The last two days it dropped to 45 in the morning, so my wife wants to use the heater. But it wasn't turning on. I emailed KAC Express, assuming I would need to book an appointment sometime next week. Nope. Trung calls me immediately and says they are sending someone to my house. The young man that came was extremely professional, went above and beyond. Even took his shoes off entering my house without being asked lol. So polite. Got it all done in the attic and even advised me on some things I could do for preventative maintenance. KAC Express put in a completely new system a few years ago, including ductwork, which was so well insulated, it looked like they were installing space suits! The system was so efficient our electric bills went down and we were cooler than ever. However, Sunday night, we were not getting any air movement! I called Monday morning and they came out that afternoon!!! He looked at multiple things, including the air filter! That was the problem! Fortunately, we use good filters and keep some ready at the house. We just need to change them more often. Having a long hair Siberian cat in this 100 degree heat, who needs lots of combing and brushing means changing filters more often. I thought the cost of the service bisit would be more, to be honest. We were surprised. When we look at costs of things, we look at value, not cost. For example, about 10 years ago in another house, we had John Moore come out to look at a problem because they have "a free assessment". Their service guy said it was free ONLY if they do the service work, and he expected to get paid for his estimate! KAC Express has ALWAYS been above board! Their work ethic has ALWAYS been a step above! Thus why I FULLY RECOMMEND KAC Express to anyone needing HVAC service or a new system. Top notch and trustworthy company Here is the timeline: - called Friday morning and was advised a technician could be there between 3-5. - was recalled appx 1:30 and advised that the technician could be a little earlier, would that be ok? Confirmed the earlier time - technician arrived appx. 2:30 - appx 2:45 was advised what the issues were with our unit. 3:15 had an estimation. Told the technician I need to talk it over w/ my husband - 4 ish called the main number and let them know we wanted to move ahead with inputting the new unit. They could not verify that they could do it Saturday but would try. - 10am sat morning confirmed to get installed that day -12:15 arrival - New AC installed by 3pm In less than 24 hours we had a new unit. In this summer heat, all of us being cranky, and not having slept for a few days bc of our old unit not cooling, I can't thank this company/ man enough for his help. The price we got was economical, but more over, they were communicative, on time, professional and kind. Our AC had been fixed a few times and after 30 years of service (original to house) it finally required replacement. We had looked around, gotten several quotes, and they were all virtually within a few hundred dollars of each other. Since the price was within 'the range' we asked about service next, my cousin, who also used KAC, had a positive experience -- and had zero issues with his AC after it was installed, we decided to go with them. (After talking to several friends who used various companies did not have that experience at all!) They were incredible. Mr. Trung showed up the day before to get payment, and verify what they would be installing, and gave us a rundown of what to expect. They showed up the next day on time, tarps to keep the area clean, they installed the unit, and when they left the place was clean, and you barely knew they had been there. We had the unit installed mid-April along with a new thermostat, and a quick lesson on the thermostat. It's been perfect since (it's now early July). Our unit replacement was the full unit, both the AC/Heat. Our AC bill is slightly lower. I'd recommend this company to anyone installing a new AC. (Since we have 2 units, I will be using them for the second one). They were very professional, kept to the schedule and prompt, installation was done well - a trifecta that's hard to achieve in this industry. 5 stars hands down. *Update* 10-26-2022 We just had our 2nd unit replaced. Our AC has just not been cooling properly since a recent power outage last. It had struggled to get the house cooler than 80 degrees, which has made for some pretty sleepless nights. We had KAC Express come out and they replaced the air handler and now it is cooling nicely. KAC Express installed my system in 2013-14 time frame. . My electric bill went down immediately. After which it worked great each year. Sadly, I recently noted it was struggling to keep the house cool. On Friday, it got pretty bad that evening. I sent a message and they came out the next day. My unit was leaking and the coil needed to be replaced. They added coolant so it would hold until Monday when they could get a new coil. They called back and said they were able to get the part and could do it the same day. They came back with 4 people and finished up the work in less than 3 hours.
