It's finally time to give nom nom a review (ive been here over 5 times, and it has now become my weekly hangout place) !! :D I have tried their food and drinks during their opening, but was met with disappointment. I'm so glad I gave this place another try. It definitely improve ALOT now! There are a lot of choices of food and drinks compare to their opening, and the flavoring and portion is on point! If you haven't tried the fiery bread, then you should definitely go give it a try! The bread is toasted until perfection (not super crispy, just right) topped with shredded pork, srirarcha, mayonaise, and a few other things that I black out on My top 4 Drinks: --Hokkaido milk tea (add basil seed for free with crystal boba) !! So gooooooooooood. --Basil Refreshing Drink (A mixture of basil seed, grass jelly, and some healthy sponge like liquid! It's a vietnamese healthy drink). Give it a try! I usually get the Hokkaido Milk tea and this drink in a split cup) --Hawaii Milk tea (they order this flavor from hawaii which is pretty cool, you wont get this flavor anywhere else.. taste like tropical bubble gum) I personally dont like it since i dont like anything that taste like gum, but it is definitely worth a try! --Artichoke tea with free basil seed! No need for other toppings, trust me! (yummmmmmmmmmy! this drink is soooo refreshing and healthy.) Basically i added crystal boba to all my drinks crystal boba is shape like a regular tapioca ball but it is a clear color (lychee flavor- chewy), no where else have this topping, so come here for a taste of this unique topping!! I love it more than boba now Update 11/21/`17: They're currently out of Hawaii Milk tea and crystal boba. However, you can give ruby red a try! Same thing, just different color. read more

The first thing I have to point out about this new boba place is the location. It's in the opposite direction of all the other Asian dessert/snack places so it is a little out of the way. It's in the Da Loi #3 plaza but on the opposite end of the row right behind Starbucks. The interior is a little plain and you enter in one way while exiting the other way. The seating situation is nice but it lacks a comfortable feeling so it's not really a place I would like to chill if I had a choice. I came on an early afternoon on a weekday so the place was dead. The employees were just chillin and I was the only customer at the time; a few more followed after I got my order. I think I was supposed to get a buzzer of some sort to notify me of when my order was ready but I didn't get one. The customers after me got one, though. The menu is nothing fancy but you'll see it when you walk in. You basically take your own order so there's no way your order can get messed up, right? Maybe. The menu has codes next to the menu items so whatever you want, you just jot it down on your ordering sheet and take it to the cashier. Nom Nom offers something new to Duluth: split cups. I've only seen them on Instagram and they were only in California for a while so it's nice to see something new. The cup is also a lot bigger than I expected but I paid around $6 for it because you're paying for 2 flavors and there are toppings at the cashier so depending on which topping you get, that's 0.25 per side so y'all can do the math and decide for yourself if it's worth it. For me, it's worth it for the novelty and the cup is the sturdy kind of plastic. I would feel terrible for throwing it away after I was done. After I finished my drink, there was a lot of boba leftover on both sides of the cup. Maybe I shouldn't have ordered boba for both? Or maybe they were trying to give me 0.50 worth of boba? I don't know but I think less boba for the split cups would be nice, in my opinion. I'll probably bring some friends by just because I know they would like to check out the split cups also. Unfortunately, I probably won't be coming by very often since it's not in a place that is popular or convenient for me. This place is awesome! I love love love boba tea. I mainly go to quickly but decided to try nom nom today. They were friendly and quick! I was recommended the milk teas however I'm lactose and the owner even helped assist me find the right drink! I ended up getting the brown sugar latte and I'm so excited to try it after I finish my passionfruit tea! Not only do they serve drinks they also have a good variety of snacks. This restaurant and tea spot is awesome!!! The staff members are very friendly and help you choose which beverage is a good fit for your taste buds! The drinks are affordable around $3.25 for a small and absolutely gorgeous. I almost didn't want to drink my violet love tea. They have games if you want to sip, stay and play. I also ordered food I ordered the Mi Xao Bo which is beef with ramen and tasty Bok Choi all stir fried with a bit of hot sauce and a sweet soy sauce on the side. When we walked in we were greeted with a smile! The gentleman that took our order was very friendly. We arrived around 1:30 and they open at 12. We were the only customers there also. The floor was dirty and sticky which is questionable considering they hadn't been open very long. The employees certainly heard our feet sticking to the ground as we were looking for a clean table to sit at but chose not to improve the circumstances. Most of the tables didn't seem as clean as they should've been either. Food wise, we ordered coconut snails- we love snails. We usually are only able to find snails in other states such as Texas , so we were excited to hear that a place in Atl served them! The presentation was nice but the substance wasn't. Some unique tea flavors, toppings, and love the split cup as a way to explore the options. However, the last time I visited it took 20 minutes for 2 teas. The place was deserted. I think there may have been a miscommunication as the gentleman from the back of the house was sitting by the register playing on his phone and the barista working the register was doing the same (hmmm). 