Horrible experience. Owner Bennett seems decent; however, his team does not have good follow through. Tiffany on design team never reached out to me as promised. After a week without being contacted by her, I reached out to Bennett AGAIN. He scheduled Scott, who leads the remodel business to come out to give initial consultation of my multi phased full home remodel. Scott was a NO CALL, NO SHOW. He was schedule to arrive at 3pm, at 3:30 I contacted Bennett and he told me Scott had a client emergency to tend to "broken pipe". YEAH RIGHT! Even if this were true, so far, the brief history of NO communication reigns supreme with this company. I understand things happen, but there is no excuse for NO communication. Maybe Affinity Stoneworks is accustomed to customers with unlimited time and money to waste. I am not that customer. I had to take off work to accommodate Scott's schedule just for him not to show up. How am I to trust Affinity Stoneworks will not take thousands of my dollars and disappear, not show up, and string me along. I cannot. I was really looking forward to collaborating with this company, their website photos are beautiful; I was hopping my house would be a gorgeous as the one's in their photo gallery. We recently used Affinity for our kitchen remodel. It turned out better than we could have imagined!!! Affinity had everything we were looking for in countertops and backsplash. The project manager, Brian, was great to work with. He set the timeline for our project and nothing changed on their end. All the guys they sent out to work at our house showed up on time and were knowledgeable, extremely polite and easy to work with. Carlos,their tile guy knocked it out of the park!!! We picked a small herringbone tile and we wanted the tile to go up to the ceiling over our kitchen sink. We have 3 large arched windows over the sink and we were concerned that if the herringbone was off in anyway, it would look terrible. Carlos and his guy did a phenomenal job! Now when you walk into the kitchen that tiled wall acts as a piece of art...it is so beautiful!! We have gotten so many compliments on it. We loved working with Affinity because they were good to their word and each guy they sent out arrived on time and knew exactly what to do. No one was late and the project was completed on time. **after talking with Brian we mentioned in passing that we wanted our cabinets refaced but didn't know who to call. He suggested we try Best Price Custom Cabinets. We went from boring white cabinets to a beautiful blue cabinet. Our kitchen remodel exceeded our expectations!! Highly recommend using Affinity for your renovation needs!! **The only thing I would suggest to Affinity management would be that the front of the house staff could be friendlier. If it weren't for my husband and I popping in on a random Saturday and met Brian, I'm not sure they would have gotten our business. Brian was the one who sold Affinity! Our General Contractor for a master bath remodel suggested Affinity Stoneworks as a potential supplier for our vanity countertop. We met the contractor at the showroom for our appointment. We met with Norris, who asked a few questions and he began showing options for us to choose from. We selected a Quartz slab for the countertop. When the time came to install the counter top, the Affinity tech came to measure and template for the Vanity and backsplash. The GC cabinet make was on site and assisted with the measurements, but unfortunately communicated an error to the Affinity technician. When it came some to install the countertop, the guys were very professional, on time and completed the install in minimal time. The custom storage towers we were having built were not yet in place, so the backsplash couldn't be installed at the same time. Our GC walked off the job when I refused to continue paying in advance for work not completed properly. It was several months before we had the towers installed and were ready for the backsplash. I called Affinity and explained the situation. They still had the uncut slab for the backsplash. They confirmed information and had someone come and measure, cut and install the same day! After reviewing their website I wish we had hired them for the whole remodel, versus the incompetent shysters we wound up with. read more

GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE, BUT NEEDS TO UPDATE SHOWROOM! When I walked into Affinity, I had just planned to wander around and look at their inventory. However, Chris was quick to jump up and offer assistance. Great! I was under the impression that they just provide granite and quartz, but according to Chris to do much more and also carry kitchen and bath accessories. He walked me through the show room to show me the various samples of granite. They also have quartz and it is important to note that much of what is available right now is white simply because it is on trend. Colors are limited in the granite while quartz has more options. Unfortunately Affinity's showroom is very dated (15 years old), so what you see, (counter tops and cabinetry), is no longer available. This is too bad because it limits their ability to sell products. The company that I eventually chose for cabinets and counter tops had a very updated showroom, met the technical and certification requirements and was well stocked. Everything I saw and liked was immediately available which made for a very easy sell. Once Affinity updates their inventory they will be a great option for counter tops and cabinets because they will be able to offer a more complete experience. I wish them the best! read more

