Bottom Line: I'd only recommend this place if you're already hanging at Town Green(Downtown Duluth). Decent food but a bit pricier than what I think it's worth. The building itself is called the Sweet Octopus. It seemingly houses four different businesses(although they may just be four distinct menus with the same business): Poke Burri, Lifting Noodles Ramen, Thai & Sushi, and Empanadas House(second floor). The first two menus are served inside on the first floor. I'm not sure about the Thai & Sushi Menu. I thought I saw on the online menu that you could create your own sushi burrito, but the menu at the restaurant only has custom poke bowls. Go online to their website to see the Secret Menu. I would have tried the sushi pizza from that menu but I was ordering takeout, so maybe next time. Atmosphere: Very nice and comfortable. Outdoor seating available, plenty of natural sunlight indoors, medium noise level from the kitchen, very spacious. Strings of lightbulbs hanging from the ceiling. Food: I got an order of Fried Gyoza for my appetizer. Four pieces for with gyoza sauce for $5 was a fair price. The dough was a bit stale and the sauce was more sweet than I'm used to, but the pork filling was great. I got the $16 Best of the Best Burrito for my entree. I feel like they could drop the price a few bucks. $16 for what I got didn't really seem worth it. Another review said the burritos were the size of egg rolls. They're definitely bigger than that. Mine filled me up. The fish tasted pretty fresh to my surprise. On the other hand, it wasn't that tender. I pulled a long strip of salmon out of the burrito with my teeth because I couldn't bite into it. It was also so sweet. Looking at the ingredients, it should not be sweet. I didn't like it very much. If it were better, I'd still find a $12-$13 price tag more reasonable. Service: There wasn't much to say about this as it was a fast food restaurant. The server was an average server. I didn't bother checking the cleanliness of the tables since I ordered takeout. My food came out in a reasonable amount of time. Overall: I do agree this place is slightly overpriced, but that was just for my burrito. The poke bowls definitely looked very overpriced. I wouldn't come for those. This entire area is meant to stroll through to relax. If you're already here, the sushi burrito can be fun for kids or a date. That's what I would recommend you visit this restaurant for. If you're looking for a poke bowl, you can very likely get a good bowl elsewhere for a much lower price. Definitely wouldn't go out of my way for this place if I were craving sushi but out of rare convenience, I would. read more

I heard of and checked out Poke Burri due to a Yelp event initially but decided to come back a week later to give the business a real dine-in experience shot. I think the sizes are small considering their prices. The food, however, tastes amazing. Although small, the poke bowl had the appropriate amount of each topping, sauce, and flavors to balance it out. I felt as though I could taste each item in the bowl, which isn't typical of dishes like this. Sometimes sauces are too overwhelming that you don't taste everything in the bowl. Sometimes there's too many toppings that you don't really know what you're eating. But Poke Burri did a great job of portioning out their bowl and putting quality toppings in there. At first glance I thought there wasn't enough variety. I'm used to filling my poke bowls with as many toppings as possible. I learned here that quality is definitely better than quantity. I ordered the Super Poke and opted for salad mix instead or rice. The bowl consisted of a salad mix, tuna, salmon, spicy tuna, wasabi, seaweed salad, carrot, cucumbers, ginger, edamame, and pickled radish. The cuts of fish are the biggest cuts I've ever received out of all poke places I've ever eaten at. I could tell right away that the fish offered here is fresh and good quality fish. You won't be disappointed with your protein here. Even the spicy tuna was a generous scoop size and perfect spice level. Overall, I was very pleased with my meal. I looked over the menu, and I did think prices are on the pricier end especially for the portion size, BUT you get what you pay for, and Poke Burri does not disappoint with their food quality. Although small, I still left feeling full- maybe because their fish portions are generous. They also offer sushi burritos and donuts too, which I hope to try another time. And.. to top it off, it's in a great location in downtown Duluth so you can go for a walk outside before or after eating. Or you could even eat outside and enjoy the weather. As others have noted, there's nothing on the storefront that would suggest the establishment is a Poke Burri; look for the "Sweet Octopus" sign. The restaurant itself seems to be a hodgepodge of smaller restaurants, all under one roof, and indeed under one menu. It's confusing as heck, but I guess it works. The poke bowl was pretty good, and contrary to others I thought the portions were decent for the price. Service was very friendly and reasonably quick. The seating indoors is austere and has zero ambiance, but the outdoor seating is pretty nice. I like that it's right next to a courtyard and on a walking street where there's a lot going on when you're done eating. read more

This place is called SWEET OCTOPUS, so look for the sign that says SWEET OCTOPUS and not Poki Burri. Food was delicious! I ordered takeout and was not disappointed. The location is beautiful as there is outdoor seating and outdoor space. I got the spicy tuna nachos, and the tuna was TRULY spicy and they were so filling. It came with fresh avocado spicy tuna and two different sauces layered on top. It should be shared as an appetizer or as a meal for one person but I was too hungry and had it to myself . I also got the EAV burrito and it was also delicious. Everything was fresh tasting and flavorful. I was unable to finish it and am looking forward to leftovers. Food was delicious and a good sized portion. I got a build your own Poke bowl and the person I was with got a sushi roll. The menu showed empanadas but when you go to order, it isn't available to order on the first floor. You have to go onto the 2nd (I believe it's a different business so that's why??). Not a big deal but I didn't care enough to do that lol. You get a number and can sit, they'll bring the food to you. Clean, basic but cute interior. I guess I'm the first to rate this place! So, saw this pop up as new on Door Dash and was hesitated to try. I've had a hard time finding a poke place that I really liked since I moved here from VA. Let me tell you, does not disappoint. This is real Poke and real, whole ingredients. Beets, carrots, edamame, cabbage, avocado, seaweed salad. A whole rainbow of colors. The sauce is light, not dousing the whole bowl like so many places. Alright, so the fish. Fresh and high quality. So many places have just okay fish. But this is the real deal. The spicy tuna is that mashed up stuff so many places use, but really, big chunks of tuna with a spicy sauce. I got the 'super' poke bowl and it's enough for lunch and dinner. Highly recommend!
