I'm a yelper so I was scared of the reviews but a friend in construction recommended me this company so I thought I'd give it a try since the price was 50-65% less than 10 companies I got quotes from. Went to the warehouse and picked the specific slab I wanted - this is important. You should go and see in person all the materials and pick THE slab you want because granite is a natural material and it varies a lot from slab to slab. I even discussed with Vanessa the way I wanted the pieces cut so that some imperfections would be less visible. If you have a rough estimate of surface area and shape it will help you get a better quote. Once you put the deposit they will come take measurements, and the whole process took about 2 weeks. Service men called before coming both for measurements and installation and they were on time. The installation was great, everything fit perfectly and the seam was very minimal and blends in really well. The granite turned out beautiful. For the price I think the service was amazing. Only con is that their inventory is not very large and if you are looking for a lighter or less busy pattern, they are rare and they might not have it. If you are flexible in color/pattern you might find something you like. They also have limited quartzite options for ~60$/sqft. read more

From start to finish, every employee we worked with was rude, aggressive, unprofessional and our entire experience was one of stress, frustration and dissatisfaction. The business's contract is loaded with typos, inconsistencies and false promises. It is a pitfall from the get go that only accepts cash or check. The salespeople are rude and cannot in any way answer the basic questions that you have for them. Upon receiving the deposit, the saleswomen feel like they officially have license to treat customers like garbage. They are trite, rude in person and on the phone and clearly don't care whether you are happy or not. On install day, you stand around a wait. If you're lucky, you are given a window in which they are supposed to allegedly arrive. Installers show up (or don't) whenever they wish. When they arrive, they are rude and loud and they mock the cabinetry work done before them. They complain about being there and then aggressively rush the job in order to head home. DEFECTIVE GRANITE, DISHONORABLE BUSINESS PRACTICES. SEE PHOTOS. I have purchased granite from Graniteand (AKA LAS Granite) once previously and so have my parents. On my first purchase, everything turned out well, and I got a good product for a good price. When my parents purchased, they also got a good price, but one piece of their granite had a prominent color defect, and after much haggling with the company, this piece was replaced. For my most recent purchase (last month) EVERY SINGLE PIECE OF GRANITE HAD PROMINENT COLOR DEFECTS. The granite looked nothing like the high-quality slabs I was shown. They have ruined my kitchen by cutting pieces of defective granite that any competent granite company would have discarded, and refuse to replace these pieces. Wow talk about service. Last Friday we had an install that went a little south. It was not the installers fault. it was the granite. As they were removing it from the truck the piece broke in two. We were all shocked and a little concern. Thankfully Yuni at 1895 granite said let me talk to my supervisor. A short time later with a spare piece they recut the sink and vanity. Today was the installation. I was apprehensive to say the least but the guys that showed up were great. Installed the vanity and sink in record time, and it looks great! I wish there was a way to do Negative stars. I went there and picked out my granite, gave measurements and signed a contract. I was given a date in which formal measurements are to be done, and so i took waiting for them all day and called several times to see when my appointment will be. I finally got a hold of one of the ladies there and was told my appointment was rescheduled for Monday. she said she called and gave me the incorrect number she called. I then assured her I will have someone waiting for the measurements on Monday. Monday comes and I call to see what time they will come, and was told my appointment was canceled. And they can not come today. When asked why, they gave no answer. Never give them your money, they will not show up. I understand why they do not take credit or debit card payments. They will find a way to keep your money and since they require check and cash this is easy. Please do not waste your time! read more

