Not the cleanest viet style hot pot place with a conveyer belt that mainly displays fish and other seafood like shellfish. I didn't think was safe enough to try. I got the sichuan broth. Was decent but not as good as some Chinese ones. Also I had severe stomachache after. Now after reading other yelper's review re the infestation situation. Omg so gross I will never come back.

Not only are containers filthy they are open! So unsanitary

There's clearly a lot of fake reviews here!! This place is filthy, the food grade is low quality, they are rude to people of color, and they pretend to not understand English. As sushi lovers and someone who eats out 5 times per week, this was by far a waste of money. The food is so gross and I hate to even say those words, but I'd hate for other guest to spend their hard earn money and not be satisfied. I work too hard to throw money away.

The prices are crazy now: They've doubled/tripled the price of every plate color. The cheapest, $1 plates are now $3. The previous most expensive, $5 plates are now $10. And as if that wasn't enough, they've also added another, $7 plate. I added just meat, rice noodles, and mushrooms. That alone put me at $17, pre-tax and tip. Their standard soup base actually tastes better than I remember. It was so good I actually drank some like real soup. Which is weird for hot pot. The rice noodles were already overcooked on the plate. I just dunked it for a split second and it was mush. This wasn't as bad when they were $1, but now at $3 it's annoying. We had two waitresses come by. The Hispanic waitress was extremely sweet. Very attentive and kind. The Asian waitress was extremely unpleasant and rude. They always used to be packed. This time the place was almost empty. Only two other tables had people. The sauce area also seems different. I wonder if they have new owners?

Last night was my third time at this restaurant and it was a great experience all 3 times. The experience of pulling the food that you want off of a conveyor belt is a lot of fun. I took a date here for her first time and she thoroughly enjoyed it and we both left full and happy. The Thai tea was in a huge cup and it was very good. We finished our meal with a hot sake, which was also good. A fun experience with good food options that I would recommend anyone to try at least once.

I Luv Hot Pot is a fun place. I have wanted to visit this restaurant for several years now and finally got around to it. The food is tasty. The ambiance is spectacular, the restaurant is decorated in a fun, inviting way, with led lighting, the revolving items bar, and fun chandeliers. The service is good, as the servers only need to bring your drinks and you can request rice from them if you want it, as it is not a revolving item. Each person at the table chooses a hotpot broth. Each person pays around $5 for the hotpot broth. Each item that you add to the hotpot is on the revolving conveyor belt. There are tons of choices. Each plate you take from the conveyor belt has a price, ranging from $3 - $10. There are soooo many options of items to choose from and this is one of my favorite things about this place. There are about 5 different types of noodles to choose from, like egg noodles, udon, ramen, rice vermicelli, etc., there is tons of veggies from bok choy, broccoli, bean sprouts, sweet potatoes, watercress, etc. and the protein choices are outstanding! Some of the offered proteins are eggs, tofu, thin sliced, chicken, several pork options, several beef options, shrimp, tiger prawns, snow crab, escargot and lobster. And I know it seems like I have listed a good bit of choices from the conveyor belt, but I promise there is many more options than I listed, they also offer things like potstickers / dumplings, etc. Most of the items are $3, especially the noodles, veggies, dumplings, some proteins, etc. and the options go up in price a few dollars depending on meat choice. The $10 items are the lobster, tiger prawns & snow crab. I know you may think, the cost is really adding up here, but you get your moneys worth, because each plate you take from the conveyor belt, has so much on it. You definitely want to take friends and share each plate with them. The plates are made for sharing, as the quantity on them is really great. The vegetables and meat all seemed very fresh as well, which made me very happy. There is also a sauce bar of course where you can create your own hotpot dipping sauce. The selection on the sauce bar is pretty good. I will also say the food was very delicious! The atmosphere was very fun. The price ended up being around $45 a person as we tried a lot of items and split the total bill 3 ways. So this is no more and maybe a little less than we spend at most hotpot restaurants that are AYCE. One added bonus is that we were all stuffed and we still had a good bit of food left. And unlike AYCE spots, the waiter came to the table to bring us to-go bowls and to-go boxes and you can take all of your leftovers with you! So I am sure you are thinking, why is this girl only rating this place 3 stars when this review sounds like the place is outstanding! And yes, the food, selection of choices, taste of the food, the cost, etc. is all great! The reason for my 3 star review is that my one big turn off is that the restaurant is not that clean. The floor from the door, to the table, to the bathrooms, is oily and slippery feeling. The plates & silverware, etc. was not very clean, there was food particles on several of our plates and we had to get new ones or thoroughly wipe them down ourselves. Several of the bowls we got from the sauce bar, also were not clean. This was a huge disappointment. We really loved this place, but it was very hard to get over the lack of cleanliness. I would love to go back to this restaurant many time, but it's something I will have to think about, just because all of us at our table was a bit turned off by the lack of cleanliness. If they can work on this and clean things up, this place would definitely get 5 stars from me.

The food is great and we love the conveyor belt style of picking what you love. The broths are so flavorful and the sauces are incredible and everything is so clean.

This is one of my husbands favorite places for pho because he gets to build his own. We've never had to wait to get seated unless we have a big group. Once you're seated in a booth next to the conveyor belt the server will take your broth and drink order. You can grab your sauces from the sauce bar while you're waiting for your broth. They provide a great variety of pho ingredients that you can choose from. Each colored plate represents a different price. The service was ok. Our server checked in about 4 times to pick up the clear tops and refilled our drink container.

