We recently had PMC Moving pack up most of our home and load said items into 2 Pods we rented. The crew from PMC are moving machines! They get right down to work upon arrival and work up until everything is packed. I don't think I saw one of them take a break. The items they packed for us were packed well and securely. They are willing to do just about anything you ask of them. They are also a friendly and cheerful bunch of folks. I highly recommend PMC. Unfortunately I felt misled in this experience. When asked for a timing estimate, I was quoted 3-4 hours for a 3 man team at a rate of 209.00. The only reason they said this would change if they had an unusually large amount more of items to move (the gentleman over the phone stated over 30 boxes extra). Of the three employees, one was barley working & the other (the team leader I assume) was not very pleasant near the end, neither was the supervisor who I called. There was one gentleman who worked great, but the one basically dragged everyone down. In fact he would try and drag a furniture piece so slow I came up and said go and grab more things from the truck and slid that item 10 feet in 3 seconds whereas he literally nudged it inch by inch so slowly. Also, I asked this persons help me to pack a tv, he could not move around the tv properly to fit on correctly on his side, I came to him on his side and did it myself. Not something I would expect from someone who works in the moving business. When I brought this up over the phone, the one hardworking team member stuck up for his team, which was pretty cool of him to do. But then mentioned, he isn't in great shape... Why am I paying and helping a guy who is in a high labor intensive job who even his own colleague stated he isn't in great shape. I myself is not hard working and wouldn't hire me to move things. But I would hire me before that gentleman. Also the one mover who was efficient, when he heard from the team leader I commented on the efficiency of the team, he came up to me and confronted me about it, cursing at me while he was at it! As much as I appreciate sticking up for your coworker, coming up to a client in that manner isn't ok. The team leader didn't even bother waiting to leave the premises to start talking about me, in order to avoid a possible conflict. From previous reviews, conflict isn't rare with this company... no specifics on the efficient employee fyi. Before this, I called in, the supervisor on the line said he isn't letting his guys leave without getting a check and I have to call tomorrow for the general manager. So now I had 3 people in my home waiting for me to give payment. He didn't want to make any serious inquiries. It appears he wanted to be done with me after over pricing me. After they left and I felt I could be left alone, I placed a stop payment. And I called the supervisor, only then did he slightly take me more seriously. Then he had the crew who did my move come in on the call in his office. THIS IS BEYOND UNPROFESSIONAL! Not only that, he then told me off saying we deal millionaires and this is ridiculous he has to deal with me. And frankly, that is fantastic you guys have millionaires who have the money to not bother questioning the work ethic & professionalism of you and your team. Maybe stick with them rather then the peasants like me then. I bet millionaires move around a lot, so you should stop working with anyone else but them, I am actually shocked that you had the time to take care of me. I look forward to speaking to the general manager/owner tomorrow to really see if they care about the professionalism & work ethic. Because I want to take care of this asap. To be frank, the biggest issue is the unprofessionalism of the supervisor & team leader. Which I didn't even think would be an issue in the first place. So 1 star for everyone except the mover who was most efficient & cool (till he confronted me) 4 of 5 stars to him. Also, I wish I took a deeper dive into their reviews before going with them. There isn't any middle ground for their reviews. I find it strange that there are so many extreme experiences. I have had a move before that in fact had more inventory to move (loose and boxes) from a location that was on the 2nd floor going down a flight of stairs, no elevator. This team of 3 did the job in 3.5 hours. But I think it helps when all three people work at the same efficientcy. Supervisor said that's a different situation that he can't speak to. Well as a customer, your competition got a 5 star google review. Update: Spoke to the general manager. We needed a moving company quickly because the company we thought we would use did not call us back or make any attempt to contact us after we left a message. I sat down at the computer and read reviews and finally discovered PMC Moving. I left a message and Alex called me right away. We scheduled our "walk-through" for a few days before the quickly-approaching move. He came out and took the time to write down the pieces to be moved and what rooms they would load from at the "exit house" and we discussed the new house layout. Moving day arrived and we were amazed! They arrived when they said they would arrive. They loaded up a 3-bedroom house in record time. They didn't waste time - it was incredible! We all had lunch at the new house and BAM! They unloaded and delivered pieces to the rooms (New house has stairs) without a hitch! I can't say enough good things about these guys! These guys really know how to get your stuff moved, and quickly. Led by John, Matt and Nacho worked at both houses and Jonah helped at the