Looking up purchase on credit card was not offered. No exchange was offered. The item still had tags on it. Clerk did not treat us with much respect. His closing statement was, "Bring your receipt next time." WE ARE VERY DISAPPOINTED and not at all what was expected of The Shop. We have shopped there for quite some time!

How incredible! Word on the street is that they had a lot of extra shirts and wanting to partner in helping the community. How wonderful! We ordered two of the $10 shirts mentioned above, and part of the promo was that you'd be sent the Indy shirt in a random color. It was a fun surprise to open the box and see what colors we were sent. My husband's is light green and mine is an army green (what I would've chosen anyways). We're reppin' them constantly during quarantine and they're super comfy. While in quarantine, you can order from their website and find items ranging from different college, local sports team, and local events themed memorabilia in the form of shirts, hats, glasses, etc. You can find something for any person in your life and I love the move to promote so much local. When not in quarantine, you can also head into their shop in Clay Terrace in Carmel or Broad Ripple. I've been to this Carmel location around the holidays and loved the vibe in there.

I'm excited to see Athletic Annex has opened a location in Clay Terrace!…read more I first visited the Nora location a few years ago for a gait analysis and fitting and had a great experience. I've been loyal to the Asics Gel Nimbus for a few years, until the brand changed the style of the shoe into more of a Hoka. So, it was time to go back to Athletic Annex and find something new. Depending on the day of the week and time of day, you may be helped immediately or need to wait a bit. I was greeted by an employee who had me step on the foot analysis machine and walk on the treadmill to analyze my gait. They had just received new AI technology. She went over the results and pulled a number of shoes for me to try. Athletic Annex sells all the top brands -- Hoka, Brooks, On Clouds, Asics, New Balance, etc. I think it's well worth it to come to a running store like this (even if you're not a runner, like me) to see what is going to be best for you and your feet. My only comment is I was hoping for the sales associate to be more knowledgeable about the shoes and guide me through the process a bit more. For example: what made her select those shoes for me to try, what are the differences, what should I notice when walking in them around the store, etc. Personal preference on what I'm looking for in my shoe buying experience!

Debbie waited on me today. She was friendly and helpful. I pick up my GOODR glasses here. They have a wonderful selection of colors and the prices are reasonable. They also carry hard to find items, such as running gloves. They currently have a few Carmel Marathon shirts for the upcoming race. If you get on their email list, they will send you information on special sales and events. They do not overburden you with emails. Parking is a bear in front of the store in Clay Terrace. Parking in the back is a little easier.

You still have time to sign up for your FREE photo with the Easter Bunny at Cabela's…read more You do need to register online for a time slot, but it is SO worth it--there's basically no wait and you don't feel rushed at all during your photo. They were amazing with Charlie and let her take her time getting comfortable. No pressure, no stress...which every parent can appreciate At the end, kids get a free fish-shaped Easter egg, and of course you can walk around and check out all the fish and "animals" in the store I added the hours at the end of the video so you can plan your visit!

While it's smaller than the massive outdoor stores, it was organized, well-stocked, and has a great selection of clothing, gear, and gifts. They have a beautiful fireplace and sitting area by the entrance that sets a "cozy cabin in the mountains" vibe. One of the first things you see is the beloved aquarium - always the highlight for the kids and what I remember from similar stores growing up. Next, what we really came for. We visited to see Santa with our toddler and had a wonderful time. You can pre-register to ensure your spot for a FREE photo, and those that walk in can wait in line once those that registered in advance are through. I saw everything from families in matching PJs to couples with their dogs and I was all about it. Once they snap the photo, you get a free printout and can opt to purchase additional if desired. They even gave a festive little wooden frame, which is currently hanging on our fridge and bringing me joy. This setup to see Santa was memorable, efficient, and perfect for a wiggly toddler. We'll be back in the future!

I checked online…read moreto make sure they would have what I needed before making the trip from the Meridian and 91st street area where I was attending a doctor's office for the day and had a chance to shop while on my lunch break. I was looking for Merrell hiking shoes to replace the Vasque shoes I have been wearing for the last ten years. I have been wearing high end hiking shoes as everyday footwear since I discovered mountain trail hiking in Tucson back in 2002. Their online web site said they had a pair normally retailing for $120 on sale for $80 but it must have been online only since I could not find it in the store. This store did not carry Vasque but I had previously owned a pair of Merrell shoes and knew they were good quality and would last a long time. They offered two choices which were waterproof and not waterproof. I chose the waterproof although I liked the color of the non-waterproof better. The pair I chose were basically brown and I was hoping to get a different color since I had been wearing brown for so long. They offered two other colors, an olive green and a lighter color online but they did not appeal to me. I was hoping for a dark gray or something to match black and jeans better. Service was only so-so. Another customer and I waited in the shoe department for someone to wait on us while other employees looked at us but didn't assist us. It's not like we can help ourselves. Someone has to go in the back and grab a box and bring it out for us to try on. Eventually someone came to help me but the other customer gave up and left. Checking out was equally frustrating. Two cashiers both stuck with customers for a long time, one bickering over a return and not getting a full credit. This is where other stores have a separate counter for these issues so customers who want to simply pay and go can do so without a long wait and no one getting checked out. Standing in line or waiting to be helped while multiple other employees seem to be available to help is frustrating.

This place is great!…read more Just recently found it, but this Broad Ripple outdoorsy shop has been around for quite some time. There's a front and back entrance, the back has 1-2 reserved parking spots. It's a fairly small place but packed with stuff: sleeping bags to keep you warm in the mountains, apparel from brands like Patagonia, water bottles, candles that smell amazing, camping chairs, knives, and more! The customer service is out of this world. Multiple folks working, all really friendly. When you ask to see something from the case, they answer questions about the product t but don't try to sell it - thank god, that is annoying and it's nice to not have that pressure. They sell quality items so their sales folk don't really have to hustle like that. Anyways, very pleasant experience!
