I've been so torn as to if and when to write this review.... I adore this little shop and I've enjoyed keeping it to myself for long enough.. The owner Joe, really is a great guy which is why he is mentioned in every review. He's got a good little staff of employees who are always very helpful and kind. Need a movie recommendation? Give Joe several titles you've enjoyed in the past and he will come up with something you've never even heard of! You won't ever want (or need!) to use Redbox again after you see the selection this little shop has... There are several monthly plans you can subscribe to (we have 2 out at a time, about $25 per month). Only wanna rent family movies? There's a plan for you too, $4.99 per month. Oh and I mention the selection of video games? Yeah, it's extensive too! I hate to mention it, but I have to.... There's an epic xxx section complete with Girls Gone Wild and all the parodies. You're welcome. Pretty much every hit show that's ever been on television is there and when you rent a series, you get the whole series not just one or two discs at a time. Joe also takes requests and custom orders, so if you dont see something, ask! Don't feel like going out? Oh well they also deliver! (This is subject to availability of staff) You'll always be in the loop with the text alerts too. New releases and specials pretty frequently. What else can I say? I've been renting from The Video Strip since they opened. I still rent from here since the online content is limited (even with all of the streaming services). They have a great selection of Anime and Old videos. They also have theater snacks, popcorn and a cute friendly dog. I definitely recommend stopping by and renting something or purchasing a dvd (as Joe has many for sale). read more

They recently became a UPS Access Point to help service the packages to and from UPS. I've never got anything from here related to video or games or anything of that matter. However, these guys are as friendly and customer centric as they come. The customer service that they provide you for a service that is not even theirs (UPS Access Point) probably goes to show that the service that they do actually provide (their rentals) would probably be even better. I love this place. Where else can you get a WHOLE SEASON of a TV show for the price of one rental? I had to keep re-renting Star Trek, The Original Series for 3 weeks in a row because it had so many episodes... The Video Strip is a great little rental place. There are lot of television viewing options availabe these days: Tivo, Satellite, HDTV, Digital-over-the-air, onDemand, PPV. You'd think that a brick-n-mortar couldn't survive, but the Video Strip has done just that -- and how you ask? The Video Strip is a local staple. A great collection of films and shows and more. Many that are hard to find or versions unavailable in regular streaming or redbox options. Joe is a really friendly and knowledgeable guy and will have plenty of recommendations as well as a good chat while browsing about. Also sells some great quality popcorn far superior to the standard Act II. Open everyday until midnight. Signing up for membership is a breeze, there's tons of titles to rent and if you don't know what to get, ask one of the helpful clerks behind the counter. No need to wait for your connection to buffer or whatever crap menus a Redbox has (I've never used one). You get the real deal with all the special features, just like the good ol'days. read more

I have been getting my movies from The Video Strip since the first week they opened. Why would I ever go anywhere else? Joe and all of his employees are friendly and knowledgeable about movies. I remember going in and not sure what I wanted to see.....but somehow they always know what I like!! I especially love that they stock obscure movies that other places don't even know exist. This is all you could want from a video store open 365 days a year. Why would anyone want go anywhere else is beyond me. A knowledgeable friendly staff that will get you in and out with no hassle. I'm so done dealing with the other Big Box robotic & impersonal security shouts of "HELLO!" when you walk through the door and the long lines waiting to hear a "NEXT! STEP UP!" I much rather get a warm ma & pa welcome and a free bag of chips not to mention the awesome deals and great selection of UNcut & UNedited video rentals. Not only have I been a customer for the last 18YRS but like a friend as well! The Video Strip not only out lasted Blockbuster but pretty much every other video store out there. Proof that only the strong do survive! Great selection of DVD's, Blueray, PS3, XBOX and Wi games! Friendly and knowledgeable staff as well. Joe "the owner" is a huge movie buff and that's what I want in an owner! The store covers every genre you can think of from Anime to Drama and everything in between. How do they fit so many movies/video games in that small store? I don't know...but it's awesome. For those of us who resist technological advances and still prefer a brick & mortar video rental store, Video Strip is your spot. They have pretty much any movie, TV show, or Girls Gone Wild you can think of. I can't speak to the video game selection since I've never rented one, but it looks like it's also a good size. Prices are super cheap. $9 for 3 movies for an entire week...plus they'll throw in a free bag of chips/popcorn if you rent 3 movies. I haven't used their delivery/pick-up services, but I've seen signs that they have it, which is awesome if you're busy or not very mobile. All three employees (Joe the owner, a young girl, and a young guy) I have encountered are really nice and helpful. I'll keep renting my movies here as long as it's there. read more

Today was my first time here in many years. My daughter is 2-1/2 and loves princesses. Since you can't rent certain Disney movies on amazon or google play that are in the vault, I thought this was a good shot. Not only do they have all of them, but they have a $10/month plan for unlimited family movies! I was very impressed with their selection. I ended up picking one for myself too. Joe is a real nice guy! I went in there last night to have some old PS2 games cleaned (y'know, remove all those scratches that have accumulated over the years). Joe was working & we were chatting about movies & stuff. He said no one has ever written a review about their disc-cleaning machine, so I guess I'm the first. It's a real nice thing to have in the neighborhood. My games took about 20 minutes to clean & they now look brand new. I was charged $2 for each game. What a great price!
