Went here couple times whenever friends come in town, their service is a hit & miss. The waiting for our food takes a little longer than usual probably short of staffs. Anyhow, we ordered couple things on menu which are decent. Our friends like this place. We will come back to try their hotpot menu.

Nom Nom Tea & Bites was a place I found on a whim. I personally would have never came to the Marketplace Club plaza til I noticed Nom Nom. We got their Stir-fried Conch, Rice Paper Salad and Nom Nom Special Milk Tea. Stir-fried Conch came with a lemon grass dressing that was heavenly. The dish itself is very flavorful and a bit spicy. However when paired with the lemon grass dressing, it's an absolute harmony. 10/10 I did not try much of the Rice Paper Salad but my girlfriend likes the dish, however she mention how it lacks a bit of flavor/spice. 7/10 I personally got the Milk Tea and it was very good. It's an Oolong base with various toppings like red bean, grass jelly, and even fruit jelly. Nom Nom definitely earned a place in my heart for authentic Vietnamese cuisine and I will be coming back!

Papaya salad (6/10): Didn't splurge on the sauce or the beef jerky in it, used to be serve in a larger quantity but charged the same as seen in picture. It was savory and sweet, a nice appetizer. Chicken fried rice (7/10): standard chicken fried rice in fish sauce. I love the savory fish sauce flavor you can't find at other restaurants in this quantity. Stir-fried corn (4/10): incredibly underwhelming, corn cold to bite. Watery at the bottom and didn't emulate the tastes of Vietnamese street corn that they were trying to go for. Tamarind balut (8/10): So yummy! Small enough to not be too overwhelming for the adventurous foodies, and its savory sweet sauce coats the eggs so well. The peanuts add great texture to it. Scallops with scallion oil (6/10): chewy, tasted fishier than a scallop should taste. Toppings were perfect, just not good enough to mask the quality of the shellfish. Pork floss banh mi (10/10): best fish, without a fail cannot get this wrong. Crunchy bread with savory salty pork floss topped with kewpie mayo and sriracha and scallions. Razor clams with scallion oil (7/10): Delicious, just nothing special and a bit pricey for the amount and uniqueness in comparison to the scallops. Overall, the food was pretty good! I like coming here with my friends so they can try new things. The only unsavory part, however, is the service and ambiance of this place. The servers essentially ignore you at the place after you give your order, and if their friends come to visit, you bet that you're ignored for the rest of the night and basically sidelined unless you bring something to their attention. They also play music so loudly you'd be yelling across the table to someone sitting in front of you. In terms of ambiance, most nights I've come here (about 5-8 times now) they've brought out balloons they've passed around taking turns huffing. I don't really wanna assume what's going on, but it isn't really professional as well as smart. I would love to come back here again if their service and professionalism improves. Go for takeout if you want an enjoyable experience.

I used to come to Nom Nom a lot pre COVID and even used to study here. Since then, it had had a change in management and complete renovation. I used to love coming here for their split cups, but they no longer have it. The fish tofu is pretty good but I recall a certain seasoning that the previous management of Nom Nom used that is missing in this one. We got the wintermelon green tea which was refreshing but recommend getting with less sugar. They have a pretty diverse menu with plenty of snacks and meals to try along with your bobas.

    Popcorn Chicken

Very disappointed in the food. The popcorn chicken was all batter and no meat. The bbq pork fried rice was okay, but the meat was dry. Service was okay, but the server did not know the menu at all. Do not waste your money here.

Nom Nom recently changed management so we decided to check it out. Overall, the interior changed to a more restaurant ambiance. The service was slow but nice. The food was pricy, small in portion, but tasty. Food They have extensive menu options for beer food. Unique and authentic. Shaken Fries with Cheese Powder: Sweet and the cheesiness was subtle. Very yummy. Coconut Snails: Tasty sauce, hard to suck out the snails. I wish there there toothpicks to use. Tamarind Snails: Tasty slightly sour sauce and more meaty. Spicy Steamed Clams: Spicy and succulent soup. Wished there were white rice to pair with the soup. Papaya Salad with Beef Jerky: This was very refreshing and yummy. The beef jery was very small though. It was sprinked slightly on the top. Chicken Fried Rice: the chicken was sweet and savory. The fried rice was underwhelming. Didn't have that wok hay taste. I think it needed more flavor considered how vibrant it looks. Scallop: Tasted good but scallop was small. Most of the dish consisted to nuts, fish sauce, and herbs. Considered the price, I might come back and try the noodle soup instead to get more filled up.

