I called a few different plumbers that were highly rated on Yelp but they were all closed or not available when I needed them. I called Save Plumbing and Wally answered. I described the problem and he told me he could be there in 1-2 hours. I can't describe the relief I felt knowing he could help me out. I sent him a couple pictures of the damage and I asked him to give me a heads up when he was 30 minutes away so that I could plan my time accordingly. He wrote me back with a quote for the repair and texted me when he was 30 minutes away (it's a small thing to do but I've had so many contractors say they would do this but then they just show up or call when they're 15 minutes away). True to his word he came in about 2 hours. Wally arrived with his son. He was warm and friendly. I showed him to the bathroom and I asked him if I could watch him make the repair. I wanted to confirm for myself that this wasn't a repair I could've done. After seeing the process I was very happy I called Wally and didn't take the DIY route. Wally and his son were great. He did a thorough job. He replaced the angle valve and the supply line. He also replaced some other parts like the compression ring so that everything was new, which some plumbers wouldn't do because it's not critical to the issue I was having but it is a good thing to do for the long term. This was hands down one of the best experiences I've had with skilled laborers. I found his price to be very reasonable. I will definitely call Save Plumbing again when I have any plumbing needs.

I had a nasty clog backing things up and what turned out to be a small leak in one of my pipes. After a mild panic session, I called Star Rooter in Hayward. From the start, they were friendly and easy to talk to, which honestly helped calm me down. They came out, assessed everything, and let me know my line needed to be snaked. They explained what they were doing, didn't make me feel clueless, and got straight to work. The clog was cleared, and they were also able to fix the leak in my pipes the same visit. Huge relief. Now, plumbing work is not cheap -- and nobody is excited to pay for it -- but they got the job done efficiently and professionally. I'd rather pay once and have it handled correctly than deal with repeat issues. They mentioned there's a 10% discount if you say you found them on Yelp. I'm not 100% sure if it was applied to my final bill, but it's worth asking about when you call. Overall, solid experience. Friendly crew, quick response, and they fixed the problem without dragging things out. If you're in Hayward and dealing with plumbing drama, Star Rooter got it done for me.

On the first visit, the technician, Mohammed, didn't even inspect the system. He simply told us that older units are noisy and that our only options were to live with it or replace the entire system. Because the problem continued, our home warranty company scheduled a second visit. I specifically requested a different technician, but they sent the same person back. I tried calling their supervisor to come out or send someone else but they kept dodging my call. When I answered the door and explained the issue was still happening, he just shrugged his shoulders. I had to insist that he actually go into the attic and inspect the unit this time. After a short time, he came back down and said he had "tried everything" but never explained what he checked or what the actual problem was. Again, I was told the only options were to replace the system or live with the noise. I also never received any written work order explaining the diagnosis or repairs that were supposedly attempted. Not feeling confident, I hired another HVAC company for a second opinion. Within minutes, they diagnosed the real problem as a failing blower motor, explained everything clearly, and gave me the option to replace the motor instead of the entire HVAC system. The repair was completed that same week, and the vibration was completely resolved. I understand a 21-year-old system won't last forever, but every homeowner deserves a thorough inspection, a clear explanation of the issue, and repair options when they're available. Unfortunately, that wasn't the experience I had with Same Day Air.

The technician quickly identified the issue and got my system running efficiently again, with no return visits needed. He found (what he thought at the time) was the issue, got the parts, and repaired it in 4 hours. We thought everything was good and paid $375 for the repair. We ran the washer later that night and found there was still an issue. We reached back out and he said he'd come back the next day after his other jobs. Communication started lagging here. He initially told us he'd come between 4-6, but didn't say anything til 6:30. Came ~7pm and worked on the washer again. About 1.5 hours later, found another issue and said he'd come back Monday. On Monday, I reached back out and he wasn't super responsive. Heard back that he was at the store getting the part and that's the last we heard from him. We've reached out several times via text, Yelp, and phone call. We've left multiple messages and he's completely ghosted us. I should've done more digging into his past bad reviews, because this is consistent with those. I recommend finding someone else. It's not worth the chance of not getting your appliance fixed AND being out money. We could've just bought a new washer at this point.