Horrible customer service! It was fine until my counter tops did not arrive on my scheduled day. When I called to find out where my order was Lauren told me I never had that date scheduled for delivery. When I told her that I received a confirmation call with my window time (2 days before) of 12-4 she told me that no one called me nor told me that. ( I have phone record to to prove that I got the call) Lauren basically called me a liar. I asked to speak with her supervisor or the owner. I was told that no one would speak to me other than her "my supervisor will NOT speak to customers". She was so very rude to me. Finally she said she would talk to her boss. I received a call back from a different rep. I was told the supervisor would discount $100 from my balance. When I kept questioning why?, I was told they had changed their schedule but had not informed me! I had cultured marble tops prior to, and my husband had already removed all of our bathroom tops and sinks. I went nearly a week without functioning bathrooms. When tops were finally installed the installer put my new boxed faucet in my top drawer and secured top. My faucet that I had I left out for him to cut holes by was trapped in the drawer. We had to cut the box to shreds to get the faucet out and in the process it got damaged. Do not use this company in a attempt to save money..Its not worth it! WARNING! Do not use this company! The sales ladies are unprofessional, condescending and actually lied to me. There is no customer service. I purchased quartz countertops (46 sq ft) for the kitchen and remnant pieces for two bathrooms. Also purchased 3 sinks for baths and kitchen sink. I requested seamless quartz countertops. The man came and measured, then I received an email saying I didn't need a second slab. The invoice attached to the email mentioned a 'seam' but I did not realize it meant a seam in the middle of my counter as I'd specifically and emphatically stated I did not want seams. I assumed (dumb me, I know) they meant the seams with the backsplash. Duh. I paid an extra $350 for a "rush" status. Installation day comes, the installers are 3.5 hrs late. There's a seam and it is an obvious thin dark line. The installer was rude and unhelpful. I called the office and no one would speak with me. The sink has a dent in it. The soap dispenser hole in the countertop is placed too far back and therefore dispenses soap on the counter - not into the sink. Have to hold whatever you want the soap to go into - at an angle under the dispenser. There is a small chip on the counter lip at the back of the sink. The backsplash is uneven widths. It is also installed crooked. They cut away part of the trim on the wood (and beadboard) backsplash and cut incorrectly so now there is a 1.5 x 4" gash in my wood backsplash at the end of the counter because one backsplash was four inches too long. The caulk job to the wood was horrendous - clumps and globs everywhere - very badly done. The silicone caulking of the countertop to the backsplash was also horrendous. Two-three inches of Silicone caulking on the countertops in the kitchen and both bathrooms! The countertop was not even glued down! I called and emailed with pictures to express my displeasure and have it fixed. One week later, a different installation contractor comes to 'fix' the crooked backsplashes. He was appalled at the original installation job. They removed all the 'extra-sloppy' silicone and redid the backsplashes. He determined the additional 4" of backsplash - needed to be replaced. One more week later, they return and finally install the correct backsplash length. So much for a "Rush". Not once did anyone say, "I'm sorry you're not satisfied!" They didn't admit to the job not being done properly. Initially the cost is less. However, the quality of the job is terrible and I will have to live with it. Very sorry for my decision to choose this company. Hoping this review will dissuade others from using them. One more thing. Company uses two names: 1895 Granite - yet all the paperwork is My SlabMart . Makes me wonder ...... read more

We recently went out to Alpharetta to check out LAS Granite (GraniteAnd.com) as it was the most affordable (cheapest) place that we could find. We'd already went to 2 other places and got quotes for our small bathroom countertop (under 12 sq ft). The first place quoted us at almost $1000! The second...$600! Both of these seemed high and still didn't get us even exactly what we were looking for. LAS Granite may not have a huge selection (they carry the standards) but the price for everything was only $340, including tear out and install! AND...that included a square undermount sink that all of the others REALLY made you pay out for! We paid on a Saturday, they came to measure on that Thursday, and then had it installed by the Monday after next...only 6 business days later...a total of only 2 weeks start to finish! We are beyond happy with them and have been recommending them to all of our friends! Thank you to everyone there!!! We had a good experience with LAS (aka GraniteAnd). The office staff was friendly. We ordered our granite and our countertops were installed the next week. It only took them 1.5 hour to take off our old tops and put on the new ones. They were little lax on timing. They would call and say one day and we would call a few times to double check and they moved the times once or twice but schedule glitches do happen. The timing is why I gave 4 stars. The guys who did the install were very respectful and gave us advice on how to care for the countertops. The measurements were all perfect and our granite looks great! They won't hook up sinks (they will install it) or any other plumbing but hey, they're there to do countertops, they aren't plumbers. For granite that was only $18.95 per sf, it was a great deal. Our renovation contractor said there is no way he could get any of his guys for that kind of price. My advice would be: If you use them, just stay on top of stuff. Call them to double check your times and your order. Make sure you check the measurements they take and sign off on them. Basically what you should do with any contractor. read more

