Pleasantly surprised when trying out Leo from plumbing 1 builders. He was very friendly over the phone and provided a very reasonable quote for clearing out my washer/utility sink drain that was backing up. Communication: 5 stars. -Called back promptly with quote and said he would be available by 4pm. Texted before he headed over providing est drive time. Price: 5 stars Very affordable compared to other quotes given it was a Saturday evening. Quality: 5 stars Not only was Leo super friendly and professional, we struck up a conversation the whole time he and his associate were working. Felt like having a friend over doing the work. Wasn't sure if I should have left them alone to work but we were having a great time chatting. Kept me in the loop of what they were doing when it didn't seem like the clog was just at the sink drain and decided to snake the vent drain all the way down to the main sewer line and poof clogged sink drained quickly. I'll definitely be calling Leo back for my future upgrades and referring him to anyone that needs his services. read more

I had a major plumbing issue in my bathroom that required a new pipe to be installed underground. It was a major operation and Leo and his crew fixed it without having to tear up the rest of my house. It was pretty amazing to watch. They also showed up when they said they would, cleaned up after themselves and were a pleasure to have around (give the circumstance). read more

Leo was scheduled by my father's landlord to take a diagnose and fix the plumbing issue. The first appointment he was late over an hour and did not provide any updates. He did not make it to the second appointment because I told him we had to reschedule. We scheduled it for 10AM and I sent him a message at 11AM after he did not arrive and provided no updates. I would not recommend this plumber if you value your time. read more

I called Leo's Plumbing Service today for an emergency sink evaluation/appointment since I noticed there was something wrong with my sink. The hot water wouldn't come out. Leo told me that he could arrive in 30 minutes, the same day! When he got here he found out pretty quickly what was wrong with my sink (barely anything) and all was done in less than 10 minutes. BEWARE: There is an imposter out there, trying to pose as Leo online. He uses the same company name in hopes to swindle his customers or anyone who may need him. Let it be known that this is the one and ONLY true Leo's Plumbing Service! Outstanding and Fantastic service! Five stars all the way!! read more

Leo is a very personable person with great work ethic . He completed the job before our scheduled ending time and was very communicative !

Sink backed up into the laundry room and kitchen. Tony came on time and fixed the problem, working with the heavy clean out equipment on the roof during a hot summer day. Thanks for your hard work! read more

Today was the 2nd or 3rd time of hiring Leo for minor plumbing issues. Today we had sputtering water...he came within an hour, established that it was just air in the pipes due to EBMUD installing a new water meter...took him 5 minutes and he didn't charge me a dime. The other times he did charge us, but very reasonably... he's worth every penny, and you won't get anyone skilled who is as responsive and speedy! :) highly recommend. read more

On a Sunday night water started flowing into our garage from our downstairs shower. Our property management company contacted Leo's Plumbing Service who sent Tony out to assess our issue. He was very thorough, took his time unclogging the blockage and re-checked everything before leaving. He also explained what caused the issue and what next steps would be if this initial fix didn't resolve it completely. I really appreciated him taking his time and not trying to perform work that didn't need to be done while also informing us of the full issue. read more

I came across Leo on Craigslist. I had a very difficult job where I needed the washing machine plumbing moved from the kitchen to the garage. Considering there was no plumbing or clean out drain in the garage, pipes needed to be ran and concrete needed to be dug up. After meeting with 8 plumbers I went with Leo because he seemed the most knowledgeable and personable. I don't regret it. He did a great job for a great price. Also, his brother is a handy man. Plumber + Handyman = Great team. read more

We had a plumbing emergency on a Sunday night where a faucet would not shut off and the valve underneath the sink would not shut off, leaving the water running continuously. We called a number of plumbers but no one could come out. Leo's Plumbing Service came out on very short notice and fixed it for a very reasonable price. Thank you! read more

These guys saved us! A certain tree company we hired (I won't mention them by name) broke through our water main that left us with no water service to our house. Leo came out the same day and gave us a quote to replace the line from our street meter to our house. He was one of three quotes that we received and although his was the highest estimate - we chose to go with him because of his attitude, experience, confidence and his ability to get us water to our house through a temporary fix ASAP while his crew prepped for the real work. Everyone was punctual, social and very friendly. They worked very efficiently to get us our permanent water line replacement. They did a great job working through troublesome tree root systems and did great cleaning up after the job was complete. We liked him so much, we immediately hired him to install a gas shut off valve as part of our earthquake preparedness. I highly recommend Leo's Plumbing Services! read more

