I'm so happy and thankful there's an authentic Vietnamese spot in Downtown Lawrenceville! It truly deserves its place here. The workers are nice and it's a cute little sit-down place, even with takeout containers. Food was great! Pho tasted good, fries were seasoned, and banh mi bread wasn't stale. I don't usually like banh mi but they're making me change my mind a bit. For the price- I mean, it's Downtown. I'm not coming here expecting to save my pennies. It really isn't bad. Ordered takeout and drinks here because we were going to an event downtown. Shop was cute, and the staff were friendly as we waited a few minutes. Loved the Orange Lemongrass Peach Tea and the Summer Rolls! So crunchy, flavorful, and fresh - the best version of them I've ever had. Pho Bo Ko was just ok. Portion size was great. Bahn mi and Dalgona Coffee were good. Happy to have a place that serves Dalgona Coffee in the area. I'd come back for those rolls and drinks, and to explore more of their menu. read more

Customer service is very bad they are eyeballing you and this is not the first time me coming here. i am definitely not coming back here. The food is disgusting I found a hair in the sandwich and the chicken pho was bad the chicken was so chewy like it's been sitting for weeks. What's an amazing place! It's about time we get something different in the Lawrenceville square. I came here opening day and ordered the combination Pho. The Pho had really great flavor but noddle game was lacking (next time I will order it with extra noodles). The service was good but I can tell the staff is working towards improve the process. Loving this new Boba and Vietnamese restaurant in downtown Lawrenceville. I can tell that a lot of care and thought was put into both the decor and the menu. We went yesterday and ordered the Lime Mojito (non-alcoholic) with boba, Lychee Hibiscus tea with boba, and the Parmesan Fries. The ordering process was easy and our drinks and food came out pretty quickly. The mojito was amazing! This was my favorite thing we ordered, it was beautifully balanced, refreshing, and delicious. The Lychee Hibiscus tea was a bit underwhelming on flavor, but overall a 6/10. The Parmesan Fries were SUPER YUMMY, our only small comment was that the portion was a little smaller than we expected for $6. Another amazing part of our visit was sitting on the back patio: it was comfortable, spacious, and we loved the umbrellas! This is a cute little place. They have the best taro milk tea I've tried. The ube mash just sends it to the next level! Only thing i didn't care for was the small pork patty pieces in the summer roll. I prefer the whole sliced patty because u get pork in each bite. Their pieces are too few in my opinion. I'm a pho snob, but their pho was okay. The broth wasn't good enough to eat alone so I did have to add lots of sauce into it. However, their Vietnamese wings were great and probably the best item on their menu. Lots of flavor and had the perfect crunch texture without being over cooked. Lastly, I got their UBE Oreo boba which wasn't the best, and the oreo part almost reminds me of milk. Which was disappointing since the drink looked so pretty. read more

I used to date someone that works there. And she told me that they are really dirty over there. I was told after the health inspection even after they got a low rating that they were lucky. I was told some workers had to hide because the people in the kitchen are always barefoot. I was also told that; their boss told them to tell the health inspection workers that they can't check the storage unit, and to lie to them saying it belongs to the landlord so they can't open it. When in reality it's just super dirty. Her as a worker told me the food wasn't that good but the drinks were solid. read more

Terrible service on Saturday March 8th around 10:00 pm. As soon as I walked in the two girls that work there gave my family and I a stank face. I think they should get it together because we were there to order, and 3 out of the 7 of us ordered something. That could've been money earned for the business, but most of them decided not to get anything because they felt disrespected. I think they should be giving us at least some sort of respect because we're just customers trying to consume from the business. Also, they gave me no ice when I asked for lite ice and I feel like they did it on purpose... I've been here before plenty of times and have never gotten such bad service until today. The service was excellent here! The food and beverage was very good. I ordered the bahn mi without carrots (weird food allergen) and they accommodated without question. The sandwich was very good but it wasn't traditional as offered. A true Bahn Mi has pate as it does have French heritage. Tea Lam's does not offer this as a few other Vietnamese places also do not. Not everyone thinks pate is a bad thing. Now for the rest of the sandwich, the bread was the real deal!! This is the baguette it should be served on. The pork and veg were also very good. My only suggestion would be to julienne the cucumber as it is a bit difficult to eat the spears on the sandwich. The cost is very friendly for people looking for an affordable sandwich. They have a great sandwich, but charge the right price. My overall, take on this place is it's a great restaurant with amazing food. My option is that I will be here weekly. This is what our town needed and I'm so happy Tea Lam is here. Now excuse me while I order the Pho for dinner tonight! read more
