I came over to Northface to find a light weight running jacket. I had one, but left it on a plane, and it was my favorite jacket. You know, the kind of jacket that you bond with and becomes your identity. I was attached to the damn thing. Anyway, I tried shopping on line, but it's difficult to tell the material and thickness of a clothing item unless you actually feel it. So, I was happy to find a brick and mortar option dedicated to Northface. Anyway, a clerk was welcoming and offered to help me. They had lots of heavy, hiking jackets. But not what I was looking for. The clerk told me I could find more options on line. Dang. So I left empty handed and disappointed. But the store is nice if you are looking for Artic wear. Prices are high, but the clothes wear well and are constructed beautifully. Visit mid week, to find easy parking and no crowds. read more

Needed a new raincoat for an upcoming trip to Seattle and wanted to be able to try them on in person - so with strong urging from the hubs we trekked off to North Face in the Fashion Mall. Caveat - I HATE shopping and I HATE raincoats - so was not looking forward to the trip. However, Jocelyn made our shopping experience painless - she was knowledgeable and very friendly. She showed me the options and explained how each were different. She allowed us to chat but checked back frequently enough that we felt taken care of. Raincoat and a sweet water bottle carrier secured - perfect for our hikes, trips, and concert season. Is it cheap? Nope. But I feel you get what you pay for. My hubs has had his same North Face rain jacket for almost 15 years, and he swears by North Face rain gear for the quality. Jocelyn also explained that all of their products are guaranteed against manufacturers defects for life - so you just have to bring it in and they will replace it. Sweet. Also, while it might be boring to some, I like that the styles and colors never really go out of style with tNF. I have had most of my tNF pieces since college and they are still kicking (shout out to my first Denali!). Of note, if it has been a minute since you have visited The North Face in the Fashion Mall, they are now in a smaller space upstairs - no longer beside the Apple Store space on the first floor. read more

The North Face is now on the second level of The Fashion Mall at Keystone. I found that out when I visited recently. The last time I visited, it was on the first floor. This is all very interesting, isn't it? What does it mean, that the store is now on the second floor? I don't know. But for me, it means walking slightly more steps to look at winter coats. I bought my current winter coat at this North Face store when it was on the first floor, so more than seven years ago. My current North Face coat is still going strong and looking good. But I'm always keeping my eyes open for "the next new thing," whether that be coats or what have you. So I popped into North Face to see what was what. You can probably find more selection and sales online, but there is just something about going into a store to feel fabrics and try things on. A brick-and-mortar coat store is nice. Great store with nice design and organized space. Lots of clothing selections, but not so much gear choices (there were like 5 backpacks only). Make sure to sign up for VIP rewards and keep an eye on sale events - they are pretty frequent. The store staff is always friendly and helpful. read more

Fantastic store always helpful staff ready to show you all the latest great stuff you may not even know you needed. Not real wild about the latest renovations taking out the changing rooms but meh can't stand in the way of progress. If you ever have a problem they will handle it very quickly. If you know your sizes you can get everything online and more, but sometimes it's still fun to go to the actual store and see what you might need! read more

So I came to this location for a rock-climbing event, and absolutely loved it! I've worn and owned North Face gear in the past, but I'd never been to a North Face store. The presentations were my favorite part of my experience here. Several different employees & climbing experts spoke on their personal experiences and favorite climbing gear & locations. I've been rock wall climbing a few times & really enjoyed it, so I was happy to meet a community of people from which I could learn more in-depth info about where to climb in the Midwest. Apart from the intriguing presentations & discussions, each attendee got free beer & free food! What more could you ask for? We got to shop around after the event. Each employee I spoke to was extremely knowledgable and delivered great service. I've got my eye on a new day pack for hiking and some awesome climbing shoes! Just gotta save up the $$, but when I do I will 100% be back to this location to purchase! read more

All The North Face products come with a lifetime warranty. I recently had to use it on an item I bought last year. I send all my clothes to be professionally cleaned, and one of my sweatshirts returned from them with the logo severely cracked. I am pretty sure my cleaner is responsible, but they refused to do anything. So I took it to the store at Keystone at the Crossing, where they helped me with the paperwork, explained the warranty process thoroughly, and took my garment to ship at their cost to the processing center. Flash forward four weeks, today FedEx delivered a box which I was sure contained my damaged sweatshirt, I was very surprised when I opened it and found a brand new sweatshirt very similar to what I had sent in. High-end outerwear/hiking/clothing store in the Fashion Mall. I'm excited Indy has a North Face store now. The closest one was in Chicago on Michigan Ave for the longest time. I have browsed and shopped here several times since they opened this year. The store has a large men's & women's section, shoe section, as well as a cool looking fitting room in the center of the store. They are well-versed in hiking & running tips for the area, and if you talk to a sales associate they will let you know about everything you could ever want to hear about the topic. They have some accessories & a large back pack/suit case/sleeping bag selection also. You can choose from a fleece, top coats, layered shirts/coats, gloves, toboggans, shirts, and more. Know you will spend over $100 probably, and you could drop nearly $200 before you leave, but you'll be warm all winter long. They even have a water fountain to fill up your water bottle. read more

The 3 stars are ONLY BECAUSE I know the high quality of their products. The store at the Indianapolis Keystone Crossing Mall needs better staff. I wanted to buy a $158 backpack and knew exactly what I wanted. However, no staff member (and several were not busy) bothered even to greet me let alone work with me to make the purchase. Now I can see one reason online shopping is killing stores in malls. I'll buy the North Face backpack I want, but I'll do it online thanks. read more

