UPDATE THE COMPANY RESPONDED TO MY PHONE CALL AND RETURNED TO ADDRESS THE PROBLEM. The clog has still not cleared so we will need to remove/replace toilet. Since this is not the only toilet, removal/replace is not an emergency. Will do it on Monday. There was no additional charge for the return visit. There will be a charge to remove old/Replace which seems very fair to me. This business is now called NG Rooter and Plumbing. I had this company come to see why upstairs toilet was not flushing properly. The technician, Victor, put a hand snake into the toilet two times. Flushed and water went down, but slower than normal. I said I did not think the flush was powerful enough. Victor said, "It's old." So in less than 5 minutes, he was on his way. 5 flushes later, the toilet still has a blockage. Phone calls and text messages have been ignored. Still waiting. Victor pointed out the phone number on the invoice and said to call if I had any problems. I'm updating my review bc although Emerson did a good job the first time, he stopped picking up/returning our calls or answering text messages when we had a question about plumbing or wanted to ask him about a potential job. He was so professional initially, but now does not seem to be able to respond to our inquiries. Perhaps one of the reasons why is because he picks and chooses what he responds to and doesn't want to waste his time on smaller jobs or jobs that might be too difficult. First time I needed plumbing done as the kitchen sink clogged and I panicked since I knew it was from stuffing too much produce down the food processor drain.. so around 7 PM on a Thursday night (1/9/2020) I saw that USA Rooter and Plumbing was 24/7 service and I called and was answered right away. Told them my situation and was guaranteed if I was not happy with the price after they diagnosed the issue I didn't have to continue with the service. I was scared the price was going to be over a lot of money but it was fairly reasonable especially considering they came within 30 mins of calling, fixed the issue in less than 1.5 hours and everything was good as new. It all started with a kitchen sink that would not drain. Multiple chemical and plunger attempts lead me to use an appliance company that i had used in the past. Unfortunately , they could not remedy the problem due to the fact that the problem was much deeper in the plumbing. The appliance company referred me to USA R/P. Fortunately they were in the area and were able to come to my place within 1 hr. I had used the washing machine before they arrived and turned out that the washing machine drain also backed up. Emerson came out and checked out both my sink and washer drain. Kitchen drain snaked and then my washer drain snake and they also dropped a camera in the drain. Turned out that for one reason or another the pipes had shifted. After placing the camera in drain Emerson showed me were the water all of a sudden leveled out. Drains are supposed to be clear and must sit at an angle for appropriate drainage. With the use the metal detector and camera they were able to pin point the area to be investigated. Namely my closet.This all happened on a Friday and work was set to go for Monday , Tuesday and finally Wed. Monday they excavated the pipes in the concrete and it turned out that one of the pipes was not leveled out more vertically as water goes down hill. The second day they determined that a Y joint should also be replaced because it could be a future problem. So done. Hole was covered with cement carpet replaced and the section of the wall in my closet was replaced and spackled. I did not expect any paint job. Least of my worries. This entire adventure turned out to be an education experience. Emerson explained the entire process of snaking the drains, showing me the problem using the camera (before and after work), showing me the angels of the draining pipes and what was to be repaired and a Y joint preventative repair. Eveyrthing was explained to me several times to make sure i understood. I am more adept of the medical world rather than the plumbing world. And all explanations of the work was appreciated. They were up front with the cost. Answered all my questions. My texts were answered in a timely manner. And they tired to be as neat as possible. And punctual of their appointments. They dug a huge trench in the front of my house left it over night told us they just cleaned off the walkway and the water would go down. they never said that they left the church open and that they filled the trench with water or that they nicked our clean water line so our water ran overnight and it was pretty significant damage so don't go to this company stay away. read more

They are scheduled for today, and I am so excited to be getting our shower fixed, and a new toilet installed. UPDATE: The installation of the toilet was fast and efficient. The shower faucet was a little more complicated in this old house, but Emmerson told me exactly what was going on and how he was going to fix it. Emerson to the rescue again! Emerson and his nephew/trainee, Luis, came out to take care of banging water pipes. They needed to add 2x4s as support for pipe straps. This had to be done in my crawlspace that's about 3' tall at its highest point. They did a great job with the pipe straps (tested out turning water on/off, no more clanging). What wasn't expected was my cat jumping into the crawlspace and walking 100 ft to the other end of the house. Luis crawled his way down there and back with my cat. He fix our clogged bathroom but not all the issues I had with our pipes. We lived in our home 20+ years. We know the history and majority of the rebuild my family did. Charge us a lot for whatever he thinks but insisted we do not need any replacement because its still fairly new. But he got the clog done which could be cheaper. We had work done cheaper and solved the issues and replace pipes for about almost the same amount. Go figure. read more

Last month had to get plumbing pipes fixed at my parents place. The pipes were causing clog on and off for a year and later camera revealed the pipe had cracked. The cracked pipe was under the city street so it was a big job and needed city permit. Called many diff plumbers in in the area for quote. Ended up hiring Emerson and his team from USA Rooter because they had the cheapest quote. Very glad I hired them since they finished the job within 2 days. The only problem was the city took longer then expected to grant the permit but other then that everything went smoothly. The job was done right, the service was great and fast. Paul came same day to snake out a major blockage in the line leading from the house to the street. I tried earlier in the day with my hand powered snake for about an hour and just couldn't break through the clog. Emerson's motor driven snake cleaned it out perfectly in about ten minutes no problem. He seemed very knowledgeable about the use of the equipment and gave me good advice about avoiding any future problems. I had used his service for another difficult clog on one of our toilets in February and I had tried to remove it myself, but I just couldn't clean it out with my snake.