    Popcorn chicken (Yummy!!)

I came here for a car meet and wanted to try out their drinks and snacks. I forgot to take photos of the drinks but my Green Apple Iced Green tea was amazing!!! As far as snacks, I ordered the popcorn chicken (which reminded me of salt & pepper chicken and same with some spicy mayo sauce). The chicken was very yummy and for $4.25, it came with a ton of food. I also ordered some rice paper salad which was amazing. The eggs, beef jerky, and flavoring was point on! I can't wait to come back and try out more drinks and snacks!!

There is plenty of room in the restaurant for gatherings with friends and family. A large portion of the dishes are flavorful and really excellent. My top picks are the beef stir-fry noodles or the salted egg with nail. Fast and courteous service is provided.

The shop that day probably had plumbing issues because the whole air smelt like sewer The thai tea was good and the flavors were delicious.

I was eager to try out this newly renovated place. It's cute and clean. I thought the food was okay but husband gave it a thumb down. The kumquat sugarcane drink I got was a little bland. I felt like it was diluted.

Better than the war in Nam Nam, better than Travelocity or Expedia or whatever which is all about the Gnome Gnome, but not better than Pink Floyd when they felt comfortably Numb Numb. I was happy to see that they have split cups here so I got one. The milk tea was pretty good but the fruit tea wasn't really to my taste. Excellent service from a really friendly girl and another good standard Boba place to add to the masses of authentic local places all over the Chinatown region in the northeast burbs of Atlanta.

    Sea snails.

The food and drinks here were just okay. Super average imo. Nom Nom is located at the left end of the complex -- sort of behind Moe's & Starbucks. It was quite dead when we arrived with only a few to-go orders during our 1 hour visit there. The hubs and I had the taro slushy, Nom Nom pinky milky, and popcorn chicken. We also sampled the sea snails from a friend. My pinky milky drink was pretty good. The flavors were unique and differed from a traditional milk tea or flavored tea drink. The taro slushy was rather icy and somewhat flavorless. I'd stick to the other liquid drinks to be safe. The popcorn chicken was dry and hard. There weren't much chicken pieces going on here but rough and dry dough encasing what should have been chicken; you can hardly taste the actual chicken. I don't recommend getting this. The snails were just okay. I believe the sauce was tamarind. There was a yellowish appearance to it and a slight sweetness. I don't dig the sauce. The snails were super small and annoying to eat, hence I just sampled it. Lol.

YOU GUYS! This place is incredible. Not only are the workers here EXTREMELY NICE, the atmosphere is very comforting. My sisters and I LOVE to go here for snacks and sugar cane juice. You MUST try everything on the menu (like we do ). So far every dish they have has the PERFECT seasoning and is very flavorful. Many of the dishes is so authentic to the good ole vietnamese food that you'd crave to have in Vietnam. This time we got the French fries (I wanted to order 2 more because the seasoning was addicting! Plus it was sooo fresh tasting), sugar cane drink, 3 different dishes of snails (Ốc Hng xào me, Ốc len xào dừa) and this rice paper dish that is a popular street food (bánh tráng trộn) Highly highly recommend trying this place out. You won't regret it!!!

I want to be upfront with this review and call out my experience honestly…read more Personally, I'm sensitive to heavy MSG usage. When I eat at many Japanese or Korean soup restaurants that don't rely heavily on MSG, I rarely get headaches afterward. Unfortunately, that wasn't the case here. I ordered the bún bò Huế, a spicy and rich Vietnamese noodle soup originating from the central city of Huế. Traditionally, it features a bold, savory broth flavored with lemongrass, shrimp paste, and chili oil, served with thick rice vermicelli noodles, sliced beef, pork (often shank or knuckle), and fresh herbs with crunchy vegetables like banana blossom or cabbage. The portion was generous and visually accurate to the dish, but the broth felt extremely heavy and overpowering for me, and I left with a noticeable headache--something that doesn't usually happen to me at similar soup-focused restaurants. As a side note, the restaurant had a health inspection score of 81 (low B) the last time I checked, which is fairly in line with many older, high-volume ethnic restaurants, but still worth mentioning for transparency. The location is also something to be aware of. It's in a busy parking lot with a lot of reckless driving activity, so be careful when walking--this isn't the kind of place where you can casually stroll through the lot like you might at Whole Foods or Publix. You definitely need to watch left and right. The surrounding businesses include an American Deli and a pizza buffet, which gives you an idea of the overall environment. Overall, Pho Dai Lo serves authentic, bold-flavored Vietnamese dishes, and fans of strong, intense broths may enjoy it. However, if you're sensitive to very rich seasoning or additives, your experience may vary. Im Asian btw I know msg is used in a lot of viet and Chinese dishes and maybe the reasons why I enjoyed this dish. But I do have regret after coming out. It's not cheap either for two person with tip roughly $20 pp. u can get all you can eat buffet or even the Gohan seafood buffet if you think about it.

