They will not allow my daughter to a 6 year old to come in the restaurant have any wings or take-out order they discriminate against children and families who live in the area and just want to have some dinner I will never be going to them again and I will give them a thumbs down for being insulting to my daughter and myself they wouldn't allow us to have nothing to eat whatsoever I couldn't even take a take out order to be considerate to a 6 year old to have dinner they told us to take her somewhere else read more

The wings are still some of the best, if not THE best, in the city. However, some recent service issues calls for a downgrade here. The bar was only staffed with two people, a bartender and a drunk woman in the kitchen 'nook'. The woman in the kitchen did only one order at a time, so it took over 30 minutes for the food to come. She would then deliver the orders to the tables herself, and bark at people at the tables to take the plates from her because she was incapable (too drunk) of setting them on the tables herself. It seemed that a group of her friends were at the bar buying her shots, which she repeatedly stepped out of the kitchen to do despite the backlog in food orders. Hopefully the expanded kitchen will resolve the food delays, but I don't see how that can fix the staffing issue. read more

Bar is often very crowded and noisy. the music is way to loud for any kind of reasonable conversation. It can feel old and dirty. but the wings. the wings will make you see God. read more

You will wait. The wings will be delicious. Deal with it. With the new kitchen wait times are certainly shorter and there is more seating obviously. All the staff are friendly though I come here most weeks. read more

BEST. WINGS. EVER. Crispy outside, juicy inside, and super flavorful (with a bit of a kick). Only downside is it gets super crowded in the evening and the wait for wings can be close to an hour. If you're really craving them and don't want to deal with the crowd, order takeout! read more

Horrible service! We walked in at 5pm on a Wed. Ordered, and waited 60 min. for our food. 2 other groups walked in after us and were served first. The girl cooking the food was rude and wasted, drinking what appeared to be straight booze, while cooking. She argued with us when she dropped the food off. Bartenders not helpful. Great wings tho!! read more

Kids are not allowed here. This is a bar that serves food so no one under 21 is allowed. Make sure you get the wings. They are amazing.

Far away the best wings I've ever had. I wish I could figure out the sauce recipe, but I'm no food scientist. I was never a wing guy until I went to Points East - now I'm hooked. Nothing else compares to this place when it comes to wings. The wings aren't cheap - even on Thursday "wing night" - but I just can't get enough of them. The bartenders are very kind and helpful, but I can't say the same about the owner. *UPDATE* Although these wings remain awesome - the fact that I pay more for 18 wings (currently $16.25 + additional sauce charge) than I do for a lobster roll is not right. YOU LOSE A STAR. read more

Points East is my favorite bar in the neighborhood. It's a great place to watch a sporting event or meet for a beer with friends after work. It's casual, comfortable and the food's actually pretty good. Most recently I visited Points East to watch the Brewers & Packers games. The bar was FILLED with sports fans which was exactly the atmosphere we wanted. We got a table right in front of the bar and all at the table were easily able to see multiple TVs. The sound was turned on for one game or the other during our entire visit which was excellent since lots of bars won't turn the sound on. We even made lots of new friends to high-five after every score! Points East had some great pitcher specials and we were all happy with just enjoying our beers. After being there for a few hours, we decided to order some food. I got a veggie burger (so happy that's on the menu) and fries. I received exactly what I expected from a bar. It was just right. Another friend ordered the Brat Patty and deemed it "good," and someone else ordered mozzarella sticks which were also "good." So not the best food on the planet, but exactly what you want from a bar. I've heard the wings are excellent and unique because they use a rub rather than a sauce. If you're looking for a great place to watch a game, I highly recommend Points East Pub. read more

You will go and you will wait, but here's how to win at Point's East. Find a table. That's the hard part. Put in your order immediately. Best to do it at the bar. Definitely definitely get the wings, but smart to get some apps because you otherwise you are in for a long wait (like an hour at least) before food makes it into your mouth hole. I recommend the fried pickles and the mozz sticks - the mozz were done in wonton style (my fave) and the fried pickles could compete with the best of 'em. Once your order is in, then relax, grab a pitcher, chat with your friends like you like them or watch the sport game on tv like you don't, drink your beers, eat your apps, and hang while you eagerly anticipate the majesty that awaits. I'm talkin about DAT WING. What is it about that wing that cited it as one of the best wings in the country (Thrillist): 1) Fry 2) Sauce holy crap there's a third step 3) CHAR GRILL Fried-Sauced-Grilled leaves all the crunch of the fry, all the flavor of the sauce, and the gorgeous smoke of the grill, eliminating some of the gunky-sauce texture and flavor-locking it under a sweet sear. We ordered 36 wings for 5 people after a bunch of apps and beers, and I devoured more than my fair share. Points East, you are my new Milwaukee destination-spot. Anybody who thinks these wings are mediocre needs to grow a new wing palette. Take it from a wing connoisseur, these wings are perfection and don't let anyone tell you otherwise. read more

