Had a new washer and dryer delivered and installed but wasn't present when they arrived. The installation guys said we couldn't use the washer because our drain pipe was either blocked or too small. In a bind, I found Nexgen on Yelp and Juan and Jose were at our house within 30 minutes. They ran the washer and checked the drainage points for problems but found none. I've now done two loads of laundry and their analysis was spot on. The level of friendly interaction, clear communication, and professional demeanor and expertise were very impressive. These are gentlemen I want to work with again. read more

Bought a new house and was told the sewer lateral leading to the house had to be replaced. I reached out to 4 different plumbing companies in the area and NextGen was the most thorough when going over the estimate and also a very fair price. So I decided to go with them and I couldn't be happier. They got all needed permits to work on the street in front of my house, did the job in a timely manner and even fixed some separate issues I was dealing with in one of my showers! Will definitely be using Nexgen going forward for all plumbing needs read more

Nexgen Plumbing provides great quality work and does it for a fair price. They showed up on time the day of the appointment, worked efficiently and cleaned up everything before they left. They answered all my questions and I felt that Juan the owner was a very honest person who cares about providing excellent work. If I have any plumbing needs going forward I know Nexgen will be who I call. read more

Found out on Saturday afternoon that my main water line was leaking at the meter. Ebmud came out to inspect and said it was my responsibility. Reached out to get estimates on Yelp and Juan was the most responsive and very professional. He came out on Sunday morning to provide an estimate. I accepted and his crew was onsite with an hour and were done by noon. read more

Without a doubt, I recommend booking this company. They don't disappoint. They really do help fixing any of your plumbing issues. In my case, I had a build up grease that's causing clog in my kitchen and bathroom shower and they were able to carefully worked and fixed it. Jose and Jimmy (i hope i said his name right) are very friendly too. We are very happy and satisfied! Thank you so much! read more

Leo, Jose, and Jaime helped us with a clogged kitchen pipe (note to self, don't put whole pickles down the drain). We called and they arrived within the hour. Courteous, kept the space tidy, and very efficient. Really great crew and honest and fair pricing. I would not hesitate to contact Nexgen again should we have any plumbing issues. read more

Kitchen sink drain was leaking at trap/disposal. Appointment given was 9A-10a. Jose and Jaime arrived exactly at 9am. They diagnosed and repaired the problem quickly and fully explained what they found and what they did to repair it. All services provided were excellent. If I have any plumbing issues in the future, Nexgen will definitely be my first contact. Price paid was well worth work done. read more

They were extremely professional, honest, and easy to communicate with throughout the whole process. And price was fair, too. I also asked him at the end to help with a toilet issue, and he even went out to get the replacement part for me. On top of that, he didn't charge extra for the additional help. I'm very grateful for his help and will definitely contact him again for any future plumbing needs. Highly recommend! read more

If you're looking to hire a plumber, Nexgen is the company!! We needed a new plumbing line and vanity installed in a room. After my initial call, Juan the owner, did me a huge favor and sent his employees out the same afternoon to give a quote. Even though I had another quote from a different company to consider, I didn't bother comparing and hired Nexgen on the spot. While the plumbers were only there to give a quote, I mentioned a problem we've had for years after our previous plumber made a mistake. Right there and then, the employees fixed the problem for me. From my first call until the work was completed, everyone at Nexgen was courteous, prompt, kind, meticulous, clean and went above and beyond. The plumbers even carried into the house our VERY heavy and expensive new vanity (which wasn't their job) without an extra charge. I'm so glad we found Nexgen and with my history of abusing our plumbing lines, it won't be long until we need plumbing services. Nexgen will be our company for life. read more

