Definitely will be one of my favorite restaurants in Duluth. I've tried and tasted many poke bowls in ATL but by far this place is the best. I've been going to this place for lunch literally every other day since they opened and every time I go there they make me want to come back for more. Service is great, clean atmosphere and most of all their food quality is always very fresh. I personally love eating poke bowl with their miso soup on the side. I also do routine workouts and watch my diet, therefore restaurants that I can go to in Duluth are very limited. Now I'm very happy that I have one more place to go for my healthy diet. read more

I chose a medium bowl with the half and half base - brown rice and spring mix. I was allowed three proteins so I chose spicy tuna, salmon, and shrimp topped with cucumber, pineapple, and seaweed salad. First time trying poke. It's kinda like a subway sandwich shop how you order and what you get is like a deconstructed bowl of sushi. I la la la loved the food. Deducted 1 star because we told them that we had never been there before and we had to keep asking questions. A tiny bit of guidance would have been appreciated rather than just scooting the bowl to the next station and standing there. It was weird. This is my go to place when I want something fresh to eat. They have many locations around the city, but this is the closest. It kinda reminds me of a subway where you can see all the ingredients and you just tell the person what to put in it. They have a lot of toppings and varieties to choose from! I ordered three meals and Basically they serve you a bowl of rice, I ordered three proteins I could've counted the small sliver of pieces on one hand buried in the rice it was like searching for Waldo. First time trying a Poke bowl. Had a craving after doing a 10-day detox cleanse. Poke Bar did not disappoint! The gentleman who greeted me explained the process. I had a half spring mix, half rice. Added spicy tuna, albacore tuna, corn and edename. For the sauces, I added shoyu, sesame oil and spicy mayo. The salads we're crab salad and seaweed. I added avocado, masago and crispy garlic as the toppings. It smelled so good on my way home. As soon as I sat down, I sampled every portion of the bowl and before I knew it half of it was gone! It was so good! I could taste every flavor! The fish was fresh, the masago popped while the crispy garlic was crunchy. The avocado cooled the spicy tuna and spicy mayo. Their atmosphere has a little bit of "Hollywood celebrity restaurant" to it but the staff are very friendly and their ingredients are also pretty good. They offer a healthy choice of mains and sauces as well as offering rice or spring mix bases. The place can get a little cluttered on weekends though so do plan accordingly, they don't have much space. read more

My first time trying out this restaurant cause I love eating sushi. I was very disappointed and gave 2 stars. Choice was either salmon or tuna and both was not fresh at all. Tuna did not have tuna taste, almost taste like it was washed or soaked in water for long time. Rice was not cooked properly (partially uncooked). They had a bit of everything which made it mouth watering. Your choice of two proteins (I chose spicy tuna and scallops) you add in some veggies like cucumber, corn, onions, seaweed, sauces, maybe some massago, topped with crispy onion/garlic, and finished off with some wasabi and ginger. The food, service, and atmosphere at the Poke Bar was excellent. The problem sits outside at a table in front of the entrance. There was a guy sitting outside smoking cigarettes the entire time we were at the Poke Bar. He was not eating anything, and was dressed too nice to be an employee. We suspect he was either the owner or manager. The next morning when we drove by, he was sitting outside the Poke Bar smoking before they opened for business. Saw this place with a coming soon banner for so long and it finally opened!! I was super excited and came with some friends. It was a the grand opening so everything was half off. We can around 7:30 and it was empty but after we finished ordering and sat down more people came it. I was glad that more people came because the place itself was very small but sleek in the interior design. The color scheme is black and orange with gives it a good pop of color. There are many options to pick from for the food. A small size consist of two scoops of any protein, a medium is three scoops and a large scoop is a four scoops. You get to choose brown rice, white rice, spring mix, and nacho as a base. The proteins were tuna, salmon, albacore spicy tuna, scallop, shrimp, octopus, and tofu. The protein is then mixed with your choice is corn, jalapeño, edamame, cilantro, kale, cucumber, sweet onion, green onion, or pineapple. You also get to choose two sides of either cucumber salad, seaweed salad, or imitation crab salad. They also have around 8 sauces and they have a sauce 101 paper that has description of each one. There are also toppings that can be added. The service staff was amazing and very patient and helpful since it was our first time. The food was really amazing, fresh, super flavorful and filling.