I read the bad reviews and decided to have a frank conversation with the people at 18.95 Granite. After being satisfied with their answers to my questions, I decided to go with them. The process was flawless and the result beautiful. Rebecca was my point of contact and she did an excellent job. All phone calls were returned promptly and all follow up was timely. Service men called before coming. Measurement and installation appointments actually happened earlier than expected (all preceded by a call!). Great price! No surprises! No glitches! I would recommend these folks to anyone. NOTE: IF YOU ARE ONE OF THOSE PEOPLE WHO LIKES TO CHANGE YOUR MIND A LOT, THESE ARE NOT THE PEOPLE FOR YOU. My husband and I are new builders to the Atlanta area. We decided to give 1895 granite a try despite some of the mixed reviews. We are so glad we decided to only give them a try on one of our remodeling jobs to start. First of all we only got to see their fine print after we put down a deposit, and even then they have plenty of surprise charges that aren't disclosed. They tell you that the charge for a sink cutout is $150, but that's only if you buy their overpriced cheap sink. The actual charge for a sink cutout is $300, and if you'd like to give your customer their sink cutout as a cutting board, well too bad they don't let you keep it -despite the fact that you pay for the whole slab. Then when they come out to measure, that's when you find out you'll be charged another $120 for any large piece of granite/quartzite. We both had to laugh when they tried to tell us we needed to purchase two slabs (equal to 140 sq ft) to accommodate 55 sq ft of countertop - they tried to tell a couple builders that they could only get about 48 sq ft from one 70 sq ft slab (and don't forget you can't keep any part of the remaining stone that you don't use). Congratulations to them for running quite a racket of a company. The final straw for us was when we were told that they couldn't do rounded corners and bar tops. So you pay what works out to be going rate if not higher for subpar manufacturing. Our recommendation is to use another company with upfront pricing and fees who can provide you or your customers with the product they want without all the hidden fees and shifty business practices. read more

I've used Adrian and Leo twice already and since I'm recently divorced and moving in to a townhome that I'm going to remodel I'm going to use them a 3rd time. We've had nothing but great experiences with them. The quality of the work that they've done for us has always been top notch. Adrian has been doing this stuff for decades. Good luck finding someone with his experience that will only charge $18 sqft. The last house we remodeled when we went there he had a slab of Soapstone (never under $50 never!!) Guess how much he sold it to us for...........$18!!! How can I go anywhere else and pay $50, 60, 70? I might be loosing brain cells as I get older but I haven't lost that many!! read more

Whatever you do, don't choose this company! They are rude, nasty and unprofessional.... And liars. We ordered granite and said we wanted an upstand to go with it. They quoted us and said that we would only need 1.5 slabs and would have leftovers if needed. We also asked for rounded edges which we were told wasn't a problem. Their measure guy came and said everything was good and we would need to take our current backsplash tile off as there won't be room for the upstand, so we took all the tile off. The workers showed up and brought in the granite with no rounded edges. They begrudgingly agreed to round them only because they measured incorrect and the oven door wouldn't open. Their workmanship in rounding the edges were far from impressive and he said to my husband "come on man you want me to redo it. You got this cheap, what do you expect". The way they talked to both me and my husband was terrible. Then they told us they had ran out of material so they didn't do the upstand that we had PAID for and it was tough! Then upon inspection they had lined the sink up and it was off center and looks stupid! The worker huffed and puffed and told us we were wrong, until he measured and finally agreed it was off but so what!. He then said they are done and want their payment in full! We said hell no cause we didn't get our upstand and the sink is wrong. I called the office and they were just as rude as the workers! I told them we have 3 neighbors wanting granite and was told they don't care if we don't recommend them.... Oh I also forgot that the joins look terrible! Eventually the supervisor Francisco called me and he was so rude and talked down to be cause I am a women, when my husband took over the call he changed his attitude a little. He told us that He thought we were unreasonable to expect them to buy more material at their cost and put it right! WE PAID FOR IT TO BE INCLUDED! He said that he would call us back but didn't so we decided to tile the backsplash instead of having an upstand. 3 days later they called us and said he had material and would do the upstand but there was no issue with the sink.... Yes there was!. At this point I told him I didn't want him back in our house. He went crazy on me saying they would take us to court and put a lean on our house..... All we wanted was for them to show good costumer service and own up to their mistakes. We agreed to give them more money for them to just leave us alone without having the sink area fixed and the upstand. To sum it all up, their workmanship is shoddy, their costumer service is a joke and everyone that we dealt with was rude, nasty and lied! Feel free to contact me if you want evidence! Update 06/19/2019. On 05/24/2019 the manager, Francisco, called me and we had a good conversation about the 'incident' I stated below. We set an appointment for 05/27/2019 at 5pm, so I could verify information and confirm the cuts. However, Francisco was in a meeting when I arrived, and was still in the meeting when I left at 5:30pm. My representative, Vanessa, was more than willing and able to help me out and go over where I wanted what parts cut for each section of my counters. The installation was scheduled for 06/05/2019. As informed, I received a call from Vanessa on 06/04/2019 letting me know the time window for the installation. The installation was done by 3 guys who could not have been more friendly, helpful and courteous. They installed with minimal dust, I expected far more from the cutting they did, caulked and sealed the seams. The cut seam was lined up with the granite features so it's hardly noticeable, and they sanded and polished the epoxy. There were a few nicks in the granite, which the installers filled, sanded and buffed. I've changed my rating from a 1 to a 4 due to Vanessa taking the reigns and Francisco taking action after I complained about my treatment. I have a few friends who are looking for granite countertops. I told them my entire story and informed them to ask for Vanessa. I hope they get treated from start to finish, how I was treated after my complaint. read more