house we left. My bill was according to how many hours the job took, and they worked hard and fast and with care. They filled a 24' and a 16' truck, expertly stuffing whatever belongings we had in there with practically no cavities. A few days before, JJ did a walk through of the house, itemizing and giving me a good estimate of the time that would be involved. Alex, at the office, supplied me with boxes. Moving is SO stressful! Tyler Spencer and Stepan showed up with huge smiles and energy. They clearly got along so well and all were chatty and all had a great sense of humor. They were patient with us and helped us with everything we needed help with. Would there really great spatial ability they were able to help us find places in my mom's new condo where furniture would fit which made that job much easier for us. This movers we're referred to me by my girlfriend. Her mom's new adult senior housing uses them in house . Alex was super professional and nice when we communicated via phone and always would call if he was running late. I only hired them to move my master bedroom and my antique furniture. The crew that came assessed the furniture and went to work . They packed it very well and got it in my new smaller home . It was a challenge going thru my new homes stairs but they did it. I'm not sure if it is actually a specialty, but their help in moving and now clearing out my father's apartment after his death was very easy. The team was, as expected right on time, well-organized and efficient. The move - which ended up having multiple destinations, including donations and dump along with a bit of extra unexpected set up, was seamless. ecently moved from a small apartment in the Shoreline area to an equally small apartment in Lynnwood. Alex was very nice and gave me a quote of $750-900 because I had so few pieces to move. He said the bathroom and kitchen should be packed in about 45 minutes or so, since I am organized and all of my small bathroom and kitchen stuff was already in plastic containers with drawers which could be moved as is. 3 men showed up on moving day. The two young men, AJ and Igor, went right to work. The driver, Paul, mentioned they like tips when he came in! After unloading the truck he started to pack my few dishes, utensils and pots. An older man, he was very slow and when I asked him a couple of questions he brushed me off. I later found that he had simply rolled up the utensils in a piece of packing paper and put them loose in a big box. He did not wrap each of my dishes, but put them together somehow. Also, my framed pictures were packed loosely with no wrapping in a mirror carton. It took 6 hours to pack and move me 30 minutes up the road (freeway). When I was given the bill it was almost double what Alex had said. Paul argued with me and was very rude. He made me very upset. I tipped the young men generously but not Paul! He should not pack anyone's belongings. Needless to say I will not use PMC again. At $189 I expected much better. Why is it so hard to find a good moving company in the Seattle area? read more

We just had PMC to move our piano plus other large items like TVs and dresser. They did a great job and were very professional. They called ahead, showed up on-time with paperwork. The entire move is planned out ahead of time where they looked at the path and each item location. What is nice is that PMC moves the piano AND other items as well, not just piano. They quickly disassembled the piano, move it out without a scratch. Then again, move it in and reassembled. One other cool thing is that Nick pointed me out some dents already exist in the floor that I didn't pay attention. He also showed me a few tips about piano maintenance. Great job team! read more

Over the last two and a half years, we have used PMC three times, moving our mom to an assisted living facility, moving us when we downsized to a much smaller home and the again to move mom to an adult family home. They have been great. They are professional, personable, respectful of the things they are moving, reasonably priced, on time, waste no time and on the whole, know exactly what they are doing. They are the best in dealing with seniors (mom is 90) and were recommended to us by the assisted living facility. Hopefully our moving days are over, but should the need arise, we would definitely call them again. read more

I used PMC for a move of a few bigger items such as a a big safe and piano, among other big items and they were amazing!! The crew i had was John M, Antonio and Bryce. Let me tell you I was amazed they were so quick I didn't even get a chance to go get them lunch! Seriously fast and efficient. Would most definitely use them again. Super nice and were careful with my stuff. I also thought the price was reasonable for me not having to worry about the big heavy items and safety. We recently hired PMC to move us to a retirement home from a second floor walk-up. Moving went well, very professional, but when we returned to our old address the next day to meet with our real estate agent, we found they'd left a six foot tall stack of boxes in the lobby. That's totally understandable; during chaos stuff happens. However, when we called to ask them to finish the move, they refused to do so unless we paid for an extra run! Moreover, they denied ever having been in the lobby and implied that, during the move, someone else had taken the boxes down and left them. Like my wife and I, 79 years old? Fortunately our wonderful real estate agent, Fionnuala O'Sullivan, was able to squeeze our belongings into her little car and take them to our new address. So we'll give PMC plus five stars for the move itself; minus five stars for denying responsibility, accusing the customer of making their mistake, and trying to make us pay for it. Net result: zero stars. To be fair, they later apologized, though not til after a lot of stress and drama, so we'll give them one star for that. PMC has good moving skills but terrible business practices. Supervise them closely. read more