This is a nice store, very clean and appears well kept. The employees have all been friendly and helpful. I'm not sure how well stocked the store is as we are newer to north face clothing. There seem to be a lot of options but I found other colors and styles at other stores and online afterwards that weren't in the store. If you want something, get it as they ran out of the coat I was looking at within a week and couldn't tell me if they'd ever be getting any more in bc they don't know what comes in in their shipments. read more

So I'm transitioning from moving from sunny Hawaii to snow country for the first time in my life. I stopped into The North Face to see if they had anything that would be warm enough for the cold winter months (even though it is the middle of June). They had tons of stuff, from summer active wear, to winter wear, and everything in between. Plus, a lot of their winter stuff was 30% off! Super score! I walked in and felt immediately overwhelmed. Everything looked and felt so foreign. I was greeted by a sweet guy named Aunders (hope I spelled that right!) and told him my predicament. I also asked him a slew of (possibly stupid) questions about winter wear: "Can you wear this with two jackets underneath?" "Do I wear actual clothes under this?" "Can I get this wet?" "I wear this in the snow, right?" "Do people wear this stuff in June? Because I'm really cold now!" Never once did he make me feel dumb. Because really, I'm a virgin to weather colder than 70 degrees. He was so knowledgeable and uber patient and helped me find a few things that I could wear now and wear under what I had already got for winter. He also stayed 30 minutes after he was supposed to leave for home, just so he could make sure I got what I needed. I've never experienced such excellent customer service. I'm in love with their product, the knowledge of their staff, and their awesome warranties. I will definitely be back either to a North Face store or online if I need more winter wear! read more

Five stars for exceptional customer service today! We were in Indianapolis on business, and his orthotic had a broken strap. We stopped in to the North Face store looking for a Velcro strap to buy, They did not have in stock what we needed, but they insisted on helping, and brought out some Velcro from their stock room, and strapped the orthotic back together, and we were good to go! A truly unbelievable experience today. I bought a parka nine days ago and hung it in my closet to be used when the weather dictated. Yesterday, I bring it out and discover that there is a small hole in the collar. I still have the tags and the receipt and the coat had not been worn. I take the coat to the store and the young man behind the desk took it across the store to the back for several minutes. He returned and stated that it could not be returned because it was damaged . . . the exact reason I was returning it! He said that I was being untruthful because the hole was a burn from a cigarette (I do not smoke nor had the coat been worn). He then stated I could do a warranty repair but that was "being generous" because again I was being untruthful and the coat damage was from an ash and the coat had a smoke odor so it was clear that it had been worn. Again, I had not worn it, nor do I or anyone in my family smoke. I was told to take the warranty repair which takes 8 weeks or take the coat back home with me. I'm assuming that I had purchased a coat that had already been damaged and just didn't notice until I got home. His attitude and approach were unacceptable and its not likely that I will make a purchase from this brand or location again. I'm still just blown away at his unprofessionalism. read more

The selections are great and if they don't have the item in stock you or they can just place an order for it.Since the remodel has finally completed on that side of Keystone mall, you can now enter the store on the outside of the mall without having to walk through the mall now. read more

I must say I love this location. During the ski season I went into this location to find a ski outfit. They had an assortment of 2018 popular colors. The employees were very helpful and tried to help me find something. I left with a jacket, but no pants. This location only carries the regular length. I had to order a short length in a size large. I wouldn't say this brand can accommodate large curves. I currently wear a 7/8 and I wear large. They only go up to an extra large. I've also have ordered online and picked up in the store from this location. They've never lost anything. Good experience overall. read more

Great and helpful store manager I bought an access backpack and a Rolling thunder luggage bag that broke a rear support on my first trip kinda sad because it was a 400 dollar bag. I don't know if they are willing to cover the damage like they said the equipment they sell is covered for life but I'll have to call and check if the warranty policy covers the what happened to my bag. read more

Will never shop at your stores again. I bought a pair of boots last week because they had the icepick technology. I went home and tried them on. I wanted to make sure they would grip the ice. I wore them outside for five minutes to test them (how else would I have known whether they actually helped or not?). I almost fell on a small patch of ice. I took them to the store to return, and I can only get store credit because you know your products are awful and don't want to lose money. Now I have store credit that I will never use. read more

This afternoon, I took my daughter to The North Face store at the Keystone mall to look for snow boots. The guy who brought the boots was clueless about the product he was there to sell, and never once returned to check on us. I wanted to try a pair, too, so we waited for an employee to come by to help us. There were a male and female standing nearby, close enough to hear their voices, chatting away, and I thought they were simply other customers. I continued to look for an employee, but other than the three working the registers, I didn't see any others. We continued to look over the boots and to wait. It was then that I realized the two people standing there chatting, not 10 feet away from us, were employees. I asked them if they worked there, and one of them said "Yes." I said to her, "You work here, and you've been standing there talking for 10 minutes while I needed help!" By that point I was fed up, and if my daughter hadn't loved her boots so much, we would have left without purchasing them. After paying for the boots, I told the "manager" what had happened, and judging from his reaction, I can pretty much guess that he couldn't have cared less about his deadbeat employees. If this is the quality of personnel (or lack of quality) The North Face wants representing the company, then that's truly unfortunate. I do want to express my appreciation for the employee who checked us out, (Kierra P) however, as she apologized for what had happened; words that the man wearing the Store Manager tag never uttered once. read more
