attentive. Food was ok.

This has become one of my go-to spots for sushi especially since it is near my house. I feel like they have definitely improved since my last review in 2020. The service is great and fast. It's clean inside. I like that they still have the Japanese traditional like booths where you can sit cross-legs. I even DoorDash a meal and the quality of food was still consistently good. The sushi tastes fresh and they have some of their own unique sushi rolls. If you ever thought this place was bad, come try again. I have been here several times these last few months and have been very impressed.

Yummy tempura udon soup. I also ordered my favorite, spicy tuna rolls.

Delicious food. I enjoyed my sushi and tempura udon soup. Everything was fresh and yummy. The attention and customer service was also outstanding. Excellent experience. I recommend this sushi restaurant.

Delicious, enjoyed the lunch special. Also ordered some sashimi which is no pictured. Enjoyed the environment and the staff was very nice.

I came here for dinner with some girlfriends. The service was great and I had a such a good time hanging with the girls. I just have my favorite spots and this one just didn't compare to it. The rice in proportion to the fish was a bit more than I prefer. The quality of the fish wasn't what I would say "sushi grade fish". We enjoyed our time but I'd only return if invited by a friend and I wouldn't choose this place as my top sushi preference.

Actually 3.5 stars for me. When my niece first started eating sushi, this was the place we always went to, and this is still one of her favorites. We came during a weekday for lunch. It's been awhile since I've been here, but the place wasn't as busy as I remembered. It could be because of the construction they have going on in the shopping center, looks like they're redoing the signs there. They have a great lunch menu here, and the prices are decent. I got the pick 2, with the shrimp tempura roll and the spicy tuna roll. My niece got her usual, the volcano roll (not spicy). The food came out quickly and my niece enjoyed every bite of hers and even took some of my shrimp tempura rolls. My meal wasn't bad, but it wasn't anything out of the ordinary for me.

    H3. Steak Hibachi... weak.
    Shannon C.

Hibachi portion was extremely small compared to what I'm used to. Rice looked and tasted like it came out of a rice cooker... not fried. Sauce container opened and spilled all over food. Sushi was so so. Not photo worthy. Won't order from here again.

The menu prices are a couple bucks more than other places I've tried, but keeping an open mind. I ordered the "Bento Special" it comes with soup, salad, rice, half calif roll and your choice of protein. I ordered the shrimp tempura. Also ordered side of salmon roll. The tago container gives a nice presentation. But let's move in to the food. The salad dressing was okay it seemed a little watered down not much flavor. Soup was good and tasty. California roll was fine. The assortment of tempura was nice, but you get 2pcs of shrimp. All in all the Bento Special was pretty okay! Now going on with my side of salmon roll. Well, I always take a pic so you all can see the ratio if rice and protein. And look st my pic. Too much rice! I had to even take some out of the roll. I will probably tell them half of rice in my sushi roll. All in all ...I will come back and try their other dishes, and make sure to tell them to cut down on the rice for the rolls.

That being said, I ordered from Sushi Vice. I'm not hating it. Before I placed my order with DoorDash, I actually called the restaurant and requested that they include cups of soy sauce and chopsticks, etc., because I was staying in the hotel. I only did this because if you order off DoorDash's menu, you cannot include Notes to the restaurant. It's ridiculous. With all that being said, I could not believe it when my order arrived it was exactly as I requested. It's not really a sushi joint. It's more of an Asian fusion type place and they have a very limited menu, but what they do have is very, very good. I highly recommend trying that beef fried rice thing. It's not a buffet. And you can order as much as you want, each time. For example, we have 4 adults in our party. My order will go like this: 2 rolls (6pcs per roll) of Spicy Girl, 1 roll of Philly, 1 plate of BBQ squid, 1 chicken yakisoba, 1 avocado salad. And all that's going to come to you. Next round, you order all new items, as much as you want. I'm an including photos of the lunch menu. You can order all you want, over and over, from everything on that menu photo. Are your starting to see the possibilities? Even at lunch, you have the option to use the dinner menu, which costs $5 or $10 per head. It gives you even more options and items. We haven't tried those yet. So we all are Asian food conisseurs. We like quality sushi. We like good Korean BBQ. We love good Japanese restaurants, so how does the food compare here? It's say it's pretty darn good for $19.99 per head, unlimited. The sushi is maybe 1 step above buffet sushi, but it's good. The Yakisoba is almost as good as a Japanese restaurant. The Miso soup is fully just as good. The shrimp tempura is not quite as good as a Japanese restaurant, but for this price and unlimited, yeah it's really decent. The Bbq squid is exquisite. I can't say enough about that. The chicken nuggets and fries were even good. Both servers we've had were Jonny on the spot with recording and drink refills. I mean both times I got 5 refills on the Diet Coke and never had to wait. Impressive. It's our new place after church and we rotate it between here and Chic-n-roll.
