Normally I have no problem with getting food from Poblano Mexican Grill but this my third time coming here and may be my last. I used to love this location as I felt it was better than Chipotle in terms of value and taste. I'm so disappointed I won't be able to return after my experience today. I went with a coworker to get lunch. I overheard the staff speaking about me negatively in Spanish to one another and making jokes. I can speak and understand Spanish. Passed this place more times than I can count. I haven't been inside but my friend picked up food to go. I went with a steak fajita. The flavors were ummm, nice, taste like something you would make at home. Although flavorful, the meat was cheap and fatty, almost didn't taste like steak. This is our go-to Mexican place for lunch during work. It's fast, convenient, and the guys working there are super nice. They have huge portions and is pretty cheap! The setup is the same as chipotle: order at the counter, they build your meal, you pay, and can either sit down or take it to go. We sat down to eat once inside, but usually take it to go. The last few times I've gotten a bowl. They'll put a warm tortilla on the side if you ask for one which is nice. They'll also do a "salad bowl" for you if you ask for a bowl with no rice and extra lettuce. The ingredients are fresh, and the chicken is always very juicy. The hot salsa is pretty spicy so be careful! Only negative is the sour cream seems pretty liquid and thin. Today I was feeling adventurous and got the chicken taquitos. They were SO good. Flavorful and crunchy. They must be made ahead of time and heated up because it only took a few minutes. They are also not oily so they must be baked (I think). The inside is shredded chicken, cheese, and a little red onion and the lettuce, pico, and sour cream on the side definitely make it. Each taquito was about 3-4 inches. Only downside is the platter didn't come with more! I would recommend getting something additional on the side because they're not very filling. The bowls are usually 2 meals for me, so the taquitos were like a snack. As for atmosphere, it's pretty basic. The tables are sometimes dirty and the furniture wobbles because of the floor. Food is 4.5 stars, but the restaurant itself is like a 3.5. read more
