We went on Christmaa Eve. We called ahead to inquire about their business hours for the day and to see if they required a reservation for a large group. They told me no resy was necessary. We walked in and they already had the table set for us! They have a huuuuge group area so it'd be perfect for a large parties! The restaurant was really well decorated with Dragon Ball Z things! We surprised my nephew who is obsessed with Dragon Ball Z for his birthday. Needlessly to say, he LOVED it! It was my in laws first time trying Vietnamese food and they enjoyed it a lot! We got the kids pho tai, bun bo hue, lemongrass chicken dumplings, piccolo green Thai tea, strawberry milk tea, etc. I was surprised that the portions for the kids and regular were similar! Bottom Line: I would not recommend this location. The food is just about average and overpriced and the service was careless. Bear in mind, I visited this location back in June of 2024 but just forgot to make this review. I am still basing this review on the detailed notes I take at every restaurant, but take this review with a grain of salt as things may have changed in the year and a half it has been since I visited this location. (PS: According ti their online menu, their prices have increased since my visit) Atmosphere: Medium-light ambience. Dragon Ball themed decorations. Tables are very close together so not a good restaurant for an intimate meal as you can clearly hear every conversation around you. Food: For appetizers we got the Goi Cuon / Shrimp Fresh Spring Rolls ($4.95). This was the only decent thing we had. Ingredients were fresh, the sauce had good flavor, and was reasonably priced. I got the Pho Dac Biet ($15.95). This dish was very disappointing to me. It was a new experience to get the noodles and meat on the side. I guess they want you to put it in yourself so that the noodles would be fresh and not soggy? Or it may be another gimmick to "build it yourself" for entertainment. Either way, I wasn't a fan of this style of serving. Just bring it to me assembled with the vegetables on the side like other Vietnamese restaurants. Besides that, the dish overall was just bad. Two important components to pho: Rich broth and bouncy noodles. The broth was very subpar and the noodles were terrible. Not the standard vermicelli you would get with traditional pho. No bounce, way too soft, not enjoyable at all, and not filling. My companion got the Com Bo Luc Lac / Rice with Sauteed Shaking Beef (Filet Mignon) ($17.95). There wasn't much to say about this dish. The beef was decently tender, but it lacked flavor. Overall the dish was pretty bland. Service: This is what had me upset. My companion and I put our orders in together at the same time. It took almost 20 minutes to get my order. I'm the type to not start on my meal until everyone at the table gets their food. Another 20 minutes pass and my companion had not gotten her food yet. I asked the waiter how long it was going to take. He asked what she ordered and said he would ask the kitchen. Another 15 minutes later, he brought out her food. I suspect that they somehow forgot about her order, put it in again, and then made us wait for the chef to cook it. In total, we waited about 40 minutes to get all of our food. By the time my companion got her food, my pho was already lukewarm. Overall: I would not recommend this restaurant. I would only be happy to pay the price they charged me for my pho only if it were quality, even average pho. The food overall was subpar. The service was careless. You're not paying for good food, you're paying for the gimmicks. Dai Loi 3 is a much better option read more

This place is the definition of a hole in the wall. They bring out all of the different noodle dishes in a very unique presentation, which is a steaming hot Clay pot bowl while the noodles, veggies, and meat all come in the side and then you can add everything in. I really like this because it keeps everything hot. The flavor in this place was phenomenal, it wasn't too sweet or too salty, my Bun Bo Hue had a very clean, but meaty taste. The only downside is they don't offer different sizes for their dishes, and I would prefer a large size since I tend to eat a little bit more. read more

Our best find of the year so far. The chicken banh mi has actual roast pieces of chicken taken off drumsticks. And is delicious. The beef betel leaf banh mi is incredibly cool. Super unique, I've never seen it on another menu at a Vietnamese place in America. Inside the banh mi there's these little rolled up wraps of shredded beef inside of betel leaf. They look like Greek dolmades. And even the beef wasn't over cooked -perfect medium rare. Even the Thai tea was better than most places. Not watery at all and really strong. It's absolutely bizarre how good this place is considering they have the quirky Dragon Ball z theme that makes you think the food probably won't be great. read more

