Delicious and tasty lunch
Willa B.

I LOVE coming here for breakfast. Today I decided to try lunch!! Enjoyed this tasty B.L.T. without mayonnaise and a side order of small fries !! Yummy :)

a hot dog and french fries

Does this French Dip look like its worth $14.09? togo? Do not go here! Before Covid! all good ! now Owner trying to cook because nobody wants to work..... uggggg !!!! He gave me a thimble full of Au Jus! which i had to ask for 3 times! He kept saying " no orange juice!" r u freakin kidding me? never again! he probably made $12.00 on that hunk of crap French Dip ! dog wont even eat it Roast beef was old ( freezer burned) Anyway ...I really never complain but Save Your Money! im pissed

Small Orange Juice taste just like the fruit , I PROMISE

This place is HIGHLY underrated! The service is OUTSTANDING & FAST!! The servers are kind & caring. The prices & listen , I'm cheap when it comes to eating out. You get a LARGE amount for a small price. I will say they are EXTREMELY packed on the weekends. I mean , I see why. I love it here . Very old fashion , very welcoming & comfy. Great view while you eat your delicious meal . Can't wait to go again

Small but cute family-owned business! They waitress we had was very polite and hospitable, the food was good- regular diner food, and prices were reasonable! Only a 10 minute wait on a busy Sunday morning and given the small size of the place, that's amazing! They also have a parking lot which is nice!

Corned beef hash, 2 eggs over easy, home fries, wheat toast. Corned beef hash was mushy and not flavorful

It's a nice cozy place. Food is so good and taste home made, and not expensive. They have parking. Nice place to go for breakfast.

Pleasantly surprised.. Firstly, it's a diner. But the focus is decent and service ok. Good for a quick bite.

I absolutely loved the teriyaki Salmon salad last time and switched it up for the Ahi Tuna Sandwich this time. Portions are decent and after the soup you will be full. The ambiance of the place is definitely the best part. You get an Alice in Wonderland kind of vibe. It can get busy during lunch hours but if are able to get window seatings you'll get a view of the New York skyline (if the city pollution allows) The only negative is they're drinks are more on the pricier side that. I get the alcoholic ones but I'm referring to soda, coffee, etc

To eat, I ordered the Greek omelet with a side of avocado and it was yummy! Not too heavy or light just the right amount of flavor and texture. Hash browns were partly crispy which I loved. I wasn't too fond for the multigrain bread but I'm a bread snob who makes their own sourdough so that may be why . We ended our visit with a slice of cherry pie with ice cream and loved how light and not too sweet it was! Service was great, attentive, friendly and pleasant. Would come again!

We were greeted immediately upon entering and made to feel incredibly welcome in such a comfortable and inviting atmosphere. The menu is impressive, offering a beautiful selection of everything from breakfast to dinner. I personally loved the blueberry pancakes, and the scrambled eggs were cooked to absolute perfection. My loved one thoroughly enjoyed the chicken scampi; the ingredients were clearly fresh and high-quality. Our only small note for next time would be to request a little extra spice to kick it up a notch, but the flavors were already spot on. A few other highlights: * Cream of Turkey Soup: Absolutely delicious and a must-try! * Reese's Pieces Cheesecake: We ended our Sunday evening with this, and it was the perfect finale. The plate was even decorated in such a festive way - it truly felt special. What really made the night, however, was our server, Alexandra. She was a total professional and an absolute gem. You can tell she is an asset to the team and well-loved by the regulars. Thank you so much for your warm hospitality. We already can't wait to return! God bless you all!

This was the first time that I have to say I was very disappointed.

The food is pretty good most of the time and the juices are very very good. Don't expect some gourmet meals though. The environment just gives small town dinner and i think it's endearing, sometimes it's scary but that's just my opinion overall, i really like this place and when i'm craving cozy diner food i come here.

If you live anywhere near Bloomfield, chances are you've driven past the Nevada Diner at least a…read moredozen times and said, "We've gotta try that place." Well my wife and I finally did. After years (yes, years) of the classic "next weekend" promise as we cruised by, we officially pulled into the parking lot and let me tell you, it was worth the wait. Walking in feels like stepping into the kind of diner that stars in its own feel-good movie. Warm, welcoming, and buzzing with that comforting breakfast energy, the gentle clinking of coffee cups, the hum of happy conversations, and the smell of bacon working overtime on the grill. We went all in on breakfast because when you're at a Jersey diner, that's just what you do. The coffee? Hot, strong, and seemingly bottomless. My wife ordered a classic breakfast platter, and I went for a hearty omelet that was so fluffy it practically needed its own pillow. Crispy home fries, perfectly cooked eggs, and rye bread toast that was delish! a true breakfast balancing act. Everything was fresh, flavorful, and flat-out delicious. And the service? Top notch. Friendly, attentive, and on point without ever feeling rushed. Our server made us feel like regulars even though it was our first visit. Coffee refills appeared like magic, our food came out quickly, and every interaction had that genuine, neighborhood diner warmth that makes you want to stay for "just one more cup." Prices were reasonable too! UUF! Lol!!! Honestly, we couldn't believe we waited so long. We've driven by the Nevada Diner countless times, but now that we've finally stopped in, it's officially in our breakfast rotation. Lesson learned: when a diner has been calling your name for years, answer it. If you're in Bloomfield and craving a breakfast that feels like a warm hug (with a side of perfectly crispy bacon), do yourself a favor and pull into the Nevada Diner. Just don't wait as long as we did.

The diner decor is very appealing with lots of cozy booths. We had a wonderful server who was very friendly. I ordered the Chickpea Salad. I could eat this every day. The portion was very generous. Loads of chickpeas, carrots, cucumber, red onion, red pepper, and artichoke hearts all topped with a lemon thyme vinaigrette. So refreshing and delicious. I will crave this salad. My friends had a Cheesesteak Panini with Fries, and Eggs with Corned Beef Hash. They both really enjoyed their dishes. And again, the portions were ample. This is a really solid, affordable, and pleasant spot in Montclair. I will return.

Montclair house grill is essentially an elevated diner. incredibly modest pricing, big portions, and great service. I wish i could remember my servers name, a very friendly and funny older latin gentleman, but he kept the laughs flowing and made sure to check in on us often. i grabbed the tuna melt sando special. i really wanted to love this, but it had no flavor. it was incredibly bland. it needs seasoning. however, the plus side to this was the size. im not gonna lie, your girl got another dinner and lunch out of this sandwich (yes, the tuna was PACKED on this!). the cheese was your basic melted cheddar slice, which isnt nothing to brag about. It comes with a soup and i chose the matzo ball soup. this hit the damn spot. 1 big ball, a few veggies, and a very lightly salted chicken broth. simple, but to the point. i tried my friends wings. unfortunately she doesnt live for the spice life like i do, so she grabbed them bland, but i will say this, her wings were good. they were perfectly fried and had a great crust. yes, i did in fact pour tapatio on top of them. her onion rings were also fried well. i am not sure if theyre home made, but if they arent, whoever operates that fryer back there, knows their timing. you can bite into every onion ring and get an even crunch, and the skin doesnt fall off the onion. Let me tell you, i despise biting into an onion ring and i just get soggy onion but no shell. not here, montclair house grill keeps it in tact. would come back in a heart beat for the service and the simple, but classic dishes.
