Have to update because of recent experiences. Giving them 3 Stars. Always fresh Poke. This is the bowl almost same as a plate. Love that it's a quick spot for fresh Poke. Customer Service is not out of this world just ok. It's not a sit and dine place. Don't like that they close their doors before posted closing hour of 6pm. By the time I get here after work it will be 5:30-5:45pm and they are CLOSED! This has happened on too many occasions. But I still come back. Giving 3 Stars because they close before their closing time.

I've been coming here for years, and I must say they are the only one that are very close to authentic Hawaiian style poke. Fresh and delicious. The Kama'aina Plate with lau lau & kalua pork with fresh Ginger Poke. The lau lau is a little salty, but the meat was tender. Kalua Pork was so moist and juicy. The Poke was as close to oyster sauce style as I could get. Mini cubes were nice and fresh. they only had a couple with that white connective tissue. Took a pic of their Musubi lineup but did not buy any. But I've noticed that the service has gone down lately. The new worker just doesn't have the warmth and welcoming attitude that the previous workers. There are a couple of stools if you want to eat in, but most are takeout orders.

Came last week & the value is good for the price but the shoyu tuna didn't have much flavor & didn't taste as fresh as the other flavors. The rice was also more on the dry/rough texture which is not to my tasting

Poke Etc is the spot for fresh poke and they never disappoint. This has been my favorite place since their Cerritos location. There's no seating available at the restaurant, so we had to take everything to go, but it was still just as good. We got the Hawaiian Cali, our all-time favorite, with shoyu salmon and spicy mayo. The shoyu salmon was a little too salty for my liking but still tasty, and the spicy mayo had a really good kick to it. The serving was also very generous, which made it even more satisfying.

FANTASTIC FIX if you're craving poke like how they do it in Hawaii and don't want all those extra sides!! Very helpful staff! They offered samples and gave generous portions--makes it really a bang for your buck and reasonably priced. Very easy parking too, just no dine-in options. If I lived closer, I'd be here all the time!

Quick service and fair portions! Plenty of flavor options; I always go for the spicy mayo but Hawaiian Cali is good too! Small shop but they also sell Filipino and Hawaiian goodies.

I've been coming to Poke Etc. for about 4 years, and the food has always been fire. Not gonna lie, a few months ago it felt like it was losing a little flavor, but they definitely made a comeback. The spicy mayo poke is my favorite, along with the kimchi tako and the spam musubi. The service is solid -- the people are cool, some are more talkative than others, but always chill. This spot is small, but that's what makes it special. Only real poke heads know about it. I love it here!!!!

Im not mad at this place at all. I forgot the flavor that I got but I was impressed for sure. The taste and portion was super fair in my opinion. What I liked about this place is they didn't go crazy with anything and kept it very simple. Included was just the poke and rice.

Was in the area and craving poke so I stopped by here for the first time..I got salmon poke. It was completely drenched with spicy mayo. Hard to taste the salmon when all I could taste is spicy mayo. I do love spicy mayo but it was over the top drenched lol. To top it off, it did give me a really upset stomach so maybe salmon wasn't fresh. Service was just ok.

4/5 Customer Service, the young lady charging was nice and welcoming. 4/5 Store Cleanliness 2/5 Flavor and quality of food Had the combo plate with 2 different Poke's (Spicy Mayo Salmon and Sweet and Spicy Tuna) and added Mac on the side. First off the seaweed salad that comes with it was warm. I ate maybe 3 min after leaving the store, so no reason for that to be that warm, decided to just throw away. The spicy Mayo salmon poke was just okay, the fish tastes pretty good, not the freshest I've had and the sweet and spicy tuna was just bland... nothing sweet or spicy about it. The Mac salad was also bland. All together the total was a little over $22.00 Unfortunately, stomach isn't feeling too good after eating. Not sure if I'll be trying again. Maybe came on an off day..

Snacky time for cuz. They had a decent selection. The place was clean & well organized. We got SPICY MAYO AHI to go. It was decent. I was not a fan of the smell of the poke to go or the place.

I've always been the type to only get the California Rolls at a sushi place and when I felt a little adventurous I would get the occasional rainbow roll, so I came into Poke Etc. with a coworker with not much expectation of getting anything. As soon as the nice employee gave me a sample of the California poke, I was HOOKED. The poke was nice and fresh had an amazing flavor! Definitely coming back to try the others soon!

A coworker recommended Poke Etc, and I have not stopped going ever since. It is clean, quick and simple. It is take-out only. I usually get the Poke bowl, which tastes really fresh. They have different food items on the menu and many snacks and other things at the store. Menu prices are reasonable. It is near my workplace, but I even take the drive when I am not working and feel like eating Poke.

I have been trying to call to ask if you are open on Thursday, 11/24/22?

Sadly like many other businesses that are privately owned small food businesses, they will either have a full inbox 24/7 or completely ignore calls. it's not ideal but has become the norm unfortunately

    Is this open?

This place is definitely open. They're only closed Sundays.

For the Poke bowls, select your bowl size, pick two from the four or so fish choices, a base (rice or salad), and for most bowls a side or two. After several visits, my experience has been fine each time. Good quality fish and fresh sides. There are also some plate options where you can select Huli Chicken or Kalua Pork. I've tried both the chicken and pork (though not on the plate option), and both were excellent. This location used to be strictly take-out, but now there are two tables inside if you'd like to sit inside. I feel compelled to mention that when I recently visited this location, they had a health grade of B from LA County displayed in the window. Yelp shows that they had 14 health code violations on September 18. Usually, I don't show too much concern for these health scores, but when a restaurant's primary product is raw fish, a lower score gets my attention.