I would rate 10 (*********) for their most delicious wings! Their dry rub flavor is unique in its richness, spice level and level to which the meat is cooked. The fact that they are consistent in being best at this makes it so worth to going in back to the same place week after week. The bar tenders are very friendly and they have recently expanded the dining area. The only reason I didn't rate them 5 overall would be that their food and cocktail menu are limited at least during the happy hours I have been there. Overall this is one of the best bars in Milwaukee! read more

Best wings I've had so far in the Milwaukee area, some coworkers and myself have decided to go try some of the best wings in the area and judge for ourselves and can't complain so far! We decided to get there at 5pm on a Tuesday, and while the bar was full the tables were almost empty so no problem finding a spot. Menu is fairly limited but that's not a problem for a place like this, we order a ton of wings and some garlic fries and of course some beer (decent selection for those that want variety). The first order of wings that came out were good but could have been a bit hotter, but you could tell instantly that the flavor was really good. They weren't cold, they just weren't hot. The garlic fries came out hot and holy garlic, they had a TON of real garlic on them and they were everything you would want. Second order of wings came out and they were piping hot and we ate more than we should have. I thought it was better than Tomken's in West Allis, not by a lot though. read more

Covid19 process review. There takeout process is solid. They ask for your make and model of car and are efficient and do the process well. Food was great and the take out process was well done. read more

The wings are super good, I want to be clear here. However, taking an hour from ordering for the wings to come out is wild, especially without any heads up. The bartender told us this was the norm, but there were definitely people who showed up at tables around us after we ordered and had their wings within 20 minutes. Not a great experience. read more

This Pub was literally "Built on a Wing and a Prayer!" Their wings are grilled to perfection and very flavorful. I couldn't stop eat them! You can taste the smoky flavor in EVERY bite! read more

Best wings ever! Yes, you will probably have to wait at least an hour to get them but it's well worth it!

Went back and gave them another try and I am really glad I did, the wings really live up to the hype after all. Good whiskey and beer selection, good ambiance, and a friendly bartender made it a good experience. read more

Went for their awesome wings and over an hour later..no food..really..staff should be more respectful of their patrons and explain why there is a delay! read more

Believe the hype! Glad I did! The wings are amazing. I actually saw someone dump their wings in ranch and I couldn't believe my eyes. Anyway ... the service (we sat at the bar) was great. I still love this place. The wings always turn out the same...delicious. They flash fry them, then grill them. Grilled wings? I've never heard of another place that does this, but they do, and man are they good. Sure the wait can be long, but man are they good. My only gripe is when I arrive at prime dinner hour and have to sit and watch the wings get served to all the tables around me :( The place is a smaller cozy place, so seating can be difficult for large groups, but there are a ton of tvs and usually if you give it some time, you can get tables to seat your whole group. read more

This is mainly to cover the Wings at Points East. I, like many people, love wings. I like going somewhere new on a recommendation and I like attending events where they are showcased. I discovered Points East at Milwaukee Wing Fest. While they weren't my hands down favorite they made a good wing. When you order wings here there are no choices outside how many you are getting. So you might want to stick with 12 per person or 18 if you have a larger appetite. Minus one star for lack of variety when it comes to wings. I don't need a full warehouse of flavors but an additional option or two would be nice. The final removal of star comes in customer service. As you may have read you order from the bar. My first experience the bar was loud. It wasn't a particularly busy Saturday afternoon. I went at what i thought was a good hour (about 2pm). The music was so loud that it was not possible to communicate. I'm not even stretching the truth as some angry customers often do. My lady gave up talking because we literally couldn't hear each other. This actually resulted in a problem. After placing the order 12 wings a piece I decided a minute or two later that I would like to add another 6 on to make it one 12 and one 18. The bartender looked mad and muttered something about them cooking. It didn't register in my mind that he heard "one 18" part of my sentence and that's all we got. I was wondering why dropping another 6 would be a problem. Not a big deal as my dining partner lost her appetite and only ate about 6. Another time back I went with a buddy for lunch. Not as loud this time but the wings tasted like the gas they were cooked on. Right there is the nail in the coffin. The most inept person with a gas Weber can usually avoid this problem. Especially since they do these constantly it should be a non issue. Parking while not always the best in these areas can be overcome by parking in the Pick N Save across the street and walking over. When the wings are done properly they are pretty good. Not the best in the world but pretty good. The service isn't good and there are no other choices in terms of sauces. To compare TomKen's when they aren't doing a variety of sauces on Monday's and Thursdays still over a total of four which should be the minimum standard. read more