However, when the job completed, the crew charged me at a full price. He told me that he didn't know anything about the agreeable deal. Seriously?He was right next to me while I was talking to his boss!! After the moving, I tried to call the owner for clarification. He never answered the phone and returned my call. If a company cannot cut their price, it's okay to be firm upfront to their customers. Please don't try to win business by pleasing the customer, but never fulfill their promises. If you want a great great team choose this company. Had my piano moved today from a storage company. The team had to deal with some hassles getting my piano from storage, even after many phone calls by myself and the moving company to have piano ready at a bay door for pick-up. The team handled and told me "not to worry we will take care of it", a hour later my piano was moved out. The 3 men who moved the piano keep me up to date on everything going on and when they would be at the house. Not only did they make record time to the house they did not leave until the piano was in position but also help with fixing a broken wheel ( broke by storage unit). This is the worst moving company I can possibly imagine. We got a bid for the job for a full pack and a move. When I spoke to the owner he said I could save some off the bid by packing some things myself. My husband and I packed most of our rooms but wanted the movers to pack some, When they came to pack they arrived late and left early without completing the pack. The next day for the move two of the crew left and only one person was moving our things into our new home for over an hour. When the owner came he was extremely rude to both my husband and myself. PMC was one of only two movers recommended by the assisted living community my Dad was living in. I needed to move him into a memory care unit across town without much notice. From my first phone call with JJ I was given a very accurate estimate of time and cost. He took meticulous notes and the crew came prepared and on time. It was raining and before they began work they were immediately presented with a problem. A different marketing person from the community had scheduled another move at the same time and she told my movers they would have to use another elevator at the other end of the building, although my Dad's apartment was right next to the elevator they had planned to use. My goods would probably get wet and the cost of the move would likely be more than the quote. JJ called me to tell me about this problem. By the time the movers got up to the apartment they had resolved this potentially disastrous problem directly with the other moving company! That was a win! One of the movers took the initiative without delay and my move went ahead as planned. They were quick, personable and professional. I loved that they walked in with a smile and a can do attitude! They got the job done in about 2 hours (they worked very carefully and quickly) plus 15 min travel time and 25 min return travel time for a total of about $470. This was just slightly higher than the anticipated high level estimate but they also took on a few more boxes than we originally thought. Moving is a very important and personal thing. Having the process progress in a timely and professional fashion is crucial. Someone is waiting to move in as you leave. An entire succession of people depend on it. PMC never gave me any paperwork, nor an email. They never returned calls on time, if at all. They always had an excuse. My moving date was three days from now. I still haven't heard from them. They said they would call me two days ago to go over details. I heard nothing. I wouldn't believe the praises in the Yelp review. Like another Yelp reviewer, I think PMC got friends and family to write their reviews. There price is extraordinarily lower than any other quotes I had. I assume they would have charged much, much more than they said. I don't think they could have moved what I had in the time they alloted. They seem to be a catastrophe from one end to another. Thank goodness a friend put me in touch with a truly professional moving company with kind, sincere humans...not rushed, uncaring voices. The new movers reviewed my belongings in person, gave me a quote (in line with industry standards), went over all the details, laid out a feasible plan, and juggled their schedule to fit me in. I think this last part was based on the fact that my friend had given them my number and they had forgotten to call. They felt it was in someway their fault. Which I didn't feel it was at all. I hadn't called them. I thought I had found a mover (PMC) and wanted to honor my conversation with PMC. Silly me! PMC has no commitment to their clients and certainly no honor. PMC moving crushed it for my move. I called these guys with less than 24 hours notice for a 5 hour move. They called me back when they said. They showed up on time. Crew Dan and Brian had awesome can do attitudes all day and they ran when empty handed. I will recommend these guys to my friends and family and any yelp reader. We used this company in July for a local move. The