I'm a big fan of Gom Shabu Shabu. Back in the day if I wasn't at Mini Hot Pot on Buford Highway you could find me at Gom Shabu Shabu off of Satellite Blvd. Gom Shabu Shabu was the first popular Korean shabu shabu/hot pot spot in Atlanta. Their broth and fresh vegetables and dope dipping sauce had me coming back often. So this location opened up and we started coming here more. The broth is still very good and love how they make the sauces for you. You can still go up and make your own sauce mix but I prefer the ones they make. They have four different spice levels. I go back and forth from the premium beef and the regular beef. Both are good to me. I really like the things they have for the platter here. My favorite is the imitation crab piece (don't judge me), the fish cake, glass noodles, and the Korean rice cake. They also will give you bean sprouts if you ask for it. I also like to get the Korean jook (porridge) or noodles (udon or kahl kook soo) at the end of the meal. There is an extra charge for those items but its worth it. I also like the partially closed off individual tables here which makes it feel more intimate. They also have the good ole Korean call button that you can use if your server goes MIA or if it's hard to flag one down because of the partitions. Feel free to use it as often as you need for water refills, broth refills, more sauce, and your check. The past couple of times I've been the service has been so so... I've had to ring the bell for stuff unlike other places that would check up on while dining in. They are very prompt in getting you the refills that you ask for as well as bringing out your initial order. The only thing that was odd was that about an hour before they closed they had a last call for more sauce. That was the first time I experienced that and thought it was weird to close off the sauces when the place doesn't close for another hour... They used to have an AYCE option. I can't recall if they still do. I will definitely be back for their broth. It's really good. No lie.

Clean, quick, and all you can eat veggies! I always find this spot a really nice and easy hot pot spot. The veggies are always super fresh and unlimited~ which is really what I like about hot pot. Their sauces are good too~ from not spicy all the way up to very spicy, there are 5 different levels to choose from. Their broth is also free from MSG making it even more healthy and still very delicious.

I really like vegetables so the buffet style works great for me. Service is also good with the buttons by the seats.

I've been here a couple of times and I've enjoyed both times. There's another location off of satellite blvd. with the same name, (not sure if they're affiliated with one another). They offer a lunch special on weekdays. $10.99 for regular beef platter which includes a plate of mixed veggies and glass noodles and a plate of thinly sliced beef. The way shabu shabu works is they give you a pot of broth and you cook your food in it. It's basically like asian style fondue. They have a sauce bar that you use to accompany your meats/veggies. They offer to make the sauce here for you. You can either get mild, spicy or really spicy. I like my sauce somewhere in between spicy and really spicy. You can either order items a la carte but I like to order the platters for the variety. The service here is good. There's a call button at every table if you need your server for any reason but the servers are pretty attentive so I didn't have to use the button either time I've dined here. I'll definitely be back!

The seafood tower is a true showstopper: lobster, crab, oysters, and all the right accompaniments, beautifully presented and genuinely fresh. You can taste the care in the sourcing. The crab claws were tender and sweet, and the sauces complemented rather than overpowered -- the old, honest way, just as it should be. The space itself is bright, airy, and modern, with a relaxed coastal feel. It's spacious, clean, and thoughtfully designed, and the outdoor seating with open windows in warmer weather is a wonderful touch -- inviting, easy, and made for lingering meals. They sell gator and crawfish. We came to purchase Fried Catfish which is served with a side. We ordered the veggies which consist of (1) corn, a half potato and broccoli in seasoned butter sauce. Once we arrived we saw they had Boiled Shrimp with corn and potato and my hubby wanted the Garlic Noodles with heavy season potatoes, sausage and (1) corn on the Cobb. However, my hubby was disappointed that the noodles looked and tasted like Ramen Noodles! He is from Cali, Bay Area and knows ethnic food and what is not what it is. So we want order that ever again. The Fried Catfish and Perch was delicious. The Fried Catfish was the winner overall! It was flaky fresh and cooked to perfection!! We will definitely return to order it with vegetables or try the fries. The young man at the register was friendly and helpful. The space is huge. You can have a large party of people come and eat. They also cater and have private rooms. If it wasn't too cold, we would have sat on the patio. There were heaters with wood in place, but we went home to eat.

I substituted the sausage for more shrimp and added noodles. Overall, the food tasted good; the noodles were seasoned well. I would suggest additional seasoning options. They only offer garlic butter and cajun butter--you may combine the two (Vintage Butter). Otherwise, it's a good quality boil. I didn't discover the missing broccoli until I got home. I like that take-out orders are packaged in a pan. Remind staff to include bib and gloves because I was not given any!

I attempted to order the crab and spinach dip with the garlic bread like I typically do at other locations, and my server told me if I were to order it with the garlic bread, it would be an additional charge and I would only get two. I was shocked. I've ordered that and other locations, and that was my first time hearing that I would be charged extra to swap out the bread and then on top of that only receive two pieces. I ordered the Texas redfish pontchartrain with mashed potatoes. I asked if I could add cheese, and I was told yes; however, when it came, there was no cheese, and our server took so long to return, I didn't even bother. In addition, by that time I was already turned off with the bland fish that had several bones, minimal sauce, and overcooked shrimp. I was extremely displeased. I wish I would have just stuck with a fried dish, such as the chicken tenders and shrimp. That would be a safer choice. Both the fried shrimp and chicken tenders were pretty good, but know that they have a kick. The brownie dessert was pretty good. It was actually the highlight of the evening after a disappointing meal. I will never return to this location.
