This is a great in and out kind of poke place. You can see the protein preparation as you wait in line to grab your meal, that's how you know it's FRESH. They have options of a lighter meal, choose mixed greens as your base, or if you're starving, they have rice options as well (or have both! because why not). There are so many different types of fish and toppings, it's going to be hard to find something you don't like (sorry for the double negative ). They also have shaved ice (called bingsu in Korean) and it makes the perfect dessert after the meal. I tried the cereal one and I really liked it because it had a crunch to it. The only thing about this place is that parking is on the streets. But I'm a college student and I commute by bus and my legs so parking wasn't a problem for me. Route 45 or 73 takes you straight to this place so it was super convenient. It's only a 15 minute ride from the UW campus. Also, Green Lake is right by so if I ever go for a run nearby, I'll definitely come here for my post-workout meal. Thanks for the good food!! Oh one more thing. Their restrooms are conveniently designed so that you wouldn't have to wait in line if you only wanted to wash your hands. I like that. read more

Came here awhile ago and decided to finally write a review for this place! I just got the shoyu ahi ( I think that's what it was called). Overall, great fish and good quality, but the reason why it's a 4 stars is because of the portion and the price I had to pay. For around $11 it honestly was not as much as I expected compared to other poke places I've been to. Perhaps it was the day I went and the people who were working there, but I just felt like portions were smaller than other places. Still good food though! read more

Clean in the sense of flavor, design, customer service, and quality. I tried the tuna and salmon with the spicy mayo sauce and it was just the right amount of heat for me. Came here on a Saturday night for a quick dinner. The restaurant is spacious with a long counter where you could assemble your poke bowl chipotle style. For a small, you get two different kinds of fish and practically unlimited toppings. I was so full after! I decided to go with the half salad and half white rice base with salmon and albacore as the protein. I accidentally said I wanted all the toppings, not knowing that it would literally include corn or tofu. Unfortunately I have to give a 1 star review. While it tasted amazing. The price is ridiculous. I have been coming here since they opened. It used to be 12 bucks for a small and then it went to 14 bucks for a small. Which was still a bit high but I would pay it because it was yummy. But 20 bucks for a small is ridiculous and absolutely not worth how great the food is. You get exactly what you used to get for 6 bucks more. I understand inflation and having to raise prices by a dollar even 2 dollars but by 6 bucks. That's nuts. read more

Used to be my favorite go-to poke places in the area, but sadly this restaurant has to go. I normally order through uber, the first issue was they forgot my soda but I let it slide. Next issue, after couple of months, they made an error with the way I want my poke. It was packed when I came but I didn't have to wait long in line. The servers were very fast in getting orders. I loved that they're all smiling even though it was extremely busy. The location is perfect. Parking is on the street but there are plenty of spots around the area. This place is very trendy, from the wall colors, decors and the hanging light bulbs. There are so many Poke places to choose from now but what set Poke Fresh apart and made me want to try it was the Bingsu! First let's start with the poke. I chose a medium (3 scoops of protein) bowl with white rice. I did two scoops of tuna and one of salmon, added onions and combined the house ahi sauce and spicy mayo. As for toppings, I added crab salad, seaweed salad, corn, green onion, masago, furikake and fried onion. I really liked the presentation of the Poke, opposed to the regular black bowls most Poke places use. I like spicy, but for some reason it was a little too spicy than I've known some spicy mayos to be. Walking in, I did not know what bingsu was. I just knew that it looked amazing. I asked one of the workers and he explained that it was a shaved mixture of milk and condensed milk topped with your choice of fruit, cookies or cereal. We opted to do half strawberry and half cereal. There was a layer of strawberry purée in between and topped with strawberry sauce and condensed milk. It was pretty good, I would love to try the oreo bingsu next time. The establishment was clean and bright (great for pictures ) will definitely return for more Poke and bingsu! read more