Great spot for those who love Dragon Ball Z. I recently dined at Super Banh Mi Pho with my family and had a great experience. We ordered 4 bowls of pho and spring rolls. I love that the broth and the pho ingredients came separated, so you can add whatever you want into the steaming hot broth. The rice noodles looked hand made and were perfectly cooked. This place is surprisingly really, really good! I went on Saturday with my husband around 7pm. This was our first time trying Super Banh Mi Pho, and it did not disappoint. We ordered a spring roll, oxtail pho, and Bánh Mì. I was initially worried the oxtail pho might be unseasoned, but I was pleasantly surprised. The pho was so flavorful, and the sandwich was absolutely delicious. I dipped my sandwich in the pho, and it was 100 times better. Andy was super nice and had a great conversation with us. Came here during MLK weekend and it was busy. Our host was great about checking in on us when it was our turn for a table. Space is small so there may be a wait. Decor is what sets them apart since the theme is Dragon Ball so there's many figurines and wall art used. Space is very limited but it moves quickly. Service was minimal as it's mostly self served but the staff is nice. Our entrees were tasty and I loved the stone bowl for my BBH (Spicy Vietnamese beef noodle soup) since it kept my broth HOT just the way I like it. Broth was also SUPER flavorful and yummy. First I need to make note that the menu on Yelp and google are outdated. It's a much more focused menu they have now. You can self order at the counter or sit at a table and QR code order/pay on your phone. I really like the convenience and ease of use. Now to the important stuff. PHO! It's freaking delicious. Not mind blowing but quite delicious. The broth is not overly sweet like most places or bland like Americanized places. The color alone speak for the depth of flavor. The real winner is the noodles. Most places give you the smaller noodles which is easily the most bare minimal effort noodle to prepare. These noodles take in more flavor of the broth, has the springiness with each bite, and so damn slurpable. I had to order an extra portion of noodles. Oh yeah, stone bowl isn't just a gimmick. It does enhance the eating experience. As for the extras the place has a chill vibe. The service was impeccable because the guys are so attentive and I can feel that they care about your experience there. They offer free iced green tea on tap which reminds me of how it be in Vietnam but in a much cleaner environment. Plus DBZ stuff everywhere. What a little gem! My husband is a huge Dragon Ball Z fan so I knew eventually we wanted to patronize this restaurant but it is about an hour from where we live. This morning we were going to be in the area, finally our time to experience Super Banh Mi Pho. Upon entering you are greeted by an amazing statue of Super Saiyan Blue and surround with various tributes to the show. We truly appreciated the ambiance forged from all the memorabilia and the detailed murals. Service was quick and courteous. We dined in where you scan the QR code and order from your phone; our food was brought out within 10 minutes. The food was classic Vietnamese comfort food and did not disappoint in any way. The milk tea came in a fun reusable cup; I ordered the Thai Tea flavor while good, not my favorite (tasted a little watered down) but hoping to try the brown sugar next time and the banh mi was one of the best I've had since in Georgia. Nice outside crunch and soft pull on the baguette with traditional ingredients made this an instant flavorful favorite. The spring rolls with sauce was a perfect starter - classic. My kids are huge anime fans so when I heard about this place it was a must do! This restaurant was easy to find and parking was ok. Upon entering I was thinking hmm smaller than I thought but super excited to see all the Dragon Ball Z characters! They were also showing Dragon Ball Z on the TVs. I also ordered the Seafood Pho, and Shrimp Spring Rolls. The seafood included shrimp, calamari, and I think scallops. I really enjoyed the broth and vegetables but I wasn't a big fan of the calamari. Next time I will just order the vegetable Pho. Anyhoo I spent about maybe $30 which wasn't too bad. Will I be back ? Absolutely! The bun bo hue is interesting, it comes in one of those sizzling clay pots that keep the food hot and helps cook the food. They serve some of the meats and noodles on the side, so you can put it into the soup yourself. Never had BBH served like this before, so my party liked it. Taste was pretty decent. Took awhile for the food to come out though and it wasn't too busy. Banh mi sandwich was very good. I was already almost full, but kept wanting to have more bites of it. I had intended to take the banh mi to go, but ended up eating half of it before I left. The dragonball theme was pretty cool, fans would probably like checking out the place at least once. My husband got the P1 and I got P3(i think, I know I got oxtail) Food was great and tasty!!!:D but it was kinda messy. ***We had to put the toppings in ourselves and it's a GREAT concept because you add the amount and choose the toppings that you want in your bowl but it was kinda hard to put in the pho noodles and toppings into the bowl with wooden chopsticks. I wish they consider TONGS to pick up the noodles and toppings. The spoons to drink the broth was