WING-A-DING-DING. Points East wins -- best wings in Milwaukee, hands down. I visited on a recent Wednesday evening to consume mass quantities of these deep fried delicious fowl friends and to quaff some brew with some fellow dude-ites. Wow, was it crowded and loud. I usually need to be in a different state of mind for a visit to such a place but nothing was stopping me from flying in to wing city, MKE. Ordered: at the bar, 36 wings, plus plenty of PBR to wash them down. Wait time: one hour, but oh so worth it (we arrived at 7:30, thus the long wait...rookies!) Killing time: chatting with the bartenders (extremely friendly) about the history, the wings, etc. We were able to watch the Bucks, a hockey game, and college basketball at the same time thanks to the three TVs. Wait, was this some mystical fantasy land? Beer, wings, and sports?!? Watched closely: the process of the wing-cooking. Flash fried, then grilled, and removed at just the right time. The flavor was fantastic; just the right amount of crispiness combined with a hot, juicy center. Left behind were our graveyard of chicken bones and a dozen empty bottles. Taken home were 4 leftovers for my wife (hey, I'm no animal)! Other things to note: Yes, it takes a while to cook the wings -- please be patient! Ask questions of the fine folks working; they are more than happy to help you decide. Three big televisions mounted above the bar with your choice of satellite-guided sports viewing. Points East, you've got a new fan. If only this place was located closer to the softball/kickball diamonds...I'd be here every week! read more

As everyone and their brother will tell you, these are among the best wings in Milwaukee. For the record, Garibaldis in Bay View are just as good and way less crowded, but Points East is great for other reasons as well. The garlic fries are so good, and perfect for helping diffuse the spiciness of the wings. They also have a great selection of beer; you can get almost anything you want on tap or in the bottle. They have a lot of other menu options to choose from as well, but trust me: wings and garlic fries. A few notes: it's almost always packed, but get there before 6 or at open on weekends and you have a better chance of getting food in under an hour. The food is worth the wait. You can't get it to go, but if you do a respectable job eating as much as you can, they will give you a box for leftovers. If you haven't been - give it a try. One of the best joints in the city all around. read more

I simply love this place. Their wings are the best part, worth the wait. On the spicier side so be really for a little kick. I order the bigger basket (with a pitcher of beer of course) and take wings I can't finish home to throw on a salad the next day. read more

Points East Pub - Love the wings here - Sports Bars Near Me - Milwaukee, Wisconsin

The wings here are some of the best around. However, please be aware that these are not your average thumb-sized winglets that are smothered in sauce. These wings are different. They're larger than average and are grilled. The rub makes them flavorful and dry. Also, be prepared to wait a while, because the wings are a popular item. They also have crinkle cut sweet potato fries that are awesome. You can pass the time drinking some of their nice tap beers while you wait. If you're into the more mainstream beers, they had $2 Pabst bottles the last time I was there (Wednesday, I think). Overall, this place is great to visit with friends and have some wings and beers. Be prepared to wait for your food if it is busy. Even still, it's worth trying even once. They may not be your 'traditional' buffalo hot wings, but they're definitely tasty. read more

I'm sure just about every review on here comments on the wings. They are awesome and hands down the best wings in the city. The only reason this doesn't get the 5th star is the time it takes to get your food. It usually takes about an hour. I'm not sure wether they actually take that long or if they are making sure you order another beer or drink before your wings come. Be prepared to get wings in about an hour. 30 minutes for devouring. And 15 more to muster the energy to move after. This place could make a lot more money if they catered. I would probably order every Sunday during football season. read more

Wings. No more need to be said as they speak for themselves if you've tried them. One kind and its perfection.