My fiancé and I usually go to Heart Beet Cafe, which is located right next to Poke Fresh. We noticed this new place and I decided to give it a try today. I was warmly greeted upon entering by three staff members. I asked if the seafood was responsibly sourced, to which he confirmed yes. He very patiently explained to me the process and was extremely accommodating. I visited on a Monday afternoon around 11:30 AM and there was nobody else inside, but he said it can get quite busy during the Roosevelt high school lunch hour rush. I'd like to begin this review with a caveat that I am from Hawaii and have very high expectations for poke. I was very impressed with the quality and quantity of food for the price of $9.50 for a small bowl (which is plenty of food; any size larger would be overeating in my opinion, unless you're a Sumo Wrestler or just ran a marathon). I added avocado for an additional $.75 and it was a decent portion. With tax, the total came out to $11.30. The flavors were delicious and I felt quite satisfied after finishing. They even provide complementary hot black tea. I can't wait to come back here with my fiancé as we love spicy ahi tuna. The space is really adorable, simple and classy with plenty of seating space, and the staff is very friendly and helpful. They even offer brown rice and greens in the bowl! I highly recommend this new cool kid eatery on the block! If management is reading this, I do have one suggestion: please use compostable bowls and utensils, and offer reusable washable bowls if folks are dining in. The plastic bowls seem quite wasteful, even if they are recyclable. (Plastic is only recyclable if food waste is washed out.) I was quite surprised to find plastic bowls in a seemingly sustainable Seattle eatery. Just my two environmental cents! read more

The guy worked there was so rude and so disrespectful. He does not seem like he wants to work there at all. He didn't greet us or ask if we want anything at all. We had to repeat our choices of food so many times because he didn't seem to care or bother to listen. He was rushing us and he didn't even close the lid properly after checkout. We have been to this poke place a lot because we live close, but he gave us the smallest portion of protein we've had. He kept throwing the scoops for food after he used it with such an awful attitude. The owner should definitely get rid of him for your own benefit. It was my first time ordering food from this restaurant. The staff were nice and friendly and it is an advantage that the restaurant works until late hours. However I am not very satisfied with the food I ordered. I ordered spicy tuna poke ($9.99 Spicy Tuna Bowl). The quality was ok but it definitely wasn't worth the price. I could barely find tuna fish in my meal and it mostly contained white rice. It also didn't have green chopped onions on top if that as it said in the menu. Was invited by a friend to the opening, and I'm so glad I went! They have thick, fresh cuts of fish that go so well with their sauces and toppings. I went with the salmon and tuna on top of rice and salad, glazed with spicy mayo. I also had a strawberry shaved ice. It's not a traditional Korean dish, more Americanized with cereal toppings or oreos. No mochi or bean powder. Still very good, not too sweet, and a good finish to the poke. Service was amazing, people were very friendly, and it was a great experience. I will definitely return. Notes: they have private bathrooms, street parking, counter seating. Went to their opening today and they made a splash. Their salmon cubes were nice, soft and sizeable. You know youre eating salmon. It says a lot when places that serve fresh fish leave the pieces large. They want you to taste it. If you're still reading this I would recommend my favorite way to get a poke bowl: salmon, spicy tuna (if they have it), ALL their topping, just get in there and get it all. And for the base half-half never fails, got the fresh veggies and the warm rice. Lastly, their bingsu is milky and icy goodness. Soft, flaky and gives you a nice brain freeze at the end. read more

The guy who was working tonight might be one of the rudest people I've encountered and that says a lot since I'm in the industry. Greeted me with a "what do you want" and an eye roll. What a great addition to a growing neighborhood. The first time I walked in one of the employees was actually slicing up the salmon which is always a great sign. This is your typical poke bar setup where u basically choose a size of your bowl, choose your protein and then choose your toppings. All of.the meets and veggies are really fresh and there are about 6 different sauces to choose from. I tend to like the house wasabi and asiann sweet and spicy sauces the best.
