This is a very cool place to hold an event. Other than the main hall, there are many other spaces to rent for special occasions. Yesterday, our friend had his surprise birthday party here and we got to enjoy what this place had to offer. The good was average, but the drinks and service were great. Beer hall part of the property we were in also looked amazing, If I ever need an event hall for a large gathering, I will certainly keep this place in mind.

The table settings were beautiful and the chairs are so classy

I had my baby shower here and we had a great time. We had a brunch for ladies in the blue room and the men went to the newly renovated Hive restaurant. The blue room was perfect for baby boy baby shower. They have the doors in the back of the venue that led to the parking lot which made set up and break down so much easier. They charged me $51 per person for the brunch and $30 per bottle for the champagne. Please be aware they charge 25% service fee for the catering parties and all transactions. They also charge a 3.5% fee for using credit cards. I charged the champagne on a different tab and I was disappointed they charge me 25% service charge just for my champagne tab. However, the Platt is affordable for a major catering hall in nassau county area and beautiful inside. The men at the baby shower loved the Hive and they said the service was great. I think they even had more fun than the ladies lol. My maitree D Gabby was great and ran the party smoothly. Also, Donovan was great in assisting all of my questions and concerns for my event. Christian and Debbie were also very helpful when it came to booking and planning the event which made the party process smooth. The blue room is perfect for baby showers and it was spacious enough for all the decor including a bouncy house!

Saturday night Memorial Day weekend, they had plenty of servers on staff. We never needed to wait at the bar. We tried to enter from the back lot but there was an unexpected cash only $8 cover for a band there that night. So we had to walk to the front and trade an ID to go use the cash machine. I digress. We decided to sit down and eat to get a glimpse of the full menu and it did not disappoint. Lots of options with some basics like chicken fingers and fries for the little ones. The restaurant is really like an extravagant old world bar. Lots of TV's around the bar to catch whatever game you want. Weird they didn't have drink menus available in hand, the bar tender said they are usually on one or two TVs. Peculiar. That night all the TVs were on the Yankee game. The lightning and wood work are also worth a mention. Even they outdoor seating is partially covered so even if it sprinkles you can still enjoy the band outside. And there was an abundance of picnic tables. This place is definitely a unique experience, make sure you walk around and take in all it has to offer before you decide where you are going to settle in. **they also had potato soup that was fab! Amongst the other appetizers pictured.

A massive area! Areas for everyone - groups, families, couples looking to chill at the bar. When we came on a Friday, there was a cover & a band. We came for a quick bite but easily could have stayed for awhile by the fires outside and relaxed.

It's unfortunate what has become of the food here. I have been coming to this restaurant for a very long time, and although it's been a while since my last visit, I expect the food to be good as it was the last time I visited. Alas, it was not to be. The Jaeger snitzel was tasteless, smothered in a mushroom sauce made of canned mushrooms and lacking all flavor. The beef roulade was no better than boiled beef devoid of any seasoning. The red cabbage was overcooked with no flavor other than vinegar. This place used to be the place for a great German meal, but it is no longer. Maybe it's still good as a Biergarten with live bands, but even the beer selection is limited, so I'm not too sure if one can say it's a great Biergarten. The food and the service of the past is no longer what is here.

Sauerbraten with spaetzle and red cabbage. Gravy was flavorful but the meat dry.

A lot going on here. There's a beer garden out back and inside a sweet 16 was happening next to the Hive Restaurant which is where we were. Bread they bring for the table was great as was the potato pancake and pretzel. Will come back and try the beer garden with love entertainment.

This spot was a real surprise to me. When I first found it, I just looked at the food images. It's a really nice spacious authentic Biergarten! The food and beer were great. Everyone was really nice. This is a chill spot where families come to spend time and watch sports. There was a great band playing 90s music. When you enter there is a cover charge but it's definitely worth it!

Different type of place for me. Went and had some finger foods with my 2 good friends. Wings, sliders, this place has them. But don't forget the beer. Service was outstanding. Place was renovated a bit but still has that traditional setting. Go and try it

Went yesterday at noon. Food was old and stale. It was cold. Potato pancakes and little Baverians were tasteless and rubbery.

Ask the Community - Plattduetsche Park

Does this restaurant offer a lot of vegetarian/ Vegan options?

How's the sauerbraten?

Excellent

Is a reservation required?

The dining room is on the smaller side so I would recommend making a reservation to be on the safe side. For larger groups (more than four) it is a must.

Housed in a landmark Floral Park building, this gem has a warm ambiance with low lighting, leather booths, and quiet background coffee-sleepy-jazz in the background (Though, as a fan, I wish they hadn't messed with the Sly and the Family Stone's "If You Want Me To Stay" :D). There is an inviting large bar, an open kitchen, and a large private room in the back. The menu is American classics made with premium ingredients. Although his place is known for their single malt whiskey, craft beer and signature cocktails, only one at our table had a cocktail: EZ Money made with gin, prosecco, lemon, cucumber and St- Germain Elderflower Liqueur. I will look at their wine list next visit. As for the food, the garlic bread and calamari did not disappoint. Our table ordered a variety of dishes. A unique rotisserie chicken salad sandwich, a salmon bowl, and an order of mussels. Each dish was a win. I chose a great mesclun green salad and had to try the double smash burger, a mouth-watering proprietary blend of prime chuck, brisket and short rib which I'd have to talk myself out of not re ordering with my next visit. Finding the huge parking lot in the back was very convenient but I should have walked to the front to avoid the stairs in the rear entrance. We made it inside to find that it greatly resembles a sports bar, with one hundred and one televisions plastered on the wall. Seriously, 100 televisions was enough, that one extra television was the one Domino that set everything in motion. I was so fascinated and trying to watch every television set in sequence. I needed a horses blinder in order to restrict my vision to focus on one televisions. Besides all of that, Trotters has a lively, upbeat atmosphere yet it did provide a touch of romance if you could focus. Santiago was our waiter. Very poised and possessing self-assuredness. Santiago provide exceptional customer service in all areas. His side kick assisted us as well with such professionalism. FOOD* Apps- spinach artichoke dip with corn chips. Home of the BEST and REALEST Nashville Hot Fried Chicken sandwich that is HALAL in NY!!!!…read more I've tried various Nashville Hot halal sandwiches and they just never met my standard... except this one at Crave Shack's. It's not drenched in sauce or powdery from being over seasoned. It's just absolute perfection and has that Nashville Hot spice that kicks in over time when you take a bite. This isn't a spice level to be scared of. It's pretty tolerable if you're used to some heat. The benefits of it not being drenched in sauce means that you can actually enjoy the crunch of the fried chicken. You're going to want to enjoy the crunch because it is crispy and nice! The pickles are a great addition in them too. I love their unique takes of over rice dishes. The Jerk Chicken is an absolute must as well as their steak over rice. Both over rice dishes that you don't really see at other similar establishments and should be deemed as Crave Shack's staples because it started here. Haha. The Crave wings are drenched in Guyanese flavors and it's something to definitely try when you are there along with your rice dish. It's tangy and sweet... straight fire!!! The Crave Burger is absolutely crazy! Smoked in-house, the brisket and the patty, and always made fresh daily... The quality of this burger is definitely worth the price tag. It's a perfect combination that'll put you to sleep because you'll catch the "itis". I just think that once again, Crave, has really started something with topping a burger with brisket rather than the typical "bacon" ordeal. Simply put... Crave Shack lives up to its name by leaving you wanting more once you're out that door!