owner is friendly and professional. However, the crew that we had ended up breaking some items, scuffed some walls and some valuables (things from trips to Europe, a check Gift Certificate, etc.) turned up missing. Very few boxes were labeled (some were labled TLO - Top Load Only but that is it, and one box for the kitchen was labeled. So everything in boxes was just put in whatever room as best it could be determined what was inside (the dish packs we took at guess at and they went close to the kitchen everything else was a mess). A hired helper, and anyone unpacking or trying to find anything were appalled at the amount of work that it took to unpack and organize the mess. I myself, am finally able to finish unpacking after being temporarily disabled, and I get increasingly upset and realize what others were complaining about with every box that I look into. There also appeared to be a disconnect with how many hours we had agreed up front to pay for and there was a hurried rush once the packing at the old house was completed. We had agreed on more than enough hours for packing and all of the moving. Also, if you are offered to use the garment boxes, don't unless you want to have to unpack them as soon as you arrive at your destination or pay for them. The owner was nice enough to work with us on this and we were able to return them a few days later. I wrote to the owner and outlined these issues but never heard back. I would not ever use this company again, and would not recommend them. Lastly, if the crew recommends a friend to help with move out cleaning - DO NOT use their friend or the mother or anyone else. Hire a professional company that you can hold liable if they don't do the work they are supposed to do. We will never make this mistake again. After paying $15/hour cash, and 12 HOURS! of "cleaning" by the recommended friend and her mother of the crew lead, between the two of them on two separate days, the landlords were still extremely unhappy with the cleaning. A very basic sweep/cleanout was requested, and not even that was done. read more

I hired PMC based on a recommendation from the assisted living facility in Bellevue, to which I was moving my mom. They were able to move her furniture and all of her boxes on short notice, within a couple of days. That was a great benefit. Their quote was reasonable-- within the range of some Angie's List promotions from other movers. They were on time, polite, efficient, and great to work with. They were very attentive to detail, wrapping and protecting all corners of furniture. An apprentice did break a lamp by mistake-- I'm sure the company will reimburse us. When they ran into some delays at the assisted living facility, they did not end up charging us for that extra time. That's first class. Awesome crew, three guys, showed up a little late but had a job before ours and kept us in the loop so we knew when they would be there. Squeezed us in, super quick, efficient, nice, and respected all of our things. We packed ourselves and they moved everything. We had antiques that were family heirlooms and they were careful with everything, even used cardboard to protect a secretary with a glass front, wrapped everything in plastic wrap. I moved by PMC yesterday from Marysville to Bellingham. PROS: I was granted a discount becuz I moved midweek. Another becuz i am a return customer from 3 yrs ago. The 1st time there were hidden charges, $2400 with a piano. I've downsized. This move $1200, an hour away. All belongings arrived not a scratch. I did 95% of the packing myself. The 3 men loaded the truck. 2 men unloaded. They were strong, fast, very polite. Cons: 1) One mover was a smoker so now both homes have smoke smell. Tell JJ or Alex you don't want anyone who smokes at all to move you. 2) the 2 movers said there was a delay on I-5 stopping at the weigh station. A line. Weighing. Inspection inside truck. Customer pays for that. I didn't know that could happen. 3) a mover told me in the morning they work for tips. I didn't know that either. Be prepared. CONCLUSION: i feel good about PMC and recommend PMC. They worked hard, efficiently, knew their stuff. No damage. Fair price close to the estimate. Being close to the estimate is important to me. One moving company recommended to me by a top Everett realtor who moves by weight not time quoted me at $1800; plus they said I might have to stay in a motel. No way. Wow! Worth every penny! I arranged for the movers to come several weeks in advance and spoke with Alex. After arranging for service, he said he would check back before the move to ensure all was on track. He did just that, and called again the day before the big move to confirm. A four man crew showed up at my house as scheduled and quickly and carefully loaded all my possessions into the truck, taking special care with antique items. They wrapped every single peice of furniture. My 2000 square foot house was loaded and ready for transport in 1 1/2 hours! The crew met me at my new house and quickly unloaded with out one single ding in the wall or my furniture! They placed furniture exactly where I directed and even took the time to put furniture pads on all my furniture so as not to scratch my wood floors. Every crew member was courteous and very patient with my friends and neighbors who stopped in during the move and kindly rearranged furniture when requested. They even unloaded my car! They booked appointment for two labor and truck at $100 but on actual moving day 5-6 people come to house and they will charge amount for each person. I lost jewelry from suitcase.