I placed the order for my granite with Vanessa and also told her I was alarmed by thre Google reviews. She mentioned it was customers disagreeing. I find it VERY hard to believe the 5 Stars given by some recent "customers". Obviously not customers at all. This is the worst company I have ever dealt with. Please be warned, looks like they have good prices but the quality of their slabs and the contracts & rules they have, not to mention their customer service, should have made me run! My fault I didn't read the contract thoroughly before putting a deposit down. And who makes you put a deposit down before they even will do an estimate! That should have been my red flag but it was a long day and I was tired. You think they have good prices til you find out you have to buy the whole slab! Check around to all other granite companies & you will find paying $28-$40 a square ft for only what you need and way better quality & choices is still cheaper than 1895 Granite. And they only accept cash or checks. Folks there is a reason for this! If you read their contract and you cancel your order before they do a single thing, they will still keep part of your deposit, $250, though they haven't lifted a finger!!! They wouldn't be able to do this if you paid by debit or credit card!!! Check BBB on this company and all their aliases. I loved the price and loved the look of their work on their website, but the details such as rough spots not corrected, not polished under island area where we sit often, cracks due to settling of my house left too wide (my fingers fit between the wall and granite) to fix correctly, silicone spots left on counters, sinks, and floors (just to name a few). Our sales person said she would get us on the books to fix, but after two months it never happened. Now that it has been over four months since the instillation, it is safe to say that they do not stand behind their word. I would recommend for a new built home, but it was not good for an older home (one that is beginning to settle). Perhaps I should have walked behind them as they installed. I hired "LAS Granite", AKA "GranteAnd", AKA "18.95 GRANITE, LLC" 4 months ago to put granite in my entire home. 1 kitchen, 1 bar and 4 bathrooms. The first crew they sent to do my kitchen and bar did a decent job, however, I'm not at all content with the seams, one of which is through the middle of my sink. The seams in previous homes of ours have been nearly invisible, and you couldn't feel them. The second crew is where this company really let me down. The crew they sent was a 2 man crew who didn't actually work for them. This guy stated that he actually owned his own granite company and he was doing a favor for them because they were so busy. I thought, great, I have the owner of another company doing my install, it's going to look great. WRONG! He installed 5 bathroom sinks crooked. When I say crooked I mean some of them are actually cockeyed in the cutout, while others are straight, but moved to the left or right which means the drain isn't inline with the faucet holes. We installed 3 piece faucets on all of those sinks, for which he did the cut outs. Guess what... They are crooked as well. Not 1 faucet lines up with the drains in the sink... both of which are supposed to be in the center. The silicone he used where the back splash meets the counter was everywhere, and not neat. He didn't clean up after himself at all. All the cardboard and epoxy and tongue depressors that are used to mix the epoxy was everywhere. He wiped the excess epoxy into the faucet holes after he cut them out. It dried hard as a rock, as epoxy does so I had to chisel it our in order to even fit the faucets in the hole. In addition to this, he was so careless with the epoxy when attaching the sinks that it was everywhere. the seam of epoxy between the sink and bottom side of the granite was goupy, chunky and ugly. After all of this, I didn't even attempt to contact the company, because I figured, as the saying goes, you get what you pay for. If you're reading this review, then you likely know that this company offers the cheapest granite installation in Atlanta. I tried to save a buck by using a company with marginal reviews because they were cheap and it backfired. Not only did I not contact them, I didn't even leave them a bad review. Fast forward four months to today. I emailed them because the epoxy in one of the kitchen seams has deteriorated, there is a giant gap between the 2 pieces of granite, and worst yet, because the seam is directly in the middle of my kitchen sink and faucet, splashed water while doing the dishes drips through the seem into the cabinet below. They responded that it's been too long to warranty the work. Mind you their warranty paperwork says nothing about a timeline. If you can't stand behind your workmanship for 4 months, you don't deserve to be in business. Google this company and all of their multiple names. Read their reviews, look at the pictures of other installations and remember that you get what you pay for. I wish that I had read more reviews. Had I noticed that they had an F Rating from the Better Business Bureau, I would have avoided them, but you live and you learn. read more

