    "AFTER" Kitchen remodel
    Traci B.

I can't say enough about how happy we are with Platinum Kitchens. The entire experience from first meeting to completion was stellar. We certainly didn't have a large kitchen area (or budget) but the team never made us feel like we were unimportant or "just a little job". Our selection designer and project manager were not only knowledgeable about industry trends/products, but also patient, helpful, and professional. Both went out of their way to answer questions and accommodate our personal "quirks" with an easy-going attitude. We never felt like there was pressure to up-sell, "nickel-and-dime us" or the dreaded bait-n-switch trick. All costs were transparent and all aspects of job logistics are handled through the project management app. so you can easily keep track of schedule and budget. As mentioned in other comments, each crew of skilled tradesmen were top-notch talent, quick, thorough and cleaned up their mess! We are thrilled with our kitchen remodel, the process and the Platinum Kitchen team(s). We highly recommend scheduling them for a turn-key approach to your kitchen remodel. I only wish we could hire them to tackle the rest of our house!

    Old dark kitchen

As the pictures show, our dated 1980s kitchen was dark and boxy until Michael Karp arrived. He listened to our ideas, offered his own suggestions, and gave us an open floor plan concept beyond our expectations! Of course we had our challenges along the way but both our project manager, Tony, and Mike remained professional and helpful. They utilized the BuildersTrend app for communication as well as scheduling, material choices, invoices, etc--it gave us easy access to the whole project. Contrary to other reviews, we had no difficulty communicating by email or phone. The office and design staff were always positive and helpful. The work crew was courteous and cleaned up daily. Although the project completion did run late, it was well worth the wait. Everyone worked with us to assure the project met our expectations. Thank you, PDK!!

Too dark and too much variation in the stain. Is that intentional?

FORGET WHAT YOU'VE HEARD, WE REALLY JUST DO KITCHENS! Due to concerns generated from the reviews, I had decided not to visit this particular company. However, they carried a specific cabinet, (Kith) that my husband wanted to see so away we went. After browsing around for a while, we met with Mike and he talked to us about cabinet construction and features. We were actually able to see examples of the framed, (sturdy) and unframed (cheaper) options. Although it is difficult to believe that someone would actually choose a poorly constructed cabinet over a quality one, they may because less frame means more space in the drawers and cabinets. We really appreciated Mike's time but it is clear that they really only design and remodel kitchens because these are the big ticket items and how they make money. So, if you just want cabinets, you should probably choose a different company. After speaking with Mike, we met Jane one of the designers who would help us with the specific design of our cabinets. As we continued looking at their cabinet options, we noticed that many of the the stains used either didn't have a depth of color or just seemed to be applied unevenly so that there is great variation in the finished project. This was very clear as we observed one of their staged kitchens. I don't know if this is an intentional treatment of accident but it just didn't fit our personal aesthetic. Although the display or sample is not always indicative of the type of work that will be done on your particular project, it should be because what else are you basing your opinion on? I can't help but think that if the sample is sloppy, my piece will be sloppy. Eventually, we decided that they just did not have what we were looking for so we will continue to explore our options. This place is great if you want a country, white or shabby chic kitchen because they had a nice selection of distressed cabinets in various colors and stains. Their white bath vanity system was actually one of my favorites. There was nothing shabby about this piece and it was actually very nice as was the laundry display. In other words the lighter pieces were fine but the ones with stain just weren't as attractive. Things that gave me pause: Their manufacturer is located in Alabama. I really prefer local services because if there is a problem, it can be easily addressed and a lot of businesses will allow you to visit your piece and see the work in progress which is nice. It takes five weeks to get two vanities completed and delivered so imagine how long it would take to get a completed kitchen? Too long! Read those reviews again. Movin on!

I cannot believe the job your guys did on the first day. Professional and crazy efficient. Must be their process(pix below).

We had water damage that caused us to have to remodel our whole downstairs. We have a 7 day old here and are trying to welcome her home all while dealing with this renovation. Mike and his team, however, have been efficient, courteous, and have far exceeded my expectations. They have kept the noise down in order to make our transition easier and the results so far are beautiful.

Yes, they do have beautiful options, but once they get your money you will be forgotten about and receive ZERO customer service. I was working on a kitchen remodel and the designers helped me to find some accent tile as well as trim pieces to match the statement tile I purchased from Floor & Décor. THAT'S WHEN MY GOOD EXPERIENCE ENDS! My tile did not arrive in the window of time I was given. I wasn't even notified. I called in to check the delivery status and low and behold, my tile had been received, but no one had cared enough to notify me. While picking up my tile I discover the wrong trim pieces were received. (If you're thinking this is no big deal, please read more reviews and you will see that this is a common error TinT has been making for years, yet they have done nothing to prevent it from happening. Also found out the same thing happened to my neighbor.) After days of calling and emailing the Store Manager, I finally received an email back from her stating my tile is estimated to be received in 9 days. You would think that I was in good hands now that I am dealing with the Store Manager, but you would be wrong. 9 days came and went and still no word from TinT. After waiting an additional 5 days I asked for an update and AGAIN my tile was sitting there, but NO ONE cared enough to notify me. I brought my dissatisfaction with their service to my designers attention and her response was "If we had sku numbers and tracking then that would be great, but we don't". Really?!? They caused me to delay my tile installer 3 times due to their continued carelessness and this is their response? To say I am disappointed would be an understatement. This is a high end store where customers are paying premium prices, so to receive this low level of customer service blows my mind. I spent ¼ of the price at Floor & Décor and received 1000% better service. PLEASE take your hard earned money to a store that values their customers!!!

