They were very helpful and completed my repair easily. Very knowledgeable and kind. My second hand GameBoy Advance SP wasn't charging despite a new battery. They took a look and let me know the fuses would need to be replaced (which I suspected) but also the capacitors. This is a precision repair. They soldered the unit carefully and replaced the parts for me for only 45$ including labor. Easily will get another 10 years out of it now! An absolute bargain! You can see their passion for their work and even though I'm much closer to another repair shop I will take this 25 minute drive anytime for future repairs!! I had the best experience here with both Eddie and Maria. I had a Wii that was reading Wii games but not gamecube games, and they were able to replace the laser for me very affordably. Eddie spoke with me when I dropped it off and repaired the device, and when I picked it up Maria tested it with both types of games to confirm everything was working as it should be. It's pretty rare to give a bad review but I dropped off four controllers to be fixed as my dog had gotten to the joysticks. I was told 2-3 days and never got a call until I called a week later myself. They told me two controllers were fixed and they would have the other two fixed by the time I picked up at 6 that day. I dropped by at 7PM to be told all four controllers aren't able to be fixed due to bad boards. The controllers might have been broke and there could have been a mistake but really bad communication even if they had a mishap. If you're close, maybe give a try, but I wouldn't drive past 20 minutes for this place. read more

They gave me a price right away and didn't charge me until it was fixed. They even offered to deliver the fixed switch to my house. I loooove this place. The owner is amazing- just such a genuine person with high morale which is very rare these days. Please also note they are the only Sony certified repair shop in Chicago, so please do not take your PS5 anywhere else! I learned this the hard way, I originally took my son's gaming system to another shop to get the HDMI port repaired and that place damaged the console. Went to get my GBA fixed, it wouldn't turn on. They got it working again, so I decided to drop off my DS Lite to fix the top screen which had a bad connection at certain angles, and they got it fixed within a day. Very nice and helpful, would definitely go back. read more

Surprisingly unhelpful. Needed a ps4 controller battery and was told 2-3 days wait for a 1 minute repair anybody can do. Wouldn't even sell me the battery at full repair price so I can do it myself and get back in the action. I guess it shouldn't be a surprise that the video game repair guy isn't cool. read more

I called to inquire if I could get my PS4 console checked out about a week before Christmas. Raul said to bring it in and he will run a diagnostic to see what the issue is. I asked him for a high-low cost to repair and he discussed various scenarios/prices and all were lower than the quote I got from Game Stop which was a free diagnostic and repairs start at $99. I was unable to take the PS4 in that day, but I called a few days after and he remembered me. He said he was open until 8pm, but due to traffic, I barely got there at 7:55pm. Raul said not to worry, he still ran the diagnostic test and said I had a bad hard-drive. He said he normally has a few hard-drives in stock but was out at the moment. I was bummed as I was expecting him to say it would be a week to fix and cost a few hundred dollars to fix. I almost fell over when he advised if I could drive to MicroCenter, about 12 minutes away, I could buy a 1TB hard-drive for $60 and then come back for him to install it THAT NIGHT! Sure enough, I went to MicroCenter and for $60 I bought a 1TB hard-drive. I came back to Game Over and not only did Raul install it, but then he updated the system and even gave me a free flash-drive with the latest update, just in case. He even offered to give me a free MLB game that he used to test my PS4 out. My son already had that game so I graciously declined his offer. He and his wife were super nice and I was out the door at 9:35pm (again he normally closes at 8pm!) and on my way home to allow my sons to play our PS4 again. I am embarrassed to say that I waited over 6 months to get it fixed and in the end, Raul didn't even charge me anything! ZERO! NADA! He said, "Why would I charge you for a free diagnostic and to update your system?" In the end I only paid $63 for the hard-drive and about 1 1/2 hours later (counting in time to go to MicroCenter and back), Raul had my PS4 working like brand new! DO YOURSELF A FAVOR - BEFORE TAKING YOUR CONSOLE TO GET FIXED ANYWHERE, TAKE IT TO GAME OVER! GO SEE RAUL! YOU'LL BE GLAD YOU DID! THANKS RAUL! HAVE A WONDERFUL NEW YEAR!!!! read more

My son dropped off a console for repair two weeks ago and now cannot get the store to respond to when it will be fixed. After being quoted a price, we have been ghosted. Messages aren't returned and no one answers the phone. Worse it appears someone at the store opened up the console, logged into the account on the machine and erased the game play that was saved online and has been playing that game on it for quite some time. We tried to visit the store again today but it said on the front it had moved to a new location. When we visited the alleged new location there was no sign and no one present. At this point, we can only assume they do not plan to return let alone fix the device. We hope we are somehow wrong about all of this but I would be very careful doing business here. read more
