So in order to pay karma back for all the things I've self-righteously crabbed about needlessly, I am trying to make an effort to leave positive comment when someone of some business does a particularly good job. This Game Stop store is doing a job worthy of comment. I have had moments of uneven service at other GameStop's over the years, but this particular store (Roosevelt in Berwyn) does a excellent job and should be applauded for making an effort. The store is clean, well organized, and the staff is friendly and helpful without being pushy-car-salesman-aggressive helpful. In the few instances where I had questIons or a problem, the staff never hesitated to provide excellent service. The clerks regularly have checked my account to point out coupons, rewards or other savings I could take advantage of. They have always been more than fair when I have traded in games or consoles. This store, it's management, and staff have consistently done an exemplary job representing the GameStop company.

It's a small store with a wonderful selection of books perfect for every book worm. The prices are incredibly low and they are supportive of local artists. I was so pleased to see a father with two kids in shopping. It added to the warmth of the place and the neighborhood feel. Don couldn't have been nicer. He introduced himself to his customers and I had the luck of having time to have a nice conversation about the ever growing stack of books in my house. I am so glad I can walk to this store. It is exactly what this neighborhood needed. This store is what the Oak Park Arts District is all about.