too small to use and the spoon kept falling in my bowl. The menu doesn't say what toppings will be in your food, it only says the meat and food title. I wish their menu can have a little more detail on what comes with the food. Me and my guest started with lemon pepper wings and shrimp spring roll. Both were savory and delicious we couldn't wait for the entrees. We both chose the Oxtail Pho. The meat was cooked to perfection and the broth had so much flavor. This place puts the broth with the meat in a hot stone bowl which will help keep the food hot longer. In addition, the noodles, bean sprouts, Thai Basil, & all the fixings come on a separate plate and not in the bowl. This allows you to choose what to put in your Pho. Lastly, their smoothies and fruit drinks are incredible. I tried their pineapple fruit tea and the strawberry smoothie. Parking- plenty available parking for you. For my experience it was kinda messy. The food overall was pretty good but they ran out of a lot of things on a Tuesday afternoon at 3pm. The kids wanted egg rolls ( which I think is pretty popular at a Vietnamese restaurant) they also ran out and they were pretty bummed about it. I settled for the Com tam dac biet. And to my surprise they gave me that pork chop with no real utensils. I asked for some and they brought out the plastic ones. I struggled cutting it with plastic knife for sure. Taste wise it was really good. They could have used better place and sauces bowl because that thing is so tiny, the waitress when gave me the food said " I know it's shallow so if you need more fish sauce just let me know". The pho was good too. The hot stone bowl kept it nice and warm. Kid size pho was a big portion. The goi cuon was ok but confusing. I saw a picture of a whole display of it for us to roll ourselves and asked the waitress if that what it would look like and she said yes. But it came out as the pic I posted. Also side note, they don't know their ingredients in the boba tea. I'm allergic to green tea and they couldn't figure out what kind of tea they used ( green tea, black tea or white tea). So I didn't get to try their boba. The kids like it though. 4 stars because there are things to improve but honestly everything we ordered tasted good. This place is so good! I never venture to this side of Norcross but I should! Along with all the pho, bun, and banh mi dishes, I spied the this crispy Vietnamese crepe called bánh xèo. It is a must if you ever see it on the menu because you have to eat it right after it's made to enjoy the crispy outer layer. It did not disappoint! Folded inside the crispy hot yellow shell were bean sprouts, pork, shrimp, and onions. On the side we're lots of fresh lettuce to wrap and fresh mint for flavor. You take a crepe piece, wrap in a lettuce leaf with mint, and dip into the fish sauce. It's messy work to eat this, but someone has to do it. My husband had the pho and the broth was extremely tasty. The banh mi sandwiches were pretty cheap, $3.95, I'll have to try one next time. The kids had a Thai tea and strawberry smoothie that they liked. So they literally changed their whole design, marketing, and service plan. It went from a generic decently staged Vietnamese restaurant to a Dragonball themed place. The whole place right down to the employees are sporting Dragonball themed attire and art. It's pretty entertaining and based on how they've upped the ante on their service model, it's also up to date. You can pay via QR code, self-checkout kiosk, or in person which is all very convenient depending on your desired method of pay. Pay via QR code at your table is pretty cool all things considered!!! The seating could be better as everyone is kind of on top of each other but it's not as cramped as it could be. Now for the actual meat of the review which is the pho which is what I had to revisit. I order the Pho Dac Biet which is the combination. It's one size so that was a bit underwhelming as most places offer various sizes depending on your appetite so I was a bit confused as to why I didn't get the chance to choose the XL over the medium so that was a bit of a bother to me. They brought my pho out in a clay bowl and it came out bubbling hot!!! That to me was a fantastic delivery! This is was so satisfying to see. It confirmed to me that pho eaten this way should be the only way to eat it. Raging hot pho broth right off rip??? Genius!!!! On a separate plate came literally all the fixings. Noodles, thai basil, a Thai chili, culantro, sprouts, and a small slice of what appeared to be filet. That was an interesting twist to my regular pho experience. Normally the noodles and meat all come in one bowl so for this to come out, I was surprised. They don't use the typical pho rice noodles. The thin rice noodles we normal equate pho to have. These were wider, almost fettucine-esque in the way they were shaped. They did get soggier faster so you're going to have to endure the heat of your bowl a bit in order to enjoy your dish. A couple minor concerns is the flavor. Again, based on my last experience with this place regardless of their iterations, the pho broth wasn't rich or have a balance of flavors between