I needed a sewer lateral replacement, because roots had compromise my terra-cotta lateral, and I was tired of renting a snake every couple of years. I got four quotes for the job from various companies. Juan of NexGen gave by far the lowest quote. Juan said that he was not trying to make a killing on each individual job, he just wanted to keep his crew working. Other bids came in at almost twice the price. In addition, the other bidders said that they may need to move numerous pavers in order to complete the job. Juan completed the job without distributing any pavers, and he did it in a timely and efficient manner. Not only that, but his crew was very friendly and obviously loved doing their work. I recommend Juan and NexGen enthusiastically. read more

Juan was very professional, showed up on time and respected my home. I was impressed that he quickly figured out that the cleanout was probably left over from prior construction and isn't actually connected to the sink drain. He fixed the drain clog and also fixed, for free, a broken ptrap cover that he noticed. His pricing was fair especially given that he showed up the same day whereas others were booked. I'm happy i hired him, he worked efficiently and cleanly. I'd definitely hire him again read more

Our toilet had a slow leak and the flush was cyclying slowly for the past few weeks. Then our shower faucet had a slow drip, and then wouldn't shut off. That finally pushed us to look for a plumber! I checked on Yelp for a plumber and stumbled upon Nexgen. Communication and interaction was sincere. Juan was professional, respectful, and knowledgeable. He showed up as promised, assessed the situation, provided a solution and was done under 2 hours. I would definitely call Nexgen for future plumbing needs and recommend to anyone looking for a plumber! read more

Juan was very professional, timely, and had great communication skills. He provided a reasonable estimate for the work and explained how it would proceed. This job was a little tricky with a possible root problem under the slab. He came back right on time, solved the problem, and cleaned up very nicely. I can't say enough good things about Juan. read more

In December I recently had the pleasure of using NexGen Rooter for a plumbing issue at my home, and I couldn't be more impressed with the service I received. From start to finish, the team at NexGen Rooter was professional, efficient, and knowledgeable. They arrived promptly, assessed the problem quickly, ( crack sewer line ) and provided a clear explanation of the work that needed to be done. They replaced our Sewer Lateral and added a clean out today March 15, in just 8hrs. City permits and inspection were taken care of too. read more

We reached out to Juan for a clogged pipe. It was a deep clog that another company was unable to resolve. Juan & team fixed the clog, and identified an additional leak. The leak required extensive work and they completed the job on time and with perfection. The team was attentive, very mindful about minimizing mess and really easy to communicate with. read more

Started the weekend with a clogged sewer pipe. Shower didn't drain and toilet was gurgling. Called a few places and either wouldn't give a price to run a snake or couldn't come until tomorrow. Kept on calling until I reached Juan at Nexgen Rooter. He quoted a fair price and said he could be over within an hour. He showed up on time and ran the snake through both ends of the pipe. Cleared out a root that was close to a foot long. He was friendly and professional and didn't try to upsell. I highly recommend his service. read more

When the plumbing in my century-old house gave up its ghost, I was faced with the prospect of some urgent and expensive upgrades. Like many inexperienced senior homeowners, the process of choosing a plumber was riddled with anxiety. The media is rife with stories of scamming contractors and unreliable workmen. From the very start, Nexgen's Juan Gutierrez was patient with my many questions and requests; he was detailed and unfailingly polite. He did a thorough initial inspection and came back again when we had more questions. My instinct was to hire him but another plumbing company had offered a lower bid which I felt obliged to investigate. Soon it was apparent that there was no contest between Nextgen and the rival bidder. Choosing Nextgen put my mind at ease. Before the project could start, there was a backup in my backyard. Juan sent his crew to fix it--for free. When he found out that my husband was sick, he gave me a sizable discount on the bid. Once the project was underway, the speed, attention to detail and professionalism shown by Juan and his crew were incredible. I think even the city inspector and EBMUD inspector were impressed by their work. I won't ever have to look for another plumbing company! read more

Came on top, did a great job and took care of the process. He didn't just complete the job he did it the right way. After moving our gas line he ran a gas leak detector for me to show there are no leaks, giving me confidence. Also unclogged our storm drains which I've been putting off for years. Highly recommended! read more

Hired this company to replace main sewer line. Very professional and very Happy with results. Would recommend highly.