I had lunch here, and dinner down the street. I got the full tour of the 1500 block of Jackson. Wings. Dude, wings. Like, THE best wings I've ever had. Fried -then-Sauced-then-Grilled. Perfection, and heaven, and. Dude. Wings. Also, incredible selection of beers, plus all those Wisconsin-only brews folks in the other states can NOT get enough of. Huge liquor selection too. I was impressed. read more

My heart skips a beat every time I think of this bar. It is by far my favorite place in Milwaukee to just unwind, get together with a group of friends and throw back a few (or12) PBR's. Favorite night of the week to visit this amazing bar is, in my mind, Mondays. They have the best $1.25 Chicken tacos! They are to die for! Everyone rants and raves about their chicken wings but I just can't get enough of these tacos. They also come in beef, but I'm not a fan. (Decide for yourself) The tortillas are perfectly grilled and the chicken is the freshest I've ever tasted. The veggies taste like they were taken right from a garden and plopped freshly on this delicious taco. Now you know why my Yelp last meal is non other than the Dollar chicken tacos. It's also cheap Mexican beer night, too. Enjoy! I also do love the sweet potato fries, they are tasty. Wing night is not all its chalked up to be. While the wings are mighty tasty, they just aren't that CHEAP on wing night? Better save that show for some BW3's action, now those are some cheap wings! Wednesdays would be my second favorite night of the week because it's DOLLAR PBR's. You can't go wrong for a dollar. I say eat the chicken tacos..... or you'll be sorry you didn't. (Erika is the best bar tender too...and her iPod music list is off the charts wonderful) read more

I went in there for the famous chicken wings, they were dry & not moist,I'm very unsatisfied with them,Another thing is that I was disappointed because their is a lot of booze but limited options for someone not looking to drink that day,I ordered the cola & I would have to say it was the worse cola ,I've ever drank. The only positive thing I can say is that the garlic fries were decent.I won't ever return to this place of business again. read more

Yum. Yum. Yum. I LOVE these wings!!!! They are perfectly spicy and have a fantastic flavor but almost taste like a dry rub since they are grilled after sauces. A real treat for the tastebuds. Fries are also battered and burgers are perfectly juicy. I have nothing bad to say about this food. I would note though that you have to be 21 to get in so don't bring any minors! read more

The most disappointing thing ever! My husband and I stopped in on a Saturday evening at 7:45pm with our 18 year old son for some wings... Our son was carded, and since he is not 21, we were turned away. This is not the Wisconsin way! Children with their parents should not be turned away. Isn't our money green enough? read more

One of my favorite bars. Wings are great if you are fine with just a little kick and grilled. No breading or sauce options, but they come out cooked perfect each time. Their tacos are awesome as well. Great selection of spirits and beers on tap as well. Enjoy. read more

Awesome wings! Hard to order a drink when it crowded, so order two at a time. I had been here many times and I must say the wings are excellent, some of the best in all of Milwaukee! When you come here it's going to be busy, crowded, there is going to be a wait for food, and when the food finally arrives you're going to be okay with the wait because it will be delicious! If you have not already you need to get down here and give it a try. read more

Read the reviews, had to try the wings. Sadly, it took about an hour (spent at another bar, thankfully) to find a table to sit at. Then, I was told at the time of my order that it would be about an hour before the food was ready. Having read that in previous reviews, I wasn't shocked, just a little put off. An hour? For wings and a grilled cheese sandwich? Well, almost. 50 minutes later, they were on the table. And...they were great! Spicy, smoky, definitely some of the better hot wings I have enjoyed. Instead of being saucy, they are grilled and have a nice crispy char on them. Unique. Delicious. Worth the wait? Yes, just order a drink and relax. A bit of a ridiculous wait? Yes, but I get the impression these guys don't care. Its just the business model, and I am ok with it. Apparently, so are most other people who come here. Can't award five stars, though, although the wings deserve it. 4.5? read more

Best wings in all of milwaukee! I've gone here numerous times and the wings never disappoint. They are absolutely worth the wait. Get 18...trust me. 12 won't do the trick! I bring all of my Chicago friends to Points East to show them what they are missing. This bar is also a very under rated sports bar. Numerous tvs that usually play multiple games. Bathrooms are being renovated...MUCH needed. read more

This place is in the running for *that* spot - a regular drop in locale for a weeknight. Only my second night in town so I will have to see what it's like on a weekend sometime. I stopped here last night for some NBA finals action and sat at the bar. Great atmosphere and solid rotating beer selection. If you can't find a beer you like in bottle or draft, you're strange. Now onto the food. I ordered a beer from their rotating draft list (which I saw in advance online. love that) and put in an order for a dozen wings and some sweet potato fries (NOTE THAT THEY DO NOT DO TO GO ORDERS ON THEIR WINGS!). Given that I wasn't in a hurry, waiting really didn't bother me. Their wings took a bit because they fry them and then grill them with sauce (not actually dry rub but it's hard to know unless you find out from the staff). They were an excellent change of pace from regular "wings" and the sweet potato fries are a perfect combo to go with them. Might be a bit much food for a normal person but I was starved. Service was excellent. Friendly staff that made sure I had what I needed, without waiting. They've earned my business for the long haul - so excited that it's only a 5 minute walk away. read more