I have used Leo's Plumbing twice. Once to replace a shower cartridge and once to unclog the kitchen sink drain. Both times Antoni from Leo's arrived quickly, completed the job in a timely fashion and was courteous and honest. In the past we had another company do an emergency clog removal - they charged us $1200. Leo's found a clean out that the other company overlooked, removed the clog and ran the auger to the street for under $200. The first company told us we needed to look into replacing all of our drain pipes and our sewer pipe. Antoni from Leo's walked us through what actually would need to happen and on what time line (the pipes under the house are fine for now and the sewer pipe is something to keep an eye on but not an immediate concern). He also gave us maintenance tips for keeping the system clean. Leo's Plumbing is trustworthy, honest, fast and affordable. Hire them! read more

Leo was referred to me by one of my friends - i really don't know much about plumbing and sewer systems - so I was afraid i would pay a lot of money - Leo came and unclogged my sewer drain - and it is all working perfectly - he did all under an hour so my bill was not as huge as i expected - thanks Leo... read more

We have a root problem in our main sewer line and my wife just called out another company that charges $88 to try and unblock it. Their "snake" equipment was only 100ft long and did not have the proper cutting capability. The drain remained blocked. We called Leo and he showed up on time at 540AM with a 150ft long snake that has a root-destroying cutting bit on it. Leo blasted through the blockage and got our system working again for $120. This time I noticed more about his operation; he has a ten year old van that looks brand new, and he obviously cares well for his equipment. He is polite and punctual. His pricing is $30 more than the cheapest you'll find, but half what Roto Rooter and some others will charge. In short, this is the guy you want to call for drain service in San Mateo and nearby areas. read more

I have been working with Leo for a number of years. He has worked on drain problems and new plumbing for a remodels for me. Very happy with his work. Been referring him to my clients as well and they have been very pleased with his work and price. I would absolutely recommend him for a plumbing job. read more

I was in need of a plumber on Saturday for a small toilet tank job. I didn't want to go through the online choices such as Angie's list etc. due to the plumber would be too expensive for this small job and may want overtime rates being its Saturday. I decided to go through Yelp for a plumber in my area. I came across Leo's Plumbing I read the reviews and they seemed to be very honest; not like some reviews on other companies pages that appeared it was a friends /relative who wrote their review. I decided to give Leo a call; to my surprise he answered the phone right away. I explained what I needed done and how small of a job it was I was surprised when he said he'd be at my home after he completed the current job he quoted me a very reasonable rate. He arrived at the time he said he would he was very courteous at the door he removed his shoes before entering my home. He completed the job within 20 minutes and it was done to my satisfaction. Leo was very polite and personable; if you are looking for an experienced, friendly and honest plumber Leo is your man. Thank you Leo and it was my pleasure to do business with you. I will be calling you for any future needs. read more

I had a problem with my kitchen sink the garbage disposal wasn't working, I tried to replace it myself but found out it's just not easy as what I thought, I tried to find somebody online to fix but seems this small job cost quite a little, until I got Leo who came up with a very reasonable quote, he came at exact right time with the right things, get this done professionally, and he even spent some time help me to give my main bathroom a quick fix as well which was not jammed yet but water was running down slow, and Leo only charged me the price of one job. He is a great guy to use without the pressure to worry about big bill if u have plumbing problems here and there, I would like to pin his biz card on my wall and my next possible plumbing job definitely goes to Leo and his folks! read more

Again and again, Leo has saved me! I have had him help at three properties, including my home - for everything from faucet replacements to sewer back-ups. He's definitely the go-to guy! read more

Leo was amazing. We had a scary, severe leak underneath our house at 5:30 on a Friday night. I called him and he came right over--arrived within half an hour. He immediately diagnosed the problem and said that if he didn't have the part he needed, he was going to go straight to the store to get it and come back. Luckily, he did have it and he was able to have it fixed in another 20 minutes--for a reasonable price, too. He was amazing. Highly recommend. Go Leo! read more

Guys! Girls! Gentleman! Ladies! No need to look any further...believe me. First off all, Leo was very nice on the phone and was very punctual. And even nicer when I met him. He was not even going to charge for coming out to look, and he didn't. Water was leaking downstairs when one took a shower. So I changed the stem units for the two-handle hot and cold faucets on the shower. But water was still leaking. I had used the washers supplied with the units and teflon tape to no avail. Busted pipes? Will I have to tear into the wall? Break the ceramic tiles? Retile? Then Leo came to the rescue. Found the problem and fixed it within 30 minutes. And after 5 PM on a Friday. He is very knowledgeable and has a lot of experience and was apparently a manager of a plumbing company for 12 years. You will not find a plumber that is as fair as he is for the least amount of money. Saved me a lot of head ache and lots of money. Others might have had me tear down the whole wall. As I said before, no need to look any further. Don't even bother wasting your time. And don't you worry. Don't have to if you call Leo. read more