Last Friday, the odder from my basement smell worse and worse. I enter to my basement and found the pipe under was broken and leaking. My wife and I contacted several rooter & plumbing service for estimate the situation onsite. Nexgen Rooter and Plumbing responded quickly. They scheduled check and inspection last Saturday 8:30 AM. Leo and Hartman showed onsite on time and they entered the narrow basement to inspect the real situation. After inspection and listened to my description carefully, they gave me preliminary proposal and estimate quote price. After that, I also received estimates from other rooter and plumbing company. Compared to the proposal and estimate from other rooter and plumbing, Nexgen Rooter and Plumbing's estimate was very reasonable. We decided to move forward with Nexgen Rooter and Plumbing. Communication with them was smooth and easy--even when I requested a few minor adjustments. Three excellent technicians,Leo, Jose, and Hartman worked diligently to replace the pipes from the laundry room, through the kitchen, and to the main exit line from the house. They cleaned the work area, and the odor quickly became much weaker. They explained that the smell would disappear completely within about a week. Our whole family truly appreciates the hard work of Leo, Jose, Hartman, and the management Juan from Nexgen. I strongly recommend Nexgen Rooter and Plumbing to anyone in need of reliable, professional plumbing services. read more

If I could give them 100 stars, I would! About a month ago, I had a serious drain issue...long story short, we needed to find a plumber asap. We asked around family and friends if they knew any good reliable ones, and sure enough, we got referred by not just one but two people that had work done by Juan from NeXgen. Juan and his crew Leo and Jaime came out and found the issue and arranged everything from getting permits from the city to get the plumbing fixed. Very professional and fast working, reasonable price for the hard work they did. Very satisfied, I will be recommending them to anyone I know. They are local, so that made it so much convenient for us. Thank you so much, Juan, Leo, and Jaime. Muchas gracias Juan, Leo y Jaime. read more

The land scape guys drilled hole in to one of our drain pipes that was inside the concrete. I wasn't sure what will be the impact of it. One of my friend called Juan and scheduled the appointmen. NexGen replaced the lateral sewer system on my property. From my first meeting with NexGen and Juan Gutierrez's team it was a pleasant, thorough and professional experience. I received three quotes for the work to be done and Nexgen's was the best. Juan explained the replacement process to me and the time frame associated with the removal and replacement of the system. At no time were any of my questions treated as too small or tedious. If I didn't understand something, he would patiently re-explain. On the scheduled day of work, the team showed up on time and went straight to work. The job was complete as scheduled and the clean up was exceptional. If I had not seen them on the property, I would not have known they has been there, with the exception of how quickly the water drain within my home. I would not hesitate to work with Juan Gutierrez and his NexGen team again for all my plumbing needs. S. Glasco read more

I called around to at least 4 plumbers Saturday morning after getting told no one could come out until Monday morning. We are a single-bathroom unit and were running around to different gas stations Friday night in desperation! I called Nexgen and when it went to voicemail I figured they didn't work on weekends and moved on- but after just a few moments Juan called me back and offered to come down in just an hour or two! He arrived promptly, with shoe coverings (that I really appreciated!) and told us an estimate, while being super clear that if it were a more complicated issue it might be a bit more expensive. Luckily, it was a simple fix, and he was in and out in 15 minutes for exactly what was quoted! I really appreciated his attention to detail in keeping our home clean and sanitary, and he was clearly extremely professional. I won't hesitate to call him first next time we need plumbing help, and I'll be recommending him to my landlord for the future! read more