I would not recommend this company. I purchased Granite for a very small kitchen. the young man who came to measure assured me that it would be one piece of granite per side. I ask if this would be the case as I didn't want a seam. Francisco said because the piece was so small there wouldn't be a seam. when the installers came they brought 2 pieces per side. When I told them it was supposed to be one piece they said it was all they had, but if I let them install it would look like one piece. I agreed because they had in the contract they would fix any problems within 30 days. As you can see from my pictures the pieces were not the same thickness and they shimmed them to make them meet so now my counter is not level. I tried to work this out with them but they have not answered calls and when I tried to address this through the legal system the person at the court system told me they use different names which makes it difficult to serve them. This was not the first time they had this issue. I just would pay a little more and do business with a company that has a better reputation. I never take the time to leave reviews but this place was awful from the moment we set foot on the property. No greeting at the door and then we were told that they close in 20 minutes so they couldn't really help us at all. I've never heard such a thing from a business that relies on sales! The service person also went out of her way to emphasize the costs even before finding out what we liked because I supposed she figured we couldn't afford it. On the contrary, we came to buy. We told the manger of our poor experience and he was just as bad as the salesperson...nonchalant. Clearly they do not value customers and only put effort into the sale after sizing you up. They treated us as if we were a burden because they were closing in 20 minutes. If you are not ready to serve customers, lock the door and put up your closed sign. BEWARE OF THIS COMPANY. JUST HAD THE INSTALLATION DONE TODAY: RECEIVED DEFECTIVE GRANITE and WRONG SINK CUTOUTS THAT WOULD NOT FIT THE FAUCET and had close to an inch overhangs on all sinks. To add to that, HORRIBLE customer service. The owner did not apologize, did not offer any kind of solution other than you don't want it, we will take it back. We wasted a whole day today and half a day going to the place to check out the colors. I DO NOT recommend!! Very bad customer service! No communication about your purchase. If there is an issue after the deposit is made (even if it's their mistake), they will not make it right and will keep your deposit. They never called me about a change in the price until the night before the install and expected me to pay a big difference in the price. I had to call them to get my install date. We asked who the owner was and they said there was no owner, that it was a corporation. Well, they would not tell me who the officers were either. I called the business license office in Forsyth County and they said they were not a corporation and were owned by Lucian Stanescu. By the way, they have not paid for their business license in 2 years. They finally stopped taking our calls. We tried to serve them, but they insist the owner is no longer there and they refuse all certified mail. If it were possible to give them no stars I would do that. I have never been treated so terribly. LAS Granite or GraniteAnd advertise on Craigslist that they do onsite measurements and templates for every job for an exact fit. I spoke with someone on the phone and "the owner" who reassured me a template would be made. Someone came out and took measurements and had me sign off on it but when the granite arrived it didn't fit. The owner was telling me my cabinets were installed wrong and he was telling his installers to take the shims out (which made my cabinets plum, level, and square out) I told them not to touch my cabinets. After being interrupted and screamed at on the phone the installers took the granite and left. I was told I would get my $500 deposit back. A week later...a check still has not been written. Today they tell my husband they are deducting 20% from my deposit since I won't use the granite they cut, that won't fit my kitchen. They cut a piece of granite based on their own "on site measurements." read more