The hotpot concept here is pretty interesting: various meat and produce come down a conveyor belt and the prices are determined by their color-coded plates. My Thai broth was more on the sweet side than spicy and according to my partner, the beef broth was lacking flavor. We tried the cabbage, lobster balls, king mushrooms, tofu skin, scallops, sushi, lobster, and an array of beef items. My favorite were the scallops, king mushrooms, and cabbage. If I were to visit again, I'd avoid the lobster balls, tofu skin, and lobster. To be honest, adding lobster to your hotpot is a terrible idea! I personally thought the toppings were way overpriced (e.g. $3 for less than 10 small cabbage pieces). Our check turned out to be $120 for two people (kinda crazy since we are both small people and yet we were still hungry afterwards). While the experience was interesting, I was turned off by the lack of covid precautions. Gloves aren't provided at the sauce bar and everyone is using the same utensils (FYI: unlike other hotspot places, I Luv Hotpot doesn't give recommendations on how to combine some of the sauces - all four of ours turned out awful). Additionally, the person across from us were touching plenty of plates on the conveyor belt and placing them back. Also, the women's bathroom was dirty.

The tamarind drink is very good.
    Tiffany H.

This was my first time having hot pot and I'm glad I tried it here first. When you walk in you see a conveyor belt with all types of meats and veggies to add to your hot pot. I got the Thai base. The base alone was packed with flavor. Each plate size/color represents a different price. Service was fast and the ambiance was fun and bustling. Will definitely go back.

I just love this place. I am a soup person and love the variety of flavors of broth and spices they offer you. This is my fourth time coming to this establishment and it's always a great experience. This is a must try place. You will love it and be amazed.

I want to be upfront with this review and call out my experience honestly…read more Personally, I'm sensitive to heavy MSG usage. When I eat at many Japanese or Korean soup restaurants that don't rely heavily on MSG, I rarely get headaches afterward. Unfortunately, that wasn't the case here. I ordered the bún bò Huế, a spicy and rich Vietnamese noodle soup originating from the central city of Huế. Traditionally, it features a bold, savory broth flavored with lemongrass, shrimp paste, and chili oil, served with thick rice vermicelli noodles, sliced beef, pork (often shank or knuckle), and fresh herbs with crunchy vegetables like banana blossom or cabbage. The portion was generous and visually accurate to the dish, but the broth felt extremely heavy and overpowering for me, and I left with a noticeable headache--something that doesn't usually happen to me at similar soup-focused restaurants. As a side note, the restaurant had a health inspection score of 81 (low B) the last time I checked, which is fairly in line with many older, high-volume ethnic restaurants, but still worth mentioning for transparency. The location is also something to be aware of. It's in a busy parking lot with a lot of reckless driving activity, so be careful when walking--this isn't the kind of place where you can casually stroll through the lot like you might at Whole Foods or Publix. You definitely need to watch left and right. The surrounding businesses include an American Deli and a pizza buffet, which gives you an idea of the overall environment. Overall, Pho Dai Lo serves authentic, bold-flavored Vietnamese dishes, and fans of strong, intense broths may enjoy it. However, if you're sensitive to very rich seasoning or additives, your experience may vary. Im Asian btw I know msg is used in a lot of viet and Chinese dishes and maybe the reasons why I enjoyed this dish. But I do have regret after coming out. It's not cheap either for two person with tip roughly $20 pp. u can get all you can eat buffet or even the Gohan seafood buffet if you think about it.

I'm not an expert but I've eaten my fair share of Vietnamese food for a standard issue white girl. The pork patty was dry and likely made at the beginning of the week and just reheated as the week went on. It was pretty bland and had this rubbery overly bouncy consistency and literally snapped when I bit into it. It basically got lost amongst all the fresh herbs too. As you can tell from the photo the Bánh bột chiên was burnt and it ended up being burnt on both sides. The squares were cut too thick...and because they were cut too thick they were on the mushy side even after being overly pan fried. All of the veg was fresh and well cleaned, the rice noodles were not overly sticky and clumped together. The pickled carrot/daikon were tasty. The server I had was attentive and polite. The interior was as to be expected and I couldn't care less that it's a little rough around the edges. My family and I (brothers, children,…read morenieces, nephews, in-laws) dine in regularly, and I always leave a generous tip--often $25+--because the food has consistently been good and the staff has usually been great. Unfortunately, tonight was extremely disappointing and unacceptable. We arrived almost two hours before closing, and the restaurant was not busy. Despite that, our food came out very late, with half of it being served when we were already preparing to leave. It was also my husband's birthday, and since we run a business ourselves, it's hard for us to plan outings--so this was meant to be a simple, enjoyable dinner. I ordered a chocolate cake, which arrived completely frozen. I let it sit for 15-20 minutes, and it was still rock solid, so I had to send it back. On top of that, as we were leaving, we were still waiting on spring rolls and a chicken baguette. It also took a long time just to get the check so we could leave. The most upsetting part: As we were walking out, an older gentleman and our usual server stopped us and asked for a tip. My husband explained that we weren't leaving a tip because the service was poor and extremely slow--specifically mentioning that the younger server never came to our table until around 2:05 AM. Instead of handling this professionally, the server became angry, started kicking us out, and even called us "cheap." We have never been confronted like this before. Business owner to business owner, I would NEVER speak to a customer this way. If service isn't up to standard, getting upset at customers for not tipping is completely unprofessional and unacceptable. The food is still good, and I've always recommended this place to others--but treating loyal customers this way is ridiculous and avoidable. Did they lose a customer? Yes. Will I miss coming here? Yes. Could this have been handled better? Absolutely.