Juan, the owner, did a small plumbing job at my house this week and I would definitely hire him again in the future. Both times he came by (for the initial free estimate and then the job itself) he was right on time and easy to reach by phone and text. Professional service, Highly recommend! We needed a sewer lateral replacement and we really didn't want to have our nicely landscaped front yard torn up for a week as recommended by a big-name national plumbing company. Nexgen was recommended by a friend and we were not disappointed. We decided to go with trenchless and Juan, the owner of Nexgen, came out to provide an estimate and told us it would only be a one-day job with minimal disturbance to the yard. If your yard is a concern for you, I recommend going trenchless. Juan was very professional yet personable and answered all of our questions and addressed our concerns. That immediately increased my confidence since I didn't know what to expect with a sewer lateral replacement. He and his crew arrived promptly at the 8:00 AM start time which was wonderful as it's something I personally value in a contractor/company. Juan is both hands-on and able to direct his crew to adhere to whatever timeline he has set for the job. We could tell Juan takes great pride in his work and is detail-oriented as he seeks perfection in the job. And may I say that the clean up job after the sewer lateral installation was impeccable! All the dirt, pavers, etc. were put back so cleanly that you wouldn't know that there was any work done. His crew were very courteous to us and respectful to the property. The time management was excellent as he allowed time at the end of the day to install a new toilet for us that we had mentioned that morning - something we weren't sure he'd be able to get to if the sewer lateral job took too long. He apparently was determined to get that installed no matter how late it got. For all future plumbing issues, we plan on going with Nexgen since we were so pleased. We highly recommend to everyone you call Nexgen to have Juan come out to give an estimate and I'm sure after talking with him, you will want to schedule service with him. read more

Got an email alert from EBMUD our water consumption was more than doubled this period, suspecting a leak, i checked on yelp for a reliable plumber to take a look asap( on a weekend at that) , some were charging a fee just for inspection, Juan was prompt and offered free estimate. He was professional, honest , friendly and thorough. He didn't find any major leak and was advised to keep an eye on it, we did show him our utility sink that needed replacement and some issues with the backyard piping. His price was reasonable and he and his team did a good job. So glad to have found our go to plumber from hereon. Thank you Juan! read more

Have used Juan and his team on multiple occasions. Fast, Reliable, Honest. Highly recommended.

Juan has done several plumbing jobs for me, and replaced the sewer lateral for my dental office. Juan is personable, easy to reach and communicate with, gives accurate and very fair estimates for the proposed work, and starts and completes his work on time. Juan, Leo, and the Nexgen crew do excellent work and pay good attention to detail, and try to disturb things as little as possible. I have referred Juan to a friend, and my in-laws (always a bit risky), and both were very pleased with his work (whew!). Additionally, after the job is done, they close gates and doors, and leave everything neat and clean. I couldn't ask for anything more and am very comfortable giving Juan and his crew my highest recommendation. read more

Juan and the team at NexGen recently replaced our main sewer lateral, which was a huge job that required pulling permits, opening a trench in the street, replacing the pipe, getting a certificate of compliance, and then returning everything to normal after the job was done. They did the job quickly, too. I would highly recommend NexGen for any plumbing service, no matter how large or small. read more

I've had some serious plumbing/sewage issues since I moved into my new home in October. Three different plumbing companies came out to fix the issue at least 5 times, to no avail. Nexgen Rooter and Plumbing was referred to me by my Realtor, and they are a godsend. I first spoke with Jose. He listened to what I needed and got an appointment set up quickly. I appreciated his timely and courteous communication. Juan came out to do the work. Not only did he accurately assess the situation, but he took the time to explain what went wrong, what he did to fix the issue and what our next steps should be. I feel like I'm in a partnership with Nexgen to improve my situation. Also, the rates Nexgen charges are more than fair. I used Juan before he started his own company. He was always the go to guy there as well. There is nothing that stumps him and I have a few old pieces of property. When I call with an issue he immediately assesses the problem and tells me what he thinks, what needs to happen and when. If it's like NOW/Today, he'll try to work it in to his schedule. He fixed a leaky pipe under my sink on Thanksgiving morning. He's the best I've seen. I bought my home in 1981, maybe before he was born, so I've seen a few plumbers in my time. read more