I would recommend to NEVER EVER do business with this unprofessional company you get what you pay for! I spoke with who is supposedly the owner called Ricardo, extremely rude and extremely unprofessional he made the installers UNinstall a piece of the finished product because they tried tagging on an extra $200 because their guy did the measurements wrong! They never gave us an installation date they just said in a couple weeks, so after waiting almost a month we called in to find out when they were coming out and then all the sudden they said we can come in two days. The bill was paid in full but like I said the installers hit us up for an additional $223 AFTER the job was done! They said it was due to extra square footage even though it was their error in getting the measurements incorrect, they literally uninstalled a chunk of the finished product and left. When I talked to Ricardo on the phone he was the rudest most unprofessional business owner I've ever talked to. They never told the landlord there would be an additional charge for the incorrect measurements they just dropped it on the tenant! That is no way to run a business. The money and business aspect should be between the landlord and the company, not the renter who is just the middleman! Landlord paid the bill in full and has receipt of it and granite and.com aka LAS Granite sneakily added on an additional $223 charge because they said the measurements were incorrect! This has been a total waste of time. They don't keep schedule appointments and are not at all a professional company! they don't care if people have to miss work when they are no shows for their 'appointments' they reschedule without telling you or the landlord. I wish there was a way to get a zero star review and even then that doesn't explain how unprofessional and rude this company is! I would stay away and save the drama and headache! read more

I purchased granite, from 1895 granite , since June 17 2016 and as to the date of today September 18 2016 they still haven't finish with my work and what they have done its all unleveld and they also busted my dishwasher hose and they didn't fixed it or tell us i found out cause i used it the night and all the water was all over the kitchen, and they tell us they are coming over on September 17 2016 and they don't even call or show up, im all disappointed with the company had bad experience with them, i will not recommend them... read more

beware!...never do business with them They took 75% advance upfront 10 days before. They were supposed to show up at 9:00 am on Thursday. When I call them at 10:00am they said they were preparing for the trip. at 11:00am they said they have not promised that they will show up. At 2:00pm they said some one will show up just to remove the counter top. Finally they showed up at 4:00pm. They wanted the remaining check even before they started the work. They took a look around and talked about some electric connection that needs to be removed and they left with out even saying when they will be back. I call them once the crew left and the owner was pretty rude. He raised his voice and talked exactly like a thug. He said this is how it will be done. He said the will show up at 8:00am next day. Next day they showed up 8:45am. They took 4 hrs to complete the job. When the time came to pay the remaining 25% I talked to the owner on the phone and he was still rude. He did not ask sorry for the delay and he said he does not care as the work is done. I was there without kitchen for an extra day because of them. He never asked sorry and was still rude and talked like a thug. I also told him that he is talking rude and he said he wont care abt it. The crew meanwhile was taking a threatening posture and came inside my house even after I asked them to leave. I wanted to get rid of them quickly so i wrote the check quickly so they will leave. I noticed that they have not done a good job and the finish is not smooth. I am not sure if there is any legal way to get them to task for their unethical rude and threatening behavior. read more

I just got my kitchen done with LAS granite.I was a bit shaky in the beginning reading the mix reviews but then I took the chance and went with them. The office was nice and showed me around pretty well on the options they had. Second the guy came on time for the pre installation measurements and came back again since he missed one thing. He was very well versed in English and friendly. Then they the install on the day they had told me. The installers were very friendly too and knew their job very well. They are the worst company in business in the whole USA! The staff has a bad attitude, they will take your deposit and will not do the job. I waited 4 weeks and had 3 appointments missed and they did not even call to cancel! There attitude is well if you don't like it shop some place else! read more

just recently updated my home , it came out wonderful , i was a little sketchy but contractors that were there said they have done plenty of jobs and they were content . i am glad i went with them i saved over $1,000 worth of counter space. they really are 18.95 other companies were charging me 30 - 57 dollars a square foot for some of the same colors that they have, i am glad i was able to go to this place , have your checkbooks ready , its a good thing i carry mine if if not i probably would have done a second trip. read more