the spices, the aromatics, and what not. There should be a blend of the cinnamon, cardamom, coriander, and then hints of ginger and garlic. All of that should be in a delicate marriage of flavor that brings a satisfying feeling of warmth and homely depth that pho is supposed to provide. Also, let's talk their meat portions. Wasn't a whole lot of available meat. Tripe was sprinkled sparingly. Meatballs were quartered so I probably got 2 whole ones. The filet was lost in the foray till it was overcooked. The brisket was definitely the highlight but you got 2 whole slices. And there was maybe 2 small pieces of tendon. Granted the bowl was small but that's why you offer different sizes. Especially at $15.95 plus tax, the bowl should've been at least a medium sized with that price and for what you got compared to other pho joints. Needless to say, the ambiance is great, the service model is different in a good way, but the pho did not deliver as I had hoped it would, even w/ the change. It seems like this place is resting on the laurels of being a Dragonball themed pho place instead of it being a pho place that has Dragonball highlights in their marketing. I'll have to come and try their banh mi's because the pho isn't doing it for me. Unfortunately because that clay bowl deal is a killer idea!!!!! read more

Pho Tai is a nice enough little daytime pho spot. I labeled all the dishes, so let me describe their ups and downs here instead. The Mi Quang style noodle soup was good: lightly spicy and decent chewy noodles. However, the sesame cracker was the really the highlight of the dish. The shrimp was shell-on, so if that is something you don't like, don't order this dish. The grilled chicken and fresh veggies was pretty basic. Nothing to rave about- but what would you expect? We were at a Pho house.... The stir-fry was good, but honestly, the chicken needed some extra care. It wasn't seasoned or marinated, so it only had the sauce slathered over the top. Again, what does one expect at a Pho house? The Combination Meat Pho was very flavorful, but the cartilage was half-inedible as it wasn't rendered. Otherwise, it was a great dish! The broth was the star in that one and the noodles let it shine. The spring rolls and fried egg rolls were just...ok. Not really good or bad. The spring rolls were filled to the brim with basil. So, they basically tasted like basil and nothing else. The rest of the spring roll was all textures- chewy wrap, cold, and fresh shrimp. Served with standard sauces. The pork was easy to bite through, but again no flavor from it as the basil completely overpowered them. The fried egg rolls were made with crunchy-fried, layered rice paper wrapping. The pork filling was minced and minimalist. It kind of reminded me of a Quick-trip roller- if it had an Asian twist. I've had much better. The ambiance music was great. The dining room is basic: so, not a date spot at all. Cool chandelier light is kind of out of place in here. Maybe they plan to make it nicer later on? The place seemed clean enough, but not all the staff were wearing masks. Most were, but not our waiter. I didn't see any gloves except for those cleaning tables. I did see them spray down a table after removing the dishes, but I didn't see any sanitizer- unless they are using sanitizer as their cleaning solution. Finally, my to-go order: Bo Kho: Spicy Vietnamese Beef Noodle Stew. The beef is (eating it now) very nicely stewed to a lovely rendered tenderness. Their is a touch of chewiness along the leftover fat areas that can easily be chomped through. The soup broth is excellent-- but there's not NEARLY enough of it. I've heated up the dish and the noodles basically soaked up all the soup in a matter of seconds. The noodles now taste great, but there's no soup left. They sent me with a side box of Thai basil, bean sprouts, a slice of jalapeño, and the two sauces. They also packed me a spoon and fork as well as (my preference) chopsticks. I can't repeat enough that there's just not even close to the correct amount of actual soup. I really wish there had been more soup (even if they put it on the side) to go with this. All in all, this place is decent, but not 4-stars. I'd come back, but I wouldn't bring a date. (And obviously, go for the Pho, as that's what they intended to make.) read more

Honestly this place is super cute. My boyfriend is a big DBZ fan so I thought it would be perfect to try this place! The service is super friendly, the waiter took our order and answered any questions I had. The shrimp springrolls are pretty basic, I thought they were yummy. The chicken wings only come with 4, we got the lemon pepper flavor, with some fries on the side (fries are nice and crispy!). The pineapple fruit tea was refreshing! I got the oxtail pho, which was good! I've had better pho but I would still recommend it to my friends. If you eat a lot, you're going to want to make sure you get more than just a sandwich lol. Legit pho. Best I've had in a while. Love the stone bowl. The broth stays hot for awhile and not lukewarm warm. The pho ga was legittt. Actually tasted like chicken and has a nice chicken aroma coming from the broth. read more