I was a fan of their El Segundo location but I believe it is gone. This place had about 5 or 6 different fresh poke styles available during our visit. We tried the Hawaiian, the Creamy Garlic Crunch, and the Sweet and Spicy. We also ordered the Chips and Smoked Ahi Dip, and the Huli Chicken Bowl. I think I loved everything. The Creamy Garlic Crunch poke was especially amazing. It had a slight spicy kick to it and it was rich and delicious. The chips that came with the dip were obviously freshly-made wontons and I could have eaten a hundred of them. The dip was good but not as flavorful as I had hoped or had in the past. For the chicken bowl, the rice and cucumbers that came with the chicken were excellent. You get a ton of mac salad and it is excellent. The chicken was solid, too. Unless they are hiding in plain sight, the places that just sell fresh poke, without the bowl, are few and far between in Southern California. I love poke bowls, too, but sometimes the poke by itself (with the different sauces and seasoning) is just incredible. This spot serves delicious fresh poke and I will always be a fan.

I've tried a good handful of poke spots in the last few months but none really made me want to go back -- I'm very picky, especially when it comes to consuming raw fish. I'm so glad it did! I ordered a small, and I'll say they were VERY generous with the portions and sauces. What they gave me would be considered a medium or large in my old city! The quality of the fish was incredible as well. The fish was fresh and diced in good sizes, and I appreciated that the sauces didn't overpower the flavor of the fish. The rice was cooked perfectly, and I was extremely happy with the portion of imitation crab they provided -- most places I've been to are stingy with the imitation crab, but Sweet Salty gave me a portion as big as the rice scoop, and I was thrilled! I have been to Hawaii. A friend of mine won a give away by stuffing a ballot box at a grocery…read morestore, and then he gave me the plus one ticket. Was it a trip gotten via ill ways? Back then I did not think of that. And now that I do, I say the breeze of Hawaii would help anyone understand that what he did was a youth Indiscretion, like going for a swim in the cloak of darkness while only wearing a lei. Going to Back Home in Lahaina was not a trip back to the Big Island, I won't say that, but it was a moment of joy inspired heavily by a Hawaiian decor that both bordered on the tragically kitsch and the whimsically fun depending on where you stood or sat. But the true treasure of this Hawaiian micro-isle is their fare-- no doubt about that. After the meal my friend Conrad and I went to the front of the house, where they have the to go section. This is where the kitsch became most circus-y. Although, I did not clip everyhing, I did clip a make your own lei kit, hawaiian stickers, and other things that make the place feel like a tourist trap for Hawaiian hopefuls. For me, the tawdry lessened the impact of the Aloha I heard from the dining room. In sharp contrast, the main dining room had this mural of a whale coming out of deep blue water with Hawaiian florals on the edge of the land that was more transportive to the land where coconuts fall from palm trees and hula skirts are a must for every closet. The main room dining room also had these string lights and sphere paper lamps that made me feel like I was eating at a night market where I could see the stars of a Hawaiian skiy but it was both day time, and there was a roof above me. The food was the situation that needs to be address though, with great respect and admiration because almost every bite was supremely good. My friend Conrad and I first shared a Lahaina Platter- basically their appetizer platter or to be Hawaiian their pupu platter, and please do not go for the easy joke it is not that funny and really kind of base and gross, if the wrong person is making it. The must of the spot, unsurprisingly, is their Lahaina fried chicken. The chicken was crispy, flavorful, and kind of like karage chicken but different with the spices and flavors and ocean fronts of Hawaii. I know I did not make sense but I gotta believe that Hawaiian culture made the dish great and Hawaiian culture is partly define by waterfront property. My favorite things from the dish were the Lumpia which are often described as Filipino eggrolls. The pork meat was flavorful, the paper wrapping was on point, like wonderfully thin yet still structurally strong, not crispy, more firm with crisp. The Cinderella story of the day was the spam musubi. The saltiness of the seaweed was present but not in an overblown way, the sweetness of their teriyaki sauce carried savory notes that uplifted the sweet notes, in a wonderful way, their sticky rice was textbook fluffy and fabulous. Overall, I would nitpick flaws. And for this review I do not feel like finding the wrong cracks on a whole coconut skin. My main dish was their bbq grilled chicken plate. I could not finish everything at the restaurant. I had cold left overs at home and they hit the spot in this way that really earned my respect, because cold left overs still holding strong that is like seeing a shooting star while you enoy Mai Tais in a white beach---- living the improbable dream. What was best out of the bunch was their Lahaina chicken. And again, even though the fried goodness had withdrawn, the flavor and textured that remained was still, in a way, intact and in some ways optimal. I just shivered admitting that. I was happy with the food overall, and want to communicate that it was a strong showing for a place that sits within a strip mall. Do not just a shore by the lack of its crashing wave sounds. I also love the name of this place. Like I went back to Lahaina, has personality. Like it is a name that drips from the tongue even though it is long. Pluis, saying multiple times in a conversation makes the place feel important. Conrad had some cheesecake with jello and he loved it. I did not try it, but it was unique and I did not think such a dessert existed. The crust was walnut, I would have thought it would be Macadamia. I definetetly love this place and want to back again soon!
