This is a Family owned little business in a strip mall. You have to call the number on the door to place your order and a lady slips out like a slithering snake LOL and places your order on a table. You also have to give her your credit card over the phone. They have a nice variety of snowcones and it is the powdered ice. :) They do have a good amount of syrups but I would not confuse this place as a typical snow cone establishment. They also offer other items but I don't ever get those LOL my favorite is the wedding cake with condensed milk on top and I always ask for extra. I've had sno-cones before but not shaved ice so I didn't know the difference...until today. It was a hot day so I dropped by Paradise for some shaved ice. The real reason I dropped by was because I wanted to try the "Tiger Blood" flavor (that's SUCH a BA name!!!). There were plenty of people lounging around and chillin but seating is limited. I could hear the owner explaining the combinations and flavors to the worker, who seemed new but not that new because he easily took my order for a regular-sized sunset (passion fruit + tiger blood) flavored shaved ice. $3 for a regular size? Uh, yes, please. The size is so totally worth the price. The texture of the shaved ice is really nice and when you take a bite, flavor just kicks you in the face. It's similar to sno-cones but not quite; there's that little somethin' somethin' that sets it apart.