Affinity tore out and installed new quartz countertops, sink, and backsplash in our kitchen. They made sure their work was correctly done and done on schedule. Stopped by to look at a piece of stone for a wetbar. They had several scrap pieces that all looked pretty good. We were given a worst-case-scenario cost and then awaited the quote. Two days later, the quote came and it was 80% more than this. They indicated the original quote was incorrect as the salesman was new on the job. The problem is, we got the same initial quote from the only two guys working there. It's unfortunate businesses are run this way. read more

Our experience with Affinity Stoneworks was very frustrating, and we wound up with a kitchen that we are not completely happy with. The biggest issue regarded the accent tile for the backsplash. I made my tile choices from samples shown to me in the Affinity shop. I picked out an accent tile that had very dark natural stone coupled with glass accents. While I was there, I was shown other samples that had light to medium stones with glass, but I rejected those in favor of the darker sample. I talked with the designer about how I liked that the dark stones picked up the dark color in the granite. I walked in about halfway through the installation of our backsplash. The accent tile being installed contained almost all light to medium natural stones, but virtually no dark stones as shown in the sample. I stopped the installation, and called the Affinity designer, and she immediately came to the house. First, she told me that it was a natural stone product, and I should expect variation. I would have understood variation, but when you show a sample that is almost 95% dark stone, and you install a product that is almost 100% light to medium stone, that is a completely different product, not a variant. To be fair, the designer did go back to the warehouse and search through all the boxes to find some dark stone tiles; however, she came back and said there were none. I don't think Affinity should show a sample and allow a customer to pick a sample and then not be able to provide that product. It was a very difficult situation, as we had a hard stop date for our installation that we could not avoid. Since Affinity could not provide the sample we picked, there weren't any other accent tiles that I liked that were readily available, and the tile they put in didn't look horrible, we allowed them to finish with the tile they had started with. However, it was not in any way what we wanted. The other issue had to do with communication. While we were given basic dates as to when things would happen, no one walked us through the process in any detail. As a result, we were shocked when they pulled the sink out of the kitchen. We had not expected that to happen for several days. Then, when the day came when we thought the sink was going to be installed, the workers told us that the sink would not be installed for 3 more days. We could have dealt with any of these issues easily had we had advance warning of them. However, we were not given any warning, and that disrupted our plans and made the installation much more frustrating. In total, we were without a sink and countertops for 11 days. Once the kitchen was completed, we asked Affinity Stoneworks for a 3% discount to compensate for the accent tile problem and the communication problems. Affinity approved a discount in the 1.5% to 2% range, which I thought inadequate given what we had to go through and our dissatisfaction with the accent tile. However, at that time, we were tired of dealing with them, so we took what they offered. Affinity sent us a revised invoice to reflect the discount. However, we discovered that Affinity had changed part of the invoice; originally, part of the project was bid to cost $3.50 per square foot. My CPA husband quickly saw on the final invoice that particular part of the project had been changed to cost $5.00 per square foot. We brought the change to their attention, and they did once again revise the invoice to reflect the original cost of $3.50 per square foot. If we had not caught that change, our discount would have gone down to about 1% or less. Overall, our experience is that you really have to watch the details with Affinity. Maybe they have gotten comfortable with their success and don't work as hard as they used to. Maybe my project wasn't big enough to warrant their full attention. Regardless, we wound up with something we're not entirely happy with, and the process was very, very difficult because of Affinity's lack of communication. If I had to do it all over again, I'd go with another company. read more

I have not actually had countertop job done yet but will probably go with Affinity because when I was in the neighborhood and stopped in to get a rough estimate, Melissa treated me as if l was embarking on the unlimited budget dream kitchen and I am only doing the bare minimum to prepare our house to sell. I had not showered, had no make-up on and could have easily been taken for a ragamuffin. Melissa spent as much time as needed, showed me various samples in and beyond my price range and worked up an estimate. I can't say enough great things about this company! I worked with Elizabeth on a remodel of our kitchen. She was incredibly knowledgeable and had "outside the box" ideas and plans. I was really nervous about the initial plan but I trusted Elizabeth and I am so glad I did!! My kitchen is amazing! She and her assistant Tina managed the project every step of the way and I was always kept abreast of the next steps.
