    Absolutely recommend!!!…read more I rarely do reviews that aren't restaurants but Richmond's Air was so great I think it's important that people know what the experience is like. First: Competitors I got several estimates - My home warranty's contractor, Home Depot/ARS, a friend's husband, and Richmond's Air. Richmond's Air was the most reasonable price among all estimates, even the friend! He also took less than 30 minutes to take a look and give me an estimate. Home Depot was here for hours and gave me a presentation and ultimately an unbelievably high price which they later slashed by $4k when I said I wouldn't choose them. Still too high, also weird that they were gonna charge $4k extra? Second: Communication/Punctuality James told me a reasonable window of time that the team would arrive and also when they'd complete the job. They gave me a call beforehand to let me know they were running a little late, regardless the job was done on time (same day). They replaced everything but my furnace. Finally: Service The team was friendly and explained anything I asked about and even helped me install my new thermostat. They put a drop cloth down from the front door to the AC and left minimal dust or mess. They also gave me the manuals for the equipment as well as told me about the 10 year warranty. This was all a month ago and my AC has been working perfectly since and air quality reads way cleaner than when I moved in. Dealing with a broken AC in Houston is horrible and I highly recommend reaching out to Richmond's Air instead of wasting time shopping for multiple other quotes. Maybe get one other one and compare, you'll see the difference. Price, service, and quality were great. Would definitely call again for my next home.

The representative was very helpful and quickly scheduled a technician to come out the same day at 12:00 PM, which I really appreciated. Tiffany Minnix actually arrived earlier than expected, which was a pleasant surprise. Tiffany was professional, friendly, and extremely knowledgeable and took the time to carefully inspect the unit, and made sure I understood the situation. Tiffany provided excellent service and made the entire process easy and stress-free. Tiffany professionalism, punctuality, and attention to detail truly stood out. It is rare to find technicians who are both skilled and customer-focused, and Tiffany delivered on both. I highly recommend Richmond's Air, and especially Tiffany Minnix, to anyone needing reliable and trustworthy HVAC service. Thank you for the outstanding experience.

    What started out as a second opinion on some work on my AC unit turned into a long term customer…read moregoing forward. I was having difficulty with my zoned AC unit. They came out and made an initial assessment. Parker was able to replace a couple of motors on the dampers to try and solve the problem at a much better price than I was quoted by my regular AC service company. This needed to be done regardless. Shortly after, the same problem persisted so I called again and Daisy scheduled another appointment for the very next morning. They came out the next morning and did some further investigating and discovered what they thought was the source of the problem and they offered a discount on the new part/labor considering that I had already paid for the motors.I never felt like they were trying to do an upsell or pressuring me to do unnecessary repairs. Their prices are very, very competitive. They were very persistent in trying to solve the problem and needless to say, my problem was solved today and their customer service is A++. I want to specifically thank the technician that worked on everything, Parker, he's a great tech and all-around good guy. Please support this local business, you will not be disappointed!!!

First thing Monday morning Angela returned my call and we set an appointment for that afternoon. Air Woodlands tech, Andy, was the best. He arrived early, introduced himself and promptly had our air conditioner running efficiently again. Andy's professionalism and friendliness inspired confidence that the job was well done.     When I called around for a rough quote the other companies were evasive about price. They all…read morepushed to send out a rep for a free quote. I did get a quote from an American Standard AC dealer for a 5 ton condenser and it was very high. I called ACT and the person answered on the second ring and was very transparent. No BS evasive attempt to get me a "free on site service quote," just an honest answer with a complete price quote over the phone, which was $1,800 less for a 2 seer better unit. Carrier or Bryant not an off brand. She said Mitch could be there in 30 minutes for a formal quote. 32 minutes later Mitch arrived. Same no BS approach, just straight forward communication and no pressure. Gave me a written quote which was the exact price the lady on the phone gave me. That was 4:00pm. Said they would be back at 8:30 AM. After a very hot night their truck rolled up at exactly 8:28 AM. Two hours later they were done and the house was cool. Great people. Mitch was there with his assistant not some "B team" once they had a sale. They remove their shoes, explain everything in detail and DON'T try to sell you service plans prepaid in the future. He even took the time to show me their high end digital pressure gauges and showed me the pressure reading on the gauge was the same number on the specification plate. The unit was brand new 2016 unit in the original packing. For no extra fee they even replaced my crusty old concrete pad under the unit with a brand new one, just did it without me having to ask. To top it off before he left he offered to service my 20 year old upstairs unit no charge. I sort of figured I would get the scare tactic to buy another unit. They took the old unit apart and cleaned it up free. When I asked him how it looked he said "pretty amazing, 20 year old unit still going strong. Just call us if it ever dies." They cleaned up completely and drove away. You can believe me, when that upstairs unit finally does die I will definitely call these guys back!

I have been their customer for years, using them for work at two different rentals, including installation of an entire new system in one of them, less than 7 years ago. Last week this system showed some problems. I actually forgot it was under a 10-year warranty and called another HVAC company. Their tech came out and told me what was wrong (clogged coil) and suggested I use ACTexas to fix the part (under warranty) since they were the original installers. This tech didn't even charge me for the service call, which is unheard of! When the ACTexas tech came, he confirmed it was the coil, but instead of suggesting the replacement they tried to sell me an entire new HVAC system! When I insisted on replacing just the coil (under warranty) they wanted to charge me an outrageous labor charge, far above the national average, and again tried to convince me to buy a new system. I declined. They then tried to scare me into buying a new unit stating that entire unit was old, over 10+ years and probably would need replacement soon anyway. Hello?! Did they forget they installed it themselves 6-1/2 years ago? I declined again pointing out what they said was not true. They then dropped their price for the coil installation, twice (!), but still nowhere near what it should be. I went back to the other HVAC company. Those people offered to do the coil replacement for a lot less money. (They did not know how much ACTexas charged). They came to do the job and while they were there another part started to fail. They actually ran out immediately and got that part and installed it free of charge as well! On a side note, I was told by two different HVAC companies who looked at this particular unit that it was an inferior brand sold to me at the time by ACTexas. Needless to say, I will not be using ACTexas ever again.