10 minutes later, the barista went in to the back and returned shortly after with my drinks. They are very new establishment, just opened Sunday. Pros: -Offer Vietnamese street food -Split cup is pretty cool so you could try two different drinks at the same time but no slushies -They are open late, till 12am Sunday thru Thursday and 1am on Friday and Saturday -Hang out spot, they let you pick music to play -Drinks were refreshing -Plentiful parking -Free wifi but I would not recommend studying here Cons: -Lights are very bright and made the whole place really hot -Ordering system is not effective. You look at the menu, wright down the codes for your orders on a piece of paper, than hand it to the cashier to ring you up. I could hear the cashier asking people what this letter or number is. They were slow to ring orders up. There was only two cashiers. Also they did not remember the codes themselves since when I got up there they asked what M13 was and it was Thai tea. I could already picture how the ordering system will hold up the line. - Order delivery also needs to improve. They scream out your order number when your order is ready. Some people tossed their receipt and did not know their order number. Also, It was loud in there and no one could hear their number being called. This cause a delay in delivering orders to customers. Maybe they could try using a microphone to yell out numbers or better yet get buzzers. - Small food portions What I ordered: Strawberry passion Nom nom pinky milky Kawaii fruit tea Yellow tango (comes with tamarind candy straw. They have a variety of vietnamese street food. If you ever go here and wanna taste what Saigon is like, order papaya salad, Banh Trang Tron with original sauce and Kumquat lemon iced tea. Food is 10/10 amazing would totally recommend. The price is on the other hand, kinda expensive with a small serving size. It's kind of hit or miss. The first time I heard about this place, I was stoked because I love eating razor clams, snails, and the likes. It's not comparable to the west coast, but I thought it suffice for Atlanta. Plus, the sugarcane kumquat drink + crystal boba was pretty delish. However, the second time I went, the food was not as good...third time was ok...and the last time I went, I was livid. I went inside to order the sugarcane kumquat drink, which I was starting to become a regular thing, and ended up waiting 30 minutes for it. My husband was waiting in the car for me and I think that's what irked me the most, having to make him wait that long for what should be no more than 10 minutes. The store just did not do a good job with managing the workflow. I understand it got busy but when I started seeing people get their food order before me, I was not a happy camper. I ordered the split cup of lychee iced tea with crystal boba (like crunchy lychee/coconut boba) and a black milk tea with regular boba. For the food, I ordered banh mi nuong (fiery bread) , banh trang tron (rice paper salad), lobster balls, ngeu hap xa (clams) and oc (snails). I really recommend the mango iced tea!! Wanna try something new. Rice paper salad was not that good for $4something, at less used quail egg instead of half of the regular eggs. I am utterly disappointed in the experience and food here. As well as everyone who's ever eaten here and given them all 5 stars, shame on you. We paid $18 for a pitiful midnight snack. First, they brought the Bahn Mi sandwich out in a Togo container which was basically prepared for us to make ourselves instead of them making it for us?! The meat was bland and the lack of vegetables was so frustrating. Then the popcorn chicken came out as little baby strips that had more batter than chicken. It was dry and tough baby chicken shreds tossed in some batter and fried. The mangonada was not to die for and tasted weird as did the kiwi slushy. I ordered 5 orders Togo that on the website is $6.75 per order but when I got there to pay all the food that I order went up to $2- $3 / order. Which means I had to pay $13-15 extra for them. I think I would give it 3 stars, but since the location is much easier and has less traffic compared to ones on pleasant hill, I'm giving it an extra star. The drinks are pretty good, the only problem is how fast mines was watered down (but maybe i just waited too long, yaknow) the prices are pretty good for what you get, and it's honestly a pretty good place. My husband and I ate here late an night, literally at 12 ish before closing. I ordered some popcorn shrimp with onion rings and a Peach slush with jellies and lychee. I loved the sauce that came with my popcorn chicken and how much I got but not the onion rings so because of how little I received. I LOVE onion rings and I only received a hand full My husband ordered some chicken wings and some fries and I think a strawberry slush if not mistaken with jellies and Macha boba. He didn't like the wings so much because it was hardly flavorful BUT we did like the fact that they're clean and organized and quick with making your orders and used clean oil. (Im a cook) The only other down side is it was $28 and some change which is too much for 4 sides and 2 slushes But overall we would come back because they're very much decent and as close as I can get to Cali.