I have tried calling and reaching out to them over messages, the phone number listed is always switched off and they never reply back. The last thing as a customer you would want is pay these guys and wait for a part and they vanish completely. It's been over 3 weeks and I still have no communication from them. Very unprofessional. Would proceed with a diff service technician at this point as the job could be easily done in 3-4 days turn around time. Sorry ! Update 2: Based on the review feedback from Mark, if there is any delay in parts order, I think it is basic sense to inform the Home warranty company (who gave the service technician vendor the job) as well as the customer with a more accurate timeline. During the time of charging the service fee for diagnostics, it was mentioned the part should be delivered in less than a week. If this was completely off, an immediate timely update would be appreciated. Last, I am not sure how a business runs when they are not reachable on the phone ever, nor any correspondence through messages. Sorry! That's not at all an average customer experience, let aside a good experience.

I made a yelp account just to write this review. That is how good monarch plumbing is! Got an old shower cartridge that finally broke after more than a decade of use. I made appointments with 3 companies, all of which did not even show....and wasn't responsive by phone. I was able to get estimates with several yelp plumbing companies and some of the estimates were just ridiculous (ranging from $450 to $950). I did some online search for shower valve repair jobs and the average for the area is only around $200..... Some of them even suggested making a hole into the wall to swap out the valve when all they have to do is swap the cartridge out..... super shady Made an appointment with Monarch plumbing on Sunday and Roberto got here ON TIME the next day. He is super friendly and honest. He knew exactly what he was doing and got the job done in 1 hr. And I spent only $135 for the whole thing....WOW....And they have a warranty for 4 months in case of future leaks. I will definitely be using Monarch Plumbing from now on. If you are in the area, I would HIGHLY recommended Monarch and Roberto! read more

Monarch Plumbing has the best service and the best plumbers. They came out on a Saturday looked at what needed to be done and did 2 units in one day. Roberto and his helping were very friendly and explained in detail what they would do. He did exactly what he said he would do and kept to the schedule for returning with the toilets and other items needing to be fixed. He also kept me informed on timing sense I don't live there. That was a huge plus, everything went so smooth and Jose the owner don't price gauge his customer. I also found it very touching that this company hires persons with disabilities. Ely and his team arrived promptly and performed a thorough inspection using telescopic equipment and water jetting to clean and check all drainage lines in the area. They identified a broken pipeline and returned the next day, Friday at 7:30 AM, to complete the repair. Monarch did a great job redoing my sewer lateral to meet compliance in Oakland. They did a free inspection, and did the work for a reasonable price (I compared with 2 other companies). It took a while to get the permits, but once they had them, they sent a team of 5 very efficient people to my property and had the job done by the end of day. Tony came out to assess a blockage in our kitchen sink, he was able to clear the blockage and then determined that our garbage disposal needed to be replaced. As always, Tony is very courteous and respectful and explains the process. He provides excellent service. Tony had a brand new garbage disposal on his service vehicle so was able to replace it right then and there. I highly recommend Monarch Plumbing and Tony. read more

We had a great experience with Jack and German from Monarch Plumbing today. Jack was prompt, professional, and quickly diagnosed our plumbing issue on the first visit. He explained everything clearly and returned promptly with German to fix the issue. They were very efficient in fixing the faulty faucet and also left the area clean after the work was complete. Came and repaired and replaced water line. Crew was very professional and work was done timely. They went above and beyond and even helped my husband move two sheds. I…read morehad to get my water pressure relief valve (PRV) replaced and he had educated me on a few options but also cautioned me against some of the cheaper options thst would break down in a few years since the area that valve in was in direct sunlight. The plastic housings for the cheaper PRV were not a good choice so we ended up getting the brass one installed. He also was able to get another small project done for me in time as well to get a water line setup for me. Gary was professional, quick, and took care of the work with attention to detail. Costellos also got him out early morning so that was great. My issues were resolved the same day and Gary was transparent about pricing. Would highly recommend this company. I wasn't upsold or pressured into spending more than I needed to, and I got all my questions answered too.
