I know it's hard to get help these days but damn. After id shopped on my own for awhile i went up and got in line. One of the staff walked away from the registers and leaned on a shelf and chatted with one of her friends on her phone for the entire time I was waiting. Other than her saying hello to me when I walked in she didn't do anything work related the entire time I was there. There was a very young looking man working the register who couldn't have been nicer though. read more

I went to the Shoe Carnival at 82nd Street in Indianapolis and bought two pairs of men's shoes yesterday, but the soles of one pair of shoes had dirty marks. However, there was only one pair left. After repeated confirmation with the cashier, she told me that I could get a refund within sixty days if I was not satisfied. When checking out, she picked up the shoes and confirmed them repeatedly and checked them carefully inside and outside. She also saw the dirty marks on the soles, but under her guarantee, I bought the defective shoes. My husband tried the shoes and felt uncomfortable, so I took them to the store to return them today, but I don't know if it was the manager or some rubbish who wouldn't let me return them. He saw that the soles were dirty. I said you can watch the surveillance. The soles were like this when I bought them yesterday. I bought them because I was told I could return them later. What reason do you have for not letting me return them? Then do you know why you are still selling these defective shoes? They said I could get a refund but now I can't, it's rubbish. Every customer should turn on the video recorder when buying something, otherwise there will be no evidence to prove what they said. I never make malicious comments, it's just that this incident is too infuriating. Anyway, I will never shop at this store again. It's rubbish, the things are not necessarily cheaper than other stores, and there are not many choices. The tall and skinny manager is especially rubbish, he doesn't solve problems for customers but creates them. I hope people can see this and avoid this location . If you can't see this, it means they paid someone to delete my review. read more

So I have not been to Shoe Carnival for a long time because, I am a shoe addict in ever sense of the word. I have no where to put another pair of shoes! I took a photo of my shoe wall and employees are shoe stores are wowed each time. This review is all about customer service because I came to pick up a pair of shoes for my mom that she had on hold. I walked and was greeted by two employees immediately. I opened my mouth to say "I am here to pick up a ...." and they immediately finished my sentence, " pair of shoes on hold for my mom's name." Impressive! One of the young ladies went to get the shoes, escorted me to a register where I was greeted by another employee who rang up my purchase. She offered me the option to sign up for their rewards program but did not pressure me to do so. It was easy and painless so I did it. I was in and out in less than 5 minutes! This is impressive because: 1. It was Castleton afternoon during rush hour traffic and I certainly was not in the mood for retail therapy. 2. I needed to get home to start dinner. 3. Price was right 4. Service was quick and friendly!!! read more

Mmmm. it's okay. The selection for men's athletic shoes isn't great in my opinion but sometimes they have good deals. The music was sooooo loud today that I couldn't even think and I finally ran out. I just need some new shoes damnit. read more

Pretty crazy that they shut down the restrooms but still want my money but can't have someone sanitize the restroom. When they've been open at every store I've been at. Won't get my purchase!!! read more

Ok, so I added a star to make up for the unfair (IMHO) 1-star review. I saw my favorite New Balance running shoe in their sale flyer that came in the mail. $10 cheaper than what the New Balance store and the Shoe Show store is selling it for. Plus, there was a $10 off coupon in the flyer. I needed a new pair of running shoes, so BINGO, off I go. They had my exact size in stock. The manager/salesman was helpful and courteous. The cashier was friendly and rang it up correctly. I saved $20 off $60, net $40 + tax. I was buying my shoes at DSW and Shoe Show, other local discount/closeout shoe stores. But this place has a larger selection, and at least this time, was cheaper. I'll still browse Shoe Show and DSW when in their areas and have time to bargain hunt. But when on a mission, I'll likely go here now. Me so happy. ---- More to the story.... New Balance shoes come in both regular and Extra Wide (EEEE) widths. My fave is the "trail running" shoe, model 510. It has a tread that covers the full sole. There are no "soft spots" exposed where a stick or thorn or broken glass can penetrate. It is also very well cushioned and is comforable for walking. read more

Monica was a great help. I wear a size 15/14 depending on shoe type. While finding such sizes is challenging, Monica spent about 25 minutes finding various shoes to try. Actually ended up with about 12 different types in styles similar to what I was looking for. Was very impressed by her service. read more

Employees standing around gossiping all over the store. Go to check out and there are 3 customers ahead of us, no big deal. Cashier wasn't the fastest, but she was friendly and helpful to everyone. No other register was opened during our 20+ min in line, despite the act that at one time there were 7 employees standing at the front 2 registers. Asked the employees at other register if it was open and was told- no, she's counting the drawer in. If that takes 7 people, I can see why things might get confusing. ‍ read more

The customer service in this store is horrible. The employees act like they hate their jobs & in return treat the customers poorly. I'll shop elsewhere next time. read more

Well you know that you're not doing to shabby, when you go to buy 1 pair of shoes & walk out with 2! I went here to shop for a pair of dress shoes for my 11 years old. The sales guy showed me the buy one get one free sale. I only had a certain amount to work with to begin with. After it was all said done, I walked away with not only two pair of shoes for the price of one, but also got an additional $3 off! I haven't shopped here in years. I have to admit, I have been sleeping on Shoe Carnival. Now I must stay connected because I need all the deals one can through my way & I can afford to catch! read more

Great Manager named Sean, he was so kind and helpful. Very happy about his service.

DON'T go to this location! Went in and 3 employees walking around and no one offered help. When I asked for a shoe in my size they said the girl could take care of me. When I got to the register she had to idea what she was doing and kept getting mad at the computer. I also gave her a coupon on my phone. After about 20 minutes I finally got my shoes and she said it would be 2-4 weeks! I just wanted out of there, the whole thing was just awkward because of how rude she was... when I got out I looked at my reciept and she didn't even use my coupon. I hate that store so much I didn't not even want to go back to say anything. I just know I will never go back there, yuck! read more

Great sales...very helpful staff. Four people offered to help, and when I had a question about using my coupon with the sale, the employee double checked and got right back to me. read more

Nice shoes...horrible customer service. =/ I don't normally give bad reviews but I was just shocked at the lack of kindness. I was excited because there was a buy one get one half off sale and when I went to ask one of the employees if it was the entire store, she just sighed and muttered yes except for clearance. I also felt like I was a "bother" simply by checking out. The lady helping me didn't even look me in the eye and barely said a word to me. There were so many employees there but most of them were just socializing together like a little clique, no one asking to help. Yikes! Got some great shoes..but will not be returning. Too bad because they would have gained one shopaholic if they had shown a little respect! read more

I went in on Thursday and I was in the store for awhile before anyone could help me, there were multiple people working. When I finally went to the register I was greeted by a young lady, she was tall, I forgot her name. She apologized for no one helping me, and said that the manager was making her work while everyone else stood around her. I also overheard the manager (she was a lady) being extremely rude to the Coworkers and also the people shopping in the store. She was calling people retarded and slow and I really didn't appreciate it, Especially when she is saying it out loud for the whole store to hear her. As the cashier was checking me out, the manager was saying rude comments to her, saying how she is slow and having a nasty tone towards her. The manager has black and blonde hair and I think her name was Dawn or something like that. I've seen her before. But I don't think I'm going to come back to this shoe carnival with extremely rude service. read more