She's been there so long that I just call her my aunty at this point. Today, I did a little takeout haul--grabbed five banh mi sandwiches (Shrimp, Steak, Chicken, Special Combo & BBQ Pork). The wait time was super chill, maybe 15-20 minutes max. My usual go-to is the Special Combo, but since I was ordering for friends, I let them pick first. Ended up with the Shrimp Banh Mi today, which I hadn't had in forever. Solid 7/10. My dad knows I'm obsessed with the Special Combo, so he shared some with me, and yep--still a 10/10, no question. Aunty also has a deal where if you buy five items, you get one free, so I went for the spring rolls. They were pretty simple--just shrimp, carrots, and noodles--good but nothing crazy. 6/10. Now, back to the sandwiches! My friends gave the Chicken and BBQ Pork both an 8/10. The bread was soft, the meat and veggies were balanced just right, and overall, it was just chef's kiss. I think their dishes although prepared authentically are underwhelming in terms of the depths in flavor and really the soul of Vietnamese food. I'm not an expert but I've eaten my fair share of Vietnamese food for a standard issue white girl. The pork patty was dry and likely made at the beginning of the week and just reheated as the week went on. It was pretty bland and had this rubbery overly bouncy consistency and literally snapped when I bit into it. It basically got lost amongst all the fresh herbs too. As you can tell from the photo the Bánh bột chiên was burnt and it ended up being burnt on both sides. The squares were cut too thick...and because they were cut too thick they were on the mushy side even after being overly pan fried. All of the veg was fresh and well cleaned, the rice noodles were not overly sticky and clumped together. The pickled carrot/daikon were tasty. The server I had was attentive and polite. The interior was as to be expected and I couldn't care less that it's a little rough around the edges. If the tile isn't cracked, if the booth's vinyl isn't taped up, the utensils aren't mismatched and the tables aren't wobbly then I don't trust the place!! Like I said-I don't dislike it here. I just don't see the hype. Then again I feel like I have to piece together my favorite dishes from several spots between Doraville/Chamblee and Duluth, so maybe it's because I haven't found one place that checks all the boxes and I can get all my favs from one place. Unfortunately, tonight was extremely disappointing and unacceptable. We arrived almost two hours before closing, and the restaurant was not busy. Despite that, our food came out very late, with half of it being served when we were already preparing to leave. It was also my husband's birthday, and since we run a business ourselves, it's hard for us to plan outings--so this was meant to be a simple, enjoyable dinner. I ordered a chocolate cake, which arrived completely frozen. I let it sit for 15-20 minutes, and it was still rock solid, so I had to send it back. On top of that, as we were leaving, we were still waiting on spring rolls and a chicken baguette. It also took a long time just to get the check so we could leave. The most upsetting part: As we were walking out, an older gentleman and our usual server stopped us and asked for a tip. My husband explained that we weren't leaving a tip because the service was poor and extremely slow--specifically mentioning that the younger server never came to our table until around 2:05 AM. Instead of handling this professionally, the server became angry, started kicking us out, and even called us "cheap." We have never been confronted like this before. Business owner to business owner, I would NEVER speak to a customer this way. If service isn't up to standard, getting upset at customers for not tipping is completely unprofessional and unacceptable. The food is still good, and I've always recommended this place to others--but treating loyal customers this way is ridiculous and avoidable. Did they lose a customer? Yes. Will I miss coming here? Yes. Could this have been handled better? Absolutely.