After a week without being contacted by her, I reached out to Bennett AGAIN. He scheduled Scott, who leads the remodel business to come out to give initial consultation of my multi phased full home remodel. Scott was a NO CALL, NO SHOW. He was schedule to arrive at 3pm, at 3:30 I contacted Bennett and he told me Scott had a client emergency to tend to "broken pipe". YEAH RIGHT! Even if this were true, so far, the brief history of NO communication reigns supreme with this company. I understand things happen, but there is no excuse for NO communication. Maybe Affinity Stoneworks is accustomed to customers with unlimited time and money to waste. I am not that customer. I had to take off work to accommodate Scott's schedule just for him not to show up. How am I to trust Affinity Stoneworks will not take thousands of my dollars and disappear, not show up, and string me along. I cannot. I was really looking forward to collaborating with this company, their website photos are beautiful; I was hopping my house would be a gorgeous as the one's in their photo gallery. What a disappointment.

After living with the bathroom countertops in our home for over 10 years, we decided it was time to replace them AND get new sinks...in all three full baths. Yes, we're a little insane. I did all the usual things: browsed the big box stores, shopped online and then I reached out to a friend for a recommendation. This friend owned his own construction business for years and had just completed finishing his basement. I asked if he was happy with his countertops in the new bath and the bar area. The aswer was "absolutely - they did a great job, and gave us an awesome price" and he referred us to Surface Providers. When someone with his construction skills is happy with a company, that's a BIG plus. We headed up to their showroom within the week, where we met with Kyle. After explaining our project to him, we looked at sinks, made our choice and then went back into their warehouse & walked into what felt like acres of material! You want choice? They've got choice! We knew we didn't want marble again, so that helped us narrow down the aisles and almost immediately hubby and I both stopped in front of one and said "That's it". Fortunately, I'd already done some rough measurements of all three bathroom counters, so Kyle was able to give us a solid estimate that day and it was absolutely the best pricing we'd gotten anywhere. One hand surgery/recovery time and one old tub removal/new tub install later, we were ready for Surface Providers to come do the official measurement and mvoe forward with our countertops - Kyle had kept in touch with us the entire time, and quickly set up the appointment for measurement. In no time at all, our countertops were ready and we set up the install. Victor and his assistant were super nice, answered all our questions and got the countertops and sinks installed in no time. We were thrilled! Now comes the best part: there was a manufacturing flaw in one of the sinks that we didn't notice until we started to reconnect the plumbing. The drain of the sink wasn't manufactured straight, so it couldn't form a tight seal and kept leaking. Hubby reached out to Kyle, who quickly arranged to have a new sink delivered and installed. Quality - 100% Service - 100% Selection - 100% If we ever decided to redo our Kitchen, we won't waste time anywhere else. We'll head back up to Surface Providers.

We needed them for the kitchen counter, a huge island, a buffet, a built in dresser, a powder room and the master bathroom. My wife wanted Quartz, so I sold a kidney through uncle Joey to pay for it, and we eventually decided to go with a full height kitchen backsplash as well. I called several places, pricing was similar, but when I spoke to Matt "it was like Sparks, down on E Street!" Matt was so friendly and inviting and wasn't pushy. He just said our remnant yard is open, come by anytime you want and take a look. So we did. I can't remember if I called him, before or after we went by. We went through the show room and looked at several different Quartz samples, prices varied so much. We finally chose a very reasonably priced quartz product that looked very nice for the entire kitchen area, and the buffet in the dining room. For the other pieces, that were going throughout the house, we chose those out of the remnant yard. The remnant yard holds lots of different types of stone, and they are discounted, so you can find some great deals. I also ended up having the entire master bathroom shower bench, niche surrounds and threshold cut out of Quartz. Sorry for all the detail. Matt is a great person. I found him very sincere, helpful and honest. He was with me through the entire process. We had a few issues along the way, and trust me, if you haven't renovated expect issues. They're going to happen, it's how you and the people you deal with take care of them. That's when I met Don, the owner of G&M. What can I say, I wanted to hate the guy, but he was so nice! There was a small accident, which I understand can happen when dealing with these very large and heavy pieces of stone, and Don without hesitation took care of the problem. I have to mention Glauco, the installer. This guy was great, his whole crew was great. Good luck! Once the house is cleaned up, I will try and update with some pictures.
